After spending a week here, I really was disappointed. The parking situation is abysmal. Check in process took forever. The condo was just ok. A strong smell of reefer ruined the balcony for us. Beach access wasn't too great either
I wouldn't recommend this location for older, less mobile folks. The furniture in the room is too large for the space, and it is easy to bang/hurt your knees on it. The layout of the suite was somewhat odd as well.
Loved of partial oceanfront suite with two balconies. This room is one of my favorites bc of all of the amenities within the room. Full sized stove refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer. I've stayed here multiple time and really enjoy it. The only thing I didn't like this trip was the elevators. Only one family allowed on at a time which became a game to find a empty elevator lol. Will be back
The best Hotel I have ever stayed at! Staff was very friendly and helpful! Both indoor and outdoor facilities are fantastic! If you are staying in Myrtle Beach this is the place to go!
The room was great. Clean quiet. The sheets were clean. There was a washer dryer set in the room which I didnt remember seeing in the description so that was an awesome surprise. Staff was pleasant. The remotes in the room either didnt have batteries or just didnt work that's the only problem I came across.
Oh how there is never enough words to do justice. We loved it whole way valet helped me unload luggage never bothered me about valet pressure to opt in.
Roach infested and garbage disposal has foul smell, furniture has tears and outdated, popcorn kernels found on the floor, chain to toilet handle keeps breaking off, you turn off bed room light switch it turns off the bathtbat lights, cable went out, pools are merky and overpopulated
The hotel location is very good, kid friendly, somewhat. There is a nice indoor pool. But, general cleaning is an issue. Also very loud in the night, and weird smells all through the hallways.
Good location. On the Boardwalk and within walking distance to the main area of the Boardwalk and restaurants. Stayed in an Oceanfront Condo. Plenty of room.
Obnoxious people playing loud profane music in the pool area and from balconies. When I asked someone at the pool area about the loud music nothing was done about it, but that wants too big of a deal to me. When I called down at 9:30pm to the front desk to ask if there was something that could be done about the loud music because it was keeping my kids from sleeping, I was told people can play music as loud as they want until 10pm. Not a family friendly place at all. The location of the building is in a fairly sketchy area as well. Walked along the road side of the building on the first night we stayed here and there were people fighting and threatening to pull a gun. I wouldn't recommend wasting your money on this place, and don't risk taking your family to this place!
Our room was way more than we expected, especially for the price. It accommodated our needs. Due to our wonderful stay we are planning to make this an annual stay/visit.
Where do I even begin. This place if it wasn't for the manger "Mike" I would give this place 1 star and wish to give it zero. I went with a group of friends, and we paid for a 3bedroom oceanfront view suite. the layout online had 3 bedrooms, living room 2 bathrooms and the kitchen. So picture kind like a 3 bedroom apartment. When we got there,we used the room key to open the door and to our surprise there were two more doors after that 1st one. So we opened the 2 doors and see that 2 of the rooms are in one and the 3rd one is of to the side by itself in the 2nd door. So not like what they layout showed. The 2nd issue was the leak coming from the vents. Call front desk and they guy they send up to look at it said it was from us have the balcony door open. Since it was hot out said and cold inside. Mind you we didnt have the door open unless we had went out to take pictures which did not take long. So I had to deal with water dripping on my head since there was a vent above my bed. 3 issue was since housekeeping only clean the rooms every 3rd day, I cleaned the suite as I was sweeping my sister in law and I moved the table and after I swept we moved it back. Once we put it back one of the legs fell off. Now for a sec. I thought we broke the table but as we looked at how it was possible since we didnt put pressure or anything on it we noticed that it didnt have all the screws and was already "off". Last was the washer. Which flooded the site now the pictures you see are after they cleaned up the water. Front desk did nothing to help. Said we had to wait till 3 PM to move room and that they would not be the 3bedroom suite and it would be in different floors and not oceanfront. The flood happened at about 10:30am long story short there they moved us to a different hotel said they would give us our money back for 1 night and pay for our last night at the other hotel but we have not yet received our refund and the other hotel did not receive the "walk" information till our check out the next day. So our 3rd day we spent just about all day dealing with the front desk not wanting to help and moving from this hotel to another. By the time we got everything done and got into our new room at the other hotel it was just a out 3pm.
Had a wonderful stay...pool,jacuzzi,and lazy river were great.It was only 3 or 4 blocks from Skywhell and atrractions and had a starbucks on ground floor
We enjoyed our stay. We had 2 bedroom condo unit. Clean, very nice kitchen, comfy beds, outside grounds were beautiful. Only thing that needs updated is living room furniture. Would stay again.
Room was nice but could have been cleaner. Trash from past guests in left in room, no toilet paper in room, bathroom towel rack was broken. We loved the pool, and the access to the beach.
This place really helped me and my friend we had no where else to go and was really tired! The staff went over and beyond to find us a room because every was booked up omg!
So far so good. Was on the 15th floor. Couldn't handle it.. Nice enough to make us a room available on the 9th floor. Thank you. Customer service right there.
