If I could leave zero or negative stars I would. First room we saw clearly hadn t been cleaned. There was food all over the carpet, long black hairs all over the floor, in the bathrooms, and in the fridge. Surfaces clearly hadn t been wiped. The title floor was sticky and full of dirt and food. Broken glass on the bathroom floor. We were moved to a new room and assured it had been cleaned more thoroughly. Used Q-tip on the bathroom floor, more black hair everywhere, dirty bedding, used dryer sheet just hanging out in the middle of the floor. We left this hotel so fast when a large cockroach started climbing up the wall. Avoid at all costs. During a pandemic I expect extra cleaning measures. Cockroaches, used Q-tips, broken glass- too many safety concerns to count.

I cannot urge anyone strongly enough against this property. The website misled us about what our accommodations included; only three of their four elevators worked....until the night two more got stuck, the fire department was called, and then only one elevator in a 18-floor property worked; we saw the maids only if we went looking for them; every vent in our room dripped condensed water onto the floor, beds, sink, whatever the vent was over. Got up one morning and my shoes were soaked from sitting underneath one of these vents....there is water dripping down my ipad screen as I type this! You have to swipe your keycard sometimes ten-fifteen times to get it to work to get in your room, the parking garage, etc. Literally, it s location is the only good thing about this place, and there are so many others in a better spot. So many many many other properties that offer oceanfront accommodations that do not include these deficiencies for a crazy high price, for what you get (and don t get!). I m giving one star because at least the roof didn t leak.....

Please be prepared to wait at least an hour or more to check in

The room is very clean, spacious & very nice! No bugs at all!!!! There are 2 cute balconies with nice views of the street & the beach! The kitchen is a nice size & appliances are all updated! Overall very satisfied with the room!!! Will stay again & recommend to friends and family!

Everything is great Great view and very nice looking room but one thing is that theres water leaking from the ceiling where i was on the bed eh.

Have a complaint now but they won't return my calls. Daughter woke up with bug bites. Notified supervisor she informed me they weren't bed bug bites but CVS minute clinic informed me they were severe bug bites. They may not have been bed bugs but were definitely some type of insects in the mattress

Place has run down last few years. Won't be going back

Our stay at bayview resort was terrible. The room stunk, our TV did not work nor have a remote to go along with it, our bathroom light quit working during our stay, the elevators were under construction due to not working properly,Also, they took a $40 damage fee and didn't return it to us once we left the room in better shape than it was when we arrived there. Very disappointed and will not be back! I do not recommend a stay here at this hotel resort to anyone!!

Room was far from clean. Toilet clogged (how could it have been cleaned? ) broken glass on balcony, chewed gum on living room floor. Room was cleaner when we left than upon arrival. Room did have a nice view and pool, water play areas were enjoyed by grandkids. Staff was friendly. Will NOT choose this place again due to lack of cleanliness, especially for the cost of our stay.

Room was small, but very hold price for oceanfront.

Save your time and go to a different hotel unless you want to wait 45 minutes for a elevator. 3 elevators for a 19 floor hotel does not make any sense. Will not come back here.

Alot of things was wrong in the room and they took their own time about getting it fixed I wasnt satisfied with the service!

The view was nice and service was no problem and you can walk to everything that you want too

