Two miles away, Terminal 3 of Beijing International Airport is one of the largest buildings in the world, opened in time for the 2008 Olympic Games, and features a stunning design carried by signature architects Foster + Partners.

It used the traditional Chinese color scheme of red and yellow and the shape of a dragon to evoke Chinese history and culture. The building area is 1.3 million square meters and was designed to accommodate 50 million passengers annually by 2020.
