Went there for an oil change can out with a dented fender car was parked outside for 20 mins very close to another car didn't see until I got home thanks bay ridge Subaru for your honesty

They had my Subaru for 4 weeks with transmission problems at 92000 mile and when I pick it up it had 3000 miles extra on the vehicle. I called back to ask who drove my car for those 3000 miles but they denied it and would not take responsibility for it saying they can drive it for testing. Just take a picture of your mileage before you drop your vehicle at this dealership to be on the safe side. Also I am not happy with the transmission repairs they did. The car is hard shifting. Also they forgot some electrical wiring hanging out under the steering wheel.

We couldn't be happier with our vehicle and the whole process with our agent, Peter. From the initial low pressure visit to ordering our new car exactly the way we wanted it, everything was very smooth and the communication was great. Typically, when you get to the point of financing, as a customer you tend to dread that part of the process. Even that was a low-stress event as I'm pretty sure I laughed and joked with the Finance Manager. Yes! With the FINANCE MANAGER. Overall an A+ experience with Bay Ridge. We only hope that our dealer here in Austin (we relocated) is even 75% as great.

I had a great experience with Bay Ridge Subaru s service team. They answered the phone quickly, I was greeted as soon as I arrived with my vehicle, and Michael checked in with me the entire time I was waiting for my service.

This was an extremely pleasant experience, and the customer service here was exceptional. I highly recommend using them!

Patricia was amazing. Incredibly patient, helpful, and very nice. She is very straight forward and honest. Patricia was the first dealer in my quest for a new car. I hadn't owned a car in years and was a bit nervous about purchasing a new vehicle.

Three month later I found myself back at bay Ridge Suburu frustrated by the other dealers I met. I realized patricia was the best. She ordered me the exact Forester I wanted and it came early! The signing was a breeze and I left knowing I not only had the right vehicle but did business with the best person. I should also mention that I was contacting Patricia throughout my car research and she was always so patient with me and answered all my questions.

I now have met other people who leased/purchased their cars from Patricia and they all have the nicest things to say about her.

We love our new car.

The recall and repair were accomplished efficiently. I enjoyed the use of a loaner during the service period. Mike did a great job coordinating the process. I was impressed that no one tried - or even suggested - that I consider buying a new car.

An excellent and comfortable car buying experience. The salesman, Joseph Teti, was personable and professional. All questions were answered and all concerns addressed. The entire experience was very satisfying, in addition to the fact that it appears we purchased a terrific car.

I promise you do not want to service your car here. Take the day off and drive to New Jersey or update to a different dealer. Only come here if you want to chase your service agent around a construction zone and yell to tell him why you are there. Was told over phone oil consumption test was free, was told by agent when I came in that cost was $125. You don t sit or even stand with agent you chase after as he notes and comments on every scratch in the body instead of talking to the customer as to why we are there. Opted not to leave my car here I m sure if you come here you will do the same. Another Customer had to return because the mechanic had taken apart pieces inside his car and hasn t replaced them.

They are not aggressive at all at the moment of negotiation.

The only problem was: the car wasn't very clean when I went to pick it up and they didn't put any gas in the car. Luckily I got to the gas station.

I had a great experience working with Christopher Malone at Bay Ridge Suburu..I have had a few cars and a few experiences but this one tops the cake. Chris was transparent, up front and super friendly. He was informative and inquisitive and was more concerned about make the sale and getting us into a car than he was about the money he was gonna make from the sale. The dealer makes or breaks the car buying experience so if your lucky enough to have someone like Chris walk you through the process, then your getting a heck of a deal (and an experience to boo). He had me in and out of there in 2 hours with a brand new car. I have to give it up to Charlie and Frank for being so knowledgeable about the cars and working with us to get the most of our experience. And big thumbs up to Roy for making the contract signing experience fast and painless. Overall, LOVED the experience and I do recommend. Shop Suburu

My first time having to visit this particular dealership was a great experience. I called because of a second round recall. I made the appointment and showed up a little early. Everyone I encountered was pleasant, smiling and friendly. They all seemed happy. A nice way to start your day. They also did a test to figure out why my engine light was on. It was a simple fix and they only charged me a % of the standard fee. I was very happy to get the good news. Based on all the courteous service and pleasant staff I would recommend people to utilize this for any of their subaru needs.

I brought my car in to fix my back windshield wiper which was no longer working. They looked at it and immediately it was considered to be covered by basic warranty. My service advisor, Pamela, was great through the intake to exiting process. She was very responsive to any of my questions. I will definitely be taking my car back to bayridge subuaru for future service and repairs.

Took my car in for basic service......Jonas and Alex were super nice and helpful. Walked me through my options and pricing. Even fixed a headlight that was damaged (no charge it was under warranty).

The got me in and out in a timely manner.

I brought my Subaru Forester 2013 in to fix a recall problem. A complete service was also done, they found that my car may of a leak of sort in the engine. Marc my service advisor took me aside and explained the situation. He wants to be sure, told me to come back in 2mths or a certain mileage to followed up.Marc, thank you for taking the time to communicate the information clearly. You are the BEST! also to your service manager the time before this he help to sort out my rear brake light cover at no charge my hats off to him. The quality of customer service is outstanding. Quality of work on my vehicle always met my satisfaction Marc, I am pleased and grateful for your phone calls and following up about my vehicle for the pass 5 years, you have been my service advisor.

