Very unhappy of the wait time for an oil change .....

Very unhappy of the wait time for an oil change .. waited almost 2 hours !
Prior to arriving at dealer shop called and was informed that we could just come anytime for oil change , upon arrival was informed shop that Services trucks only has hours Monday - Friday ?? The supervisor or manager on duty did state they could take care of us .. kudos to him but the service tech did not inform on the length of wait time ...

The truck I had got totalled (sister in law had stroke while driving she is recovering and nobody got hurt). I had it taken to Basil where the insurance company wrote it off as totalled. I went there on a Saturday morning to retrieve personal items from the truck asked them if they had any used Ford Expeditions they said no but they could find me one and within an hour I had purchased it (2016 limited). It was a great experience. I picked it up Wednesday and couldn't be happier about it. The staff was amazing, friendly, and very professional, if I could give them more than 5 stars I would.

I've owned the vehicle for one year and neither Ford nor Basil would stand behind their warranty on a product failure that manifested a couple months after the original warranty expired. I was also persuaded to purchase an extended warranty based on multiple representations by a Basil rep that it was a comprehensive warranty. The representative has failed to contact me to discuss.

Very disappointed in the service and failure to follow up.

Dropped my vehicle off for an oil change. Upon checking in, I was asked if I wanted to have the vehicle inspected, as it was due end of November...sure. I was also asked if I wanted a complimentary car wash...sure. Well, got a phone call that car needs front brakes and rotors and a filter...cost, over $400.00. Nope...I'll get this done elsewhere....and no car wash. SMH

I am disappointed with the service department this...

I am disappointed with the service department this evening. I arrived at 5:18pm requested an oil change and a state inspection. They took my truck and disappeared. My truck was not finished, paid for and me leaving until 7:24pm. And the service department was NOT busy. I don't know that I will ever be back for routine work. All that was wrong with my truck. . . A windshield wiper. . .

I normally do not write reviews, but felt the need to after the horrible service we encountered at Basil Ford Buffalo NY. We drove from Pittsburgh Pennsylvania to purchase a vehicle for a moving company, it was a done deal the sales man was making an easy commission. we understand it wasn't an easy walk-in walk-out situation due to plates for another state but we had rented a one was car rental to drive the vehicle back also had to stay the night in a hotel because the time it would take to process the plate an tile documents that we totally understood. But when we asked if we could get a ride to the car rental to return the rental it was met with not regard an then had to ask several times for the vehicle to be washed at one point they only washed one side it was a very aggravating situation an felt as if all the salesman cared about was the commission not the customer because he had already made his commission an at that point we didn't exist. Not that we wanted any special treatment but come on you cant have a courtesy driver fallow us to the car rental while we wait or properly see that the vehicle was cleaned. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SERVICE WE RECEIVED!!

Excellent customer service from Jose who thoroughly explained things to me and helped me to become more knowledgeable regarding my vehicle, maintenance needs and purposes. Also deacribed signs of problems to observe for which might indicate immediate problems, in which case I can call him and get a timely diagnostic service and resolution plan. Felt very comfortable and that I received person-centered service that I can trust in.

Had my explorer into the collision shop after someone rear ended me. Tim and Mark could not have been more helpful and courteous. They laid out my timeline for repair, set me up with my rental car and followed through on everything just as they said they would. Highly recommended collision shop here in WNY with great people working for them.

I wrote a post 4 days ago with one star disappointed. I personally Thank, Mark and his team at basil body and collinson, for helping me take care of the paint on the headlight. They went beyond my costumer expectation they did take the time to correct the body lining and polished the light the painter did an excellent job on the paint and the finish .thank you basil ford of Cheektowaga for taking the time to help.

Basil Ford has never disappointed me with anything...

Basil Ford has never disappointed me with anything..from buying the vehicle to the service always top notch. I have been a customer for 6 years and see no reason to want to change. I travel 45 minutes 1 way to have my truck serviced but it's worth it to me. It's always busy but you never feel like a number the service department is always in and out with updates and gets you in and out in a timely manner.

Very happy with the service today. Dave Bova worked with me today when I came in for new tires. When I arrived Dave advised me that 5 other customers had come in for tires ahead of me and it would be a long wait. My car would get taken care of but he recommended taking the shuttle home. When I asked if I could make an appointment to come back due to having a baby sitter at home only for the morning, he worked with his manager to get me taken care of in just a few hours rather than waiting most of the day. Thank you for helping me get the work I needed done in an efficient time frame.

Everyone was very pleasant. No one pushed me or made me feel pressured to get excessive work done. They did offer a free car wash but I don't think it was done. I didn't worry about it because it was free anyways. I was grateful that Bob let me know it was due for inspection, otherwise I may have been late getting it done. Thank you!

Basil Ford, For the last couple of days I have been driving from Winnipeg Manitoba to Buffalo, my new Ford Edge had a problem with the lights. On low beam they cut off at about twenty feet and on high beam, they upset on coming traffic. Driving into Basil Ford Service, I was met at the entrance by a friendly guy and I explained my concern, within five minutes a mechanic was doing his charm on the lights, all is good. Many thanks to the Basil Ford crew for your assistance, a great team.

Service is a joke. They do not call you or return calls when they have your vehicle. They don t clean their mess they make in the vehicle they re fixing. They break parts and don t tell you unless you confront them.

