I could not have had a better experience and I could not be more pleased with our new vehicle!

The parts department was wonderful in locating the correct parts needed for my S class turn signal light. It was a bit difficult knowing which parts were needed but they were helpful and found the correct parts for me that was a perfect fit. The only minor issue was their parts department was not easy to find on the map.

On the one month anniversary of the purchase of o...

On the one month anniversary of the purchase of our new Mercedes, I think back to the superb handling of every aspect of our purchase from Helms Bros Inc. Thank you Sir Jeffrey Stampler for your excellent salesmanship and attention to every detail. I used the title "Sir" because Mr. Stampler is such a gentleman. From the moment I walked in to the moment I drove of with a gifted rose for my wife , the customer service was the best I ever experienced. In the month to follow Helms Brothers Inc. has followed through with correspondences relating to every concern one could have after the purchase of a new vehicle. I am enjoying the new ride and looking forward to enjoying great customer service.

This was our first time shopping at Helms Bros Bay...

This was our first time shopping at Helms Bros Bayside. My mother was looking for a new car an upgrade from her 17 year old car. This was a big change and our Salesman Michael Lana was beyond helpful and patient. We test drove two different cars and ended up with the second test drive. Michael was very informative explaining all the features and differences between the cars all the while asking my mother what she prefers in a car so he can help narrow down the choices. He immediately informed us of the promotions going on for each car and told us he would try work with us for the price range we were looking for. He dedicated majority of the his day to my family and made the process literally effortless. I have been to many dealerships in my life and this was the easiest dealership I have visited to purchase a car. I highly recommend them and Michael Lana for their customer service and professionalism.

I'm a resident of Korea and I like the kind explanation. However, when they enter the store, most employees don't look at them or know them. Not all Mercedes dealers do that. It's a shop where many Koreans live and many Koreans will visit it.

I had come into the dealership just starting to shop around Kelvin kindly greeted us and answered all our questions we then decided to leave because we had just began our search. Kelvin had called me a week later to follow up with me and that shows a person really cares about your business. I drove down from Albany the next day (where I work) and experienced the best experience from beginning to end. Kelvin set us up with a test drive and sure enough I was sold. At the actual time of delivery he took his time to explain and show me features of the vehicle. I highly recommend anyone looking for a great experience and customer service to go see Kelvin at Helms Bros. Mercedes

Negative star for the 2 receptionists. These 2 you...

Negative star for the 2 receptionists. These 2 young ladies were extremely rude. When I walked in they did not greet me but they stared at me like Im penniless who can not afford a car there. I told them I wanted to take a look at the sedans but not sure what model I like. They then looked at each other and from their facial expression I can tell they do not welcome me there. Very arrogant receptionists with 0 respect for customers.

Nice place. I was greeted by the receptionist who called someone to help me. I had the pleasure of talking to Mike Altamura who was great. I honestly threw on some sweats and a t-shirt that I didn't iron lol and took an Uber over there. He treated me like how we all want to be treated....Like a person and not a dollar $ign. He took his time and went over all of my questions. He showed me cars and told me about all the features. We sat down and went over numbers. I felt no pressure at all. He was a professional, straight shooter and had a great personality. A very cool guy. A1 Service.

We came in here looking to buy a new car. The sales team consists of cut throat salesmanship that is borderline insulting to the client. Within first five minutes, I found myself being pressured into narrowing down on the exact model without being given adequate information such as pricing or the trade in value of my current Benz. After I asked if the price was negotiable, the salesman called his manager who rudely asked me if ever owned a Mercedes? (I don t know if this was rhetoric or ignorance as I was trading in a Benz). I moved to a much more honest and a more courteous dealership found at Rallye Motors Long Island where I got a great deal on multiple cars.

The service at this dealership is excellent. Andrew Han, a sales associate, was able to answer all of my questions and assisted me with any information about the car I was looking to purchase. Ms. Lang, the sales manager, made sure that I was going to get a car that I was happy with. Her first priority was making sure that I got the car I was looking for and that I was happy with my purchase.

I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a new Mercedes to visit this dealership.

My experience at Helms Bros. Service Center was superlative! Richard Grein and all of the staff are very professional; extremely attentive, friendly and courteous. The service on my vehicle, a 1996 C220 was performed promptly and was returned to me immaculate, inside and out! The waiting area and amenities are also a nice plus.

