Great location. Nice rooms. The pool is pretty small, but all in all it is a good value.

The room was clean and the service was excellent. Location was neither great nor bad.

Reserved an ocenview room weeks in advance... They couldn't find our reservation. Ended up with a nice view of the construction next door instead of the ocean. This place is more suitable for families with children.

I love the room!! we had a ocean view and it was amazing to sleep with the door open on the balcony to hear the waves. The room was clean and cozy.

My friend and I often stay here (we are locals) just as a change of scenery and change of pace and we love LOVE staying here. Until last night when we went to go book a room and the horrible supervisor (maybe 5 10 Justin Bieber looking hair male) told us he can t let us stay there because we live in Horry county... what!!! We have stayed there with no problem at least 10 times in the past and made unforgettable memories and apparently we are no longer allowed to rent a room and give them our money because we are local??? Makes no sense. Guess I ll give another hotel my $$$ 10/10 would not recommend.

I definitely do NOT recommend this place . The lady in the front desk was rude and obnoxiously loud for no reason . My room was ready and even though they knew I was waiting they didn t notify me . The worst part was when I ran out of toiletpaper and went down stairs to the front deck and the same obnoxious lady made me wait because she was to busy talking to her co worker then when she finally ask what I needed ,she said all I have is clinex if you want it !!! Like I said before horrible customer service I do NOT RECOMMEND this place nor will I be wasting my money on this place !!! If I could I would give this place NEGATIVE STARS!

Great vacation, the staff was wonderful, and very helpful. First time at a beach and actually being in the ocean. There a lot of shops to visit, and food locations.

I recommend Bay View Resort to everyone, I will be back again for sure The view from the balcony is breathtaking!

To be fair, it has been 7 months since I stayed at the Bay View. When I stayed, it was under construction but, I will say that other than seeing the exterior under construction, you would never even know. The staff was very accommodating. I will say that the rooms felt a little outdated, but they were very clean. My room was a family suite of 2 rooms with a shared kitchen and living space. Four beds, a pull out sofa, 3 televisions and a balcony with an ocean view, but we did not spend a lot of time in the room...The hotel was right on the beach, near the boardwalk, and had an indoor pool with a lazy river. I never used either though, because there were alot of families staying in the hotel and the pool was always filled with children. The hotel offers off the street parking in a private parking deck but it is a bit of a walk from the parking deck to the hotel. The Bay View is located in a busy area (obviously, right?) and it is in walking distance (about a mile) to the strip with restaurants and souvenir shops. It was a 5 or 10 minute drive to nearby attractions, we went to Ripley's Aquarium and Ripley's glass bottom boat. My stay was good, I would stay here again.

Great location! You are walking distance from many shops restaurants and entertainment! beautiful view. Hotel is nice. Employees are very friendly, although the Wi-Fi is weak which sucks. I would recommend this hotel.

Where do we begin..first, you have to park in the parking deck which is located across the street and behind another building. The area you have to walk to get to parking deck and back to resort was not clean and seemed unsafe. We didn t leave our room after dark in fear of walking back and forth from parking deck. There were no lights lighting up the area back and forth from parking deck. The parking deck is shared with another hotel that uses a ton of parking spaces for valet parking that isn t offered at this hotel. The in and out entries to the parking deck didn t always work. The shower has to run forever before the water gets warm and anytime the shower is running it sounds like a plane is landing in the middle of the hotel room it s so loud. The dishwasher turned on by itself. The ceiling was peeling so bad, the flakes from it fell into our suitcases. Our room was not clean. We even had dirty towels hanging up as if they were clean (had hair on them) We had to practically beg for new towels each day and our trash to be taken. There is no outside pool. And the pull-around to unload and load your vehicle is so small that you have to wait forever to get in and out if other people arrive and leave at the same time. They do have free movie rentals and a DVD player which was nice but the tv was extremely small too and there is no DVD remote control. The bedroom TV wouldn t work because the outlets in the bedroom were broken. You can only turn the temperature down so much before it stops allowing you to turn it down and it was so hot. When we first arrived it smelled like urine in the rooms and we even went and got cleaning supplies to clean the room and make it smell better. The dishes were in the cabinet but not clean. There were even lip prints and lipstick left on the classes. We will never stay there again and wouldn t recommend it to anyone else.

It was very nice. Room was small. That was alright our stay was just one night. The little hallway smelled very badly of cigarette smoke. Not good for a no smoking resort.