So let me tell you. Me and my girfriend went for my and hers birthday. Trust me when i tell you dont stay in room 1101 worst bed ever. And staff is full if promises. But no action.
Please find somewhere else. Parking is 125 yards away from the hotel! There is no where to even unload your luggage, the driveway in front is smaller than one you'd typically find at a house. The staff is generic, fake and doesn't care if the air conditioner doesn't work in June in South Carolina. Average cost is $200 a night during the summer, don't beleave it anywhere on any other site to be cheaper than that. We booked there because we thought it was nicer than the rest of Myrtle Beach. Stay in North Myrtle Beach instead.....
We have really enjoyed the condo. Very nice and helpful staff, clean suite, soft pillows and cool comfortable rooms. The only thing I would suggest is to make sure to request a cleaning...I am accustomed to cleaning the condo daily by housekeeping, which is normally just sweeping and making sure we have towels, coffee, soap ect...here they ask you to request this service. We will most likely return.
Spacious condo - good! Cleaning every 3 days only - bad! Very crowded place and messy. Was promised ocean view but big apparent block construction blocking the view. 3 stars is for the spacious room and the quiet sleep, which was our biggest surprise - else 2 stars. For sure overpriced for the place!
I've been coming here with my husband for over 10 years - updated couches and lovely bedding this year- no problems changing rooms or floors each time - easy beach access and great location
Great ocean views and access, very clean rooms,, and friendly staff. Only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is due to the fact that the resort still has not released my "refundable" 100 dollar deposit and its been a week since booking the room and 4 days since checking out....it still shows as pending on my account and its next to impossible to get anyone on the phone to tell me whats going on.
Worst hotel to stay in . House keeping are thieves ..left the room for a couple of hours and came back to my money gone . Will never be coming back to this hotel/resort. Terrible experience
Room was not what was advertised. Air didn't hardly work and if you tried to use the heat it didn't hardly work either. The room was small, dirty and definitely not was reserved. Canceled my reservation while on the way down there without ANY notification.
Goods and bads.. Good- great price, nice room. Nice indoor pool area. Bads- garage is a block away. First 2 floors are reserved for valet service-- so guests have further up to park and longer to get in and out. 1st day our room was still not made up at 4pm.. they claimed some staff were out.. biggest issue was a water leak above our room. Maintenance brought a very loud fan to dry out ceiling. We spoke to mgr and they issued a room credit. All in all a B-.. will most likely come back.
Had a great experience! Very nice and courteous staff. Downstairs and pool area have been updated, rooms need a little modernization. Overall a great deal and you are right on the beach. I have stayed here multiple times, would definitely recommend.
See my first review BUT here we are over a MONTH LATER and even though everything was left just as it was when we got there they are refusing to give my $100 deposit back.. it wasn't worth there original price we paid.. if this has happened to anyone else please let me know... looking to file class action law suit due to themimplying i didn't need the money bc I'm WHITE... im at a loss of words
Had a wonderful time at the Bayview Resort. We have stayed at several other hotels but nothing is Bayview. I just hate the elevators they suck. The other thing that sucked was in the 1 bed room with 2 balconies is you have the doors open the beds are right under the vents so water drips on you. Then the housekeeper we had was lazy our floor was greasy. My mother had a 2 bedroom ocean front I loved her room it was perfect so was her housekeeper lol. But other then that this is a wonderful resort I will be returning 5/27/2015
Check-in was a big hassle....big line to pull up to the building in the car (not enough room out front), big line to check in, room not ready on time. The only air conditioned areas in the entire building were the rooms themselves. There were constant long lines for the elevators. The concierge was only there to sell you "packages" for dining and entertainment. Parking was in a garage about a block away.
The rooms were nice, but everything else not so much. We had a nice ocean front room on the 12th floor. Clean room, full kitchen, washer and dryer.
A bit torn. Honestly the resort seems like it could be nice but the guests seem to trash it daily. The front desk crew is constantly mia and no one answers the phones. It is more a party hotel with adults wheeling in cases of beer with their 6 kids than what I would consider a nice relaxing resort.
