No words....just absolutely beautiful. I love this place & can't wait to come back again!!! Food, room, services, etc....TOPS!!!!
Character Breakfast can take pictures of popular characters such as Mickey and family members, and can purchase image data taken by a dedicated photographer. The breakfast itself is buffet, and it is a menu for loco moco, egg Benedict, pancake, Mickey face waffle, etc. for adults and children alike. Various characters can go around the table, take pictures, and hug during the meal. It would be a great experience for Disney lovers.
We looked at the time share open house at the Aulani resort. It looked very nice.
Its our 3rd time bringing our Ohana to AULANI!!!...THE STAFF AND SERVICE IS AMAZING WITH REAL ALOHA SPIRIT TO BEAT!!! THE PLACE and location IS UNBEATABLE and HEAVENLY...the kids always end up crying when its time to depart because they love it all so much
The most beautiful place to stay on the island. Filled with authentic Hawaiian art and the best staff. Amazing pools and beach. There are even fish in the water at the beach.
Great food, friendly service. Loved the buffet and the character show.
We were overnight guests and wanted an easy casual dinner. Ulu Cafe was perfect. The hot plate roasted chicken was excellent. We also had a caprese salad and split both for our meal. Dining on the tables outside the Cafe made it close to use the refillable mugs. The view made for a nice casual evening.
Amazing place! Why go to a park when you could have it all right there in Oahu. First class all the way!
Beautiful! Disney resort. Nice area! Beautiful sunset.
The Good Stuff: This hotel is very clean. It smells like a spa. You get treated fairly well while at the properties. Great receiving staff when you check in. The beds were super comfy. The beddings and the pillows were great, the toiletries and the teas are high quality. The resort all around is spotless. Loved the Pool Parties with the cartoon characters, almost everyday. Loved our free 1 day car rental, and the awesome shuttle service that was on time -these perks came with our 5 nights stay package (for a hefty price). Aunties Beach house was nice to have, my son did say that the staff were friendly. It is free and you can drop them on and off after 9:30 am everyday. Food in their Buffet is Delicious. I appreciate the mini kids buffet line up, my 6 year old did too.
Now the not so good part:
Hotel is expensive for what you actually get. We have been to Disney World in Orlando multiple times, the same room will cost you about $100 US less in Florida. The property it self is not that big. The pools are just ok, it gets fairly crowded. We went last week of January, I could not imagine the crowd during holidays. There's really not much to do in here. I think our 5 nights stay was just right to enjoy the facility. Food in the resort is expensive ( as expected ). You will spend $50 easy for lunch for 2 adults and 2 children, lunch meaning chicken fingers and fries lunch. If you opt to eat in their restaurants, I would say $100 per meal you will be spending. We paid $120 US for their buffet dinner. It was good. But nothing you would not see from any other fancy hotel buffet. If we stay here again, we will probably just do 3 nights, and stay in another hotel in Waikiki where the action is. There is very very few activities for toddlers. They should make the drop off at the kids club easier, we spent about 20 minutes each morning just to drop of our son. The nearby eateries are also expensive. Most of the properties are Disney Time Share. This hotel is about 30 minutes drive to Waikiki. Having been to Disney World, it feels like the Disney Magic is missing in this property. I am glad they take out the mascots for walks if not, you can easily forget that you are in a Disney Resort.
Bueatiful resort a must if you have children. Very nice water park, lagoon to swim in, lots of pools and good restaurants. Staff very attentive room was kept very nice.
Great for families. Go during the off season to avoid crowds. Expensive but well worth it for kids.
Just the right mix of Hawaiian splendor and Disney entertainment. Service is great, pools are fun and the beach is gorgeous.
Aulani Disney Resort has provided me an amazing experience of Hawaii through comfort and amazing views if the ocean. The location of the resort itself is kind of far from other attractions of Hawaii, and should be left early in the day if anything outside the resort is to be visited. As for the staff and service, everyone is very helpful and able to help you with any need you may have. Overall I recommend this resort for a great trip to Hawaii.
Never wanted to buy a timeshare more in my life! Great experience by Disney. Enough Disney for the kids but enough resort for the adults!
