Subaru on Cropsey Avenue was a wonderful experience . I came in to Subaru dealership with three problems first I had to get my tires adjusted because the light was on in the panel of my car so that alerted me that something was going on with my tires, I also needed an oil change and I had a screw missing from my car door. I called up and they gave me a appointment for the same day. I drove in and I was out of there in an hour..they were wonderful they gave me hot tea, cookies, and I was on my computer when the gentleman came in to tell me my car was ready to go. I love my Crosstrek. Thank you Subaru .

Please do NOT bring your car here for service. Dealing with the service department has taken years off our lives. We brought our new car (also brought there)in because there is something wrong with the moon roof. They scratched the rear bumper while they were checking it out. Moon roof aside , they tried to take the scratches off, they told us to bring it back at a later date so they can fix it. Today we brought it back. It took them OVeR 2 hours which they said would be only 1 hour. Whatever they did to fix the scratch made it worst! All that effort to bring it back and still have a mess of a bumper. I will give them a negative star if I can. So freaking frustrating

My 2014 Subaru Outback was recalled to replace a defective air bag inflator. I took the car to Bay Ridge Subaru to have the work done. Pamela, the Service Adviser, was very helpful and had no problem when I asked her to add on a NY State Inspection and an oil change. It saved me from having to make another trip to the dealer. The work was done on time at a reasonable price. Of course, there was no charge for the air bag inflator work. I have taken my Subaru to Bay Ridge Subaru many times and have always had a positive experience. Highly recommended.

Don't listen to the 5 star reviews, go on yelp and other online sources. This dealer is horrible. Drive further upstate or Long island. Avoid paying extra document fees as this dealer is incompetent and small. Took forever to get help and customer service was slow. 42 reviews of 2 star ratings on Yelp and look at all these 5 star fake reviews from their own staff. It's laughable at best. Have fun with sales.

The work is always done quickly and properly so I never have to go back for the same issue twice. The dealer keeps track of required maintenance like oil changes but does try to pressure me for more expensive checkups. Everyone is always friendly and polite.

Fast and efficient service. Up front they will tell you the wait time and it is always accurate or even surprise you because it is earlier than what they can predict, as long as there are no major repair needed.
Their lounge is comfortable, wifi is fast. Their restroom is always clean. :)

I had a short chat with Patricia (cashier), she is the sweetest. She walked the extra mile to offer my son some cookies because my son was tired and grumpy.

They added a new coffee dispenser with Starbucks products in it. I love the coffee and hot chocolate.
This place is always adding something to level up their customer service.

Easy to make an appointment online. Always on time. I don t know much about cars so who knows if they do a good job or not but the staff are helpful, diligent and efficient. When they put on my roof rack they put it over the sun roof (?!?) but next time I brought the car back they moved it when I asked them to. The subway station is just a 10 minute walk away so very convenient.They always answer the phone e and always keep you informed of what is going on.

The salesman called back, but I missed that call. Since then, he totally ghosted us!! We sent several emails, called at least four times, and he never returned our calls or emails. I've been looking for a Subaru Outback for a little over 1 year. I've been to several dealerships. I lost out on 2 good deals due to timing with work. Found this Outback on Cargurus. My sales rep was Joseph Teti. The entire experience was wonderful. Stress free, no garbage sales techniques, no hidden fees...Quick background on me... I was ready. I've done lots of sales in the past in different industries. I also sold cars for about 1 year. Plus the journey dealing with all the car sales guys from the past year. I was ready. So I went to this dealership, Saw the vehicle. It was packed in about 7 cars deep. Joe was kind enough to move all the cars so I can test drive it. I loved it. Pulled the trigger. Said I can pick it up anytime during the week. A few days later I came back and sat with their Manager Roy. He was easy to work with too. Offered me a warranty and a few options but I didn't need any of that. It was all hassle free. I gave a check and boom they gave me the keys. Also, one of their expert Subaru guys Chris gave me a walk through. Easiest and best experience I've had buying a car by far. Thank you Joe, Roy and Chris =)

I have never had an experience getting a car like this before. In the past,I would be totally stressed out especially when the salespeople put the pressure on. At Bay Ridge Subaru it was the opposite, I was completely relaxed and felt no pressure at all. Everyone was very friendly and made us feel at home. Our sales representative was a complete gentlemen and answered whatever questions my husband and I had. When our salesman, Cory, called to tell us that the car came in, he made an appointment for us to come when he could spend time with us to show us all the wonderful features of our Legacy. We are completely satisfied with the service and Bay Ridge Subaru and totally excited about getting used to all the things our Legacy can do.