This was our second stay here. Over all the actual stay was pretty good. House keeping was great, shout out to Michelle ! Prime location, Beautiful well kept grounds, clean pools, clean and stocked room, everything was as should be. The room furnishings were a little outdated but not bad. I have read many reviews and was prepared for all of the bad, since our last stay 4 years ago. But was over all satisfied. Leading up to the stay was torture for us because Brittain resorts would not refund our money for our stay as Hurricane Dorian had the county evacuated until Friday and our check in was Sunday. I know, first world problems. Anyway, everything worked out well in that regard as Myrtle Beach weathered the storm well. So, the 3 reasons our stay was not 5 star. At check in at 3pm our room was not ready for an hour. It was absolute hell to sit in our packed car, in the packed entrance, with 2 very tired and eager children after a 2 day haul. The luggage carts were basically get in where you fit in. We had a long wait for a luggage cart after an hour wait for our room to be ready. My husband basically waited by the elevators until 1 came down and swooped it up. And we had 2 families that had to use 1 cart between us and had to make multiple trips while some watched belongings, some watched kids, and some parked cars, and some lugged luggage. Completely hectic. During check out, things got hairy as an older man stood close by to us, not saying a word to us while we unloaded the cart. Another man came up as we were finishing and said can I have your cart, my husband said yes of course. The older man had a fit. He came up grabbed the cart from the other man saying how it was his cart and he'd been standing there waiting for it ect. The other man was extremely mad, and decided it was us to blame and gave us angry looks and comments. I said hey we had no idea what this guy was doing, he never said a word to us. He didn't ask. It would really be a huge help if the staff helped organize who gets the luggage carts, and when. It's really not a good situation for guests to be in. It's basically plain out chaos. And last but not least, the back entrance to the hotel is threw the pool doors. At a certain time they are all closed and locked up with no way in other than to walk in the dark, late at night all the way around two resorts. My family really enjoys hunting in the low tides and joined dozens of others on the beaches at night hunting the low tides. It would be so nice if those back doors had key card entry for the late night beach comers and even those people walking the board walk from bars ect. To come in as they please. I'm beyond greatfull that those doors are locked up safe, but a simple room key access would be ideal. And now my husband has added a 4 issue ! He had to remove our top cargo carrier from our vehicle because of the garage clearance ! Should be a warning on the web site or something.

I made reservations online, I called and spoke to someone telling them exactly what room I need, balcony overlooking boardwalk. Upon arrival I stood before the desk while two employees stood talking , after ten min. I finally said can I check in. Then they seemed to be able to help me. I gave my name and the lady handed me a small folder with room key on top floor. . I told her that I had requested 4-7 when I made and paid for room and was told I could have a room on between 4-7floor not on the 19th floor. After a good twenty min of arguing about it Iwas finally given a room on the 9th floor. I proceeded to go park. The key given didn't work. I had cars behind me blocking me from moving, it was aggravating and embarrassing thankfully someone walked up and opened gate. I parked and went to the room. There was hair all over the bathroom floor and in the tub. When I went back down to speak to someone about the room. They told me there was no manager available and nothing they could do. I went out and when I came back my room was muggy. I called front desk to ask for a fan and was told they had all been stolen and the mugginess would dissipate within the hour, as if I was a idiot and would believe that nonsense.. stayed two nights. No housekeeping came. No clean towels. So horrible customer service. Dirty bathrooms. For what I paid to stay here, I at least expect housekeeping to clean the pubic hairs out of the bathroom before the room is rented out again.

Dirty and elevators were so busy we had to plan on extra time for them .

Great location and beautiful view. Staff were helpful and friendly. Pool and lazy river was good. I would stay again. The room we were in needed a bit of updating but was clean.

Enjoyed a one bedroom suite here with a nice ocean view. Appreciated the fact that the suite had a full kitchen and there was even a washer/dryer inside the suite. Everything was clean and there was plenty of room. The living room has a sleeper sofa and an additional tv. The DVD players and free movie rentals were a plus. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. Bed are super comfy and so are the pillows. Water was just the right temperature. The only con I can think of is that the parking area is located across the street but it s not a terrible thing. The rate was great!

been coming to this same hotel since 2013, loved the staff, all of the offered amenities were great, hotel was well kept & clean. however 2018 & 2019 was a big change in the hotel. i no longer enjoy the stay, between the rude employees & the lengthy wait time for the elevators in the place. Manager was shockingly rude & very unhelpful. 3/29/19-3/31/19 will be my last stay with bay view resort. will not recommend!!

I went there for Black Bike Week and everyone was nice.

