This is my 3rd visit here. I like the amenities
The kitchen is very nice. They need to make sure the bedspreads are clean underneath had urine stains. No one wants to sleep under a urine stained bedspread.

Nice clean rooms... great value.. comfortable beds...

trying to find a place for my family, including fur babies to stay. i google pet friendly hotels and this place popped up. when i find a room i like, i tried to chat with someone and i get told they don't allow pets. please take yourselves off pet friendly sites then. wasted my time.

Love the view and the room! Had problems with housekeeping but staff was helpful and quickly fixed the issues.

The check in time was 3PM so we were there at 2:50. The room was not ready so they asked us to come in 30 mins. We went there at 3:30PM again, they told us that room is not ready and they even could not tell us estimated time either. The reason was front desk could not contact room service. Anyway, we waited until 4:30PM, we had big plans for the day and they ruined our vacation. So I talked to the manager, he was one of the front desk person. He told us, the hotel was full previous day so room service staff could not clean all the rooms on time. So the manager asked whether we can wait. I asked how long, he was not sure. After talking to the manager, he agreed to give us a different room. The room we paid for is a Ocean view room. According to the staff, ocean view does not mean Ocean front. But you can see the ocean very liitle, if you go to tiny balcony. The room we were give was, construction view and we could not sleep as very loud noise from 7Am to 8PM.

So I do not recommend this hotel. Do not mislead by the pictures on there website. Rooms are very tiny, you do not have a desk or a chair. You will get two chairs in the balcony, but balcony size is same as two chairs. The staff was not helpful at all. They even did not apologize for their mistake.

Decent beds, spacious suite, awesome view of barge working off the coast. Close to 2nd Ave pier, old school cruising area, and sits along the new boardwalk beach trail. Would have liked to have nicer bedding and an on site restaurant. Great for the kid as the pool area was turnt up! Was spring break and prom weekend and the hotel was still under control... although the elevator situation could get a little hectic. All in all a nice stay on the Redneck Riviera

It was a great location. And a good price. The hallway smelled and the front desk not so nice

We wwre1 happy to finally get to the Hotel only have.the worst veiws you could've asked for . No ocean veiw at all , just a brick wall to look at. Management's way of handling it ,
"We 're full now , there are no more rooms". So we had to stay . WRONG WAY TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS. It wasn't what we paid for at . Yes we're not happy at all. Bad business.%+ף \%%

Beautiful, nice place, with well decorated boardwalk and a nice beach. Lots of hotels, restaurants and playgrounds. For me this place is too crowded.

Clean, affordable, and convenient! Would recommend to anyone based on MY stay. Rooms were clean, staff was friendly, and location was great!

This is a good place to stay as fars as location wise, and cleanliness.

There's no outdoor pool. Only a splash pad outside. Inside pools were way to hot.

My husband booked this room for my birthday. KUDOS to him for all his hard work. But shame on Bay View Resorts. The hotel is strategically placed on the Beach, but their parking is not so strategically placed across the street on the next block. Their is no walk way, so I had to walk in mud (because it rained) in my new shoes to get to the parking deck. We felt very unsafe traveling from our car to the hotel because their were a lot of just random people standing in dark areas. My room had TWO baby roaches. YUCK! This hotel advertises all their special add-on's such as free aquarium tickets, DVD rentals, Starbucks, Grand Prix race car tickets. Amazing right! Well when I get to the Front Desk they tell me the Aquarium Tickets are only for the spring and their current promotion is the Grand Prix Race Track. I was disappointed by accepting. GUESS WHAT! My husband and I arrive at the Grand Prix Race Track and THE GATES WERE LOCKED, and the establishment was closed. I call the front desk and after multiple transfers and call holds a Front Desk Attendant named Brittany answers the phone. I explain to her the problem asking for a room discount or some compensation for their False advertising! She has the audacity to say the promotions are FREE and offered through a third party Vendor which does not affect our price. She often rudely interrupted my conversation with a non-caring attitude. I explained to her that despite the promotions not affecting out price it is apparent customers choose Bay View Resorts for the promotions. DUH!!!!!! So, we expect to receive them. Then she told me she personally loved a place called Lagoon (something) because they had indoor race cars. She repeatedly said, it is one on of my favorite placed because of the indoor race track. So, my husband and I drive their and guess what ..wait for it...THEIR ARE NO RACE CARS - Just putt putt Golf. I was so livid. It is as if they pride themselves in deceitful. I can't believe a professional lied to me for no reason. I am disappointed with Bay View Resorts and discourage anyone from booking a room! I c was not going to even do a review until the Front Desk deliberately lied to me, but that was the final straw. I do not like giving my money to people with bad character!

