Not as prepared for the large holiday crowd as they should have been
watched the wild nights, must say was little dissapointed same price as if can see the animals, but couldnt. mostly closed. little sad.
My family and I love going to the BC wildlife park. We love walking around and learning new things. They also have great holiday themed attractions.
Very friendly, lots to experience and things to look at. Knowledgeable staff, year long events for children and families.
Loved seeing the Kemodie bear!! The park was quite small and some animals were hard to see, but the true attraction was right there. The bears were awesome to watch!!
Beautiful place, all the animal caretakers know the animals and their stories well. The wild animal hospital is also exceptional I've taken an animal in before and been very impressed. The events that they hold here are always wonderful.
Great family place! Loved the birds of prey show and the grizzly bears! Can't wait to come back to see the Spirit bear!
This place is amazing! We dropped by this place on our way to the home and it was a right choice. If you like animals, this is the place.
Wild Lights was incredible! They have really taken it up a notch. So much fun for the kids. A Kamloops Christmas tradition.
Animals look happy, very educational, friendly employees
Very informative staff, great exhibits and shows. It seems that every time I come here they have something new and super cool! The christmas lights display is also definitely worth a visit.
Under species-appropriate livestock I understand something else! M. E. the park should be an advertisement for BC-NP.
I've come here many times over the course of my life so maybe nostalgia is a factor but I love this wildlife park. It's reasonably priced and most of the animals are usually out to see instead of hiding away in their cages. It's also highly informative with lots of fun facts scattered throughout the paths, I'd recommend it as a great family activity, date idea or just to go learn a little and check out our wildlife.
Winter time so not all awake. The eagles and cougars worth the visit. Love to do again in spring.
This is such a great place to bring the children and me. It so happens to not be very busy the times that we visit and it makes for a very relaxing and informative stroll.
Always something fun/interesting to see, their events are top notch and it seems like they are playing a game of one-upmanship with themselves each year. Food is great, staff are really friendly and it's really family friendly.
We've been going here for 7 years, since our kids were babies. Animals are well cared for and the staff is awesome.
You can tell that this zoo keeps good care of the animals. It is not very large and could be considered a little expensive for the length of time it takes to see everything on display. Now it is the times of covid and there were displays and shows that were closed . They have an amphitheater that would likely be entertaining and educational for children and the adults , if this was operating then I feel it would be worth the price. Because of flooding , we couldn't go on the nature walk around the back of the park, this I hear has a waterfall and i could see the small river.
A wonderful place to bring you family. A lot of walking so bring a wagon or stroller for smaller children. Great educational resource for gield trips. The splash park and playground are wonderful add ons too. The train was not working due to mechanical issues when we were there but it was still a great visit. They have many covid procedures in place too to protect patrons. My only criticism would be the open rock collection in the gift shop is a bin where I observed MANY tourists put their hands in it to collect rocks. I don't think this should be open at all. We steered clear of it. Otherwise a wonderful place to spend a good 2 to 3 hours. My favorite was the birds of prey exhibit. The snack station and gift shop were surprisingly very fair priced for their items. 10 out 10 recommended
I like the work that's done here. The staff are professional and friendly. Its clean and well maintained with a good map and information.
Loved visiting the animals. So lovely. Couldn't see the brown & kermode bear tho.
My son loves going here to ride on the little train and see the animals.. try and go early in the summer. Cause when it gets hot the animals stay in the shade
Great family place one down fall the animals pens need TLC very overgrown
I love supporting this place! No matter what time of year, they have something going on worth your attention.
It was ok. Pleasant for the kids and the train ride was fun.
Great well cared for park. Lots if fun stuff to do for the kids as well (aside from the animals) theres a playground, spray park, sandbox, maze and mini train.
3 year olds should NOT have to be paid for. It was nice to see the animals, but for us it wasn't worth $49. Prices for adults are reasonable but they ought to charge maybe $1 per year of age for kids. $12 for a 3 year old is a tad ridiculous.
The Wildlife Park employees are friendly and knowledgeable. The animals that live at the park are cared for and are given material that stimulate their brains. Be prepared to walk, as there is no train that gets you from one place to the other.the train that is there picks up and drops off at the same place.
This place is really cool! It s not like a regular zoo - here you can get quite close to the animals. The animals also seemed really happy and stimulated. We were there at the perfect time where we saw almost all the bears getting fed. We could hear them walk by a snort!
Hubby and I on a weekend trip. Spent about 3 hrs here. We loved it. The rehab animals are beautiful and well cared for. Highly recommend. Great family place. Rates were reasonable.
Very lovely atmosphere, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Very nice walk to see the animals. There is a train, but we wanted to walk . I think you see more.
Great place to take the kids and see the Christmas lights
Took my granddaughter as I used to take my kids every year. It was amazing as usual. My granddaughter is 17 months and the volunteers threw eggs close to her so she could find them easily. She loved the train only one ride wait. We will be back.
