Went to the holiday event (Wildlights) so much family fun! Definitely a new tradition :)
Very disappointing. There is almost nothing to see and super small. If it was $25 for our family, then its acceptable but to pay 50 for this tiny park is auch a ripoff
Funds go to supporting animals and wildlife in need. The employees and parks people are all friendly. There are plenty of different animals and wildlife to see throughout the park. The lights done for the holidays in the park were beautiful. It can be a fun and educational place for all ages, I'd reccommended it to anyone.
We went to the wild lights display and it was awesome we loved it. So many lights super fun. I did feel bad for some of the animals tho the turkey was quite agitated and instead of shutting that particular area down so it might calm down they said oh it's only another few hours he will be fine. He didnt appear fine to me but I also do not deal with that animal daily so it was just my observation. Otherwise it was awesome very clean very welcoming. My neighbor even got a picture with santa the maze was fun. The line up was much too long for the train for me, but i had a great time none the less.
Such beutiful Christmas light set up. We go every year.
Nice place, nice staff. Very welcoming to questions and staff seem to actually care about the animals. The spirit bear presentation is interesting and they have a great junior ranger type program where kids do some research and a short presentation to staff and in return get one of a few terrific little pins to collect.
Coolest "zoo" I have ever visited. It's actually an animal refuge for injured and abandoned animals. You'll see a lot of amazing local wildlife that would not be able to take care of itself in the wild and are taken care of here. Great place to visit and be sure to see the grizzlies.
We enjoyed seeing the wild animals. These animals get a second chance in life while educating the public. Each animal has a story, which we learned about during the animals feeding talk.
Was pretty neat, kids liked it. Train ride was fun.
Amazing family days here and the train kids just love. This bear also had such personality.
A nice place to spend a few hours looking at wildlife that has been saved.
My toddler loves it here. Lots to see and they update little Interactive areas for kids inside. Animals are well taken care of. Fav part is every year they do wildlights at Xmas, it is so pretty and fun!
Small zoo, but intimate. Up close view of many local animals
Total disorganization of a fund raising event. Put a damper on many peoples day. The park itself is very clean and a nice walk and play area for the kids. If only realizing one bbq and one hot chocolate container with one poor person cooking frozen hot dogs and taking payment was not going to be able to deal with the large crowd that surely they expected . Every stage was chaos. No one has a problem supporting the charity but it was over an hour to get a hotdog. Was not well thought out or set up. Today was a chance for the park to shine and bring people back again. Based on the conversations in line that I heard that will be a tough sell again sadly .
Love the place. Well maintained and animals look happy and healthy. Great place for the kids and adults.
Great place to take people who aren't from Canada to get a taste of the local wildlife.
Over priced for what you get. Season pass is the way to go. Food is way over price and not good.
Very clean facility and the animals are those that would otherwise perish due to their previous human interactions or injuries.
Had blast! Definitely way more to do there then we expected!!! Worth every penny will be going back!
Loved seeing the animals. Watched some wolves at feeding time.
A wonderful way to spend a day viewing all the animals that are native to BC and so educational to both children and adults
Amazing grounds and lots of activities to do and see. Gift shop has great quality made items. Food is delicious specially the onion rings and icecream.
A great afternoon! A shame the waterfalls aren't accessible any longer.
We regularly visit to see the animals; it's a lovely place for a walk, too. The playground is unusual and a lot of fun.
We went at Christmas for the light display. The animals where tucked away for yhe night and cold weather. It was a nice walk seeing the Xmas lights. A couple fires to stand by. I enjoyed it.
What a great setup! Lots to see. A little Bee maze, lots of bears, even a rare spirit bear. Goats and mountain goats, sheep and big horned sheep. Buffalo, bobcats, bears, bald eagles and elk. We loved riding the train, and for a dollar each it's worth it! Cool down with an ice cream snack at the caboose.
It might be better to come when the weather is slightly cooler as we didn't see much of the bears, hiding from the sun!
Bathrooms are nice. There are lots of spaces for picnicking too.
As always, exit through the gift shop!
We loved it here! It is awesome that on most exhibits you can walk fully around the enclosure to get a good view of the animals. Also the exhibits are easy to view through the fence. Our 3 year old loved the train and getting her photo with Rouge at the birds of prey show.
If you want to see some local animals from up close, go there! Lots of interactive stuff for kids as well, they will love it for sure.
Personally think it's over priced. The wildlife is really great and there's a train ride you can take. A great place to spend the afternoon though. Water park for the kids, gift shop, and a cafe!