Clean rooms. Great location. Pools could use renovation. No outdoor pool. But great if you spend all day on the beach. Balconies could use deep cleaning, but probably due to seagulls.

Always great service at the Starbucks but their inventory isn't always up to par.

Not a family friendly location - hotel and surrounding area is a young teenage/college crowd. Pool water was disgusting and the smell of smoke - all kinds - filled all the hallways. There were gun shots on the beach our first night there and we watched the ambulance pull right up onto the beach We had an end unit and there was construction next door so that s all we heard. Ocean view was amazing, but not a place we would ever stay again - just not a family resort of any kind.

Huge room. Great staff. Easy access. Food and entertainment everywhere. Number one spot at Myrtle Beach to me.

My husband and I had this nice beach trip for our 4 year old s birthday, but things didn t quite go as planned! We drove 4 hours with my mother, our daughter, and our 6 month old son. We checked in at 4pm and checked out at 10:30pm the same day. After we finally got checked in (they re busy so it took about an hour - understandable), we went to get groceries to cook breakfast the next morning, etc. We came back to the room around 6pm and noticed that the refrigerator was leaking and my husband noticed mold on top of the refrigerator (he s 6 5 ). I immediately called the front desk and they said they d send maintenance right up. Maintenance showed up at 930pm. Lanela inspected the fridge, the A/C vent, and the dishwasher and could not find a leak, but she was very sweet and helpful and told us to call if it didn t stop leaking. She said that housekeeping would have to clean the mold up, so I called the front desk again while she was still there. After she left, I went to take a shower. I noticed MORE MOLD on the ceiling in the shower! The ceiling was bulging near the light in the shower and was DRIPPING! I hopped out of the shower and called the front desk YET AGAIN! The manager that I spoke to (didn t get his name) did not at all sound sincere in his apology and immediately asked if I would like to check out. He informed me that they didn t have anymore rooms when I asked. I told him I guess I didn t have a choice because I can t have my 4 year old and my 6 month old baby in a nasty, moldy room. After talking to a few people, we found out that they knew about a busted pipe 2 floors up that was leaking down and they STILL rented the room out. So my husband and I walked to the front desk to check out & while giving me my full refund, the manager had the nerve to inform me that their policy is that they couldn t give refunds out if you check out after 10, but given the circumstances , he was able to make that happen . Oh thank you, kind sir, thank you! While we were packing our things up, a housekeeper knocked on our door & asked how long we would be. So whoever is about to be placed in ROOM 706, beware! I honestly forgot to pictures of the shower because I was so angry, but I did get pictures of the refrigerator.

Bay View is a lovely hotel. I enjoyed my stay. However their elevator wait times are awful during check-in, during stay, and check-out. On the morning of check-out we waited a hour or more to get a elevator. Being on the 18th floor with lots of luggage the stairs were not an option.

its a very nice place, for the small room and the deposit i didnt know about you need to put that on your website.......... the price was to high for that small room

Been spending the winter here for the last few years. Well staffed and run with a positive atmosphere given the hard times the area has been through. Glad to come back if better times prices don't squeeze us out.

They demand you pay a resort fee...some resort...it's a joke

We had so much fun ..Thank you Eric & Wanda for helping to make our family vacation even more fun. The suites are nice ..Nice view & I love the counter tops in the kitchen . I was cooking up some stuff which is also a thing I love to do. Its always a pleasure when staff want to ensure a pleasant experience. Best sleep in the comfy beds ...Breakfast on the balcony ..everythg was jus as perfect as can be

Construction woke me up at 5 AM and they wouldn't let me snag a different room.