Location is beautiful had a wonderful view of the ocean. Everything was clean. The AC could have been colder but I figure that is just an issue of traveling from Michigan to South Carolina.

Very convenient location just on the beach. The room exceeded our expectations with a full kitchen including a washer/dryer. We enjoyed looking down on the cheaper hotels from our balcony. Our one complaint is that we could hear the asshats driving by at all hours of the night.

I was a guest at Bayview Resort for 3 days. I was with 2 groups, one group received a very clean nice room however the other group's room was very dirty. My room was nice, The location is great and right next to the board walk.

We had room 808-A and stayed three nights (10/20-10/23) and everything was great. Nice staff. Loved the full kitchen in our oceanfront condo. The only reason I gave it four stars was the parking garage's location which is like two blocks over.

So far not good!!!we bought our room a week ago and now their telling us our rooms not ready and they their booked,and it's well after 3pm!!!geuss we sit in the car for hours until they'll ready for us.

Not a good experience . We didnt have water the first few hours there due to a broken pipe. We couldnt use the coffee maker because it was cracked. The furniture was dusty because it wasn't cleaned or dusted in quite a while. There was old food on the carpet because it obviously had not been vacuumed in a while. We asked for extra towels and never got them. The rooms are not keeped cleaned as they should be. The hotel is old but i still paid almost $700 due to the location, but it is not worth it. More care should be taken by cleaning, maintenance staff.

Love this place. Has indoor pool, exercise room, giant chess and checker board, extremely nice rooms

Our room was very clean and up to date as pictured on the website, even had a washer and dryer along with a nice sized balcony to sit out and have a smoke.Wifi speeds were good and consistent..In comparison to other places we have stayed in MB the rates and location for this place is hard to beat and we will defintely return.

Dont stay here customer service is TERRIBLE management is even worse try to make you pay extra for there mistake i paid for a oceanfront suite and they try to make me stay in a sunset suite and they would not fix the problem. DONT STAY HERE!!!!!

Definitely 1 star. Very unsafe. People fighting yelling ,drinking,smoking.!!!!!Hotel was nasty. Smelled of smoke everywhere. The kitchen was a joke. Had to call for towels. They said because of covid they weren t cleaning rooms. Nasty. When we arrived the front desk attendant was outside smoking. All around nasty busted hotel that isn t worth the money staying. An oh yeah thanks for charging me 60 dollars extra for the resort fee for nothing. This is no resort. It s like a nasty dogs house. Everything was filthy. Never go back.

You get exactly what you pay for at Bayview! It's a wonderful place to stay, staff is polite, and helpful, we had no trouble at all with housekeeping, all amentites and elevators working. Yes it's a busy hotel..duh? Best location for a hotel in the area. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would have to guess most of the people complaining wanted a free vacation, and didn't get it, so here they are. I honestly wish I could review the guests more so than the hotel.. STOP BEING RUDE TO STAFF AND EXPECTING A SMILE! On multiple occasions I witenessed guests being literally terrible to staff, due to their own booking mistakes, while staff went above and beyond to accomodate, and it makes me sick to my stomach. I feel terrible for the employees, because the people they deal with on a daily are absolutely horrendous..so maybe be a little more understanding? Stuff happens. Overall we had a wonderful experience and will continue to vacation here! Thanks again!

The hotel was nice everything and the workers here were very nice to also but the hallways smell really really back so every time you step outside your Room you have the smell in the hallway

Stayed here for a night, thank god it was just one night. Once we are going to our room, we noticed a dead roach in the hallway. keep in mind we were on the 12 floor and there were no open windows in the hallway where it could have flown in from. I would have understood more if i saw it in the hallway on the first or second floor since roaches are common in SC, but we were on the TWELFTH FLOOR. The room itself was very small and cramped in, and wasn't that clean considering that there were stains on the bedsheets and towels. I had requested to have the hallway sprayed and the dead roach swept up, extra pillows, and someone to come up and fix the bedpost that was sticking out which my mother almost cut her leg on. it took asking them 4 different times during a 5 hour span for them to actually do this for us. Only giving this place 2 stars for the friendly staff, the starbucks next door, and the ocean view. I won't be coming back to this hotel though.

