I am so sorry that I have to be honest about the resort and give it only two stars. The reason for the two stars is because the resort is 1. On the beach and 2. The representatives were very, very nice. Other than that, the place did not look or feel clean, the room was tiny and the price per night was very high. I have stayed at several different hotels on the beach and experienced cleanliness and comfort and the Bay View Resort does not compare. Again, the employees were very nice and listened to our needs. I met the AM & PM managers and both were excellent! We only stayed one night and had to leave and preferred staying about 10 miles away from the beach. I forgot to mention that the parking lot was a block away from the hotel which did not make it convenient. Sorry!

The rooms weren't too bad and the pools here were decent. The thing that made this vacation worth it was the Boardwalk. It was spectacular. Overall I think Bay View did a genuinely good job at making my stay pleasant
Loved it!! The front desk ppl were awesome! We locked our keys in our room & got another one on the spot with no trouble. The housekeepers done an awesome job & were very friendly. All the Bayview Resort staff we encountered was so friendly. The room was a lil small but the balcony & view was breath taking. The room was extremely CLEAN!!! Parking is a block away but we didn't mind, we did a lot of walking anyway. I enjoyed the Bayview Resort & we will stay there again next year when we take our next vacation.
It is right on the beach of course, but has a very manicured lawn, with shade, and garden lined Sidewalk that makes for a variety of relaxing options. Umbrellas and chairs put out on beach for a fee. Conveniently located between two piers. Housekeeping and maintenance were right there when you needed them. Full size kitchen and washer and dryer. Parking worked out well. All in all worked out fine.
Not worth the price. Outdated, no decent amenities. Elevators are small and slow. Roaches on the balconies. Their lazy river and pool area is a joke. Will not be coming back.
I definitely recommend the Bay View Resort in Myrtle Beach. The very best value for your money. The location was great for walking the Boardwalk. Our suite looked exactly like the pictures advertised online. Very large balcony to view the oceanfront. We absolutely loved it!
Loved location.Need more spacious lobby maybe with coffee and breakfast items.I would make the check in area a little more welcoming. It looked a little cheaply done for such a beautiful hotel outside.Just my lowly opinion.Have a blessed day.
As always we come to myrtle beach ready for a beautiful and relaxed ocean view resort. We came for my little cousin & my aunt birthday (they have the same birthday, mother & daughter same bday so cool!) anyway....We stayed in a condo, ocean view, two bedrooms with master having king size and other having 2 queen size and another room attached with 2 other queen beds. Which was on the 14th floor so all together making it really 3 bedrooms. This particular resort was ok/ good/nice (whatever that means )...(you know what it means) lol. The only complaint I can really say is that upon our arrival here, there was a smell like a sewer smell like the pipes were backed up with "dookie" but other than that we had a wonderful time the kids loved it and easy access to the beach. And also they had a lazy river, kiddie pool, hot tub and regular pool all inside. Outside they had some kind of kid play area I guess it sprinkled water or whatever idk, we just came bk yesterday so we all know it's still spring so it wasn't too hot. But it wasn't too cold either.
Very nice ocean side king room. Great for the kids although we didn't have any. Great and close to the boardwalk. Enjoyed Pier at 2nd Street restaurant...had shrimp and grits for breakfast. Wish the hotels parking was close but I do appreciate the garage. My husband and I love to come in for breaks throughout the day and still see the ocean in the shade of our balcony. We recommend a oceanside balcony if you can save for it. In the summer on Wednesday they have fireworks at 8:00pm on the Pier...NICE!!
When we first got there the lines to check in was EXTREMELY long and took about 30 mins for us to even get to the front. However, The room was really nice and even included a washer and dryer. The bed was extremely old looking and the room was kind of small. There is a redbox type thing in the lobby which was pretty cool, I wish it had newer movies but It was free so you get what you pay for. The parking garage is not connected to the hotel but it's about a block away. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.
Bay View is a nice resort. However it could use some improvement. One of the benefits is the indoor parking garage but you have to walk a block to get to it. There's no shuttle service to get back and forth to the hotel. I've never needed to use room service so I can't speak to that. But the house keeping staff does excellent work. They also have a large indoor pool and the resort is right off the water. So ocean side rooms offer a beautiful view.
On top of not having my room ready for me when I had checked in at about 4:30pm, and being overly RUDE and INATTENTIVE, the room was dirty. The dishes weren't done, there was water in the sink, and there was hair in the bathroom that was CLEARLY not mine or my friends.I had tried to look past these slightly more than minor, disturbing encounters. When walking into my bedroom, however, I thought I saw something running across the floor. I had followed it to what turned out to be cockroaches eating a slice of molded pizza crust.I can handle dirty. I can handle rude. What I ABSOLUTELY CANNOT handle is multiple bugs near where I rest my head at night. My friend and I then promptly had told the front desk that we will not be staying there for the night, weekend, or at all.I have e-mailed the hotel and the hotel manager. I STILL have not received anything back from either one of them.
