My husband and I purchased a new sofa from Ashley that we love. Will our sales rep was wonderful and he made sure that our experience was a great one. The sofa was in stock, so they were able to deliver it quickly. The gentlemen that brought the sofa were nice, quick and very professional. However, included in the price of the sofa and an exorbitant delivery fee was a "free" Care Kit for Leather. It was supposed to be delivered with the sofa, but was not. I do not live in Anchorage but happened to be there one afternoon and I ran in to the store to pick it up. They did not have it, but told me I could drive across town to their warehouse and pick it up there. Really? I was on my way home and couldn't just drop everything and go across town to pick up something that should have been delivered with the sofa. I asked the sales rep at the store to just have it mailed to us. She said, that would be fine and I left. A couple of days later we were called and notified that they would not mail us the kit but that we could pick it up at the warehouse in Anchorage. Again, I don't live in Anchorage. We're talking a 2-hour plus drive to pick up something again, that I shouldn't have to pick up anyway! And something they could easily put in a box and mail to me. It felt like, "okay, we have their money - end of customer service!" Love the sofa, but I am not at all happy with the customer service and the way this has all been handled.
Worst furniture and service. We bought a sent from them in late October. By January the couch seats are uneven and stuff is flat. We tried to have them out January that got moved to Feb. The warranty company came out and we never heard from them again 264-5228 I have spoken to Chris 264-5225 left message and no response, he was going to send to the manufacture. I have left message for Chris boss Stan. I have spoke to the store manager Cary and he said he would look into and no response. I have talked the owner Dave 264-5210 who said he would look into and nothing. I have a couch from them that is under warranty that they are doing to to fix or replace and nothing from them. I want my money back and they can have the set. The coffee table that they forced us to by in order to have the couch set already has issues.
No pressure. Other options offered. Very accommodating.
Staff person (Alex) who assisted us was extremely helpful and patient, but not "pushy". Furniture prices are much more reasonable than at other stores and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Attn: this review has nothing to do with the sales people at Ashley Furniture in Anchorage, all of my experiences with them have been lovely.
In early June of this year I discovered a MASSIVE amount of black mold growing on my queen memory foam mattress that I had purchased in August, 2018 from Ashley Furniture in Anchorage (the size of the mold was about 2 ft by 3.5 ft). I attempted to salvage the mattress (I am a grad student and finances are extremely tight), but it could not be saved. Additionally, I am extremely allergic to mold- so allergic that I receive 6 shots every two weeks to manage my allergies. Ashley Furniture has not only put my finances in jeopardy, but also my health. And what do they do? NOTHING. I go in to personally talk to the manager, Bart, and even he is verbally and visually SHOCKED by the amount of black mold growing on my mattress. His response? Well, you didn t purchase an Ashley Furniture mattress protector initially so we probably can t replace it. My mattress it still under warranty, had a complete allergy-encasement the ENTIRE time I owned it that never came off, I never spilled anything on my mattress, and my landlord hired a maintenance individual to do a mold/moisture inspection in my entire home and found NO EVIDENCE of mold or moisture of any kind. My roommates mattresses are fine. But mine? No, it must be the mattress protector. How I found the mold? The mattress protector had moisture INSIDE it. No moisture was leaking from it, no mold on my box spring, no mold on my bed frame, no moisture/mold ANYWHERE in my room. Bart on the phone was rude, accusing me of going around in circles when I was asking him questions why my mattress protector purchase was the issue, and could not give me a reason why this was the verdict other than I am not a scientist. AVOID ASHLEY FURNITURE, THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTIES!!!
Two different sale reps were super helpful. Really appreciated them bringing the furniture to the loading bay and making it easy for me to get it in my truck.
Great customer service! Earl knew I needed to pick it up today and did everything he could for it to go as fast as possible. Instead of waiting he went to different computers to see which could get me out quickly. He was also very nice and personable!

Purchasing experience was ok. But we were told they would put the table together. It showed up not complete and still in the box. We are a business and plan very carefully. That small detail did have a negative effect for us that day.
As long as you have lots of money to throw their way that are happy to help. If you are just browsing around to see what they have they give you the worse time. Better to only good when you have money in hand if you want quick easy service ortherwise don't bother. They are so rude.

Follow up to this review.......I was told my furniture would be here 2-4 weeks. It is now 6 weeks and I must wait 3 more days. I asked if I would be compensated in some way, i.e. free delivery, some percent off cost, since I waited an additonal 2.5 weeks for my furniture (which was not a special order). I was told there is NOTHING they can do or offer me. That's pretty terrible customer service when you're spending $1300 on furntiure. I wish I could cancel my order but I need something to sit on in my apartment. I will never buy from Ashley in Anchorage again.