After my car was hit in an accident, Basil took great care of me. Mark Pronobis went out of his way to make sure that I got a courtesy loaner and that I wasn t inconvenienced. The work was thorough and well done, in a timely manner. Basil worked with the insurance company directly and kept me out of the middle, while still making sure that I was kept up to date on what was happening. I couldn t be happier with the service that John Hayek and Mark Pronobis provided. I highly recommend Basil Ford to anyone who needs collision service, repair service, or even to purchase a vehicle.

Charlie S (sales) and Don B (finance) were awesome!!! From start to finish, very personable, courteous, and understanding. My husband and I swore we would never go anywhere other than West Herr for a used car, but Basil Fords buying experience was fantastic. Rarely post a review, but these guys did a terrific job and deserve some acknowledgement.

Special thanks to Tammy decker in the truck service department. I recently bought a $55,000 f350 supper duty from town Ford in orchard park in November an sense then the truck has need some electrical work or so I thought. They told me I need a second battery an a larger alternator an that they'ed get back to me . Called them 20 times an they give me the same run around about how there looking into it. Also stopped in an talked to there service manager an he gave me the same Bullshit story an told me they'ed have it figured out in 2-3 days an they would get back to me . 3 weeks later an still no call . Finally get pissed an go to basil Ford tell Tammy decker what happened to me an she puts my info In here computer an 2 seconds tell she knows right what needed to be done . They brought me in ,reprogrammed my computer with a special program an my problem is solved without spending $1800 . Thank u vary much Tammy decker at basil Ford an the rest of the staff at basil Ford ,u guys are awesome.

Always a hassle with the service department. Alway...

Always a hassle with the service department. Always waiting longer than promised or rushing the job and creating more problems While changing an O2 sensor they broke the sensor off in the catalytic converter. I understand while some unforeseen situations arise, giving me a factual repair timeframe and good communication is important. Now I'm waiting longer and wasn't offered a discount on the repair due to their carelessness. They did provide a free rental vehicle. Thank you for that!

terrible service, liars, and more

Edit: I emailed and never got a response. Thats probably a canned response.

-Always an attempt to bill for me in warranty/maintenance items.
-I have taken my car in for a list of items and my car is returned to me with nothing fixed
-Even over the phone they never note everything i say i need done when scheduling.
-You guys have broken my license plate frame light and tried to glue it back. (west herr ford fixed it and i had to pay for it)
-I took my car in for a checkup from sound from the rear, they told me i had scratched my bumper so its going to cost to look at it because its most likely not warranty (Westherr looked at it and called me back in 2 hours to tell me my shocks were bad, fixed under warranty for free)
-I was told that i couldn't transfer my maintenance, "its locked to this dealership". West herr accepted it. So either someone is lying, or u dont know what your selling.
-The list goes on...

If I could give a lower rating I would. I purchased a car there 45 days ago (the reason I know it was 45 days is because my temp reg is up). Since purchasing the vehicle there have been numerous mistakes in handling plate surrender, registration, and getting me the 2nd key to the car. I had to get new plates on this car so the dealership was suppose to turn in my plates from my trade into DMV for me but apparently the salesman failed to give them to the person who handles that and instead of being turned in right away they were returned a over a week later which caused an insurance lapse and ended up causing DMV to fine me for the lapse. They were suppose to send me a check to cover the fine- a check that never came. I was suppose to go back the next day to pick up the 2nd key to my car but somehow it was not there when I went back in and now I have to have one made. Now that my temp reg is up I called to ask why I haven't received the reg and the salesman says he doesn't know and that department is closed so he will call me in the morning it is now after 1 and no call, so I call and talk to that department and they say they mailed it yet I do not have it. So now they have to order a new one. So in the mean time I am to drive without the registration or pay for a temporary copy from DMV, while they get me a new one. Oh and now I apparently owe them additional money as they calculated the registration fee incorrectly. What a joke. I like my car but never would I go there. My family always used a different dealership but I didn't want to drive the hour away to look there so I thought what harm can be done in going to one closer to work? Boy was I wrong. Never again.

He will address and followup on any and all concerns and/or questions. He is honest and wants you to be happy with your purchase...you are not just a sale to him. Bad service, not really looking out for the best interest of the customer, greedy. Left my car there to be worked on that day, and sat for days with them just makimg excuses as to why they didnt get to it yet. Not honest. Will never buy a car from them again

The sales person was not pushy at all. He gave me honest feedback about the pros and cons of the used vehicle I was looking at. He also made sure anything I pointed out as an issue with the vehicle was repaired on them. I wanted to come in for another test drive and he offered to come and help me on his day off. I'm used to dreading car shopping and going into dealerships with my guard up, but these guys were so accommodating and honest.

As always, I got the best service at Basil Ford on Walden Avenue. EVERYONE from Hannah who calls me to remind me of my appointment, to the salesmen that I run into while I'm there and especially the great employees in the service department ALWAYS makes me feel welcome. :) I chose to drive 1 and 1/2 hours in order to have my 2013 Escape serviced at Basil Ford. I want to especially thank Bob Pontrello for his excellent customer service. He is amazing!! I am always happy to see him at the service desk when I walk in because I know that I am going to get the attention that I deserve. Thank you Bob!!!

I am pleased with the service Basil Ford provided on Sept 11, 2018. I took my car in for a routine inspection but was told that my brakes were failing. I was given a rental car for the evening and upon return the next day, learned that the actual cost was much lower than quoted. I also received a car wash. Thank you Basil Ford.

I was there to get winter tires out in along with wiper blades and the wait time I feel was longer than I thought should be. However, the staff was very apologetic along with an explanation. A courtesy was extended which made the entire process durable. I appreciate the excellent customer service I received in the end. Thank you!!