The rooms are very spacious and I really like the location of the hotel.

Hotel was clean and the staff was great. The elevators were a little s l o w. We prefer a hotel with a restaurant/bar/grill of some type. The Starbucks was always crowded. There are multiple restaurants with in walking distance. Our daughter enjoyed the indoor pool and lazy river. Overall a great trip!

My family and I stayed at the resort on last weekend. Upon arriving, we couldn t check in. The front desk kept telling me oh housekeeping is cleaning your room . This went on for over an hour. Everytime I would go in to check to see if they were done, I would get ignored. They were really rude and using profanity amongst each other. Terrible customer service. I have been calling them all week about returning my deposit and they answer the phone with an attitude and leave me on hold for over 30 minutes. I have stayed at the Bayview twice a year for the last 3 years and this was my last visit. I would not recommend this place.

One star for now, there was an infestation of roaches! I mean tons of little ones and small ones! I m disgusted! They said they will switch our rooms and discount us for the inconvenience but it has not happened yet. When it does, I will change the star rating.

While looking for a hotel online, I had to base my decision to book this hotel on reviews. I was worried I may book a reach motel or something lol. But to my surprise, this hotel was really nice. The 2 bed condo room was spacious and clean. It came equipped with everything u would need to have a wonderful stay. The stove fridge dishes kitchen bathroom was absolutely well cleaned. I was skeptical about sleeping on the bed before we got there, so I brought some raid bed bug spray. When we arrived I threw back the sheets checked under the mattress and box springs lookin for signs of bed bugs. I seen absolutely NONE. I was comfortable and didn't even need the bed bug spray. The swimming area was really nice. And u are like 2 minutes away from the beach. It's literally right there in the back yard. The boardwalk is close. There is so much within walking distance. I didn't drive so idk about the parking. They even had free dvd rentals. I would most definitely stay there again. My only complaint is that one of the hotel doors inside the hallway kept closing really hard. And would make a loud bang every time the people stayin there would open close it. Which woke me up. But I talked to the staff and it was fixed. Be prepared for a slow elevator tho. Because the building is 19 stories. With only four elevators. Overall, it was nice, comfortable, clean, spacious, within walking distance of everything. I loved my vacation. If u are skeptical about this hotel I assure u, u should be fine.

We just stayed at Bayview this past week June 8-12th. It was convenient if you like to walk to places like Family Kingdom and the boardwalk is right out front and not far from the SkyWheel, Gay Dolphin and many oceanfront bar and grills. They have 19 floors and the elevators took FOREVER...which they only have 3 of. The parking garage is one street over to get to. All the pools are inside...none outdoors except spray area for kids. They only have one hot tub, one pool that is fairly sized and the smallest lazy river I have ever seen out of any places in Myrtle Beach we have been to. Also, we were told they had a poolside bar and grill....not, got lied to. However, they do have a Starbuck's. For the extra buck or two....go to North Myrtle and Baywatch Resort is my recommendation.

We love staying at Bay View! Been staying there for the past 4 years. Love the fact that the parking garage is big enough to accommodate and is gated!

If this is your first time visiting Myrtle Beach and you're coming from out of town, you'll be utterly unimpressed and downright disappointed with the location of this resort. For starters, it's right in the middle of the ghettos of Myrtle Beach S.C. Now I've lived in all sorts of neighborhoods including a ghetto... Not a place where I want to spend thousands of dollars; bring my 5 yr old daughter, wife and elderly Grandmother to ever again!

Also to know about this ghetto situated hotel, there were shootings nearly every night of the 6 days we were there!!! I can't make this stuff up!!! The news crew was there almost every frigging night!!