Just picked up my new car! My whole experience from when my lease went into extension due to Covid to now has been fantastic. Cornelius "Corey" Middleton was so patient and helpful for months as I kept checking on pricing and bouncing between 2 models. This is my third Subaru. My first time with Bayridge and I have to say they are EXCEPTIONAL! Everyone there was so happy and friendly. Just a great experience. I highly recommend.

When I called to have my car inspected, at first the receptionist who answered the phone was not sure I could get my inspection done the same day, but then she spoke to someone who said come in immediately. I did and was very pleased, Kevin (I hope that's his name, he was at the service desk) was very courteous and welcoming. His customer service skills - wonderfully pleasant.
The gentleman at the parts window was also very pleasant and customer oriented, I listened to him speaking to a young man,( whilst I waited to buy a travel cup for my Forester) and despite the thousand and one questions the young man was asking, he maintained patience and answered his questions even finding information on the internet for him. In essence my experience for the first time in service was great, as I said I loved it. So I'll keep coming back for service to my Subaru.

When I came to see what was the problem I was shocked. Andrew in the service department turned a horrible situation into a wonderful one. My 2014 Subaru Outback was recalled to replace a defective air bag inflator. I took the car to Bay Ridge Subaru to have the work done. Went to Bay Ridge Subaru for routine maintenance. The service advisor, Marc, explained everything to be done before hand and told me the cost. The work was done within the the time frame quoted and the price was as quoted. This is the fourth time I have had my car serviced and my experience has always been excellent. Everyone at Bay Ridge Subaru is friendly, helpful and professional.

Only been here once, but they fixed our Subaru Outback and it was a surprisingly easy experience! (Although the subway isn't super close by, so getting back home and to there via subway isn't super convenient.)

As always, they try to upsell during service. Came in for a oil change when I first bought the car, and they offered me fuel injection cleaner/fuel treatment, at a ridiculously high price. Something that costs a few dollars at AutoZone and can be added to the engine oil, which takes 30 seconds, they tried to charge me a high price. I understand they make their money of off it, but not at a 600% markup. Sadly, they lost my business and will not be getting another Subaru when I return my lease. Even a 100% markup, would've been $10, but it was way higher than that. The salesperson was awesome and I was in and out with a new car quickly, but the service department killed it. Save your money, go to your own mechanic, save a lot of money. Just keep all the receipts when you sell/return it, and if they need documentation for warranty work, you have it.

I agreed to a comprehensive inspection and service package and left the car for the day. The car was ready in about four hours which I thought was good turn around since they are a busy operation. All the personnel at Bay Ridge Subaru are very friendly and helpful and I will continue to have my car serviced there in the future. I also like the on-line appointment system which is very convenient.

I dropped off my Subaru Outback here for an air bag recall. They sent me home in a very nice loaner car. And in addition to replacing the airbag they gave the whole car a once over. My car went into the shop with an annoying rattle that other mechanics said they couldn't fix (but didn't effect the reliability of the car) and came out sounding like new.

I am very happy with the service I received, and so long as I live in Brooklyn I will continue to bring my car here.

I own a Subaru and I needed an estimate for body work. I contacted Bay Ridge Subaru on a Tuesday to ask for an appointment and they said they would get back to me. When I hadn't heard from anyone by Thursday, I went online and booked an appointment. I indicated that I needed an estimate for body work.

When I arrived at the shop at the time of my appointment, the service coordinator told me I would not be seen because they weren't providing body work estimated on that day in particular. I expressed frustration with the lack of communication- someone could have called or emailed me in advance to cancel or reschedule. The service coordinator simply dismissed me without offering any suggestions to resolve the issue.

I took my business to another body shop in Brooklyn with much better customer service and communication.

This was my and my husbands first time leasing a car and we could not be happier. We went in having done a ton of research -- and along the way we'd heard stories galore about how car salespeople will pressure you, and how to handle it. That was the polar opposite of our experience. Corey never pressured us, he gave us advice based on our needs, listening carefully to all our questions and explaining everything in detail. He was not only thorough, clear, and candid, but he actually made the process fun. It felt more like talking to a trusted friend than a salesman -- you can't fake caring, and he cared. We are thrilled to be a part of the Subaru family will highly recommend this dealership and Corey in particular to all our friends and family.