Updated review. Not only did I have a wonderful experience purchasing my Outback here, the services have been a wonderful too. The employees are friendly and patient. They give me confidence in what they do, and always reasonably quick with the services. Simply put, I actually enjoy getting my Subaru serviced because I know it ll be positive.

The service was efficient and professional, and they provided a 2019 loaner for a recall that required overnight repairs. (an Outback SUV which drove very nicely)
The repairs were extensive at 30,000 miles, but I'm confident the maintenance will translate into a lot more carefree miles ahead.

I do caution to know your car before you bring it in, because there were repairs that were suggested which would have run a few hundred $ and were so minimal in nature as to be considered unnecessary.
For example, one suggestion was replacing the bar that holds the battery in place due to corrosion, plus a battery service. A toothbrush, and a small wire brush did a thorough job in 5 minutes, and I know the battery does not need any servicing.

I was surprised that after a major job, they didn't wash the exterior as a courtesy, or give me a voucher to have it washed, as is the custom w/ the Nissan agency where I service my other SUV.

Overall, I find the service here thorough and reliable, and would recommend it.

Let's start with this: We bought a used Outback from Bay Ridge Subaru. A few months later we took it in to have an oil change. We then took the car on an out-of-state trip, during which the oil drain plug fell out of the car (it had not been properly tightened) and the engine seized up and needed to be completely replaced.

If I could give Bay Ridge Subaru *negative* stars, I absolutely would. They're dishonest, slow, and incompetent. They seem to be simultaneously a) actively trying to screw me over, and b) too dumb to do a good job in the first place.

I wouldn't go here again even if it was the only mechanic in a thousand miles.

We've bought our car from this dealership in April 2018. The staff told us several times with a huge smile on their faces that the first oil check & filter replacement in 6 months will be "on US" (i.e. free to the customer). When my husband came in 6 months for the oil replacement the delareship charged him $170. When he asked why did they *promise* to do it for free, he was informed that "Oh no, you misunderstood us - we didn't mean it will be complimentary in 6 month, what we meant was that we gave you a warranty for 2 years - if your car breaks down within 2 years, we'll fix it for *free*" Umm, yeah right. They why did we BOTH remember the "6 months = complimentary" equation? Did we make it up? Or did the dealership LIED to us?

I hate being taken for a fool.

I regret we got involved with this dealership, to say the least.

Corey Middleton is a pleasure to work with. He beat the price of 3 leasing companies and another dealership. Before we signed the lease and after we signed the lease he's continuing to make sure we have everything we need.
Chris, who taught us the car, was very thorough and yet very patient with our questions.
Roy is a remarkable nice financial guy to work with.
We look forward to leasing or buying from Bay Ridge Subaru again.
One complaint: it took me 20 minutes on the phone (after a lengthy chat session that ended in them saying I had to call) to get Sirius XM radio off of my Forester. I had to convince them that I don't want a free trial of their crude humor and filthy language. I wish Subaru hadn't forced it on me to begin with.

Since buying our Impreza in 2015, we have been impressed with the service we've received. We are notified when it's time for periodic checks and services, When we go in for service, everything is explained very well, including costs. Because I bring our car in from Staten Island, I can wait comfortably in the customer area. The customer service rep and other staff people are always gracious and friendly. And, best of all, I never feel like I'm being sold on services I don't really need, as opposed to how I felt with our previous Hondas, Toyotas, Chevys, and Fords. Once the construction is finished there, I will give Bay Ridge Subaru five stars. :-)

We weren't ready to buy back then but Peter gave us all the time and attention we needed as we looked over the Forrester and the Outback. When we were ready to buy we came back to Peter and purchased the Outback. Peter is the ultimate professional. Knowledgeable, patient, and respectful of people's time. I came in on a Saturday morning for an almost forgotten oil change. I went in without an appointment for the express service. I nearly forgot I also needed an inspection. Everyone, including the mechanics, are polite and friendly. Marco at the service desk helped me right away. He was friendly and professional. He gave me a window of time for the work to be done, and kept checking on me to keep me informed of progress. I am always happy with the service here in general, and from him in particular. Maybe it's unfair to give them one star but here goes. I had a reasonably good salesman and did get a good deal. However, when my car needed some major body repairs, my experience with the service department was unbelievably bad - meaning, total incompetence, rank dishonestly and brazen stupidity.

So go a head and buy a car from them if you want, but you cannot trust these guy to fix your car.

I traveled from New Jersey to purchase a 2014 Crosstrek and I could not of been more happy with my experience at Bay Ridge Subaru. Anthony Grippo was my salesman. He was honest, straightforward and professional. There were no games or pressure. I spent all afternoon there because I wound up driving the car home avoiding a second trip to pick up the car. Besides Anthony, the manager Mike, finance manager, Roy as well as salesman, Joe made me feel comfortable and laughter was had throughout the afternoon. I highly recommend this dealership and I drove away extremely satisfied both with their customer service and price of the car.

I exclusively use this service center and have recommended it to my children and niece and nephew both of whom have purchased Subarus here. The reason I come back time and again is the professionalism and kindness of the service staff, especially Marc D'Ottario and the service manager. They are extremely accessible, friendly, answer all your questions and strive to accommodate you. I wouldn't bring my beloved Subaru's anywhere else. They have kept Ella (2007) running and in tip top shape along with my 2016 Crosstrek. Keep up the good work.
