Bay View Resort Reviews

Bay View resort is an excellent choice for the vacationer looking for fantastic access to both the beach and attractions at the Myrtle Beach boardwalk. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed and can easily sleep guests and visitors alike. The beach near Bay View is well taken care of and the surrounding area is constantly improving. The citizens and public service workers are there to lend a hand or remedy to whatever ails you. Be you weary? You can find rest at BayView. Be you sullen? You can find entertainment at BayView (indoor pools, local night life, shark tooth hunting, cable tv...wooo). Dont pass on a great deal on these rooms if they have a sale going. One of the only hotels that had its amenities ready for the 2016 season. Thats saying a lot.

The hotel was nice! Its a great resort to stay long term. Nice kitchenette! Nice bathroom! Comfy bed! They could do better with the tv service. Maybe get smart tv's where we can watch Netflix or Hulu or something. Other then there being nothing to watch on tv, it was great!

I was told a day previously that my reservation was good and I could pay with all cash the day of. Mind you I drove up from Connecticut. I arrive at the hotel to find out that my reservation was cancelled. They did absolutely nothing to help me besides offering a one bed room suite for 6 people at the same rate of a 3 bed room suite. This place has to respect for their customers and I will make sure to never give them my money again. Absolutely ruined my vacation as I now have to sleep out of my car for the next 2 nights.

I went in January so it was the off season so the price for four people was a little over 65 dollars the breakfast was delicious the room was nice and had a nice view plus a fridge coffee maker and microwave if you need to refrigerator things or reheat them

Terrible room service and management!!! First room had a Dirty mattress with what appeared to be bedbugs spots and a huge stain. When we switched rooms the new bed had what appeared to be a dried blood stain (which the worker at the desk agreed) when I spoke to the manager (Layla smith) she replied that s what bedsheets are for...

Will never stay at Bayview Resort the next time I vacation at Myrtle Beach. The service was horrible upon checking in our room was dirty it was like housekeeping was rushing and half cleaned our rooms. Left over liquor bottles in the rooms, the sheets had stains on it. The air conditioning was leaking in our room over our beds. Maintenance stated it was nothing the could do about it it s normal for an air conditioner unit to leak from time to time. The hotel was overbooked so the elevator situation was horrible very disappointed for the money we paid for this hotel.

This is a beautiful Resort I stayed here for 3 days it is excellent and it has a Starbucks which is a plus

Rooms are great. I like that each one has a suite. Nice kitchen. Furniture in living area needs an update.

Like the rooms. Internet sucks. Do not try to use if you need to, it half ass connects if at all.,

Right on the beach. Convenient parking garage. Ok rooms

I hope to update with a better review. Have been trying to check in for 3 hours, since 1:30 PM. The room is still not available!

I stayed at Bayview Resort for 12 days a year ago this July, I am giving it 5 stars because, during my stay the staff are very friendly and very welcoming, I enjoyed my stay because, I went site unseen, because it is Samoa and SavaI'i but not a tourist hotspot, so if you go by photo's alone you will be disappointed, I won't say what Bayview Resort is like to visit and stay at, because my experience, will be different to your own.

Check in was a disaster and took for ever... but we liked our room when we got it... the elevators r slow, I guess because they r busy. A plus is the Starbucks connected to the hotel awesome... we r located on the boardwalk which was cool we could walk down and shop or get some dinner... over all pretty good and the staff we encountered was really nice

Not impressed on our 4th visit at all! Housekeeping was horrible, out of items for guests, room was disgusting, just not happy and we only stayed one night!

Chasity was awesome best place I've stayed in Myrtle Beach and I've been here over a dozen times

Not a good experience!!! Posted a pic of two fans we used for air movement in main bedroom no air conditioning coming through vent. Lock on sliding glass door broke 2ND night we were here,ridiculous wait for elevators (over an hour), circuit breaker issues no lights in bathroom, it's been a disaster I will stay home before coming back here !!!!! And I can't select no stars

Very nice!! We had oceanfront and would sit on our balcony drinking our coffee in the mornings watching the dauphins playing in the water! The beach was just a few steps away and it was great! So much to see and do all around, everything was so close! The lazy river was so much fun and the pool was refreshing! The room was great and the staff very friendly!!

Small rooms but if you are looking a place to put your head not a bad price. 2 extra stars because it's on the beach.

Room was very nice, pools were crowded but that is to be expected. The resort is right on the boardwalk making morning runs really nice

The resort was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and courteous.

We stayed here in an airbnb so i cant comment on their hotel rooms, but the facilities and campus are well kept and clean. I interacted with the staff a few times and they were all pleasant. The kids loved the indoor pool and lazy rived. Within walking distance to food and attractions.