The view of the beach was great. Marty did an exceptional job checking me in and keeping me comfortable until my room became available (They had an awesome deal that everyone took advantage of--including myself so several rooms were not ready by 3.00pm). She was knowledgeable and professional. The concierge greeted me with, "What's up," after she finished her phone call on her cell phone." The elevators were hot! There are only 4 elevators with >18 floors so prepare to wait. I could not access my Hulu or Netflix accounts. Instead, I could select a DVD from downstairs to watch in my room. Unfortunately, I could not figure out how to use their system. Also the microwave is the older one with the turn knob. The next one is delicate. They need to make certain adults are present to supervise there children at the pool. Why are kids in the hot tub when couples or just mature ladies are trying to relax?! The pool is not a babysitting service. With that said, I love the view of the beach and Marty is the only reason why I did not record some of my experiences. The price was okay. Had I paid more, I would have given them an one. Oh and make certain you are dressed in your room. I forgot to put out the "DO NOT DISTURB " sign. Half a knock and bam, room service in my room with me 1/2 dressed. Smh.
This was our first ever family vacation to Myrtle Beach. We stayed in a 1 BR OF Suite.
Pros: the view of the ocean is spectacular. Very close to the boardwalk and piers. A very short walk to the beach. Friendly staff. Rooms were clean and the housekeeper checked in with us every morning to take trash and clean up/bring towels etc.
Cons: the rooms were a bit outdated and had a faint smell of smoke. There were no blankets other than the comforter on the beds (we brought our own anyways). Our corridor was loud at all hours of the night. You could hear people arguing and doors slamming. We didn't get much sleep due to the loud doors and noisy neighbor's as well as the fact that the bedroom was very hot stuffy. I would suggest a fan for each unit with a bedroom. Pools were always full of unattended children. This made it difficult for my family to swim, but we came for the beach anyway. The elevator situation is terrible. The "resort" should invest in some more elevators. There's no reason for me and my family(as well as other guests) to have to wait 30 minutes to Get on. The parking garage is across the street but it's a short walk and it's locked...which brings me to the next con... There were cops arresting people all over This place. And on our last night there, my 3 Teenage daughters were threatened by a man telling them he was going to shoot them because one of the girls stopped walking in front of him! He continuously kept verbally harrassing them until it caught the attention of a police officer. Do not let your kids out of your sight.
I would have recommended this place had it Not been for the incident on the last night.
This is a great place to stay on your vacation to Myrtle Beach. Nice decorations and amenities contribute to an awesome experience. My only complaint (which is minor) is that it isn't the cleanest outside of the room. Overall a great resort especially when compared to other resorts.
This is a nice resort, let me just start off by stating that. The staff was very friendly, our room was ready when we got there about 1pm to check-in. The first night there, I called down to the front desk as the people in the next room were blasting there music so loud, the bass was vibrating the connecting door between the rooms. They said they would send security up. This was about 10:40pm, by 11:15pm no security and the music was still blasting, so I walked down to the front desk, and they said they never received a call from me......okay, I am assuming that the person on 2nd shift didn't communicate to the person starting 3rd shift.....by 1130pm the music went away. Also, it seems that this resort has issues with their elevators, there was only 2 working elevators in the resort out of 4 elevators. Also, in the parking deck, the second night we were there the elevators in the parking deck were not working at all. The maid service never came into our room to clean or empty trash cans while we stayed. On the second day we were there, we were sitting on the back deck while waiting on the lightening storm to pass and kids were spitting from the balconies of their rooms onto the back deck and it was landing on us. We also had the starbucks special where we got $15 in vouchers to starbucks that is connected to the hotel, however the $15 only covered 3/4 of the breakfast, the average breakfast sandwich was about $3.5 and the average drink cost was $5, if there are 2 people that is over $20. We had easy access to and from the beach from the resort, and we could walk to the boardwalk area to get ice cream. Overall I would stay here again, I felt very secure safety wise with it just being me and my daughter.
The phone tree to make a reservation is pathetic. Good luck knowing where your call is going. Parking (deck) is distant and crowded. There are two small, crowded elavators for such a big establishment. Pricing is fair and rooms are nice. Kid friendly.
It's a clean place with a pretty friendly staff, and the rooms are nice. I liked the indoor pool, but it's not as big as the website picture portrayed at the angle the picture was taken and it gets crowded fast. There's also one hot tub if you can ever get to it, it stays pretty crowded. House keeping disappointed me, after the first night we didn't put the do not disturb sign it for two days and all that was done was the dirty towels were taken and replaced but they failed to bring new hand towels or wash cloths.
Our room was not very clean and the shower didn't drain properly. We didn't have wash cloths or a shower curtain upon arrival, we got a shower curtain but never did get wash cloths. The elevators could not handle the amount of guest and they also made random stops on floors that didn't have anybody waiting to get on. This made a trip from the 16th floor down to the lobby a 10 minute trip. We definitely won't be back.