I was torn about this. I couldn't decide between 3 and 4 stars. Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of awesomeness at this place, just the stuff that isn't, really isn't. First the beds are hard as rocks. I couldn't sleep well. Second, even with the sign on the door they still come in your room. This is not ok. The lazy river was really nice though, as was the lagoon
The hotel was very clean. We had the character breakfast and our waitress was the best! She was so attentive and loving! She brought us everything we needed quickly and checked on us regularly. Aunty was the best part! Even though we were two twenty year old girls she still included us in the parade and we had a blast! My best friend and I went to the bar and got drinks later that day as we sat on the beach. It was very clean and tended to very often. The hotel itself is beautiful and I would definitely stay there if I had booked sooner.
A great place to get away from all the bad fires in California, kids love the lazy river and the ocean view from the resort is the best. Close to a lot of good eats, rooms are super quiet they spent a good time engineering this resort , Disney is always top notch with vacations, well worth the money for the memories.
We were here for the character breakfast, it was amazing! My two year old had a blast.
Great place! Very friendly staff. I really like Aulani.
Fun, but very expensive and the beds aren't very comfortable
This best in every way shape or form .....we had a family medical problem the Disney people ...fire and EMTs were just great at everything ....before that all happened just great can not say enough about them mickey goofy and the gang are great ....
Such a great resort!! Knew the kids were going to love it, but Aulani totally blew away all our expectations. A must when vacationing on Oahu!!
It was great. We had my granddaughter birthday dinner there. The staff was amazing. They made sure Donald, Dafffy Duck Pluto, steech, and the rest of the crew made it to every table so kids and parents could get a picture with them. And the food was fabulous. The staff could not have been nicer. You really should have 10 stars on your rating. Becouse I never give 10 stars for anything. But this place deserves 10 stars. Thank you for making my granddaughter 7th birthday so memorable.
The perfect place for a staycation. My daughter loved meeting the characters by the pool.
The moment you pull in, you will notice the great and friendly service, from the valet to the greeters to the checkin hosts. Aulani is in a great area of oahu, outside of the busyness of Waikiki. There are a good number of shops and restaurants within 5-15 minutes of the resort.
The resort is incredibly subpar compared to the Westin villas that I frequent but it is out of Waikiki and within walking distance of MonkeyPod kitchen
Parked, got my stuff' left. They didnt charge me for the 10 min of valet that i used which was nice.
Great fun on the lazy River. Great dinner yesterday.
My daughter loved the pools and the slides. Amasing View. We all loved the laze river.
Such a beautiful place. The service is amazing and the staff is so nice! It feels very safe here for the entire family. You never really need to leave. I'm already thinking about when is the next time my family can visit although it is pricey.
Nothing like it. The best accommodations on the island with Disney service. Highly recommended.
Great place a little pricey but well worth it and your in hawaii
Without a doubt one of our favourite places on the planet! We love Aulani!
Parking is outrageous, $37 a day, and thats max rate after about 3 hours parked. Also, our rooms were not ready at check in and the resort wouldn't hold our luggage so we could use the ammenities until rooms were ready either. Family of 19 sitting around waiting on rooms for 5 hours! Only got to use the water park for about an hour before the luau. Just the kind of service you don't want in a $3500 a night resort! The Luau was ok show wise, but the food was kind low grade ar best, in my opinion. Again, not what I expected at $80 a person. Food was cold, overcooked, and some of it tasted like it was on the verge of spoiling. Waterpark area is OK, but needs more than just the 2 slides, lazy river, and kids area. And there is no relaxing in this lazy river. It is complete kid chaos! The views and resort is beautifully themed, as per any Disney resort or park, but that was about the only thing good about this place. My suggestion: find a better place to stay, and save yourself money, headache, and time.
Nice and beautiful. The workers are filled with Aloha.