Animals in my opinion need larger inclousures, especially the grizzlies, they are massive animals that knees space
Very cute. Happy to know that most of the animals are rescues. Great date spot, but make sure to go early.
My fiance and I frequent here. Highly recommended. All of the animals are being rehabilitated, or cannot be released due to disabilities by no means is this a ZOO.
It's just a really fun and informative place to spend the day with your family.
From spirit bear to white wolves.. It was amazing.. Turkey was upset because october 14th is right around the corner ahah
The service in the cafe sucks it's so slow you stand there and it feels like an hour just to get some food. But the parks okay
Was with the Grandkids, very informative, great experience for all of us.
This zoo is a really cute place to visit. If you get a chance to visit in the winter, I highly recommend going because not only is it a zoo during the holiday season it is also a festive light show. They serve hot chocolate for $2.00 and hot dogs for $1.00 there is also an area to pet goats and sheep. The people who worked there are really friendly and the gift shop was fun to look around in too.
A great afternoon trip to take kids of all ages to learn about animals and their habitats! Complete with activity and spray park to cool off in the hot summer!
Totally a Awesome experience, alot of rescue animals, always working on upgrading the park. Lots to see & do.
A pleasant visit, if you are in Kamloops it is imperative to visit this park
We love the Wildlife Park. Its a great place for the kids to run around in a controlled, safe area, and learn about the different animals.
However. We went there today (Sep. 7), and it was fairly busy. For the most part, everyone was social distancing, and the playground was opened and the waterpark area. The kids we not social distancing, which was fine with us, everyone was enjoying themselves. It was not mandatory to wear a mask while in the park area.
We moved onto the train, and even though it is probably the cleanest part of the whole park and they were social distancing people, masks, for anyone over the age of 2, was mandatory.
Our son is autistic. He has a disability. The lady at the ticket booth wasn't going to let our 3.5 year old non-verbal autistic son on the train because due to his DISABILITY he couldn't wear a mask.
I then pointed out that it's discriminatory to not allow him a service due to a disability, and then she informed me that earlier in day she turned away someone for the same reason althought the gentleman was taller and older in age (she did not say what age), but because my son was "little" she would allow it.
Completely unbelievable that they were denying people who have disabilities.
They have animals that would not survive in the wild. It was amazing to see artic wolves, a spirit bear and a bobcat walking around.
Lovely park. Full of beautiful animals and scenery. They even have a miniature train you can ride that will take you to see a good portion of the park. I went on a cool overcast day which is nice when you want to take your time outdoors. Admission is relatively cheap, $15.50 for adults, and the train ride is a dollar, can't beat that.
Great for the whole family. Lots to do and see. Note special events.
A must visit if you're in the Kamloops area. There's a surprising amount of rescued animals here and plenty to do. Great Kamloops gift shop too!
Absolutely love the wildlife park. If you have kids or are on vacation, this is a must! If you are around Kamloops in December don't forget wildlights!
Fun place for the family . All day afair. Bring lunch
Very less animals visible during winter, not a good place during winter time
Pretty cool wildlife park. I checked it out during the holiday season and they had a fantastic array of lights set up at night. Has a little train you can ride on and a gift shop and cafe at the entrance. Only downside, it's a fair drive from Kamloops - close to an hour depending where your coming from. Entrance fee is reasonable.
Not much animals. Many cages empty. Good for children
Great way to keep the kids entertained. The wild lights were amazing. But it's so much better in the summer there is so much to see and there are quite few activities available for the whole family.
Very helpful staff and great day out for the family
Finally we could see Grizzlies without fear to be attacked. Black Bears in all coulours. The moose was so cute...
Fantastic stop. No need to spend all day there, just a few hours. Plenty of animals on offer and a nice small train ride though the park. Very educational and kids loved it. Another must stop place while in Kamloops.
Always a good place to take the kids they can learn and run around, you can bring a picnic, or buy a snack. Lots to see, good experience!
Have been here a couple times now and it s a great place to spend a couple hours. Lots of wildlife that s there s for the right reasons, rehabilitation and rescue. Extremely family and adult friendly with great staff, expect to spend a couple hours here easily. It is wheelchair accessible as well.
Awesome place to visit. Very well done. Admission is reasonably priced
pretty great establishment where all the animals are rescues but if you are Canadian then you have probably already seen all these animals first hand in the wild.
Nice animals which you may or may not see easily during your guess.
Very comfortable visiting today with the grandchildren - even the mini-train running! And lots of animals!
It s ok for a few hour trip but not more. Not comparable to the other other bigger wildlife parks in bigger cities. I guess if you bring your children it will be a very nice day. Without children you can calculate with max 2h time for seeing the whole park.
I liked that it s more like a refugee park for injured animals that are not capable of surviving in the wilderness.
This is always a great place to spend time - lots to see and do and they have one of my favourite gift stores. Having the playground is great for the young ones to burn off some energy.
