There are 4 lagoons around here, and there is a paid parking lot between the lagoons.
Paid parking will be full soon.
We parked at the Disney Hotel parking lot.
Every beach in Hawaii has big waves, but here it is a little cove, so the waves are calm and it's perfect for playing small children.
I went to the lagoon in front of Disney Hotel, but I can use the food corner, toilet and shower of the hotel.
Characters also come out from time to time, so they can be enjoyed in many ways.
Beach towels and rugs are mandatory as beach umbrellas are for guests only.
The on-site swimming pool is also for guests only.
You can enjoy parking fee of 37 $ and food and drinks only for one day.
The accommodation is quite expensive, but it can be enjoyed by the visitors.

Went to visit the beautiful lagoons and resort. There is free local parking but it's limited. Decided to park k. The aulani guess lot which is about $35 for all day parking but you get complimentary parking if you spend more than $35 for food or buy $50 more in merchandise. The food at the restaurants is pricy but the view and staff is what you would expect of Disney. Plus the nearby lagoons are amazing and was worth the money. Come if you are planning on spending a few or more hours at the beach. We also were bummed to see you can't get a day pass for the resort to use their pools.

Expect a better room when paying over 600 a night which is the range of a 5 star hotsl. Facilities fun for the kids so obviously that's built into the price but no water in the room, cheap shower curtain baths with no shower stalls and few amenities.

Like all disney properties, this resort is very guest friendly and family oriented. There is a lazy river, a netted beach with no waves which is great for kids of all ages, and much much more. The only thing that isn't great about it is the location. It's off the beaten path and is about a 40 minute drive to Waikiki.

What a fabulous place for a vacation! It's away from the city without being too far as drive distance is reasonable. The service is standard Disney fantastic. Food is amazing. (expensive but if you have done Disney anything you come to expect this). So much to do that you have no reason to leave the resort if you don't want to: Pools and beach access, snorkeling, activities for kids and adults including adult-only areas that provide something for everyone. There are other restaurants and shops (even groceries) within walking distance. It's a perfect place to go on vacation.

There were many small things included that were not expected which helped me give this a 4 star rating.

Pros:
Service-Always intrusive by asking if you need anything
Clean
Quality
Facilities
Plenty of pool space and areas for small kids
Room was fairly big and clean
**We requested a microwave and bathroom scale which were brought to accommodate us.

Cons:
We were overcharged 2 times for the Character breakfast...the 2nd time is when we caught it. When we questioned the waitress and she assured us that the charges were correct. We later check the prices for children and we were right with our concern. After talking with the front desk, they found out we were overcharged $60 for 2 days at the Character breakfast. I'm an adult, so I tend to always check where I spend my money. It bothers we we had to be so involved with this to be sure we got our money back. As we all know, Disney is never a cheap experience. My problem was resolved by the front desk....should've been resolved when we questioned the waitress.

It wasn't the "Disney" experience I expected. Yes it had all the pricing like a Disney place but some things were not really Disney special. My son left his stuff puppy on the bed a d housekeeping came to change the sheets. Apparently the stuffed dog was also taken with the linens. It was 5 hrs after they came when we discovered the dog was missing. Called the folks at the front and said they would make a note and that was it. I called the next day to see if there was an update and the cast member said we already took the report and if anything comes up we would call you in a rude way. Okay it's just a stuff animal but it meant the world to my son. So it's our fault for losing it but a little compassion or disney magic would have been helpful. Like some folks in other service industries would say this COULD have been a great opportunity to make magic for a 3yr olds life and a super Disney fan for life but it was totally missed by this cast member.

So long review short... Aulani is another nice expensive hotel but the staff missed big time on making magic for my family and especially my son.

Best resort for a family trip to Oahu! Great rooms, wonderful pools, and excellent restaurants. The staff is always helpful and the Disney charm is always a welcome treat for everyone in the family. The beach and surrounding area of Ko Olina is great and a much more relaxing place than the hustle and bustle of Waikiki. You can also fully enjoy Waikiki if you want as it is also only about a 30-40 minute drive away.