Well let's start with it took us over and hour and a half to get check in remind you in the pouring rain at the time this was going on!!! With the very little cover they have to unload your luggage!! They only have about 6 carts for 18 floors to help get your belongings up to your rooms!!! They allow guest to keep them in there rooms over night so the ones leaving at early hours have none!!!! 2ND of all the staff at the unloading area and around the elevator area are not guest friendly at all!!! Frankly they where very right out rude!!!! Speaking of elevator's they only have 4 Small nasty stinky not at all air conditioning.... Wet floors at all times!!! The rooms were very nice and relaxing great veiw of the ocean!!! The cleaning service was great I guess considering we never ask them to come in the room to clean all we ask was for was towels and wash clothes etc. The balcony and the veiw was awesome if you could take the pot smell coming from other rooms and balconies!! 3rd the pool area is ok if you like staying inside the whole time... The place smells of clohrin and urine!! The public bathroom are disgusting!!! 4th NO Control over what comes from the guest balconies down to the splash pad area me and family was out enjoying the sun and pool a group of guest from the balconies was causing sean for everyone to be looking at them with all the yelling and cussing that was going on.. When someone from that balcony threw a peace of corn bread or cake at me as I was sitting in my chair at the splash pad!!! Went to the front desk told the lady about it nothing was done also told the pool guy about nothing was done about it!! So me and my family had to leave and go to our room for the rest of the day!! The next day went and talk to the security guard and still nothing was done about it!!! The security guard tells me they have no cameras on the balconies so more less it was my word against there's but the bread was still laying there 2 days later from where I was sitting!!! Come the night before we leave the air conditioning goes out in our room they have no tech there to service it so they were nice enough to locate us to fans for the night!! We speak to a couple of people as we are leaving one says they had no air for two days and one says they found bed bugs in there bed yes Bed Bugs is what I said!!!! Then the security guard are out front cause someone is throwing stuff off of the 18th floor!!! So you take your on chances of staying here!! The price on the condo's are unreal so for the price that we paid we should had better service and better parking.. that is another whole story!! Your parking is 2 blocks over in a parking deck that you share with another hotel that has 21 floors you can have valet parking 15$ day to get better parking just saying!! I only gave 2 stars cause the rooms were nice and roomy!!! But other then that they only deserve a one star in my eyes!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO STAY AT THIS MOTEL UNLESS YOU LIKE GETTING STUFF THROWED AT YOU OR TO SLEEP WITH THE BUGS!!! VERY UNHAPPY GUEST!!!!!!
The 2 bedroom suite we had was large enough for the 4 adults and 3 kids under 5. Breakfast was free and they offered a good variety hot and cold food. The pools were nice. They had 2 18 inch deep pools for little ones, 2 hot tubes, a 2 deeper pools. Some were covered. The is access to the beach and you can rent an umbrella and chairs. There is garage parking connected to the hotel. I would recamend this hotel! The ocean view room with a balcony to sit on was very nice!
It was a little rough overall and the rooms definitely weren't the best but to be fair they appeared to be remodeling. That and the smoking upstairs neighbor aside it was worth every penny for the great view. There's several restaurants close by and it's located close to the boardwalk.
We spent 2 days here and the room was so small. We also couldn't get the room cooled off and parking was a street away. You spend $300 plus you want to park closer to resort. elevator s took forever! Not worth the money go somewhere else
I wrote a whole response but I guess it didn't save. When we arrived here our room was hot & the thermostat read 74 so we set it on 71. The sheets on one of the beds looked as if someone had worn there shoes to bed & the bedding for the sleep sofa had a huge hole in it the size of a basketball. The counteracts & table appeared to be unclean as well. Some time went by & we noticed the room was still hot & the thermostat still read 74. I called the front desk & spoke with a guy that displayed absolutely zero customer service skills & was very condescending. He told me my issue sounded like a maintenance problem & since they were gone for the day I would have to call back tomorrow. I am still unsure as to why I would need to call back when I had already told him(front desk) the issue but anyway.....the next morning, I received a text asking about my stay which I explained again. No one ever responded nor came to fix any of the issues. Our stay was very uncomfortable especially having small children. Definitely not a place we plan to return to & will definitely advise friends & family against staying there
If u love walking out on your balcony smelling pot or better yet in the hallway mind you i had 2 small childRen with me yelling what is that smell... how about thick nasty hair in the green pool.. or washing dishes before use because they were never cleaned before arrival correctly.. or getting a bug bite after a crappy night of sleep that u get a rash over more than half of your body then this is the hotel for u.. me on the other hand will never return and will not recommend to anyone every again.
The WORST hotel stay EVER! Our room was dirty, the refrigerator and toilet leaked and maintenance (which entered without a mask or gloves) used the room s towels to clean up the leaks and set them outside the room door-they were there for two days. It took Housekeeping a day and a half to bring fresh towels and then they only gave us 3 sets and our stay was for a party of 6. front desk only offered us a free coffee -which we rejected because we wanted a clean room not something to drink, management NEVER called us(and a request was out in several times)
There were dead bugs under the chair and in the bathroom, blood on the walls, stained sheets, dirty counters in the kitchen and bathroom, dirty cups and utensils, coffee was left in the pot from previous family, legos and rubber bands on the floor...the list goes on.
At checkout we asked for a manger one last time(whom still was In available because he manages three different locations and hardly comes in) , and front desk apologized and said they could ve given us a new room, but since we booked via third party they would have had to give us a comparable room which was unavailable... we booked through the bayview website!!! So she lied just to try to cover herself... she said management would give us call even after check out and we have yet to receive a call!
Ppl complaining about the construction noise is too damn cheap to get ocean front. I suggest you check out the motel 6. They'll leave the light on for you. In the meantime I'll enjoy the peace and quiet of my oceanfront room
The website shows a restaurant and bar but there is none. The pools looked murky and the rooms were very old and dated. It was not at all what we expected. The only positives are that the staff was very friendly, the sheets smelled very clean (personal pet peeve) and it is right on the beach.
The worst experience I call several times to a talk with a manager was told manager was not in it was by far the worst experience I have ever had with booking a room
