1st. This is a great place to take your kids! Also a great place to take your homes schooled kids to learn NW history in the Northwest Room (the room is a hidden treasure of history!) This great library and has a excellent DVD and CD collection. Also a great children section that is matched in size to no one else in the libraries around it.
I love the place ,the books and the staff ,I wish the wifi would be a bit fee faster though
The library staff is very polite and professional. The atmosphere and available materials also provide advanced learning technologies required for general and higher education.
Selection is great. The Wi-Fi is atrocious. Every couple of seconds " obtaining IP address", "connected no internet". I've had dial up that was more reliable than this.
Wonderful place to study. Awesome staff. Under updates at the moment. Can't wait to see when it is all done.
This library and it's staff do a great job for it's community. They provide various patron services and always have a interesting event around the corner.
My favorite spot is the Northwest Room and I suggest that anyone amongst the aisles should check it out. Also...they have DVD's man
I love this plase you can find all the books you could ever wont if you're book isn't there you will always find an alternative the staff are frendly and bisids some rude patrins everyone is kind I find it a grate plase to stuby and you can even chat whith frend in the teenzone and its at a convenient plase for student at everitt high seeing its a cuple blox or so away its close to many places I love to go to such as the ymca and my faveritt comic book store also its where I spend most my time to me its like a home away from home I even hope to get a jod there when I'm older (pease excuse my spelling I'm Dyslexic)
Wonderful library, great employees, one of the biggest children s sections and an even bigger adult section. Beautiful, spacious areas to read and a good check out station. They don t charge you a lot if you get late fees unless you let them pile up on you, which isn t a good idea. Just don t forget to check your overdue books and you re good :D
I missplaced an audiobook so obviously fees. Was told we could make payments each time we would go thinking we would find the book. Decided to pay it when collection notice showed in the mail. They failed to inform of this rude process.
Great library, great books, but unfortunately my wife will never come back here again because of being accosted by the homeless vagrants that always inhabit the library. Beware.
Love this place. Staff always friendly, they keep a quiet atmosphere and its always clean. I wish they were pet friendly though. I've been to libraries that are pet friendly and they never had any problems.
This is such a beautiful library. Everyone is so attentive and helpful. I love it here.
This is by far the coolest library in the area. It's got that great, old school library vibe and I could hang out and read here all day. I worked at the library when I was a teenager and this is not a situation where you should work in a place you love to hang out. If you like to read, there are a whole lot of distractions. It's also a public place and your boss can't kick your friends out when they show up to visit you while you work so he eventually throws you out. Technology has advanced quite a bit since my days working at the public library and my kids wouldn't have a clue how to use a card catalog.
This is classic library meets the Jetsons. I love being able to search for books on the internet at home and then pop by and pick them up when I get an email that they've arrived. The staff is friendly and helpful and the experience is always great.
Great library, has tons of books, huge selection, 3 story building
Came in to the library and proceeded to the restroom. The lady in the stall next to me was shooting up! Wow, way to go Washington! I took my kid and left! This is not the type of experience I want for my child or, for that matter anyone's child.
Guess it is a routine experience since the stalls were made to only go up halfway and the bathroom entrance was glass.
Think I will go to the bookstore and call it a day
The Everett Public Library connects the community and all its members to resources and services that inform, educate, and entertain. This Library is so welcoming, warm decor, helpful staff and a plethora of resources.
I like the library itself a lot. It's the patrons that make long phone calls and don't try to speak softly, going on and on, or one day a man was telling another man at a back table on the second floor how to go about his child custody case, and this went on and on, with animated talking. What happened to the good ole days when you whispered in the library??? I wish the library staff or security would make more walking patrols throughout the library to make sure it's decently quiet. Folks should make phone calls in the lobby. It is disturbing.

I wish Everett libraries could allow for a large number of free printing black and white. Shoreline allow s for 21 pages. But I still like the library, workshops, coffee shop, and staff. .

Almost any reference type material you would need. Was told by a staff member they do not censor any material. Computer access almost always immediately available. Knowledgeable and curtious staff.
My kids love this place for the wide selection and are able to do homework on the free to use computers with library card.

My only issue is with the homeless people hanging out inside here. Though, security has increased and you don't see them as often now. I love this library.
I've been coming to this library since I was a baby. It was always a thing for my family to go every Saturday, but I just went in today for the first time in years and reality hit me. I never realized how dangerous it is. The area around the elevators and outside the doors by the cafe are always attracting tweaks. Inside, it was the same. There were some sleeping inside and yelling at the computers upstairs. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the library at all and it's unfortunate it's like that. But, it's not safe to let your kids loose alone in here. The staff is all super friendly and there's massive selections of stuff to check out, but it's hard to feel comfortable alone looking at a section with that many tweakers wandering and shooting up in the bathrooms and lurking by the outdoor elevators. It's sad :/
On a cold rainy day, it's the spot to hang out and get warm while checking out the vast selection of literature and DVDs .
Huge selection of books, free parking, free wifi, additional free services (ask staff), coffee shop, clean location and lots of space to relax.
This is my favorite public library. Mostly because it is not sno isle library lol. They have so many items readily available so wait times are a non issue. More DVDs and full TV series than you could imagine and really new items added every month.
Kids area has an actual playroom with lots of toys and puzzles as well as weekly and monthly toddler to teen events.
YOU DONT HAVE TO LIVE IN EVERETT to be a member. Anyone in snohomish county can become a member.
Beware their fees for late or damage are a little more than you may expect, but that is what helps pay to make this a place worth learning and loving!
Best quiet library for me. All the books l think of is here.
Don't go here if you need to use the computers or printers. Snohomish county libraries give you free printing up to like 100 pages or so. This place gives you 50 cents a day which is only 5 pages. Other than that, the book selection is great. Another thing I don't like compared to the Snohomish county libraries is the late fees. Snohomish doesn't have any late fees, but Everett does a fee per day they are late.
Dont sweat the street people out front unless you're a complete nancy!

This library is big, mostly quiet, and very comfortable. There are thousands of items you can check out, and the desk people there are really nice. You can have 90 minutes on the computers each day, and there are often events going on, such as author signings, children entertainment, concerts, and many others. This is a great way to spend a quiet day reading, writing or doing business.
Beautiful building with lots to see and do. Has a fantastic coffee shop with snacks. Lots of parking all for the cost of NOTNING ! You can even get your Library card for free
Great library with fun events that can get crowded sometimes. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Kids' area is spacious with toys to play with. Once in a while there's sketchy people by the elevators and entrances. Security has gotten a lot better.
The public library has everything you need for students, business workers, or people in need of supplies or machines. It's a great public service!
Watch out for the homeless people out front. This seams to be their hangout.
I love having a public library nearby. In addition to being able to borrow books and movies, there's also a coffee shop inside.