Jason, Best sellsperson ever. I went to 4 different dealers and they all try to low ball me. once I got to the room and the price went sky rocking. Finally I found this place and had Jason as my sell rep. He is so honest. Told me everything up front. Nothing changes when I got to the room. I'm so satisfy, I took the deal instantly. I'm driving out tomorrow. Never had such great experience shopping for a car. I will definitely recommend Helms Bros Mercedes to all my friends and have Jason as the salesperson. thumbs up, 5 stars rating.

My first Mercedes purchase and it was a winner. Mikey Mercedes made the transaction so easy and he delivered a great car, everything and more than he promised and it was a pleasure to deal with him. I did not get any of the sit for two hours while the sales person checks with their manager and then the number and deal changes, like I got at Freeport BMW and Millinium Honda on past purchases. . I highly recommend this dealership and see Mikey. He will make sure you drive out with the car of your dreams.

Bought a CPO 2016 MB SUV from Helms Bros pre owned dept. Dont publicly post often but the experience was superb. My first benz, love it and the service is 5 star. Had an issue with the car that was an easy fix but delayed me transporting it, and they were kind enough to help me out with the additional unexpected expenses. Salesman Michael Lana very responsive even after the sale, and would not hesitate to buy or recommend to someone else.

If I could give no stars, I would. You cannot reach a person on the phone when dialing the number. In fact, when you choose an option to talk to someone, you are looped back in to choose someone to talk to, and eventually you are hung up on. This is unacceptable for an organization that is reputed to be a service-oriented organization.

It was my first time leasing a car of any kind and...

It was my first time leasing a car of any kind and I was very pleased with the level of service, especially from my dealer, Herman Ospina. He was pleasant and kind, helpful and always did his best to answer all questions I had. There was a small issue with the arrival date of my leased car but he solved the problem for my very readily and I was extremely happy with the prompt arrival of my car.

I've emailed a couple of times with questions and Herman's always replied within the hour. I also received a number of phone calls and emails, both from the secretary at Helms Bros and from the Technician that will be in charge of all maintenance of my vehicle. This is definitely the level of service I expect from a Mercedes Benz dealership.

1st service was ok, the second time i was told to ...

1st service was ok, the second time i was told to come pick up the car, "the car was not ready"....waited half hour....still not ready....1 hour later the guy(asian...forgot his name) went down to see and guess what they still were working on the car...then i peaked at the camera that usually shows the guys working on cars down in the garage...by this time i was the only one left in the dealership...the front desk girls had left too...finally about 1.5 hours later, my car comes up and guess what it looked dirtier than i had left it and was not washed because the wash guys had left by this time...no apologies and did not give me the receipt that service was done...the asian guy says he will mail it to me...still waiting till this day!

I bought my previous Mercedes from another dealer and when I was in the market for a new one I was recommended to Peter Fearon at Helms. He was very personable and extremely knowledgable about all of the vehciles, their engines and specifications, options etc. No hard sell or pushy sales cliches. We didn't buy the first time we went when he showed us few models. We then shopped at other dealers and priced out the car I wanted - an E250 diesel. When we went back to Peter he gave us a lower price than the other dealers and it was a comfortable negotiation. I would highly recommend him and Helms to anyone interested in a new Mercedes.

I leased my first Mercedes here and had a great experience so when it was time to renew I made sure I went back to the first place. I was disappointed at first that my original sales rep was no longer there but was pleasantly surprised when they assigned Manny Rodriguez to me. While I was with Manny he showed me all of the cars that I was interested in and he understood the budget that I had. He worked hard to get my what I wanted at the price that I was comfortable with. He was warm and genuine and I felt that I was in good hands with him. Everyone that I interacted with was very personable. It was getting late and everyone was heading out and they kept asking me if I need anything (water, coffee, juice or a snack) Do not hesitate to head over to Helms bros and ask for Manny he was great!

Mercedes dealerships have mixed reputations for honesty and integrity. While Helms is not spoken of badly, buying a car at Helms was at first a perplexing experience but turned out to be exactly as I wanted.