I'd give zero stars, but it's not an option. I had a weird situation where I was leaving town but needed my car worked on. Marc Brown was my liaison and seemed so nice and helpful at first. I made special arrangements for a family member, who was relying on the car while I was away, to pick it up when it was done. I left the country with Marc's quote that the car would be done on a Tuesday, about 4-5 days after I had dropped it off. Sure.

Fast forward to when I'm on the other side of the world, I wrote to see how the car was driving and how things went - turns out the car was still in the shop, no call, no nothing. I wrote to Marc Brown to see what was up. Suddenly it will be TWO EXTRA WEEKS until the car is ready. Would I have gotten it serviced there had I known that? obviously not. Someone was relying on the vehicle to get to work. So, almost 3 weeks later (and a bill half the price of the car's value), it's not even done being fixed, still smells like burning ?? and it now makes a new weird noise.

Fast forward to when I am back in New York. I called back to see what was up with weird noises and smells, got Marc Brown, asked to speak to someone else because I was so done with him. He told me his manager would call me back because he was in a meeting. That was over a week ago. On their timeline, I guess I'll expect a call in mid summer. I'll head to Jersey next time I want Subaru to service my car. Easier than dealing with Bay Ridge.

Bottom line: only go here if you want them to keep your car hostage when people are relying on it, charge you a ton of money, and not even finish the job.

Purchased a new 2019 Legacy at Bay Ridge Subaru. Following many problems with other dealerships, the staff at Bay Ridge Subaru were outstanding. They were very respectful, hard-working, and informative. My sales rep Corey Middleton was very professional and was one of the best car sales reps I have worked with in a long time. He payed great attention to detail and made sure my purchase was just as I wanted it. Overall, it was a great and hassle-free experience!

Yeah, this is not a friendly or efficient service department. It is difficult to get an appointment and then when you come in they treat you rudely. Even if you are there for something simple (like a recall that should take 15 minutes, max) they want to keep your car all day.

When I feel like I need a dealer for something I now go up to Koeppel Subaru in Long Island City, where my experience has been fine.

Horrible customer service department, condescending, lying, ripping customers off. I needed to install some OEM accessories. When turning the car in, I was told it may be up to 3 hours of labor at rate $99 per hour, though my estimate was at most one hour of labor. I questioned the estimate and was told not to worry since that was just an estimate. Less than an hour an a half later the car was ready. Charge? Three hours of labor. I contested the three hours - the work was done much faster and could be done only by one person, and how come it was exactly 3 hours of labor and not, say, 15 minutes less? The answer? I had agreed to 3 hours of labor and thus I was charged 3 hours of labor...

The service here is courteous and unparalleled. I was warned several times by different people that buying a new car from a dealership would be incredibly difficult, but the guys here made it a breeze and never made me feel like I was being pressured or pushed into buying things I didn't want or need. They did everything they could to make my first new car everything I wanted. Granted, I did a lot of research into prices and the car options, but I walked in expecting having to haggle and compromise. I didn't have to do any of that. Cornelius made it super easy to explain what I wanted and what I didn't and he offered solid advice without prejudice. I managed to walk in and get a car ordered in one day and picked up in a week. The guys from the finance and delivery team made picking up the car and adding last minute options so simple and they made sure I knew my car's ins and outs. Without this team, I know my car buying experience could have been much different, but thanks to them I'm a proud owner of a brand new 2018 Subaru and haven't had a single regret about it. The follow up contact is A-plus as well, they really make you feel like family and not just another customer. If you're thinking about buying a Subaru, this is the place to do it.

This place is the greatest! I bought my Subaru there in 2011 and used to get it serviced there. Over the years I got lazy and started just bringing it to my neighborhood guy when something went wrong. More recently, it was something big (catalytic converter) and I just had a feeling that my mechanic was out of his league (he diagnosed broken computer system which just seemed a little vague). So I took it in to BRS and got a proper diagnosis, excellent car and customer service, and it was covered under the warranty! ALWAYS go to the dealership and if you have a Subaru, always go to Bay Ridge they are professional, honest, no-bs, no scamming or up selling, very cool people. I have been helped by Mark, Andrew, and Pamela and every time they have gone out of their way to be helpful and make car stuff easy and smooth. If you are sick of wondering, is this dude ripping me off? do yourself a favor and take your car to Bay Ridge Subaru. Don t settle for less, these guys are the best.

I left work early to see if my Subaru dealership could diagnose this for me and possibly schedule a day for me to come back.
