A great experience for a family setting. Great scenery, great amenities, and great room furnishings. The restaurants are a tad low quality for the extreme Disney price. Though the pool is great, it doesn't stay open late. If you have a family of little ones, it's worth it.

The location is quite far from the capital, but it has a lovely pool with a private beach. Our room was a standard, basic, nothing-special room, but we must say the bathroom is beautiful. We also attended the dinner buffet that came at the Disney price as well, but the selection was of good quality. It's an altogether great place, but definitely not for the faint of wallet.

Can't get enough of Disney!! Had a Sunset dinner at the A'ma A'ma then breakfast with a gorgeous ocean view! Pool fun for the entire family. Aunty's Beach House for Kids activities and Pau Hana Lounge for Adult/Kids Arts & Crafts. So much fun for All!! Got to go back!!

We are DVC members and we have stayed at many different Disney resorts. When comparing Aulani to those other Disney resorts, this gets 1 star. Most of the staff cannot answer questions and seem to care little about finding an answer for you. There are two beverage stations and both are on one side of the resort. In addition, neither is open 24 hours and only one provides coffee and it closes at 8 p.m. Considering the cost of points and travel time to get here one would be much better off using points to go to Europe because you can stay twice as long with less points.

Definitely an awesome hotel, loved every minute of it really. Unfortunately, the reason I removed a star is because of the price. We stayed in a regular hotel most of our trip and only stayed one night at Aulani. Aulani is beautiful and was better in basically every way, but it was also well over double the cost of a regular hotel, and we got a cheap room. However, I am very glad we did it. If we have the money in the future I am sure we will go back. The area is nice, we liked being outside of Honolulu and Waikiki, the hotel is beautiful, the pools are awesome, the food is great and not really any more expensive than eating out anywhere else. We tried the buffet dinner which had characters walking around, it was really fun and nice, some foods were definitely better than others but it was still a great experience. All around great place to stay, the price is just crazy.

It's a Disney Resort. Lots of stuff to do and everything is constantly moving. In many way it's like an actual theme park. Parking is a bit steep with 12 dollars for 30-60 for parking, where at the parks its 20 for premium AND it's all day. We just visited to check it out to see if the price tag matched the experience. It was a nice little getaway, but a little steep for my wallet. Maybe on the next trip if I can nab a deal.

Wonderful vacation for families that can afford it. Lots for toddlers though teens. Good accommodation for celiac and very attentive to food allergies when you work with them. Our only dislike was how dark the rooms are, and that all the fixtures are tinted giving the light a sepia tone. Our leaky coffee maker was replaced immediately.

Aulani is situated about 15 minutes from the Honolulu Airport and about 45 minutes from Waikiki (which has a good shopping area). Stayed in a very nice 1 bedroom suite. Came with kingsize bed, fold out sofa bed and a murphy bed in the tv cabinet. The Aulani has a great water park on-site with lazy river, 2 water slides, a kid's playground, very large pools and jacuzzis. What was nice that there is an adult-only pool and jacuzzi which is enforced to maintain a quieter atmosphere to enjoy (as opposed to be usually kid-filled park). There is a large private beach / lagoon which is protected from large waves by some large reef making the lagoon area quite placid and safe from heavy waves. There are snorkling and paddleboard rentals also available on-site for use on at the lagoon.

This resort is very fun! The theme is very well executed, as is Disney's usual style, and there are many activities for all ages! There are pools for kids and adults, childcare so parents can get a break, a beautiful beachfront, and good food!

I actually didn t stay here. But we did the character breakfast buffet, ordered cocktails at the pool bar, and hung out on the beach. It s a beautiful resort. The breakfast was good, and the characters were fun. I still think it was a little expensive, but fun.

For Disney enthusiasts, it was a hotel where you could have a truly dream stay.

Not only the hospitality of all the staff, but also the vastness of the facility and the abundant pool, it was a four-day stay, but I was completely tired.

There are Disney characters throughout the facility, where you can take pictures and enjoy interacting.

I also visited each restaurant in the facility, but they have different characteristics and you can enjoy different ways.

During the stay, you can explore freely even after midnight after all shops are closed at night, so you can immerse yourself in a mysterious atmosphere different from the daytime.

There are shopping facilities near the hotel, and I think taking a walk outside is a good option.

My mother, my daughter and I had a lovely stay at Disney Hotel Aulani. The staff was very helpful, very fast and pleasant. I found staff would go out of their way to help and yes was the answer to everything. We even were a day late for our luau and they didn t even blink an eye. They welcomed us the next night no penalty. The fun for kids was great. Water slide, lazy river, scavenger hunt, story telling and Manaui (little men hidden all over the grounds). Very magical for my 6 year old. Expensive food and food quality was medium in most restaurants on sight.

We have been twice, it is very nice and relaxing. The staff makes sure everyone feels like they are at home and treat you like your family. Take advantage of the refillable souvenir cups in the gift shop, you get free sodas and coffee.
Auntie's beach house is the best, the kids have so much fun they don't want to leave. They have video games, movies, crafts and a large play yard. Perfect way to get a little adult time.
You can walk to a professional level golf course. They hold a LPGA event there every year.

Love Aulani. Beautiful scenery and awesome Disney feeling. Annoyed that there were no chairs at the pool at 10 am and the staff not cleaning up chairs with towels holding there place after their hour policy.

