Close to the beach, that s about the best rating I can give it. The pool is over crowded and smells strange, the elevators take to long and barely work, the parking garage is across the street, kind of a long walk. The rooms are very old and outdated as well as the noise in the building.

Another satisfied spring break vacation with the family. The room and staff was awesome plus the free Starbucks the whole time we were there was great! Can't wait until next year to see you guys keep up the good work because you have a long time customer here! Thanks again from the Pyles family.

I have stayed at this hotel as well as sister facilities. I am very disappointed. I stood outside for over 2 hours to just check in. Completely unacceptable. Where is yr customer service plan for such an issue. No other hotels are having this delay. I called several hours earlier to check in via phone per instructions you sent me by email to be covid safe. I was declined. I was crammed together in close contact for extended amounts of time at check in. There was a dangerous situation going on in front of hotel. Police involvement. You need to makes changes to this process. I tried a half a dozen times to contact management to discuss this. No reply from hotel. Also no housekeeping entire trip. No clean towels. Air conditioning not working in condo. Checked out this morning. Very disappointed.

Horrible, nothing good at all! Don't waste your money or time.

Nice hotel and close by everything. The only negative is housekeeping could do a little better job.

Clean, nice facility. Within walking distance to a lot of great restaurants and social spots.

Very nice resort. Visited others but overall this is my favorite. Good price, friendly staff, nice rooms.

Bathtub wouldn't drain. TV remote wouldn't work and no it wasn't the batteries. A dog ledt out on balcony all day and night barking and disturbing everybody. Not a good experience.

Service was amazing. We were down for F-body weekend and our hotel stay wasn't scheduled for a couple days out. My in laws invited my husband and I to stay with them, and Bay View was more than happy to give us an extra parking pass and an extra key. We eventually started our stay at the Sea Crest and we're immediately dissatisfied. We will be staying at the Bay View next year and any year moving forward.

Rooms/ building was clean and the staff was excellent. Walking distance to the boardwalk and restaurants.Front desk Bianca was Amazing!

On September 11th I checked in at Bay View with no problem. When I got in my room 804A I was greeted by a big cookie on the floor as I walked further in the front room and trash was all in the corner. So I went to just sit my bags on the bed and the top covers had stains on them shaking my head I walked to the bathroom and hair was scrolled all over the floor like someone tried to take a rag and wipe but left everything, tooth paste was on the side of the cabinet and the grease stains was left on the top of the sank. Continuing to look I opened the refrigerator and brown stuff just all over, opened the draw eggs or something stuck all on a spatula. I took pictures and showed front desk she said she was sending someone to clean it so I told her I was gonna leave so they could 2hrs later I came back and the room still look the same i called down and she says someone went up there but u didn't answer. Frustrated I didn't understand what part of I was Leaving so someone can clean didnt she hear. By this time its 8pm and I said ill clean my own room.I sent message threw Ivy that I need to speak to upper management nobody spoke to me .

Is okay for the price, Check in and check out is a mess.. Only 4 elevators in the whole 19 floor building xD... Be prepared to wait anywhere from 5 to 20minutes or take the stairs.. With as many others hotels as there are on the board walk i would just choose another if you can.

Love this place and with a Starbucks downstairs its the perfect location.

Really nice view clean place wish it was hotter but that's not the bayview's fault I'd stay again they had quite a few activities for kids and adults

It s our first night here and I am so not impressed. We have stayed here before and it wasn t this bad. However, after taking my shower I am very upset. Black mold all over the wall and behind the shower head. Worst part is my husband almost died from black mold about two years ago because his job didn t take care of their buildings. I have some lovely pics and will be speaking to management!

Great Location and Value!

We stayed in a one bedroom suite with kitchen and living room. There is a small pool and lazy river. Good room overall. Only complaint is that 'Ocean view' does not mean facing the ocean. There is a portion of a window where if I look just the right, I can see the ocean...

We will absolutely visit again the boardwalk and beach was right by the hotel resort. In the staff was nice and professional and I must said this housekeeping does a excellent job not a good but excellent. I hope this review helped you because I am a customer who was satisfied but the next time I come down I'll try the pool area.