This resort is awesome for families. There's 2 family pools, 1 adults only pool, several spas hidden throughout the pools, 2 kids splash zones, a lazy river, 2 water slides, & the beach that has free rentals on their boogy boards & sand toys if your staying at the resort. Free towels whenever you want & the snorkel tank is awesome but does cost a little extra. The food & drinks are good, rooms are amazing as always with Disney. We bought more DVC points while we were there just to go back sooner.

We are DVC members (AKL) & DW passholders and decided to try Aulani out this year. Absolutely not worth the travel from the east coast (NC). The pool and food are good, but the hellish travel and in our case 30hours of flight delays/cancels with a 6 yr old is not worth it. When we got in at 9pm rather than 2pm the previous day and tried to rearrange our plans from delays we couldn t do the events that we had originally planned and even the on sight luau s were full - sorely disappointing. Maybe a good plan for west coasters, but on the east coast find something on St. John s island, pay less, and get to do things in the moment rather than being trapped out of things booked a week out. Pretty but limited unless travel is perfect - west coast only.

Magical place. The staff is great and very helpful. I could have ask to have a better stay with my little family. Their was things for everyone to do. Just wish I had more time to do it all. The pools are awesome and the beach is beautiful especially at sunrise and sun set.

Simply unforgettable for the whole family. Great child care, but only in English. The dream paradise for everyone, very beautiful lagoon, great for swimming. Various pools, a large waterslide and a river. Beautiful grounds and great staff, here you have to feel comfortable.

The last place I was at was in Oahu north shore condo that looked nice in the pics but the a/c was broke and it had a musty smell so I just packed up and left lost 3 days of money on it i dont care im just so glad i found this hotel.and came here. My kids are grown and dont live with me anymore. And my wife was worried that there was going to be kids screaming and running around. Not at all. There are so many activities for them. It's like cool seeing everybody all happy. Just a great vacation vibe and they have adult pools also. You just know your in a cool vacation spot. The last condo I was at was like crabby old people the manager was telling me how to park my car and this and that how to empty trash and just very unwelcoming. This hotel is so well built i didnt hear one single noise. I wish i would have brought my daughter here when she was young i feel guilty.Wow they saved my vacation so professional and nice and the room is gorgeous.Front desk room service the vallet the everybody that works here was super cool and super nice I really felt pampered here. Spa jet bathtubs it not always about what the room looks like it's about customer service and this place has great Customer service. I got a late flight they even told me after I check out of my room I can still hang out here and enjoy the facilities instead of waiting around at the airport how cool is that? All you can eat crab and prime rib buffets. Their own lagoon and cool pools. I've been around this whole island and ended up here. It is worth every penny. I LOVE THIS PLACE I DON'T WANT TO GO HOME. But I miss my cat's and have to go back to work lol. My advice to everyone is don't be cheap and try to get a deal on something like my wife did you just never know what your getting. go with a place like Disney that will give you lasting wonderful memories. Don't matter if you have kids or not. There is a four seasons opening up next door no thanks! they don't have their own private lagoon all set up with umbrellas and chairs. I'll stick with Disney!!! Who doesn't love Disney! M. I. C. See you real soon! K. E. Y. Why because we love you! M. O. U. S. E.

Great, beautiful location. Beach and food at Ama' Ama' is pristine get the rib eye. The pools and water slide are also great. Only negative is it's very expensive. Expect to spend 100 for 2 people for dinner everynight. Parking is also expensive at 37 per night if your not a DVC member. 40 bucks for room service pizza and fries. Everything closes early, pools close at 8. Restaurants at 11. Make reservations when you get there for any special dinners, character breakfast etc. The Luau is nice but once again very expensive. Nice show tells a story but I don't think the value is really there for the price. The main benefit is it's local at your hotel. Moana, and Mickey and Minnie making an appearance are nice as well. They have Dole Whip!