My family and i stayed in a very clean and spacious suite, no complaints with any of the appliances, the beds were clean and the sheets smelled great, bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels and the room was quite comfortable, my only complaint was lack of luggage carts while checking in, and very long waits for the elevators, if you don't plan on going to and from your room a lot, this is the PERFECT place to bring the whole family! I loved the Starbucks downstairs, and everything seems so clean, no major health concerns, not even for my little 2 month old nephew

The location is good. The parking is free. However, reading the post from the other poster whose convertible was vandalized is a little concern. The living room and kitchen is quite spacious. We have the ocean front with a nice balcony. More

The beds were not comfortable. There is no outside pool. I am not likely to return to this motel.

Our encounter with bed bugs was not a pleasant stay. Felt uncomfortable after moving to another room.

Nice, sea view and swimming pool. However, some of the equipments were not in working conditions like toaster, iron box etc.

Excellent beach front condo with nice tools and great access to the beach. Next door to the very uncrowded Atlantic beach so people can easily spread out.

Terrible experience, never got any maid services at all!!! Had to beg for clean washcloth, towels and toilet paper. Thermostat temperature was locked out so you cannot lower the temperature, it was very hot in the room. Could not leave the balcony door open because of marijuana smoke coming into the room. The advertisement pictures are far from the rundown dump this place is!

Very unprofessional, unsafe due it s open to the public which causes anyone to come in from the road. Had a long wait JUST to check in and be told our room is not ready after several hours. Definitely the worst hotel yet I ve visted in Myrtle beach. Needs much improvement

Accommodations were nice! Clean, no complaints!! Lots of Bum's around the property. I didn't care for that, and Boone else seemed to either.

Wonderful hotel very beautiful but service is slow. I asked for towels and it arrived way later than expected and they were out at the front desk. If you need extra towels it's best to bring your own. Toilet was kinda gross it doesn't flush very well.

No room to park to check in. Paki g deck is two blocks away. Manger was rude when we told him about it.Had a jack hammer noise coming from the ceiling. The bathroom had hair everywhere our sheets had stains on them. Couldn't go out and sit on balcony without smelling marijuana. Parking deck also reeked of marijuana.

The bathroom ventilation was poor in our room. If you take a shower or bath, the whole bathroom would become wet, floors and ceiling. Plus they really need to work on their elevators. The elevators are extremely slow, no air conditioning, and the parking deck elevator broke resulting in our family having to walk down flights of stairs.

It was a great place. Loved the view of the ocean!

My family ( 2 adults and 2 kids 4yrs and 9mo) stayed in the sunset suite from 5/28 to 6/4. We didnt do enough research and didnt realize there is NO room service so that was a bummer.Their is a list of rules/information in the room that states loud noise is not tolerated but that's a lie since I was woken up by people screaming from the balcony and outside on the circle drive each night.The room itself was big but housekeeping is a joke! I myself during MY vacation had to vacuum and sweep because all housekeeping did was make your bed and give you towels and thats if they even came at all! The room wasn't even properly cleaned when we arrived I had to wipe dirt and food off the walls and tables. To me that is beyond unacceptable considering how much we paid . The pool and starbucks were enjoyable. The security guys were very friendly . The elevators are the worst..you will wait more than 5min each time ..my advice is to do a lot of research before you book a hotel!!

Worst beach vacation to date! 2hr. delay in check-in. No hot water. Construction on high rise hotel immediately beside Bay View- blocks entirely "ocean view" of one bdrm terrace and 95% of another. ..plus construction noise loud @ 7am. Tub has 'patch' in side of it. No TV remote. Any &all complaints all met only w/ "I'm sorry". 1st and last stay here.....

Rented the penthouse for the week. It has 4 bedrooms and bathrooms and each bedroom has a balcony with a great view. The problem was that every balcony had cockroaches when we arrived. Management sad they would resolve the problem and that it was just a southern thing that's hard to get used to. WTH!!! Next all of the vents were leaking water profusely. They said they would handle it but never came. Other than that my visit was great. The room and view was great. Ended the week with an amazing view of fireworks being shot from the pier.

This place is unprofessional! I do not recommend! My daughter and her boyfriend had money stolen out the safe in the room. A employee went in the room without permission! Would not be surprised if manager was in on it! PEOPLE DO NOT TRUST THEM!!

Terrible place to stay! Our bed never got made in the week we were there. Not enough elevators, some areas were very out dated

We danced under the stars. Great service. Food was a bit rich but very good.

