Great place to spend a few hours and you definitely need the time. Lots to see and a wonderful adventure. The water park to go in for the kids to cool off is perfect on a hot day. I absolutely recommend this place. Love the gift shop too.
Well laid out, very interesting, and good to see the injured animals being so well looked after.
Very cool, even in -10. Went at 1:00 for the warmest time of day. (And i think feeding time.)
Seen most of the animals. The cougars were hiding out inside. Bears obviously still hibernating. Predator bird exibit was awesome.
Great place to spend a couple hours and see the indigenous wildlife.
2nd visit here & it's a nice place to spend a few hrs walking around looking at things. The mini train is always fun !!!
There is nothing much to explore, they have rescued animals.
Excellent experience. Great variety and it was nice to see animals in a zoo that don't look stir crazy, just pacing back and forth along the same piece of fence
This was one of those places you expect to spend, maybe an hour at we ended up spending the day.
The the British Columbia Wildlife Park is 43 hectares of zoological creativity.
All the birds and animals here are rescued, and are either in the process of rehabilitation, for release, or are long term residents, because of an impairment or permanent injury and an inability to survive in the wild.
Enclosures here, are typically free range open space, within perimeter fencing. The Mountain Goat enclosure, for example, has much of the mountainside - included in their enclosure.
The park boasts an expansive, and impressive, open air amphitheater, at which they feature Birds of Prey demonstrations - worth the modest price of admission, alone. They also offer up-close and very informative presentations, on the more exotic animals in their care.
The B.C. Wildlife Park offers all manner of information on the birds and animals of this part of the world. The staff here are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly, putting this special park, over-the-top, for a five star recommendation as a must experience destination.
Close viewing of select wild life in a relatively open environment. Nice kids train and play area both indoor and outdoor. Some performance in the amphitheatre area. It's more of preservation and rehabilitation than a zoo.
It was ok. We went on a very hot day and so the walking was difficult. The train tour covered everything and so we didn't have to walk a lot.
One of the best shots I've been to. Nice large cages for the animals and good viewing areas to actually see them.
I am absolutley in love with this park. Their Rehab program is amazing. The volunteers are amazing and always ready to answer questions. We buy a year pass and you get into the greater Vancouver Zoo for free. Help support this amazing sanctuary.
This park is probably extraordinary when all the animals of which present ... it was not the case, alas, during our visit
This is a great place to spend a couple of hours wandering around in a relaxed atmosphere while staying at Kamloops. It allows you to see the local animals including grizzly bears that you might not otherwise see, and it helps fund the park's animal recovery programme. Enjoy a cold drink or coffee after the walk to complete an enjoyable morning or afternoon.
Great place, friendly staff, great animals in a very natural setting
The most amazing wildlife park in the interior. Come spend a day with family and kids. Lots of fun activities for kids, along with a family farm experiencd where you can interact with friendly farm animals.
The park is located on the highway just 16kms from Kamloops. There are regular buses to and fro from the city center.
Was so happy to come here, plus the train ride was awesome Haha! What a great place to explore
Here you can take a little train, you can brush the sheep , there is not much animals, but all animals are looks healthy
Kids have lots of fun here, but bring water as there are no water fountains.
What a great facility! They have a Albino grizzly (Kermode) from up north near Terrace BC. This wildlife park is a hit with locals and tourists alike...a huge selection of wildlife with interactive tours for adults and kids. Food, beverages and a cool place to sit inside...friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Train is great price. Price to get in park for family is steep.
Friendly and welcoming. They were happy to help us bring in an injured bird and let us call for updates on him.
Staff are enthusiastic about educating visitors, and the animals seem well cared for.
Really lucky to have with park in town, great outing for kids of all ages and always interesting, even for adults. Many cool animals to see and they always put on fun events for kids like Easter hunts, wild lights and Halloween. The annual family pass is well worth the cost and will continue to get it.
Fantastic love it here! Everyone is super friendly!
Great stop for folks of all ages. Both educational and entertaining.
Lots of cool local wildlife up closer than you could ask for - plus all of the animals are rescues so there's no zoo style profiteering
A great place to enjoy a quiet nature walk and to observe wildlife.
Big park, nice playground, many animals... great experience.
We have a great time every visit. The staff are very friendly a s knowledgeable.