Ok, this is not a bargain destination by any means, but sometimes splurging is worth it - and that is definitely the case at Aulani! This resort is so awesome for families. The pools keep our kids entertained all day, the kids club is fun for a day (they tend to cycle through the same activities), and the beach is calm and beautiful! Everywhere you go, you feel the ALOHA from the staff and the food is quite delicious! For an extravagant family vacation in Hawaii - this is the spot!!!

Disney sets a high bar for service. Aulani is no exception. Rooms were perfect with great views. Jimbo and Reyna at Off the Hook bar exemplify what Disney is all about. They offer exceptions service and a personal touch you can t find anywhere else. Gave resort 4 out of 5 due to below average service from beach rentals team. Beach rentals team typically exhibited poor attitude, tried to do the least they could, can tell they are the bottom of the barrel of departments at Aulani. They honestly hold this place down from what is otherwise a magical place. Try to go around them and all will be great.

Our friends are Disney vacation club and we stayed in a two bedroom suite with them. The beds were uncomfortable and tired. I woke up with a sore back every morning. Our friends had bed bugs in their beds and got covered in bites. The food and service was excellent, but everything was overpriced, and by over priced, I mean ridiculously expensive. A small bag of chips was $4 US.

We were told we have to try the character breakfast. I booked the character breakfast buffet for my wife and two kids, aged 5 and 7. The bill was $130. What a rip off. Goofy and Pluto spent all of 30 seconds at the table. My son ate 2 eggs and 2 pieces of toast.

I would not return to this property.

Not as crowded as waikiki, but also very noisy during the day, very quiet at night, the rooms are very soundproofed, there are many activities to participate in every day amaama tastes good and some waiters are relatively rusty

Disney did an amazing job building Aulani!

The pools are awesome, lots to do for all ages.

The activities crew does such a great job!

We have stayed at many of the Disney Resorts in Orlando, California, Vero Beach FL and Hilton Head. We have also been on numerous Disney Cruises.

The service at Aulani is too notch. Not just of the Disney trips that we have done, but of all of the resorts that we have been to.

I want my children to go at least once. Staff can sing songs and go around the table, or take a parade with the children so you can eat at the table without getting tired.
Children can be very happy because they can take lots of photos close to the character, so they have more contact than Tokyo Disneyland.
One unfortunate thing is the response of the Japanese staff. The staff at Tokyo Disneyland is by far the best.
I went to breakfast, but many people were tired of the Japanese without a refreshing smile. I don't think it's a service industry.

We are DVC members with a home resort here. This is our second visit and love it. The DVC rooms are what you come to expect from Disney. The resort itself is very nice for families especially. The resort has improved food options since our last visit 4 years ago. It's a great place to just come come and stay.

Spectacular! Beautiful resort with everything you can possibly imagine. Incredible views, setting, cuisine, entertainment, and the ocean as your backyard. The pools are endless, water activities abound, and the beachfront setting is perfect! Enjoy a calming and transformational spa day at Disney's Laniwai Spa.This Disney Resort is everything!

I would LOVE to stay at this place. There's not a thing I wouldn't want to do here. However, it's way past my budget.

Restaurants smelled great. The lazy river and water park looked super fun. The lagoon is nice. The view is awesome. Be there for sunset!

I checked in to Aulani Disney resort on Sept. 12, 2017 till September 19. My trip is combination of business and lesuier with the family. My first impression is the resort is too small when you think of Disney brand. Their are few characters spreads over the day and the kids have to wait in long lines to take a picture with one of them. The food is fr from being healthy and most of it are fried chicken, French fries, pizza, hot dog and Cesar salad.
The most important thing that ruined the vacation for me was the internet and the Wifi services. Since I checked in, the Wifi is too slow and I couldn't connect to my office to any work even when I plugged my computer through hard wire. When I inquired about the issue, they informed me that they are aware of the problem and they are working on it but noise fram to fix it. I had to leave my family most of the day and go across the street, at a coffee shop, and work there. Then when I asked to speak to a manager, they said that, it is their security system that prevent me from using remote connection but they will try to fix it but again no estimated time.
Finally after 4 days, I asked to be compensated for all the truble they put me through it and I asked for at least 10% discount on my daily room rate of almost $1,000 per day. They got back to me and offered only $200 for the whole week. When I asked to talk to a hotel manager in person, they said there is no manager and they gave me a web site to file my comlian.
Overall, this resort don't guarantee their advertising services and no way is worth the daily rate of almost $1,000 they charged me. So disappointed.

