This hotel had told me in advance that they had "full computer access" for their guests. Therefore, I took end of the year work from my job to do. When I arrived, there wasn't a business center, but there was a very old computer that didn't work well. I was unable to do my work on this and after a couple of days had to Uber to Office Depot to buy a laptop for $1000. The Aulani staff spoke a lot of nice corporate speech to me, but were unwilling to help in any meaningful way - such as letting me use one of their house computers (I would gladly have paid for that priviledge). In addition, we found a limited selection of places to eat. There are either high cost places, such as the buffet and a fine dining restaurant, or beach shacks. My grandchildren tired of hot dogs and hamburgers at the beach shacks after a couple of days. Many guests were ordering in pizza. The hotel was at capacity, which would be expected at Christmastime, but there was inadequate staff (for the childrens' groups) and supplies (boogey boards for the beach) for all the guests. My son had to get up at 6am to sign the kids up for activities. Surely, Disney could anticipate this and accommodate all its guests. The kids enjoyed the pools and the beach, but in general I felt that this was a very expensive vacation for what we received.
