My family had a great time staff was very polite .The lady with the turtle was very kind to my daughter letting have closer look but no touching and 6 feet rule. The wild life was active but those wolfs where hiding some where in the shade lol it was warm that day .There's more than enough social distancing, more than 30 feet between groups even the tourists keeping there distancing and felt safe enough to go again. Sometime soon .!!!!

When for the first time in about 20 years with my 6 year old daughter and my wife. It wasn't a hot day so it wasn't too busy which also made it pretty easy to see most of the animals. Took us about 2 hours to see it all plus a few minutes to stop for a snow cone. Social distancing was being encouraged and there was hand sanitizer available through most of the park. Most specialized viewing areas had a limit on the number of people at one time and most people were being respectful but there are always a few... Good way to spend a Saturday morning.

I do not recommend under any circumstances, declared as a sanctuary for rescue and recovery of animals, or care for animals that can not return to nature.
You expect to be a center that respects animal welfare, there is no one in the park to explain how it works, the animals seem all stressed, the bears walk in circles in a tiny cage, there is plenty of space in the park, all space is prioritized for the human public to move between cages. The center claims to recover local animals from Canada but has cloistered llamas, as far as I know they are not endemic to the region. At the entrance you see the heads of animals exposed as a hunting trophy. Some cages have windows for people to feel safe and see an animal in poor condition, in those glasses there were birds killed on the ground because they were shocked in it. I really do not know what else to say about this place that made me disapprove, my family felt embarrassed to have contributed to the ticket to this place. Just another zoo.

Visited this zoo with my wife in a hot summer day and we loved it.it s a one hour and half walk for the whole park and u could choose to take a train for a tour. Saw two cute grizzly bears swimming in the pool which is lovely. Highly recommend for a family tour. It s a most visit place in Kamloops.

Drove 2+ hrs to see the birds of prey showing at 11am and they cancelled it at 10:55am. They blamed it on being short staffed. My nephew had been excited all weekend to see it and was super sad when it didn't happen.

Pro's-Very clean park, beautiful exploration center and spacious birds of prey exhibit. Staff friendly and helpful.
Con's-Some of the animal exhibits felt small for the animal. Not as many animals as I expected.

I love animals and the BC wildlife park helps give injured animals a chance to live a better, longer life. It's a great place to go if you want to get better educated on certain animals as well. Staff is great! Fun environment :)

The BC Wildlife Park is a hugely popular park, housing wildlife, indigenous to BC. The star attraction is the kermode "spirit bear", Clover, who attracts thousands of visitors yearly, from around the world. It's the perfect mix of wildlife conservation, education and family friendly entertainment. The park also hosts holiday themed events for Easter, Mother's and Father's Day, Thanksgiving, Halloween and the brilliantly colourful Wildlights ever Christmas season. It's a true gem in Kamloops, BC

Been there a few times it's okay . Not as quality of the facility but I'm sure it's hard for small little kamloops to compete against places like Calgary and Vancouver. was disappointed to find on Christmas Eve when we showed up late that there was no train no hot chocolate etc. would have expected the front staff to give us a heads up as that's part of the experience when we go there around Christmas time.

Kermode Bear put on a great show for us at feeding time. Grizzly bear enclosure large with ponds to cool off the animals. Laughed at the antics of a black bear in its pool. Excellent layout. Great educational tool for kids and adults alike.

Slower times due to Covid-19. We were not required to wear a mask. Concession was very basic the reason for only 4 out 5. Animals were great saw almost every thing but the wolves, black bear and cougar. Grizzly was out in the open as well as the other Kermode bear. The most fascinating of it all was probably the predator birds. All of them injured an unable to fly the park took them in. They are very vocal and really show you true size of these animals up close! My 2 year old loved the splash park.

The BC Wildlife Park is a great place to go for a fun-filled day of animal encounters, physical activity and education. The knowledgeable staff are keen to answer questions about the wildlife and there are multiple activities to partake in throughout the park.

During the winter months they host an annual Wildlights show with hundreds of thousands of Christmas lights in the park. It's absolutely breathtaking.

The wonderful people at the park do an amazing job caring for and rehabilitating the animals. Always a pleasure to visit.

This park is amazing!! They only have animals from B.C which were completely awesome! Walking around was a bit of a hike because it was super hot when I went but I enjoyed the atmosphere and the staff were super friendly when asking them any questions!

This is my favourite wildlife park that I've been to so far. Always filled with animals who actually look happy to be there and not in stress. Prices are reasonable and inside they have very good food.

We got lucky coming here, the grizzlies had only just arised from their annual slumber. The bears we're super playful and spent most of the time putting on a show of brotherly love for us. There is no shortage on things to see or do at the park with with such a wide variety of wildlife. Id highly recommend the park to anyone traveling through/from Kamloops who has any love for seeing rescued animals in a nice caring environment.

They even put on live animal displays! Not very often you'd get to see and touch a tame snake in BC!

Been here for both the Christmas wild lights and in the summer, always enjoy learning something new every time I go. They have a petting area too. Pretty neat being able to get up close to alot of animals you would never usually get to see! They also have a mini train that takes you around the park for a small fee. There is also a large gift shop!

There are not many animals, but they are all animals that are difficult to see in general zoos, such as brown bears, black bears, polar bears, elk, arctic wolves, raccoons, reptiles, etc., small scale, good children and long-term knowledge of children, 2- You can finish shopping in 2.5 hours.

The park is always a place of serenity and we got to see Clover. Clover is the Kermode/Spirit Bear. The paths are marked for social distancing and it is a great attraction. Everything was vibrant and beautiful. Bring big spray and sunscreen as it is hot and buggy. The good news is the water park is on to cool you down.

First of all, the price was an exorbitant $16.95 each, which I wouldnt pay more than $12.00 for. The grounds were very dry and bland with little shade for the animals as well as visitors along the self guided tour. In addition, some of the cages were double wired so as to completely obstruct ones view of the animal. The larger enclosures had overgrown grass and/or obstructed views of the animals altogether. We did a ton of walking, and saw almost nothing. Not very open or a feeling of being interactive, like other zoos. And no monkeys!

Had a great time, even without great weather. This place is easy to find, and well worth the $15 admission. Staff were very friendly and informative and the place was very clean and well-kept. Good views of the animals that weren't hiding...only downside for us, was that the moose wasn't on display this time around. Guess we will just have to visit again!

Awesome wildlife park. Spent an hour or two walking around looking at he animals. Was a super cool day spend there. Great place to bring children or even just go for a date. Quite a large area to walk around and some amazing animals to look at. Would highly recommend going early morning.

Well worth the visit!

Well worth the visit!

The legendary Pokemon "spirit bear" can be spotted near the end of the park.

Bunch of birds that can be viewed up close.

I like how the place is for wildlife rehabilitation.

Perfect for all ages.

I would recommend sunscreen.

I loved walking through this place. We came on a Friday when it was fairly empty which was great for the two hours we spent here. It was a bummer that we didnt see the Kermode bear, but hopefully another time! It was awesome learning about all the ways that the BC Wildlife Park is helping to sustain and rehabilitate the wildlife populations of BC. I feel great supporting an organization like this. As an aside, the porcupine feeding we watched was too cool and very educational.

Every year they put on a Christmas lights display and it's an awesome family event for all ages. You can ride the mini train, walk about viewing the lights, get a hot chocolate and hot dog and sit by a campfire or have a few laughs with Chris the Clown. Don't forget to stop by the gift shop for all kinds of treasures. This is an excellent alternative to your typical company Christmas party.