If you are a Disney fan, this probably will not change your mind. Let me put it this way: it is not terribly shocking to pay steep pricing when you come to Hawaii, but seriously Disney had just taken this to another level with many activities costing a fortune on top of the already unreasonable pricing. To mage matters worse, the hotel has made everything so confusing when it comes to making reservations at certain restaurants and other activities. Also, keep in mind you will spend another fortune on eating and more if you have a car rental with daily insane parking rates. Just like my family's last visit to Disney World, I have a feeling this will be my last. This comes from someone that has done yearly family trips to non-Disney attractions in southern California (true, it is not Hawaii but it's probably more fun in my opinion) and see much more at a much more reasonable cost.

This place was an amazing staycation! We took advantage of the discount for having local ID and was very satisfied. We can't believe we lived here for this long, and now just giving this place a try. The food and snacks are a little pricey, but very convenient. If your staying, you have to give the restaurant a try and enjoy their three course meal. We will be back.

2nd most happiest place on Earth! The kids love staying here for all the different pools and water play areas. The calm semi-private beach is calm and relaxing. You can check-out beach toys, umbrellas, and boogie boards for free! All the dry towels you need. Rainbow Reef is cool in that you can get the experience of snorkeling in a reef without having to out into the ocean. It's a large aquarium where you and the kids can snorkel with the fish!

Our suite had a full kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher. This is great so we don't have to go out to eat all the time. Save some money and eat in while the kids watch from a library of Disney movies you can also borrow for free. The room also has a washer/dryer so no need to pack a lot of clothes. Laundry every day so pack light.

There's an activity center (where you get the DVD movies) that offers daily activities and board games (which you can also take to your room.) Some of the activities get filled up quickly so sign up early to make sure you get a spot. The next day's activities are printed up the night before.

Parking is easy as there is a garage as well as valet. Note that the cost is the same whether you self park or use valet.

Mahalo!

Another great visit to Aulani. They have finished their renovation on all of the pools. Still a lot of activities for the family to do from the pools to swimming with the fish at rainbow reef. They have Disney characters that you can take pictures with and your photo pass. I would recommend this hotel. I guess the only problem would be that you would not want to leave.

Great hotel if you have little ones. Nice to wake up with a beach, small water park, swimming pools, gym, snorkeling, and some restaurants and shops on premise. The hotel is about 30 minutes from Waikiki but has pretty much everything you need. We stopped by Costco and picked up some food to cook and grill. They have 4 grills, you have to check out the grill equipment like tongs etc. Since they are not provided in your room. The workers all seem very friendly and happy, making the stay that much more enjoyable. Valet parking was $37 a night. There's also a little shopping center with a breakfast restaurant, dinner place and of course an ABC store about 10 minute walk away. You can take pictures with the characters by calling 2447 from your hotel phone after 8am to get their appearance schedule. The pool has 2 slides, one you can go in tandem with a tube the other must be done solo. Our 5 year old did both, he was wearing a floaty. Overall we had a great time and our son had a memorable experience. We definitely would like to come back before he out grows it.

Aulani is definitely the best place to stay in the Island. A perfect place to spend quality time with your ohana(family). Choose a villa which gives you more flexibility (in comparison with a regular room. Excellent activities for all ages. My Twin 10 years old grandchildren absolutely love it. If you want to pamper yourself or enjoy some "me time", you also check the kids in at Aunty's Beach house where they can play and enjoy kids activities with other kids their own age from all over the world. A win, win situation. I think I've said more than enough which should convince you to choose Aulani when you visit the island.