We loved it!!! Our room was clean, spacious and had an awesome view. The staff was so nice and willing to help with every need. We enjoyed the pool and lazy river. You never know what kind of weather in late October. But the pool area was just right..no matter the weather. Thanks bayview resort!! We will be back

This is my third time here an I love it staff supervisor and manager is nice I enjoy my self they treat everyone equally.

Front desk was helpful and friendly. The pool accommodations were nice but not as I expected. The hotel's interior was nice. I really enjoyed the movie rental system in the lobby though. Location is prime, and having Starbucks outside is fantastic. Overall a good experience.

Just arrived today for a 4 day stay, not sure if I will be here that long. Our room wasnt ready until 5 pm. I had to come in and go behind the maids with clorox wipes.
I also requested a room between the 5th and 8th floor, even called to verify yesterday before we got here, however they have me on the 15th floor.
I HAVE NEVER seen anything like it.

I was originally scheduled to stay at Dayton House the week of Sept. 11, but due to the uncertainty of Hurricane Irma, I called explained my reasons for postponing to the week of 9/18/17. The staff was happy to assist and rescheduled me for the same room the following week. When I arrived the room wasn't ready but I was greeted immediately and offered the use of all facilities. The ocean front suite was very nice, no problems at all, the pool, lazy river and ocean access are all excellent. Easy access to dining as well as shopping. Excellent choice for the family or as a quick get away. Excellent value and I will be back!

My family and I have stayed at this resort every summer for the last 5 years and are currently here on our 6th night. Sadly, this will be our last. We have complained twice about the smell of weed seeping into our suite from both the neighboring room and the balcony below us. Nothing has been done because here we are sitting with the smell all around us again. I respect everyone's right to make their own decisions, but if you want to do illegal acts do it at home, not in public with my children around.

Loved the view and location. Wish there were adult hours for hot tub and lazy river.

We ended up in a suite that was outstanding. Location is great, right on the boardwalk with many restaurants and shopping just a short walk away. No on site restaurant but it turned out okay. And the beach is right out the back door. I would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I winter at Myrtle Beach and have found the Bay View Resort to be a great fit for us. The location is great for us to walk everyday and the staff is so friendly and make us feel like family. The security is excellent and rooms are clean and comfortable. We have made many new friends from both the U.S. and Canada and are excited to return next year.

We were told we would be in our room by 12 and it was 3 when we were walking into what we THOUGHT was the right room just to find out we were placed in the wrong room. Goodbye ocean front, hello creepy side street along with half of the ocean view. The room is big though. In conclusion the service sucks but the room is tight. P. S. It took us an extra 45 minutes to unpack our luggage from the drop off area because of how jammed the traffic was.

Although front desk staff was professional the cleaning staff was awful. The person assigned to cleaning our room was rude and lazy. we stayed for 5 days and our room was never fully cleaned. Constantly had to call the from desk just to get the trash emptied. We had a 2 bdrm and the beds in one room were sloppily made once during the entire stay. The remainder of the condo was never touched. Not worth the money or aggravation. Will never stay at this location again.

I checked into this Hotel on 9-1-19. Gov ordered Mandatory evacuation on 9-2-19. had to check out 9-2-19. I was charged $265.65 for 1 night stay. will not be staying at Bay View again.

Nice location. Great price for spring break but the bed was too soft.

dirty linen, fitness center closed, when complained about linen was offered a $25 cleaning refund with an attitude- Unacceptable- All cleaning should be a standard especially in ths COVID enviroment. Had to purchase bed linen because I did not trust they cleaned sheets or pillow cases. Did a through cleaning of my room because I did not trust the hotel cleaned anything- Absolutely disgusting-Hotel rooms over $250 per night and had to worry about this.

Nice facilities. Rooms are a decent size, but were not totally clean. Staff, friendly and helpful. Nice amenities. Did not get our room cleaned either day we were there (to be honest one of those days was our fault). Awesome view of ocean and beach.

These picture are a joke, I have some pictures of the MOLD that was all over my room. I asked to be moved and they said I would have to PAY for an upgrade. The next day we finally got a new room. It completely RUINED our whole vacation. The manager Brian was very apologetic, unfortunately, the only thing that would have made it better was a free stay next time so we can have the vacation we deserved. You would think for $212 a night you would actually get some service!!! They did discount us $44, on our total of $516 for two nights. The fact is that I called 4 times, had a repair person in our room for 2 hours, and then changed rooms all within a two night stay. The fact is that Sunday we all had migraines, probably from the mold. The fact is that I told several staff members that the room smelled like mold and no one even looked for it. Our weekend getaway was ruined. BTW, we were there because I was having hip surgery the next week and needed a relaxing weekend. If I had seen more bad reviews I would have stayed somewhere else so this review is to warn customers so they have the truth! I think most of these positive reviews are FAKE!!!

