It's a great place but I HIGHLY suggest going on a cloudy day or waiting until the fall to go when the weather isn't sweltering hot. Could barely see any animals. Was all a really fun outing though!

A park in the perfect setting! If you are visiting, please consider signing up for the VIP experience. It will match and exceed all your expectations. The Birds of prey experience was educating and it was simply amazing and thrilling to see the birds so closely.
The staff is the best I've encountered - Julie took care of our booking, Michele checked us in at the reception, and Jamie, the falconer helped us learn soooo much.
Definitely gonna visit again for the other experiences!

Fantastic place to bring the family. My children enjoyed all of the park end to end, from animals to play park to multiple train rides. Not a bank breaker either. Easy to find, lots of parking. Decent onsite cafe too.

I visited mid-week during the afternoon, so it was very quiet. Beautiful place with some great animals. The keepers talk on the Bobcat was very informative. It takes about an hour to walk through and see everything. Overall I had a great time.

For nearly two decades we recommend this unique park to all our guests travelling on the Trans Canada to meet animals they might not see on their trip.
Our son Tobias (had stayed at the sanctuary near Smithers too) also learned about First Nations (music). Bravo to owners and staff!

A great place for Kids!

A great place for Kids!

The Wildlife park puts on events all year that are a joy to experience with your kids. From the huge Christmas lights display and winter events, Easter and summer animal variety, bring your kids to run and walk around exploring all of the sights it offers.

School groups, quick stop-ins and anything gin between, the Wildlife Park offers food and playground to entertain the family for hours.

I would love to see more people take advantage of Kamloops Wildlife Park in order for it to continue growing and improving.

When our kids were little we always had a family pass each year. I m sure that we did this until our youngest was in her early teens. We loved to take our kids and their grandma here for a visit when she was visiting us from Abbotsford, B.C.
This was years ago and now our kids take our grandchildren to the Wildlife Park on a regular basis. I would recommend this park to anyone with or without children. The Christmas Wild lights is a beautiful time to go see the lights on display. It s a gorgeous display of the park all lit up. Even the train is lit up. I m not sure if they are still doing this with Covid 19 going on. I would recommend calling ahead to find out if they are still doing this.

Great way to see all the wild BC animals. Loved they were in their natural habitat and most were rescues that would no longer survive in the wild.
Sadly we couldn't find the kermode bear, and there were no lynx this time, but gives us a reason to go back again.

Perfect family day out. From the maze to the train ride, all the well cared for rescued animals to the cafe with a great selection of food & ICE CREAM! Staff are lovely! Our 'go to' family day out.

I have been visiting the Wildlife Park since 1992 when we moved to Kamloops.
The animals and facilities are all well taken care of. Staff is friendly and informative.
It is a great place to take the family for a stroll in the fresh air while finding all the different animals. I love the feeding times when you get to learn more about the featured animal.
The mini train is always a must-do with the kiddos. The kids play area is great fun all year round and love the water spray area in the summer.
I am thankful we have the Wildlife Park in our city!

You support a great cause (animals in rehabilitation) by coming here. The park has a great set up, with the addition of a miniature train that runs through it for tours. The staff is friendly and so are the animals!

Saw a grizzly taking a bath and chilling within 5 meters, life goals completed!!
Non-profit animal conservation for orphaned and injured animals, this is a definite must.
I learnt a lot also, the staff are great at looking after the animals as well as very knowledgeable.
Give to a great cause, 100% recommend.

Cute, fun, scenic. good for younger families. More information on the health, status and recovery of the animals would be cool. Some of the animals had good habitats and space, others less so. Also looks like lots of spaces, vendors and opportunities for special events to happen.

Half of the big ticket animals you can't see like the cougar, black bear, deer, lynx and moose. #20 enclosure is supposed to be the moose which is no longer there but I saw there was supposed to be one on the website.

Otherwise I was impressed with the layout and children's activities, gift shop was great and prices were reasonable.

This place is a must see. Strongly recommend a morning start to see animals fresh before the midday heat. Had lunch here and food was great too. Explore inside to see bees and other animals and take a ride on the miniature train!!

Tons of improvements and additions in the past few years. I was very impressed. There are definitely several things that could be improved (some displays have no signage so you don't know what it is, some broken interactive buttons, more staff lingering throughout the various areas to answer questions, more trees and shrubs in the outdoor exhibits). However, overall the great parts far outweigh those things and I'm assuming the park is doing the best they can within their budget. My kids and I had a great time.

Not much open if you go in April. The train also only runs occassionally not all the time, which isnt specified on their website very clearly. I didn't find out about the train until after we went to the park, and only found the info on the website after searching for 10 minutes. Honestly, we probably wouldn't return