Went for Thanksgiving brunch. Great service, good food, lots of fun
My wife and I recently had our vacation here and it really is a beautiful place the hotel is like no other the valet park is super friendly and tentative they will even take your stuff to your room for you the rooms and views are amazing we stayed on the 9th floor so we had a pretty good birds eye view . The only complaints I gave of the over all trip to aulani is that the food isn't really that good and it is really expensive 50 plus dollars per meal , another thing I had an issue was with the beach and the neighbor hotel next to aulani I believe it's the four Seasons hotel my wife and I decided to go for a late swim out to the beach and watch the sunset well we meet some really nice Ppl out there and we ended up staying past sundown so we are swimming in the beach talking laughing having a grand time on our vacation then out of nowhere this random guy approaches us and claimed he worked for the hotel next to aulani and that they're guest outside at the bar are complaining about the noise that we are making at the beach we are a total of 4 ppl simply talking swimming and laughing enjoying a vacation I said I'm sorry but we're aulani guest were here on vacation having a good time plus I had asked the aulani staff about the beach if there were closing hour or limits they said none it's a public beach so to have a hotel staff member come out and rudely approach us about noise really got to me and we honestly weren't making any more noise they they're guest were outside at the bar getting drunk . That was the only downside to our whole vacation .
Everything you'd come to expect from Disney...but in a Hawaiian-themed resort! Very nice property!!!
The staff are super nice I told them you don't have to worry about getting the sprinkles but they got it anyway and when I came to the Character Breakfast they made my chocolate milk extra special I want to come back more often just the point where I want to live here
Outstanding, the resort is awesome. The people working here are friendly
1. The resort is mostly frequently by Japanese tourists. These are very nice people, but if you want to make friends you will need to speak Japanese!
2. The snorkeling pool is EXTREMELY COLD. It needs to be for the fishes, but it's tough to tolerate for some.
3. No beverages in the lazy river at all. This can make it hard to keep your family hydrated if you're trying to relax on a sunny day. You have to keep getting out to drink water.
4. Kid's club is only open until 9pm, which is a shame, because it's a great place and kids love it. This essentially means no romantic adult time. Disney cruises have kids clubs until midnight which is great for parents needing a break.
It the best hotel in hwai'i if you go to ohauo you should go there
They always have new stuff in the shop for us to keep wanting to come back and buy!!!
Great place for holiday. Staff and lifeguards are amazing, plenty of thing to do and the pools are amazing. Wifi is a little slow but that is only negative. Very impressive accommodation
Breathtaking views. This is not just a hotel, this is an experience.
A wonderful resort with excellent facilities, I first stayed here in 2015 and I'll be back again in 2022. It's a pity I live so far from it.
Beautiful location that we would love to come back and try out.
I expected a lot more. Everything way to expensive and literally nothing included for the amount you spend. I have no reason. To go back!
A nice resort if you have kids. Everything is there for you, and you don't have to step out of it. Man oh man is it expensive though.
The best trip I have ever been on. Totally relaxing and the kids had the time of there lives in the many different pools. Aunties beach house is a lifesaver.
Authentic Hawaiian Place Hawai'i is so broke, roads are ugly why tourist come here beats the hell outta me....
Had an amazing time with the breakfast meet and greet. My daughter loved it.
The Disney feel without being overbearing. Lots of great activities for adults and kids.
This hotel had told me in advance that they had "full computer access" for their guests. Therefore, I took end of the year work from my job to do. When I arrived, there wasn't a business center, but there was a very old computer that didn't work well. I was unable to do my work on this and after a couple of days had to Uber to Office Depot to buy a laptop for $1000. The Aulani staff spoke a lot of nice corporate speech to me, but were unwilling to help in any meaningful way - such as letting me use one of their house computers (I would gladly have paid for that priviledge). In addition, we found a limited selection of places to eat. There are either high cost places, such as the buffet and a fine dining restaurant, or beach shacks. My grandchildren tired of hot dogs and hamburgers at the beach shacks after a couple of days. Many guests were ordering in pizza. The hotel was at capacity, which would be expected at Christmastime, but there was inadequate staff (for the childrens' groups) and supplies (boogey boards for the beach) for all the guests. My son had to get up at 6am to sign the kids up for activities. Surely, Disney could anticipate this and accommodate all its guests. The kids enjoyed the pools and the beach, but in general I felt that this was a very expensive vacation for what we received.
Nice place. Staff was Disney perfect. The pin trading was above par. I learned a lot about the culture. Still thinking about trading timeshares.