Hallways and elevators are extremely hot with no AC, don t allow roof top carriers or y all vehicles in the parking garage so I had to pay for parking each day. Good luck getting anyone to answer your calls at the front desk when you call from your own phone. If they do, it s at least a 10-20 minute wait. Rooms were nice and the cleaning staff did an exceptional job though!

Loved the time spent. Great views and condo was very accommodating.

I love love love this place....I think it's the best resort I have been too so far...me and my family love it ...tonight is my last night and I want to stay.... 10 stars from us,I will b nack.

The hotel was in a convenient location, it was close to alot of the attractions. Our room was never clean, not vacuumed for the rest of the stay. They didn't have the right amount of towels, the ac was not working one of the nights, the balcony door couldn't lock, I say this because we had a toddler with us. The lights weren't working at some point during our stay and the remote was not working. I was disappointed with their service.

OCEANFRONT...nice... shower a little raggedy... old timey bedspeads..other pretty good.

Very awesome. I was very impressed. The only problem I had was the sleeper sofa was nasty. But overall awesome price and good place to stay.

The wait in the lobby was long. The lobby is small and unusual. Oceanfront view in amazing but the room smelled like smoke. The balcony was sticky and not cleaned. The garage is across the street and its poorly lit.

Clean great location and views and price. Check in could be quicker as well as room not ready until 4:40pm but minor issue. Staff all great attitudes will be back

The door handle in the bathroom when fully closed locks us in, and the elevator floors along with the floors out of the elevator were wet and we're a falling and slipping hazard and they had no wet floor signs except for the second floor

Used to be my favorite place in Myrtle Beach as it was one of the few places I could stay and enjoy great amenities with my entire family right on the beach, parallel to the boardwalk. Lately, however, there has been a decline in care, attention, and customer service. The units vary so widely in upkeep that you may or may not receive a unit that is up to par. Shared parking with South Bay has made me consider simply staying at South Bay especially since it boasts a comparable price point, similar location, and modernized accommodations. Moreover, the South Bay neighbor has a waterpark, which my 7 yo. desperately wanted to enjoy because the lazy pool and splash areas of Bay View are quite tired. Bay View unit 1008A has left me itchy, congested, irritated, and disappointed this summer 2019. I give it 3 stars for nostalgia with previous great memories. At present, Bay View is really teetering between a 2/3. I'd recommend customer service training and unit upgrades or more stringent timeshare management requirements.

The only reason this resort is not getting 5 stars from me is because our initial suite was too cold. We were told that the a.c. unit was connected to the adjacent suite so our heat was being cancelled out. The maintenance guy said the people next door were probably trying to cool down while we were trying to heat up so neither of us were getting what we wanted. They provided extra blankets for that night & we were moved from our oceanfront suite to an oceanfront condo the next morning. The condo was nice. Our view was amazing! The cable there isn't great, but they provide you with free DVD rentals from the lobby. They also gave us a free ticket to the Grand Prix race tracks, which was really fun! All in all, I would stay there again, but I would definitely book a condo.

Got here at 3 for check in wasn't able to check in till 7. Then got in the room no ac, mind I add we have a 3 month old. Then we goes walking and you have people throwing beer cans full of beer off their balcony which are in the same hotel. The cans almost hit my 5 yr old my wife and my 3 month old. I didn't bring my family to myrtle beach for this. Worst experience ever and management act like they couldn't do anything. Want be going back

I enjoyed a 3 night stay here in January. It wasn t too busy cause travel is low. The prices were as low as $30 a night. The room was well serviced! I will be going back to this location in the future. It s right near the boardwalk as well!

Our room was great, but the elevators were breaking down the entire time we were there. Not a good thing when you are staying on the 18th floor.

Bay View Resort is a wonderful place to stay. It's right on the ocean and the rooms are spacious. We stay here on our vacations all the time. The staff here are very polite.