I didn't to much care for this resort. The water pressure was horrible and the water barely got hot. The living room furniture was run down. We had to put blankets on the sofa to even consider sitting. Our toilet got stopped up and it took about an hour and two phone calls for maintenance to come assist with the toilet. The chlorine in the hot tub was so strong we could not enjoy the Jacuzzi. I will not stay here again.

this is my second time for vacations in myrttle beach SC but my 1st time in BAY VIEW RESORT..... I was very pleassed with everything is just like stying at home :) thx

Love that they have DVD players and free DVD rentals the staff is always so nice and helpful the resort is always clean the rooms are very spacious we always get a 2 bedroom condo when we come the kitchen is big and comes with basically everything you would need to cook

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The entire experience was GREAT! Service was great, our view was breathtaking, the breakfast was good and the water park kept my son VERY occupied. I even got on the slide a few times myself!

All was great here just NO air in elevators. We stay here every year for labor day.Its inexpensive I think.We had a 1 bedroom an d it was 700 for 5 days

The location of this hotel is awesome. The rooms are beautiful, spacious and organized. However, the elevator is extremely slow and the pool area is lacking. Some parents do not watch their children and this destroys the experience for others.

Love the views and easy access to the beach! The staff in the lobby are super friendly and helpful! I have been going here for four years straight for our vacations and love the spaciousness of the rooms!!

Our hotel room was dirty, like really dirty. Also, we paid for an 'ocean view 'room and let me tell you.. We couldn't see the ocean unless we went out on the corner balcony, looked over to the far right and around the building. Then we glimpsed the ocean . Toaster didn't work, long black hairs in four different places in bathroom. Would never return. Too bad. Pictures on line really mis represented the true hotel condition and experience.

Staff was really great! That's about it though:( Slamming doors all night and early morning, Weed smoke all the time, no restaurant or breakfast in the hotel and the elevator situation is a joke. We used the stairs 95% of the time. Never will I return to this place.

I would give 0 stars if I could.We have been here several times thru the years this year was these worse trip ever. Part of the elevators were always broke down. The heat in the elevators and hallways was so hot it was miserable. The pool area was always super crowded. We stood at the elevator with our luggage rack from 9:30 to 11:45 waiting to get on 1 of the 2 working elevators until we finally gave up and took stuff down piece by piece from the 14th floor. Bayview doesn't care because they know people will keep coming and keep giving them their money. They won't be getting anymore from me. It is not a nice, clean place like it used to be and part of their parking garage is now saved spaces for valet parking for bay shores customers .

Satisfied overall considering the good pricing. Hotel staff was friendly, and there are free movie rentals in the lobby too. Parking is in a separate garage one block away so remember to bring your room card to get in. Besides that the elevators get pretty busy at times since there's only four.

August 2018. STAY AWAY! For a resort they do not have the first clue about hospitality. How this place is acredites as a three star hotel is beyond explanation.

The only people that are friendly are the housemaids, everyone else is rude.

Sheets on bed had stains, had to ask for a new set.

When we checked in our room s balcony was covered in bird poop. Obvious that balcony is never cleaned. Carpet in room was damp, thermostat was set to 70 degrees, but felt closer to 80. Had to complain three times before someone finally fixed it. Guy that fixed it mentioned I had called three times, well if it were fixed after first time there would only have been one call. First maintenance guy indicated all rooms are set to 70. Room next to ours was set to 67 degrees. 2nd guy came by stepped in room and left. The hallway leading to room was cooler than our room.

There are four elevators in building, one was out of order the entire visit.

The best part, there was no water for over 8 hours on Saturday. When we tried to check out earlier than expected due to lack of water, they attempted to charge more money. Throughout the entire experience the front desk individuals were consistently rude. This place is a tourist trap. Based on my experience here I will never come back to Myrtle beach.

The shower head was not properly installed. The first time we turned on water, it sprayed everywhere. I fixed it myself.

Elevator floors are constantly wet, no air conditioning in the elevators. Bathroom by pool had a nasty odor, this was when hotel still had water.

Front desk personnel are unprofessional, rude, and I actually heard them curse out a guest who was in the process of getting a refund. The front desk person made a mistake and when guest called them on it, the front desk person cursed at them. Other front desk personnel did not bother to apologize either.

Avoid this place.