Located between pier 2 and 14.. not too far either way. I like the walkway boardwalk better than the wooden.. just my preference.. staff was friendly.. room clean.. fridge died... but they are fixing that... plenty of parking.. an outside pool would be nice, but other that that we have no complaints

The room was clean the staff was nice it was on the beach parking was not at the hotel but was not fair from the hotel and you had to use the room key to get in the parking garage it's just a little walk from most bordwalk shops

My husband & I just returned home after a 2 night stay to celebrate my birthday at Bay View and we instantly fell in love with this hotel resort! Ironically my husband booked this resort by accident, after traveling from NC to MB we realized instead of booking at our usual "Baywatch" we booked "Bay View" tired and hungry we decided to try it and I'm glad we did. The hotel staff were all extremely friendly and helpful, our room was wonderful and the location is convenient to many of the places we normally visit. Our only negative experience was we couldn't enjoy the indoor pools and hot tub because the chlorine smell was extremely strong but other than that no complaints, we will most definitely book again!

On 10/12/19 within 5minutes of checking in I was back at the front desk requesting a new room due to flushing the toilet and it started making a lot screeching noise that could be heard all the way down the hallway. I was told no other rooms were available and maintenance would come to check the known issue. A woman stating she was the manager came and stated that this is a known issue and there was nothing that could be done because the pipes need to be replaced but the hotel would lose money because they would have to close down to make the repairs and she left without even coming in to check the issue. I was told even if I could change rooms I would have the same experience because this happens in all of the rooms. I actually stopped the loud noise myself by adjusting the water valve on the toilet because no one from maintenance came. On 10/14/19 around 5am the entire room started to shake and a loud Jack hammer sound rumbled through which continued for 20 to 30 minutes waking us and scaring the children. When I called the front desk I got the same old pipe excuse. This happened 3 more times that morning. This experience was horrible and to be told nothing could be done is unacceptable.

Ok rooms we have the same shape rooms in Gaffney sc. At or cheaper hotels. You have to use key for everything little rooms and cant get off Blvd in hotel without key to swipe. No security to make sure you get in safe. No bar no restaurant. No laundry.

Great experience. The staff was very helpful and was greeted with smiling faces each time.

Great view and excellent room service; it's positioned in a nice spot so that you can walk almost anywhere, or take a short car ride. The hotel has its own parking garage located across the street so you avoid that headache. The only thing to worry about is if you check out on a Sunday morning the carts you used to check in are hard to come by because of the amount of people coming out. If at all possible check out early that morning or have you're car packed the night before.

The resort was nice quiet and very family oriented. The service was absolutely fab

Check in was busy but that is expected due to the bike rally in town this weekend. Stayed in the Penthouse suite. Living area a good size, ocean front with very nice views but the air worked strangely. Either too cold or too hot. Roaches! Everywhere! At least five in the bathroom. I've even seen them outside crawling around. Afraid to even put my luggage in the car. Parking is a block and a HF away or you can pay ten doars a day to park next to the hotel. If they could clean ul the pest problem it wouldn't be so bad.

Great location in the middle of the boardwalk. Staff was friendly and helpful. Elevators could be slow at times but not terrible during our visit as others have said. Room was a little outdated and worn but was clean. Wish they had a second pool being located outside as well. Check in was the worse part with a lot of cars and waiting in the lobby as the lines were long. Overall good bang for your buck!

I really don t even know where to start. I guess we can start with cleanliness first ! We checked in April 22nd for a weeks stay. Room 1506 was so nasty we had to go to Walmart and buy Clorox for I to clean up !!! The following day we found food in the refrigerator and the mold in the shower so thick it rolled down into big balls !! The balcony was covered in bird poop I wouldn t even eat out there !!! Now the beds may god help us !!! I woke up the first morning feeling like I slept on sidewalk !!! The clerks was so nice but the house keepers need to get it together! We spent over 1,300 for our stay and to come to BayView resort and to get a nasty room isn t cool especially when you on vacation and picked a nice resort ....

This place is ok. Close to everywhere, free parking and big room. The room is outdated and elevator is way too slow.

Check in was easy. The room was nice and clean. I was pleasantly surprised.

The ocean view was great. The staff was ok. The location was a little sketchy at night. The room was spacious.
But ...
Our check in was supposed to be 3p, and the rooms weren't ready! After a 12 hour road trip, that was not the best start to a week long stay that was planned/reserved 6 months in advance!
The unloading process was not the greatest, as the unloading bay was super small and full of other cars. Once you pull in, expect to be stuck there for a while.
The pools and hot tub must be maintained with bleach instead of chlorine. We all ended up with chemical rashes. That was interesting.
That sunrise tho...

Nice place to stay. The elevators are always messed up though.

Enjoy the holidays, stayed 6 nights. Had a great view of the beach and Myrtle beach.

Rooms smelled like weed almost the entire time of our stay. Staff was no help to the complaints.