Nice rooms! The elevator and hayways are hot though bc they're not air conditioned and being on the 19th floor it gets to be quite an uncomfortable ride up

This is my husband's favorite hotel at Myrtle Beach. It's a great, and close location you can literally walk to the restaurants and shops on the beach. The room we book everytime has a separate bedroom, kitchen and living room. I love it has a washer and dryer in the unit and it's very comfortable. It does only have a pool, kiddie pool, hot tub, and lazy river but, it's cool. We always have a great time and Tara at the desk is awesome! She is kind and spot on.

The rooms were nice, a little smaller than usual though. My only issue is, we booked online ahead of time, but only got rooms on the second floor. But I have bike week to blame for that. The pools are nice, but a little loud. Also, the hotel is a very short distance from the beach, practically footsteps. Boardwalk is a little farther, but it's always nice to get some exercise.

I went to Myrtle beach with a couple of my friends for a weekend and stayed here. The suite we reserved has a kitchen, bed room, hall and a balcony. Small pieces of paint was falling down on to the dining table and the balcony floor was dirty. When we asked to change our room we were told there're no more suites available and have to down grade if we want to change. They said they will send someone to wash the balcony floor and but there is nothing they can do about the paint chips falling down on the dining table. No body cleaned balcony for our entire stay. Not only that the cleaning lady is so rude. The first day when the lady came we were still in the room and she rudely gave us some towels and left. Till the day we vacated we didn't see her and no body cleaned suite and we never got any towels. Not even the trash is taken out. The only plus point is the resort is right next to the ocean but so are other resorts. Don't waste your money on this place.

Went here for a weekend mid April. The rooms were clean enough and fairly priced. The parking was another street over which kind of sucked but wasn't a huge issue. What really made it a crappy stay was the other people in the hotel. Loud music all day and evening, arguing and fighting all night. They gladly switched our room to get away from one crowd just to be next to another. One morning there was someone passed out in the hall and you couldn't get away from the stench of weed. Definitely will not be back to this hotel.

My first time being there, and insha Allah it will not be my last time.

I had to wait TWO HOURS for my room. First room had overwhelming smell of smoke. Second room is badly in need of a deep cleaning. Dirty kitchen, filthy balcony, and woke up with bites from BED BUGS! The $100 credit the front desk promised me never materialized on my invoice. I'm thoroughly disgusted.

Our initial ocean view room was the size of a utility closest with a view of a cement wall. If you bent over the railing of the minuscule balcony you could barely see the ocean. Beware of the term ocean view at this place. We were able to upgrade for a substantial amount more.

I really enjoyed my stay. the location was great, the room was clean and had a great view, ocean front. we saw dolphins swimming by one morning, that was awesome! House keeping personal kept clean towels restocked

Worst hotel we have been to in myrtle beach. The hotel is nothing special and is old , outdated, and musty. They gave us a 2 full bed room for 5 people which isn t what we were expecting. The worst part was that 2 of the 4 elevators were down during a Sunday checkout and we ending up waiting an hour for an elevator before ending up carrying out stuff down from the 17th floor

I didn't stay here, but Starbucks is here and it was the only thing early in the morning walkable from the Windsurfer. Maybe I stay at the Bay View next time, because I definitely won't be using the Windsurfer again.

This is the only resort I would stay at when I come to the beach. However after the experience I am dealing with today August 18, 2018 I will no longer book Bay View for their services. They cut off the water because they have a pipe burst. I understand something's are out of the resorts hands but they didn't try to accommodate us for anything. I have spent well over $20,000 dollars over the years coming here. After the horrible experience I will take my business somewhere else. Bay Biew guest have to share parking with their sister resort next day which made parking worst than ever but we can share their pool. Yet South Bay guest are allowed to share Bay View resorts pool! Their elevators hardly work and you had to wait a ridiculous amount of time.

My wife and I have stayed here twice the room was very nice and the staff were very nice. We loved how it was right on the beach and that it was close to everything in town we would definitely recommend this place.

Place is a dump no real value to their consumers. Older and smells

Review of 1810- loved the room layout with city sunset view and ocean view. Best part of the hotel. Room needs to have everything updated. Faded pictures and dated furniture with dark dining area. Our room phone did not work either. So we couldn t call down to ask for towels or trash change. We had to call in our cell phones.
Check-in was torturous. Not enough desk clerks to work the high volume late afternoon checkin. Our trash was never changed nor towels. Even after I tried to talk to a cleaning staff in the hallway. Generally the resort needs a good cleaning. Pool area was ok. No outside pool. Way too many people in hot tub that stayed too long. Even after a employee asked people to take turns. The hot tub seemed dirty.
Doubtful we will return and won t recommend to others.

The hotel is decent. One side of the hotel has construction next door. Our first Ocean view room was more of a construction view. After talking to the front desk they kindly moved us and we got an upgraded room!!