I returned to the dealership the evening of 12/19. He had me execute a purchase agreement (for a well below sticker price) that did not include the time-of-the-essence provision, but that listed all the specific features of that particular vehicle. His associate, Gregg Weiss, ran my credit report which came back 'approved'. However, simultaneously, another sales rep at Helms sold that specific car to another buyer. So I had a particularized purchase order, approved credit and no car.

Peter now had to locate an identical car and it took him more than one week to deliver the car. This one came new from a Boston dealership. The sale closed on 12/29/2014 as I had wanted. Hence, the dealership bent over backwards to provide to me a car I wanted and in the time I wanted. I could ask for nothing more and the car is spectacular.

Lastly, I chose Helms for this purchase because they have a world class parts department that helps me maintain decades old cars. That's why I list Paul Brzozowski who knows every part of every car as the reason I chose Helms for this purchase. Helms earned my business over many years.

I had the best experience of my life from the minute I walked in the door. Kathleen Baade from sales and sales manager Gregg Cadwallader made you feel like you were working with lifelong friends. This continued with Gregg Weiss who was able to get me incredible financing. I have bought many great cars from many dealerships but Helms Brothers made me feel like i was out with good friends. From General Manager Suzanne Manager down this is a great place to buy a great car.

Horrible got dupped went for a test drive and bought the car thinking I was getting what I drove it turned out none of the features were included so basically got a shell with a big screen. It's my Fifth Mercedes with them I thought it meant something but I learned that doesn't matter to them. Never again will deal with that dealership helms bros. Mercedes.

First this is the 3rd car I purchased from Helms Brothers in Bayside I can not say enough about this dealership the staff from the minute you walk in are so nice and professional you feel very special when you walk in. I have changed my mind on the last car I purchased wanted something a bit larger Frank my salesmen is amazing. He listens and is always willing to help.He works with you making appointments and is always willing to answer any questions. Frank always returns your calls and his personality is a pleasure. Adam in finance is also very professional and always willing to answer and explain any question that come up. My first car lease and Helms Bros far exceeded any of my expectations. I had been to other dealerships and they did not come close to the professionalism, knowledgable base that JEFFREY STAMPLER has. Ask for him by name. You won't regret it!! He walked me through the leasing process and worked together to get to a price that beat the rest. I signed the same day all thanks to Jeff. And to top it off, after the sale-- he continues to be present and consistent for any future concerns. I got a sidewall tire flat tire on run-flats and he walked me through the process and got me an appt w/ the service ASAP to get it changed. The service center on station road was an equally amazing experience. MB especially JEFFREY STAMPLER and Helms is unbeatable. Ask for Jeff...he's the absolute best!!

On Feb. 13th, I dropped my car off for the ai bag ...

On Feb. 13th, I dropped my car off for the ai bag recall correction. This was the 3rd time I had contacted Helms Bros. since I was told before they did not have the parts. A week later the air bag malfunction sign came up again. I made an appointment to have it checked and at the same same time to change the oil (B1service).
I picked up the car at the end of the day and noticed the odometer indicating 140.5 miles. I called the service coordinator the next day and was told they do drive the car to make sure the software works fine and the message does not appear again. I was really surprised to hear they drove the car that long. Should I be informed before or after? Has anyone gone through this?

Helms Bros. in Bayside has become a home away from home. Since my last review, I have purchased and leased three vehicles. A GLK 350 for my father, a E350 for myself were purchased and a GLK350 was just leased for my wife. The vehicles are just that, vehicles... safe, dependable and above all, Mercedes-Benz! You know your family is safe on the road when all the distracted drivers out there are lurking, or when you are driving alone, tempting the speed limit on a clean stretch of freshly paved highway asphalt! Now, the dealership... the dealership is what counts when you make a purchase AND when you service your vehicle. I can whole heartedly say, without a doubt, that if it were not for the people that are there for me, I would not be taking the time to write this review. You hear it again and again; They treat you like family... blah, blah, blah... but I'm telling you.. they treat you like family!! From the minute you walk in, to the minute you drive off, to the minute you service your vehicle(s), to the minute you do it all over again! I have never, in my life, been treated so well. If you are in the market for a vehicle, do yourself a favor and go to Helms! I did it years ago and haven't given it a second thought since! Go see Mikey for sales, Carmine for service and tell them Pete the Greek sent you! See you down the road...

