The Good Stuff: This hotel is very clean. It smells like a spa. You get treated fairly well while at the properties. Great receiving staff when you check in. The beds were super comfy. The beddings and the pillows were great, the toiletries and the teas are high quality. The resort all around is spotless. Loved the Pool Parties with the cartoon characters, almost everyday. Loved our free 1 day car rental, and the awesome shuttle service that was on time -these perks came with our 5 nights stay package (for a hefty price). Aunties Beach house was nice to have, my son did say that the staff were friendly. It is free and you can drop them on and off after 9:30 am everyday. Food in their Buffet is Delicious. I appreciate the mini kids buffet line up, my 6 year old did too.
Now the not so good part:
Hotel is expensive for what you actually get. We have been to Disney World in Orlando multiple times, the same room will cost you about $100 US less in Florida. The property it self is not that big. The pools are just ok, it gets fairly crowded. We went last week of January, I could not imagine the crowd during holidays. There's really not much to do in here. I think our 5 nights stay was just right to enjoy the facility. Food in the resort is expensive ( as expected ). You will spend $50 easy for lunch for 2 adults and 2 children, lunch meaning chicken fingers and fries lunch. If you opt to eat in their restaurants, I would say $100 per meal you will be spending. We paid $120 US for their buffet dinner. It was good. But nothing you would not see from any other fancy hotel buffet. If we stay here again, we will probably just do 3 nights, and stay in another hotel in Waikiki where the action is. There is very very few activities for toddlers. They should make the drop off at the kids club easier, we spent about 20 minutes each morning just to drop of our son. The nearby eateries are also expensive. Most of the properties are Disney Time Share. This hotel is about 30 minutes drive to Waikiki. Having been to Disney World, it feels like the Disney Magic is missing in this property. I am glad they take out the mascots for walks if not, you can easily forget that you are in a Disney Resort.