Love that they take in injured animals. The kids loved the train ride and seeing animals/insects etc
Train wasn't working. Grandkids did like the playground. Went from 1230 to 330 and the animals were mainly sleeping.
The birds and wildlife have a fast moving Infection
Particularly suitable for children, not very large, paths are easy to drive with strollers.
Beautiful park as always. Appreciated the 10 week extension on my pass due to covid closure
A great and relatively cheap park to visit to see wild animals and enjoy a day out with the family. We spent 3 hours wandering around and enjoyed the "flying birds show". Definitely recommended if in the area.
We took the kids to boo in the zoo they absolutely loved it it's a great place to go when you want quality family time or even just an putting with friends
Informatve about wild life ..I lived the train which took us through the park ..there were not a lot of animals to see
Great place to take children to learn about animals native to BC. I love to take out-of-town visitors here to spend the afternoon. The birds of prey centre and the grizzly bears are usually the highlight of the visit!
More of a wildlife sanctuary for injured and orphans It's a good educational place for kids. The pricing reflects the good work being done, vs rare sights.
A very comfortable walk .
Nice happy animals
I like putting money towards these types of environments.thank you for teaching us.
Great educational/ rehab facility and animals seem well cared for. Clover, the kermode bear is an absolute cutie!
I love this place, we go a few times a year. We plan on purchasing memberships this spring as we are relocating to the area. It is not an all day park but you can certainly spend 2-3 hours and have a picnic or lunch at the venue.
Great place to go and see some cool wildlife. They have it set up very well. Would recommend visiting.
Animals seemed well cared for and content. Keepers were knowledgeable. Facility is well maintained. Great place for kids as well as adults.
Really nice place to visit to see all the wild life.
Affordable fun! The animals are treated well. The little train ride is great fun for kids.
We've passed by so many times visiting family in Chase, finally we stopped and we can't wait to come back!
We were here for a birthday celebration concert. Great concert venue. We also enjoyed the exhibits and animal rescue stories. Educational and a great resource for studying animals. We will be back.
Park itself is great, the food service options are terrible and understaffed. Bring your own snacks and water.
Nice family place. My wife and I went with our 5 kids ages 2 to 13. Everyone enjoyed it.
Well organised, clean, animals well kept and looked after, good facilities, shame covid has took away some of the education details away for children.
Very educational, will probably come back in the summer since most of the large animals were hibernating
The BC Wildlife Park was a fun place to spend the afternoon. Highlights for the kids included the birds of prey and the reptiles. We had the opportunity to meet a burrowing owl named Fin who is the ambassador for her species. There is also an indoor exploration area for kids and a gift shop. The staff were all wonderfully friendly and knowledgeable. The train does not run in the winter. Family rates are available as well as annual passes. Strollers and wagons are available to rent for a small fee. Vancouver members can receive a discount on individual entry fees.
There was a very rude cahier/stores clerk at the gift shop. She was very disrespectful in the way she treated us during our shopping experience. I emailed their customer feedback site but it seems like the management does not take feedback seriously. I guess they don't value any to improve their customer service. I therefore would not come back or recommend anyone to visit the gift shop.
The park has a number of different animals and birds and reptiles. Some of bears were hibernating when I was there but a friend went and saw a Grizzly. We enjoyed this
It was pretty good I thought the price was a little high but lots of displays
Winter is not ideal but the animals that are out are much more relax then when it's busy.
Always a great time at the wildlife park. The lights were fantastic and so much effort has been put it. Absolutely amazing!
Great spot for kids to explore. Christmas lights are great if your around kamloops area near Christmas.
Great for families friendly staff and fun ($1) train rides!
Great little trip to see some bears, wolfs and other animals.
Awesome place! So much wildlife and so happy it's a rehabilitation center and not a zoo! My girlfriend and I (both 21) had an awesome time here! We spent most of the day touring around and checking out every exhibit.
Nice small zoo and animal rescue. If you're unlucky, many animals could be hiding out of sight. Usually there's a small train run by volunteers but wasn't running the days we visited this time. Some physical distancing and staff wore masks.
This place is amazing! Could watch the bears for hours.
Very informative esp for kids. We will definitely go back there.
The wildlife lights were not as good as I was expecting and since it is so dark you cannot see any of the anima s