Adam in finance is incompetent and unprofessional. He says that he will return your calls and NEVER does. He is quick to take your money but is ever so elusive when it comes to receiving a credit. Almost not worth the hassle. Went to have my back bumper serviced and brought in my other benz to receive ceramic tinting. They didn't want to give us a loaner car so I took my car and had it ceramic tinted elsewhere at half the price. They just lost out on business. Called me a week later to return the loaner car that I never had?! Not too organized. Great place to buy a car but would never suggest servicing it here, unless of course it is covered.

Andrea Kass is a top notch sales consultant! John Kunz sealed the deal and I was happy! I spontaneously walked in one Saturday and left with a contract. I cannot say enough about Andrea but thank God for a confident, strong woman that knew her job. If it weren't for her I wouldn't be sitting in my beautiful car. You're the best Andrea and John!!

Everything that I was promised came through perfectly. Unfortunately, the car overheated within the first 700 miles and had to be repaired. I was so pleased with the service I received from MB in Atlantic City and Helms Bros. I got a new loaner, they repaired it in a timely fashion and then flat bedded my new car back to NY. Great Job!

This was my second lease at Helms Bros. Both times Jeffrey Stampler was my sales help. I was pleasantly surprised my first time and even more surprised the second. Jeffrey was wonderful. I could not believe how quickly I got my car. It usually takes a half day for all the paperwork to get completed. With the second lease most of the paperwork was done before I got there. When I did arrive, I blinked and I was finished. The service center was not painful either.

When I got tired of the antics of the DC Metro area dealers, I decided to check out of area dealerships. In researching, I came across Helms Brothers in Bayside, New York.

Through a referral, I reached out to an outstanding salesperson, Manny Rodriguez. He knows about every vehicle he sells, very professional, attentive and leaves no questions unanswered.

It was a pleasure to have worked with Manny in regards to my GLA 250 lease. He is a valuable asset to Helms Brothers. He went way above and beyond to find me the perfect vehicle on my timeline and price range.

Hard to believe that a dealer has awesome deals in NYC, but it's true and worth every mile to drive a little to save a lot!!!

I will definitely consider Helms Brothers for future automotive needs. Thanks again!

5 Star review for Mike Altamura and Jack from Helms Bros. Mike gave me a number even before coming to the dealership and that's the number that I walked away with. Mike was very professional and his only concern was getting my into the perfect car at an amazing price!

The wait time can be a little long at first but it's well worth the wait. Very pleased with my 2019 C300, looking forward to doing more business with Helms Bros.

He was so attentive and through with everything and he even came out on his off day to hand me the car personally.
I recommend to all to look for Jason if you ever in need of Benz.

The only reaso i gave 2 stars is because the place is clean and looks nice. As soon as i walked in i was not greeted in anyway..i had to look for some one to speak with. They then sent me a salesman, now i cant blame the whole staff because of one person but my whole experience was ruined there. I started off by telling her i had some questions today and i was not sure of buying yet..as soon as she heared me say im not ready to purchase it sort of just turned off a switch for her..pretty common from a person making comission..she then went and gave me a brochure and walked me out the door..i mean who does that? Atleast give me a brief tour of the vehicle get me interested in the car. Anyway i then went off to another mercedes dealership to purchase an E-class because of this experience i had.

Herman- Completely disrespectful and unprofessional. Upon walking into the dealership Harmon was appointed to my brother and I as our salesman, he rushed us to his desk and didn t let us sit down. In a very rushed and dismissive manner he gave us numbers for vehicles while standing, and after we mentioned a deal from a Mercedes of Brooklyn advertisement, he told us to leave and go there. A completely awkward, unpleasant, disrespectful experience. I will not be back to this dealership. Rockville, Massapequa, and pretty much any other Mercedes dealership have offered me an incomparably better experience.

Nice staff but not a good experience purchasing a vehicle for my wife. Poor communication and service on follow up and expectations should of been better. Messed up our paperwork as well.

Not good overall but they are nice people. I don't want to be placed on hold for over 10 minutes when we have a customer sat issue and they did not even know my wife was on site to get the ore-owned car fixed at the service station kept telling me she left not accurate she was there for over 2 hours. Only Dennis listened and resolved with the correct communication. Again nice staff ....