We appreciated the kindness and courtesy of the salespeople. Some stores we visited prior to Ashley, the salespeople treated us as another commission piece and not a genuine buyer. Ashley HomeStore were very thorough and efficient in the transaction of a new bedroom set for our children. They were patient as the kids tested each one to see what would fit them. Thank you!! We will gladly recommend them and come again for future purchases at the Anchorage midtown store.

The couch I purchased for 1,000 dollars can be purchased for 500 dollars on Amazon Prime. We live in Alaska and things are more expensive, But that is a bit much. Also I was not told about a shipping charge from one store to the other, So I am not happy about that. Sales help was nice enough ( Earl) and couch looks good, But wonder how long it will last. I will probably look elsewhere for our next couch and spend twice as much.

My sale representative gave me several options to choose from. He made some very valid points in helping me make my selection. This is the second time going to Ashley s with the same sales representative. I really like him, and he has never steered me wrong.
Travis did a great job, and answered any questions I had. He even put up with my weird comments and stories.
Edit: The store called me the next day and asked for further details and offered to send a tech out to look at the issue. I emailed them detailed pics of the issue but still wanted to send a tech out at $65 for a visit without any guarantee to fix the problem. I went to Lowe s and got some parts (zip ties) and fixed it the best I could. Soldered the broken wires and insulated the joints. Hope the house doesn t burn down but don t feel like further padding the pockets of this store. Added 1 star for the follow up phone call. Good luck!
We were told the couch, love seat, and recliner that we purchased were great quality. Unfortunately, after 18 months, one side of the reclining couch will no longer recline and the powered recliner has quit working. The fabric is great, the cats haven t been able to tear it up but the mechanical function is terrible. The store itself is great but the salesman could have told us we were buying junk instead of selling us lies. Do your research before going.
I went in to get a kitchen table, KC made it very easy for us to get exactly what we wanted. Very knowledgeable, if he didn't know he was very helpful with getting the answer. I will deffinetly return to get the rest of our items.

My family lost everything in a house fire shortly after moving to the anchorage area. I was informed by a representative that the owner of the local chain was an enthusiastic supporter of our military and wished to give some furniture to my family. As a mother of five children, my biggest concern was returning to normalcy as soon as possible. After some discussion, I was offered a dining room table with six chairs and two dressers. It was cheerfully delivered the next day. We were thrilled by the quality of everything. The generosity and kindness of everyone at Ashley left me humbled and exceedingly grateful. Over a year later, we remain thrilled with our furniture and have purchased other items with equal satisfaction.
Horrible service. Lady at the front entrance did not greet us and just pretty much ignore us as we enter and walk pass her. Then there was no rep that offered assistance. A few rep walked pass and didn t even say anything. When we finally got assistance, they did not offer any specials or promotion going on. Had to ask about what promo they had going on and the guy that helped us didn t even explain the process clear. He seems to be uninterested in helping us. He told him to fill in my information and he walked away. After I got done he was no where to be found. When we found him he decided to assist another customer. When he finally came back and finish up the process he didn t go over any explanation besides yes yes he and all done. Then when we finish he didn t say anything besides give me the receipt and that s it. Horrible experience for our first time.
Marianne was a great help. She guided us to the color of couches we were looking for but didn't push. We ended up ordering the couch we fell in love with in the color we want. So excited for it to arrive!

My complaint starts with damaged furniture we received when we picked up from the warehouse. So word of advice is to thoroughly check before you leave the warehouse if you are trying to save the money by picking up yourself. We got home saw drawers were cracked etc and had to rebox, return and then unload again into the house. Then we just waited just short of 5 weeks for a bed to come in that has missing parts. This transaction has been a nightmare, and I would like for you to know we had a lot of other furniture to purchase as we just moved and I am so happy we only bought a bedroom set. I will not ever give Ashley furniture our business again. I thought I was doing right by saving money ... well I guess you get your money s worth here. Oh and our sales person... no help whatsoever. Shocker.

We had a very good furniture shopping experience at this store. We moved from the lower forty eight on an airplane, so we needed a lot of furniture. Their prices were fair and competitive; their staff made suggestions and then gave us some room to make decisions; they delivered what we ordered in new condition; and their furniture delivery staff was professional and tuff as they hoisted our new furniture.