We're here in the off season visiting family. The room is tiny & smells of stale cigarette smoke, if you open the balcony to air it out other people on their balconies smoking infiltrate the room and make it unpleasant. If you close the door and turn the a/c on the air blowing throughout the room smells like stale cigarette smoke. While we spent most of our time out and about, my allergies flared and I suffered while sleeping and during downtime indoors. If your sense of smell is poor or you don't mind small, smelly places, this is the place to be.
Very nice accommodations, however there are only 4 elevators to accommodate 19 floors so you will wait a while for an elevator. Pool area is ok has a funky smell that isn't chlorine, if you have a lifted vehicle like I do you will have an issue with the parking garage it only accommodates 7' or lower, the hallways have no a/c and the room a/c only goes as low as 69 degrees but if you have an oceanfront room there are very nice views. The staff is extremely nice no problems at all they are building a hotel that is taller than Bayview itself next door so the side view/ocean view room views are diminished slightly but still nice.
Thin walls. On the top floor but it sounds like the ground floor. Dishes aren't 100% clean. Kitchen smells like mildew. Dirty furniture... But great layout, pools great. View is amazing .
We decided to head to the beach and just wing it instead of booking a hotel. we looked at a few of the booking sites and this hotel had a 7 star rating, so we decided to stay. hotel looks good from the outside, but it stops there. If any type of clean is up your ally, then you need to find a different ally. They don't clean your room during your stay, nor make your bed. stay elsewhere.
Enjoyed my 4 days with my spouse . The hotel was reasonable and the location was close to all the attractions we were interested in visiting. The staff was pleasant and even helped since it was our first time there. The room was just what we needed. We enjoyed our stay and will visit again.
I don't see anything wrong with this place people just too picky had a great time the only issues we had were with the keys to the doors very convenient to everything and clean could be a little updated but beds were comfortable I didn't see any bugs had a great time would stay here again also would be nice if they had an outdoor pool
So far it has been really great. The Condo is spacious, and is very clean. Some previous reviews didn't sound promising but we are actually happy with it..
This place is really nice We paid about $125 a night for a 2 bedroom, 2 bath, ocean front condo. Awesome price! Check-in was easy and effortless. We didn't have problems with unloading but I can see how that could be a problem. Besides the carpet being dirty and stained and the bathroom floors being dirty (I found out when I wiped up a spill in the bathroom. They look clean but they're really filthy. Please wear shoes or socks at ALL times.) the place was really beautiful....The kitchen was nice, with black appliances and granite countertops, it was definitely more than sufficient. The decor throughout was decent and it was clean. There was also a washer and dryer...Now that I've covered the inside let me talk about the ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING views of the Atlantic ocean!!!! Wow!!!!! Wow!!!! Wow!!!! This place is right on the beach and steps from the boardwalk. It is definitely in a prime location. For the most part the check-in staff and others that I encountered were friendly. However, I was a bit disappointed in Trey and Tangela because when I asked for a later checkout, 1 additional hour, Trey first told me to call back down and talk to a manager. When I called down, less than 5 minutes later, I was told they don't honor late checkout. However, when I went down to checkout, there was a lady in front of me asking for an additional 2 hours and the manager gave her an hour and a half. That's not good business practice.....Oh yeah, the Starbucks attached to the hotel was ridiculous. They were always running out of food and their baristas need more training. It is definitely not equipped to handle a place of this magnitude. So, Bay View is losing a star for the dirty floors/carpet and the inconsistent business practices.
It was a ok place for what we paid We had a two bedroom oceanfront condo which was ok but a little outdated. The bathrooms were big but one bathroom the water wouldn't drain while taking a shower and the other shower we couldn't use cause the water smelled like rotten eggs. The view from where we were was awesome but really couldn't enjoy it because of the people below us kept smoking weed and above us kept throwning trash on our balcony. There was no outdoor pool and really couldnt enjoy the inside due to all the loud people that were there and the non stop music.
We always have an excellent stay here at Bay View! All requests were met and the hotel exceeds our expectations every time. We stay multiple times a year. Wish you guys had a option for late check out..
I would never book with Bayview again they book rooms that they do not have and will not compensat for it I booked two night and was given the wrong room both night's look out for excuses like we're sorry all of our rooms are booked we will help you in the morning, it wasn't me who booked it for you, you booked from a 3rd party and more... fact is that I booked through Bayview and was not compensated for there mistake.. don't book there you will absolutely regret it also look out for bed bugs they book there to
I love Myrtle Beach in the winter. The room we got has a full kitchen and is very roomy. The boardwalk outside the hotel is just a short walk to the strand. Starbucks on the lower level! The only bad I think I can say is that the hallway outside of the room has a terrible odor, but suck is life at Myrtle Beach sometimes
Very nice place to stay . The ocean view rooms are worth it. This hotel is in a great location and I'll definitely go back here when I make my way back to Myrtle Beach.
Great place, great price. The tv wasn't great, it didn't have the major network channels such as abc, nbc, cbs, etc. and the cable quality was poor. We didn't watch a lot of tv so it wasn't a big deal. Great place to stay