The location was great and the room was decent as far as cleanliness, roominess, and decor. Beds were very small and the television was equally as dinky. The air-conditioning stopped cooling every day and needed to be fixed, which was super inconvenient. We also had to wait for almost 2 hours for our room to be ready after checking in. It was ridiculous.
Now..... the amenities are a joke!! There is one pool, indoors. The pool is tiny and there is one itty bitty hot tub that was always full. And the lazy river was the biggest joke I have ever seen, so smallllll!! We didn't use any of these because they were so insanely small and crowded. We literally walked down the beach and broke into our favorite resort and used their hot tub, pool, and lazy river.
The manager did not remedy any of these issues and was rude. I'm still waiting on a phone call....its been almost a week. The housekeeping staff and maintenance staff was great, very professional and friendly. Front desk could have used some serious help.

It was a very nice place the kitchen was great but there may have been bed bugs unsure woke up with two bites so check your rooms.

Yes, I do understand that most places have age requirements.. but during senior week y all don t let anyone book?? Because lord knows actual parents don t come with them.

Loving the stay so far. But housekeeping is rude. And as far as cleaning, they gave us towels and didn t take any of our trash?

No air in hallways. Found hair on our pillow and in showers. Nice view though.

The location is alittle scary, but overall I liked the hotel. It was scary walking through the pool room that was filled with almost one hundred filthy, obnoxious, rude people. After that I did not swim the rest of my vacation which was upsetting. Many non smart children and even adults were just running around like it was some zoo, while my family and I were just trying to enjoy our vacation. Took almost 10 minuets to get on the elevators because it was so crowded with people who quite frankly have no manners. The beach was nice not a lot of people down there all day which was good. But my family paid a lot to come down here and overall for this vacation but it was definitely ruined by the overall amount of gross & obnoxious people. They basically thought they owned the place and over through it.... but the boy at front desk was nice and our house keeping lady was good. There was a lady staff member cleaning the windows on the doors and while she wouldn t let us go out the door she also sprayed all of us with her window cleaner.

Definitely our worst hotel/motel/resort experience even and definitely our last stay at BayView. There is no excuse for the conditions to be so bad in what is supposedly a very nice property.

Bay View is usually a hotel that we always choose when we take a beach trip. Love the rooms, the pool and the location.

Check in was a little long. When I arrived it was 4 parties in front of me and two behind me. We were in the Sunrise Suite, the room was a great size and the view was decent even on the city side! The TV was a flat screen but it's like a 32in and the bedding was a little outdated. They do have washer and dryers which I didn't pay attention to prior to coming here because I would've washed all my clothes here! They offer free dvd rentals in the lobby, kinda like a redbox. Overall it was a great stay...

Employees were extremely rude. The air conditioning was broken in the first room we had. The following day we was moved to a different room..the door was broken. Took them an hour to come fix it. TERRIBLE. I will never stay here again. I would give -5 stars if I could.

We stayed in room 1908 it was an ok room but has nasty furniture. We went and bought bed sheets to cover it...also smoke detector was broken

Didnt have our rooms available when we arrived. Rooms not cleaned at all filthy. Jammed packed with guest. Ridiculous. Just want to offer housekeeping fees back. Never again
The manager did not give me my housekeeping fees back, like the lady at the desk said he/she would. My first and last time. Service suck,rooms nasty and smelled like smoke my lysol didnt even kill the smoke scent, over crowded with young people. Pool nasty. Not a good view.Would not recommend this place to anyone. Not worth the money. You know during spring break what it would be like as far as guest. Why not be prepared. One couple went down complaining I know 3 xs while we eaited for a room. Then after we went up to find our rooms not clean. They came down again to complain about room still not cleaned. Floors full of spots. Very disappointing. If your children complain then you know something is wrong. I will pay the extra money next time for another hotel. People, listen to the reviews. Weigh the negatives and the positives.

Bay View is a great hotel, the location is great, the price for what you get is competitive to other hotels and the large parking garage isa big selling point. The size and layout of a suite is great, however I've stayed in a smaller room that had a bathroom that was almost as large as the rest of the room, it felt like wasted space. The service has always been very accommodating. The pool area is more geared towards children, a large pool weather outdoor or indoor would be nice for the older guest.