We arrived here on January 3rd for a weekend getaway. We got a 2 bedroom ocean front condo. It is 11:50 at night and we are very disappointed.

One of the first issues we noticed is that the condo hardly has any supplies. We ve stayed here before and we had paper towels and plenty of dishes. There are no paper towels and a total 4 glasses. This is something minor and likely wouldn t have resulted in a complaint. What we have discovered since is unacceptable.

There is black mold in the shower. We didn t have to search for it, nor is it hidden by anything. It is completely visible for anyone to see yet apparently no one thought it was bad enough to take care of. There is a lot of rust and mold around the shower head.

In the living room, the TV is cracked, and there are stains everywhere in the furniture.

We are not typically hard to please but black mold is completely unacceptable. We took plenty of photos of the mold, rust, stains, and cracked screen upon arrival.

Talked to Tangela at the front desk and she fixed the situation very quickly. She was extremely apologetic and very concerned about what we reported. She found us a new room quickly and made sure we were happy. The new room is very clean and stocked with everything that we need.
As long as Bay View has employees like Tangela, we will come back!!

Good location but there were a lot of cockroaches outside on the balcony
and the room was not very clean.

Changed rooms 3 times in 2 days, the 1st night the room staked so bad. But this lady Natasha was so helpful and friendly and got things on track and she was security just helping out. We had to wait after reservation 45 min. Walked up 9 floors elevators over packed and waiting 30 mins or more for one. And the rooms are not clean and furniture needs an update bad. No coffee or cups the mirrors and black appliances were wiped off with something dirty. Just take time out to clean around the bed w/ a vacuum cleaner. That was late year those pictures I added 5/5/18

Good rooms if you want an ocean view say ocean front. 2 queen beds and a pull out couch 2 balconys 2 tvs and a kitchen with pans. Great experience recomed it again.

Absolute nightmare, room was dirty, found nasty used condom on floor, stove and kitchen floor was greasy. Asked for mop to get grease off floor never got one. Air went out in room they never came to repair it. DEFINITELY A NIGHTMARE

Great experience. Nice staff, confortable room, perfect view. They were on top of everything we needed, had a huge building for parking in a 2 minutes walk. Totally recommended.

The 2br condo that I rented was amazing. It was super clean and very open and the balcony was amazing. The big attitude problem I encountered was when I was parking to register by the doors. There was a bellhop who said to the car behind me in a very loud an obnoxious way that they needed to move the car in 5 minutes or it would be towed. Besides this incident, the attitudes of everyone else was excellent. Another issue I had was that I got a cinnamon roll from Starbucks that seemed old and dried out. My sister who was one of my guests was also saying that she got a coffee and it was not made the way she asked for it to be. These incidents with Starbucks were very minor and the rest of the times dealing with them were a breeze. One More thing, the elevators were deplorable. The doors made all kinds of noises when they opened and closed and they would randomly jump for no reason when going from floor to floor. They should get fixed before they get stuck. That would really ruin a good time

Stayed here for my wedding night and honeymoon, it s still (after 10 myrtle beach vacations) my favorite hotel! We will definitely be back!!

Bayview resort was borderline due to the following issues we encountered:

Day 1: arrived at 8:45pm after checking in an getting settled Called for towels and sheets to go over dirty arm chair and for the sleeper sofa around 10:00pm was told they are sending up some 11:20 still nothing called back and said housekeeping is gone have to send someone down to get some.

Armchair filthy had to cover it with a sheet to sit on it bc couldn t be replaced

Crumbs from previous stay in second bedroom on floor between both beds

Ceiling had areas of dark spots and areas with paint missing or falling on floor in both living room area and master bedroom

Middle bar chair very wobbly and rocked couldn t use it

Balcony had lots of bird poop in both corners had to clean chairs in order to use. could only use the middle section of the balcony

Lawn chair with cracks on balcony and seconds made cracking sound when sitting on it

Light-switch on lamp by tv in second bedroom broke can only plug up to turn on

These are things housekeeping could ve reported prior to guest arriving

Day 2: had to call for housekeeping because no one came and it was after 3:30pm
Decided to just ask for towels and was told to put trash out put my trash out the side of the door by worker walking the hall.

Day 4: Monday housekeeping came after I stopped them in the hall around 4:00 and took the trash we had bagged up and brought back towels.

Day5: Tuesday bc I was having issues with getting housekeeping to come up the last couple of days, my crew and I decided to buy Items to wash our towels and sheets.
Today house keeping came and offered but towels were being washed so she took out the trash.