Great place to bring kids or just come as an adult and check out some hard to see in the wild animals.
Whole family enjoyed themselves even though it rained for most of our visit. Kids were able to occupy themselves at the play area while we waited out the rain.
during off season when animals are not visible there shoulf be a discounted price. felt like jurassic park....are there any animals on this tour?
Wonderful and clean little park. Really enjoyed walking around and looking at the different animals.
Great way to see animals you normally wouldn't see in BC. Managed to get there at feeding time around 2pm and would highly recommend. An awesome family activity and a nice way for my husband and I to spend the afternoon in Kamloops!
Great place and though this is a late review I love how they had lights up during the Christmas season which made for good photos with the snow
We had a wonderful time and made some great memories with our 11 year old granddaughter. She loved the encounter with the owl. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. I would go again and would tell other. There is lots to do including a very nice train ride and play area.
Lots of fun! Great to see animals closer up! I wish the gift shop had some different stuff though.
Spray park was disappointing but we enjoyed the train
This place is so fun ! We spent way more time there than we thought. Maria and James at the goat station are absolutely lovely .They made our day with knowledge of the park and were just so great to chat with.I was a bit apprehensive at first that is was a zoo but with further research we found out it is a rehabilitation place for hurt or abandoned animals .The map will guide you through the park by numbers and at each station there are write ups about how the animals got there and why. Don't miss the porcupine !!! I had no idea porcupines could climb trees and walk backwards down the cage ! So interesting to see the white bear playing in the water and the cute little train ride is a must .We don't have kids but there is a super awesome water park to cool you and your kiddos down .Ohh and I almost forgot the falcon show !!! The trainer is so sweet and caring towards her. If she isn't too pooped you could get pic with them and get a close up view of this powerful bird .Wear comfy walking shoes and bring sun lotion. There is a huge parking lot and lots to see inside too.We loved this place and so happy we went .
Love the Bc wildlife park, it always has such amazing events for the children. Well done everyone! And thank you!!
Nice place , nice people at front desk, very neat and clean .
Well kept grounds and animal areas. Excellent educational programs for endangered species n those which have been rescued. Friendly staff, well stocked snack bar n gift shop.
Really fun place to walk around and see some really cool animals.
Some Animals dont have a lot of Space. But it was ok
It was a great experience for my kids. Especially the sad story behind the
One day I'll see the kermode, they ate always inside or hiding, also I'd like to do the falls walk but you would ha e to call in advance to see if the season is open.
Went for the wildlights. Daughter love the animals and all of the colours.
Wonderful wildlife park taking in animals that have been injured and taking care of them. Beautiful insight to how they may live in the wild.
It was a great learning experience for our littles to see the rehabilitation North American animals up close. We need to educate more on these critters! Deffiently will be back in the future. Thank you for the experience.
Very cool place to go with family and friends. Wide variety of wildlife available for viewing with bits of information on them provided. Excellent for taking younglings on an educational tour.
Best part was watching the kermode bear(only one in captivity) frolic in the water. Best to go early before the animals retreat to the shade. Might not see all animals so temper expectations.
Fun park, lots to do, wildlights are a blast in the winter and the animals are fun in the summer.
There are a lot of interesting animals to see here. Some of them have large enclosures so be mentally prepared not to see every animal. We saw the grizzly bears but not the black bears or the kermode bear. The raptors were amazing with numerous eagles and owls.
Fun place for all and great concerts. Just seen George Canyon, Sean Austin and county line . Fun at Christmas too with the lights etc.
Huge area for kids to run and play (dedicated climbing structures, petting zoo, spray park area). Places to picnic, friendly staff and a train that tours around to boot. Wonderful for any age. More agile toes needed to get up to see the waterfall path at the far end. Loved it.
Well organized. Great place for kids education. $1 for the train ride but accept only cash, so bring some changes.
Great spot! Lots of animals and information, my kids loved it
Tons of improvements and additions in the past few years. I was very impressed. There are definitely several things that could be improved (some displays have no signage so you don't know what it is, some broken interactive buttons, more staff lingering throughout the various areas to answer questions, more trees and shrubs in the outdoor exhibits). However, overall the great parts far outweigh those things and I'm assuming the park is doing the best they can within their budget. My kids and I had a great time.
Nice spot to take younger kids. The first 4 enclosures we viewed seemed to be empty. Areas of the park seemed run down and need work. Our son, who is 11, enjoyed it but I think he'll soon be to old for it.
Very awesome place to take kids, adults and seniors! Very informative.
They take injured animals as well. I brought a hurt crow today and they were very welcoming! :)