Pretty amazing resolt and Uber expensive. Don't forget while you're considering a timeshare- you will have it for over 40 years but your kids will grow up and most likely your interest in Disney resorts will be lessened.

Fun to walk around! I would probably only want to stay here if I had kids. The beach is nice but definitely caters to those who are just wanting to lounge, and are staying at the hotels. You can get dolewhip down by the beach. The store has lots of good merch and the inside of the hotel is decorated beautifully. It's pretty far from Honolulu, but worth stopping by for the Disney fans.

Overpriced 3 start hotel, promoted as 5 star. Not worth the money. Four Seasons next door was cheaper. You pay arm and a leg for this place. No shows included. Pool chairs are hard to find even in off season. People leave their things on the chairs and disappear for hours. No one is enforcing the pool chair policy. Only couple of slides for kids and that s it, other than that just normal pools. Doesn t not feel like Disney resort. Characters rearly come by. Pay for everything on top of crazy per night room rates. Parking $37.00 per day, small snorkeling pool fee $20.00 per person, Luau $89.00 per person, paddle board $40.00 per hour, just to name a few. If a family of 4 planning to stay there for a week, plan to spend another $1500.00-$2000.00 on top of the room rates.

I liked the virgin drinks and had a very enjoyable trip here also there is a small cay off to the right you can ask about. watch out for the occasional shark of jellyfish though they put a buoy out. the rooms are very nice but I would try to not just eat on that side try the east side for some less expensive food trucks and surfing.

This is a beautiful hotel. Having it also be Disney themed makes it that much better. The only "complaint" that I would have is that when we checked in, we had to wait for over an hour for our room to be ready. We didn't mind the wait, though, as there was plenty to explore!

This is a magical and enchanted place for the entire family. The rooms are well done and service is excellent! Not a fan of their food, traditional Disney food but many local places to try the local foods and most rooms you can cook if you wish. Outside activities are well done with lots for kids to explore. The lazy river are fun and there are other many pools to go as well. One of the best resort stay I have ever experienced. Outstanding decor, theme, and Disney touches. I enjoyed the area and the stories behind everything. A must stay if you visit Oahu.

Probably the most amazing Disney (or any) resort we've stayed at. There is so much to do, a number of things nearby to enjoy, and many excursions to choose from, that you really don't have to put much effort in to have a great time. Our room (ocean view) was very comfortable and enjoyable. The design was fun and useful, the bed comfortable, and the split bathroom great. The view was incredible. The many pools, slides, beach areas, and activities really allowed us to do what we felt like at any given moment. The food options are many and varied. Prices are a bit high, but no more so than any of the places we also enjoyed off-site. Highly, highly recommend this place.

Ate at the Casual service restaurant by the pool. The service was amazing! Food was pretty good. Drinks were pretty good. Walked around property. Pool is amazing. Hotel is very nice, what you would expect from Disney.

I got some oysters at the Makahiki buffet. I took a picture with Stitch and I bought Spam sushi from the Ulu cafe. I swam at the rainbow reef 3 times and it was so fun looking for the Menehune. I got a free lei and a free Menehune necklace. The Ka Maka Grotto pool was very bodexcellent and I am definitely coming back another time. The lagoon was also very beautiful and I went paddle-boarding.

No bad surprises. Everything is as expected from this type of hotel. The 'villas' are big and really comfortable. The Disney stuff is not too much in your face ;)
If you are into running you will find out that this resort is surrounded by a refinery and a refuse processing plant. But no to worry you can be completely oblivious of that fact. Beside the warm water generated by the power plant at the West of the resort is a favorite diving spot.

First time overnight guest at any Disney property and really amazed at the total Disney experience. Getting dropped off at the front, warmly greeted by staff. Coming through the main doors, welcomed with fruity water and lei. Arriving to my hotel room, seeing a towel shaped like Mickey on the bed. Pretty much all of the staff say aloha whenever you pass them. The staff call themselves cast instead of staff. Had the character breakfast and just loved how the characters engaged the children throughout the meal.

Over the years my family and i traveled to numerous places and stayed beautiful resorts. Aulani Resort, is by far the best resort we stayed. The resort is well maintained, the customer service is superb, all the employees seemed happy, energetic, friendly and there to serve you. The kids had fabulous time (kids paradise).
Looking forward to our next vacation in winter, can't wait!

This is the nicest resort we've ever stayed at! We've been to numerous resorts, most of them Disney, but Disney pulled out all the strings when they built this one. The pool is amazing! We spent many hours on the lazy river and water slides. Not only are the rooms amazing, but the ocean views are hard to beat. They also have a snorkeling pool in the pool area with amazing corals and fish. They have so many activities that they isn't any reason to leave the resort. This is a resort I would recommend to everyone!

Everyone is so nice and helpful here. a little expensive but beer about the same at a bar grate views and all way clean or being clean. Their are kids everywhere but its a Disney resort, their plenty of place for adults to chill as well. Me and my lady had a grate time.

It is safe here and there is absolutely no loss! There aren't many stores in the area when you go, but the pool is fun without going out of the hotel!
By the way, if you go there, you should definitely buy a cup that you can have a drink at the poolside! Drinkable and can be used at home!

I love going down the tube slide that ends up in the lazy river that takes about fifteen minutes to make a complete float around. There are a few exits along the river if you decide you want to get out. You could either leave your tube at the exit or just leave it in the pool and another guest could grab it.