Washed towels however and noticed water on floor in laundry room wiped it up and called maintenance came up and said didn t see any water however started another cycle to see. A few minutes later water leaked again called back maintenance came stated not coming from washer looked in bathroom stated must be coming from in the walls had this issue in another unit before. Asked if he heard the noise from the dryer stated yes and put in a replacement order also said if water gets really bad to call back.

At check out I was given the following reasons for my issues, was told they had a shortage of keeping up with towels and sheets. Was told that they only have one person in housekeeping at 3:00 and that makes it hard on everyone. Concerning the bird poop that the birds poop all the time on the balconies bc people feed the birds. Concerning the crumbs, housekeeping is a issue and with the water coming from the laundry area maintenance will handle it. Stated the furniture is being replaced so the chairs will be better and didn t cover anything concerning the ceiling.

These concerns made my special Birthday week a little less relaxing because of worrying about washing towels and worrying if the laundry area would flood. I didn t expect to have to come to the beach to wash towels for use and having plaster/ paint chips fall on you while sleeping or walking to the bathroom.
Over all I like the resort and would recommend to others mainly because of location. however, I feel as though we just got a unit that needed a more attention. I would love to have some form of feed back on these matters as it will determine if we come back to this resort.

The Best Motel Ever Right on the Beach Front convenient to evrything you want to do. Or just do Nothing safe and secure Including the Parking deck with ride offered to the parking deck and from the deck. (Safe).

Check in was a breeze, the receptionist was very helpful. I didn t experience any sort of problem with the elevators. The resort had secure entry into the resort and the parking lot, there is a Starbucks cafe on site as well, across the street is a mini market and a liquor store. I stayed in a one bedroom condo, the room was very clean and spacious, it had a huge kitchen with pots and pans, and dining plates, the view of the beach from my room was breathtaking. All staff I encountered during my stay was helpful. They have a lazy pool, hot tub and a 3 ft pool for the kiddies. I really enjoyed my stay

Great place to stay the rooms have a great balcony view overlooking the ocean and the beach. All the staff are very friendly. There is a pool and hot tub and a lazy river. There is beach and boardwalk access right from the resort. Plenty of food and shopping close by.

reservations screwed up price was almost double (partly my fault for not checking reservation a lot closer) was no help when pointed it out to them that the internet site was a lot cheaper. wrong room (again no help when pointed out to them), no receipt when leaving (system down) had to call back to get them to email it to me, maintenance acted like i was annoying them to get them to fix tv. overall bad experience and i was a repeat customer, not anymore.

Overall experience was great. Only disappointment was 1 rude employee that had an attitude after I asked if a late check out was available. We stayed in the 3 bedroom ocean front condo which was wonderfull. The layout of the unit on the website was a little misleading but it ended up working out for our group. The 3rd bedroom (studio) is NOT continuous with the rest of the floorplan. It is a separate, adjacent room. In order to get the ocean front views, they had to come to "our room". All of the keys worked for both rooms so it was pretty easy. A few reviews said there were smoke/weed smells. It didnt bother us but, yes you could smell cigarette and weed smoke. Dishwasher was broken but we didnt find out until we tried to run it before checking out. Unfortunately we didnt checkout the pool area because it was just too crowded and dirty. I hope it was only dirty because it was so packed all day. The kids in the pool area seemed to be having a blast though. Try requesting a lower level room because the elevators are EXTREMELY SLOW. Also walk carefully because the whole place is a slip hazard from the pool area and beach access.

All of that being said, I would come back! Most of the items above are simply mentioned to give people a realistic expectation. I'm pretty easy going and only look for necessities. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the 1 rude employee (as someone who works customer service, this was a big deal to me). The location and price is such a good deal. It was dreadfully hot and humid when we went but it was manageable because the hotel was so close to everything we wanted to see. The beach access was amazing. Super close to restaurants and shops. About a 15 minute walk to the sky wheel. The starbucks vouchers and employees were great!

We always stay here! Parking is in the parking deck 1 block up. Supposed to shuttle you across, we go 3 times a year (for years at this point) have only been on the shuttle twice lol

My husband and I are staying here for our honeymoon. The room we have is beautiful, it's super spacious. That is why I've rated it 4 stars. There's a pool area on the first floor and a fitness center as well on the second. The hotel is in a very lively location which is good if that's what you're into. The beach is literally right outside. Very nice scenery.

Overall nice place, stay was enjoyable. Toilet was broke when we first got to room but was addressed quickly.

The whole time we were here had to go to front desk to get coffee,creamer,sugar and to ask for clean towels. No maid service. Room didn t look nothing like the one on website. Old. Pool area looked old. Worst of all my husband and I were sitting on balcony at night and roaches started coming down from room above us. On one positive note the balcony did have a beautiful view.