I met Kathleen Baade and get Her manager Jean Charvet at Mercedes Benz Helms Bro at Northern Blvd, Fresh Meadow , NY back to Dec 2016.
I was interested on leasing Mercedes CLA250, and I explained to her that s the first time I was going through leasing for the 1st time in my life and I asked her to explain all the details to me before I sign any paperwork.
She explained to me the run flat tires and she explained to me these tires has a high chance of exploding that s why she recommended a tire insurance, I told her I want a regular tire with regular rims, she said ok let s do it. Then I signed the lease agreement and I picked the car on Dec 3rd,2016.
On Late February 2017 I had my left front tire exploded suddenly so I pulled over I opened my trunk and I looked for the spare tire and I didn t see it, I was mad and I called Kathleen and she said with a very silly sound that you can drive the car back from NJ to NY on 40 miles speeding, and fought with her on the phone , I left the car at Mercedes NJ dealership to change the tire and I paid $350 and I went on the second day to pick up my car then I called her and she sent me a $500 gift card to calm me down cuz she knew that she mislead me and she knew that I signed the contract after we agreed on a regular tire.
You can imagine I drove the car 34000 miles in 3 years and I ve changed almost 35 tires in 3 years.
One Sep 2017, I had an accident and I called my insurance to cover the accident cost they said my insurance was stopped a week ago,because Mercedes Benz didn t send the lease agreement, I called Kathleen and I fought with her on the phone and she tried convincing me that it was not her mistake, and I paid over $3000 out of my pocket to fix the car.
I was disappointed and disparate of CLA250 and I decided that I am not going to deal with them anymore.
My lease contact ended on Dec 3rd 2019, on Early NOv 2019 I called Mercdes to get a pre inspection report.
When the technician came he told me about the penalty if I am not leasing from Mercdes any more and told me about the extra miles that I have to pay for it.
I called Kathleen and her Manager Jean but both of them was trying to convince me that the only way to not pay the return fees was getting another lease from Mercdes.
Which I told them I don t trust your guys any more and If I would be interested in Mercdes I would do it without your guys twisting arm.

Summary for the Story,

1- I asked for regular tire and she gave me run flat tire which I paid over $5500 of tires changing in 3 yrs.

2- she didn t explain to me anything regards the lease return fee $595.

3- they gave me mileage limits of 10000 miles per year and I drove 4000 miles more so I paid close to $1200 extra for mileage by the way the regular lease in any company is 12000 miles per year.

4- she didn t sent the lease contract to the insurance company so when I had an accident I paid it out of my pocket which cost me $3000

5- total of the amount paid $ 10200 that on the top of the lease payment.

My advice, Don t buy Mercdes products at all and if you do, Don t deal with Mercdes Helms Bro at Long Island.
Please spread the word and warn others of Mercdes product and their employees,
I am going to file complaints at Mercdes home office. I am going to fight till the end!

I have been a very loyal costumer for 10 years and leased 6 cars with them. 2 months ago I explained to my sales rep, Jeffery Stampler that I wanted to lease a new car but my budget had changed and I needed to lower my monthly payments. He came back to me with an offer for a lower class car than what I already had with the same monthly payment! After I explained again that I needed a lower monthly payment, he said there was nothing available at this time. I then threatened to go elsewhere since I have been a loyal, long term costumer, I was insulted that he couldn't help me. He immediately found a CLA without the premium package for the price I was looking for. He acted like he moved mountains to get this deal. Since I really needed to lower the payments yet still wanted to drive a benz, I accepted the offer. At the time, I didn't realize what an inconvenience it is not to have the keyless go and with no 4matic, Im now worried about winter. As a loyal customer for almost 10 years, I think they should have been able to downgrade me into a CLA with premium package and not make me jump through hoops. Instead, I have a downgraded car with NO premium package and I'm only saving $100 per month! This will be my last car with Helms! After I gave a low rating on the survey, the rep emailed me asking for feedback. When I explained, he told me that he had other clients who were on a budget and referred them to Volvo as if implying that I can't afford a benz!! I HAD A C300 with 4matc, premium package and panoramic sunroof for $550 per month. They put me in a CLA NO 4matic, NO premium package and NO panoramic roof for only $100 less per month and they call that a deal??? I regret signing that contract!