Great location. Like everything except the excessive noise at breakfast buffet and the lack of activity on the beach ( volleyball, bocheball or even crocket)
This is Disney at it's best over the top great service. The atmosphere is amazing, rooms are very clean and cozy don't think there is a bad place to eat at Aulani food is very good. My only knock is it is very expensive aside from the room rates 2 beers and 2 cocktails were $60 ouch. Good times though
Paradise is hard to word, it needs to be experienced
Such a beautiful and relaxing place. Perfect for a family gettaway
Place is nice and service is very friendly. I recommend staying a few nights while visiting the island of oahu.
This place is awesome, staff is wonderful so helpful
Great place for kids and adults alike. Snorkeling, lazy river and breakfast with characters were great, plus the luau was the very best part. Amazing food and fun!
Excellent resort. Great for kids. Food and other things are expensive, but there is a lot of things included in the stay and a lot of places nearby to eat. The Luau may not be worth the price.
Went to look at the facilities. Very nice and friendly staff. Would love to stay
I was greeted with a lei and beautiful sights of the resort. All staff are of Disney standards: happy, friendly, and helpful. I spent 3 full days here thanks to the option to store my bags with them after my morning check-out. 3 days was the perfect amount of time to experience everything I wanted to: DVC tour, art class, fireside story time, early morning yoga, culture tour, KaWa'a luau, character meet-and-greets, scavenger hunts, gift shops, daily sunsets and swimming at the relaxing lagoon and numerous swimming pools.
The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the food. It all tasted fine but it's very expensive. Nonetheless, thankful for the experience.
There are whales in a pool. I speak whale that they aren't saying good things about the lifeguards but other than that it went pretty whale.
Finally got to do a staycation at Aulani for our 12th wedding anniversary (we have been together for 19 years total). And though it was during the refurbishment it was well worth it. Plus the magically pixie dust they sprinkled on us when they heard it was our anniversary made for a great experience. I can't wait to go back again.
[VALUE] Since not all of the pools were available we received a $50 per night credit. Plus we did the kamaaina weekday special so we saved a lot more.
[ACTIVITIES] We had a blast making our own MOUSE EARS ($25 per person) and stamping T-SHIRTS ($15). The mouse ears were little bit challenging using a glue gun. I would definitely recommended doing the shirts. Plus if you are a DVC member or have a Disney credit card you receive a discount.
[PIN TRADING] There are A LOT more places to trade with pin boards at several of the stores and at DVC preview room, plus binders in the pau hana room and in the DVC area next to the front desk. Most of the DVC stands throughout Aulani have cast members with lanyards and several other hospitality cast members are wearing pouches. MY ONE WISH IS TO SEE THEM BRING BACK AN ORGANIZED PIN TRADING AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK OR MONTH.
We're local and my wife loves Disney so we come here to eat and or shop and just relax and walk around the beautiful property.
Beautiful resort. Anything Disney never disappoints.
This has to be the most Magical place on the island..The second you walk in you feel like you just stepped into a paradise only disney can offer with Hawaii flare and Spirt.Staff was friendly, informative and they all had positive up beat energy...
It's just Ok. Nothing special they are Not visitor friendly. The Hotel is actually Very Plain compared to The Explorers Lodge at Hong Kong Disneyland which is More Spacious and Beautiful and the Cast Members there Pride themselves on Guest Service, where the Cast Members of Aulani Do Not! Also I encountered some guests there who were Stuck Up and just plain Rude. In my opinion it seems like Aulani caters just to the Rich.
For Disney lovers, it is unbearable! I am a repeater. (Lol)
The location is quite far from the capital, but it has a lovely pool with a private beach. Our room was a standard, basic, nothing-special room, but we must say the bathroom is beautiful. We also attended the dinner buffet that came at the Disney price as well, but the selection was of good quality. It's an altogether great place, but definitely not for the faint of wallet.
Super nice, great view of mauka, downtown or the makai. Workers are very friendly and the grounds are clean. Restaurants on the grounds. Parking is fairly ample and safe. The only drawback is the price. You'll pay Disney prices for a room, Disney resort fee and Disney priced parking. Bring your checkbook or credit card and be prepared to hand them over as your next CC bill to set you back a mortgage or two.
I saw a face of joy that I have never seen before when she met Mickey and Minnie for the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch here.