Those are only a few cons about Bay View Resort.... the pros? The front desk staff were very helpful and professional. We wanted for nothing and whatever we did want was immediately ameliorated; The room service was exceptional and very friendly! (Great Job Sidona!! ) And nothing beats spending time with your loved ones that are all meeting from afar... and if you're lucky as I was, you'll make some new acquaintances while you're there!

P.S.

If you happen to come across a one "Shainna" (I forget her last name... Brown perhaps) she's the "concierge" at Bay View Resort... but she actually works for Wyndham Resorts and she'll tell approximately 100 LIES to get you to go to a presentation that's supposed to last "120 mins, tops!" We were there for 7 and a half hours!!!! An entire day was stolen from my vacation and my loved ones and I can Never get that back!

These are all true statements I've made here... you make your own decision!

Just checked in and already disappointed.. You cannot adjust the AC below 70 and with the humidity,68 sounds better. Also parking is on the other side of the street and the lazy river is so small, I wouldn't call it a lazy river. The good is it is closer to the boardwalk!

Check in was ridiculous! They finally let us in the room at 6pm due to housekeeping not having the rooms clean... We get in the room and its not even that clean... No outside pool... 1 star quality for sure

Staff friendly. Lobby was wet from the pool area. The elevators constantly was wet with water have a musty smell. The rooms were musty smell. Being nice close to the beach was good. Would not stay here again

My husband and I stayed at Bay View for the first time in February 2016. We vacation in Myrtle Beach each year, and decided to leave our "regular spot" to try someplace new. We decided on Bay View based on online reviews and positive experiences from friends. We were very satisfied with our decision. It is safe to say we have found out new regular spot. The rooms were very clean and the staff were extremely helpful. There was road construction going on during our stay by the city and Bay View went above and beyond in navigating through the inconvenience. We were very satisfied with all aspects of our stay.

Went down Easter weekend so the prices were inflated. I feel I could have gotten a nicer hotel for a lesser/same price but was looking for something on the boardwalk. Had got two rooms but they were unable to put us both on the same floor according to our reservations. The 2 bedroom condo on the 3rd floor was nice and beautiful view but the other room 1003b wasn t the greatest. View was horrible, balcony was filthy, there was a funky smell every so often not sure if there was a dumpster in the alley or what, shower was clean but floor seemed greasy/sticky, elevators took forever and were full quite frequently. Area was so-so didn t feel comfortable walking to the parking garage for my car as it got late. When checking out received someone else s receipt so overall my experience the greatest.

Great so far just be careful, valet parking $12 a day when you can park for free yourself

I had a good stay. We had a 2 bed room ocean front Condo. Kitchen had clean cook ware and plates etc. Our room was clean, the sofa bed was stained pretty bad though we sprayed it down with Lysol as we did the whole room. A few doors did not lock and something was going on with our fridge that is was leaking water sometimes. We also had a off/on small water leak from the vent in the dining area. I had to tighten the bolts on the dining table or it felt like it was gonna fall apart. The elevators/and check out process was horrible it will be best to pack/load up at night before check out because everyone checks out at the same time! The elevators also got stuck one night a family was stuck on there for a while the fire dept ended up coming to help with this! The pool area/lazy river is small and was always packed with kids (even the hot tub was full of kids playing)which is expected. Room service was good at bringing towels etc. The best thing is that you are near everything "literally" so you have lots to do without having to drive. We made the best out of it despite the few cons.

The stay was horrible and I was spoken to very disrespectful not to mention other things I went through on the stay. The only good thing was the manager that was there the day I left. She was very courteous and listened to the issues that we had on our stay.

Get a room with a view of the beach: it's totally worth it. The room we got is huge and the room comes with silverware and dishes, a FULL kitchen, and even a washer-dryer. If you plan on being here for an extended time it's a very good selection.

The pool was gross though; smells bad, it's heavily chlorinated but still smelt like dirt. The parking is a bit inconvenient unless you pay $12/day for a valet. It's also on one of the busier streets so getting in or out is inconvenient.
