Good place to pass a really good time with family and friends.
The exhibits that were open were very nice but I do not feel it was worth $29.95. It took us an hour to make it through the entire Aquarium.
Great place to visit. Make sure you you watch the big screen movie. Lots to see. It takes about 2-3 hours.
Not as big or well curated as other aquariums in the US (see Chicago) but it has an adequate campaign about the dangers of pollution in the ocean.
Great price and great fun! All of the animals are healthy and well taken care of. My only conplaint/advice is you have to buy stingray foodong before the feeding times or you will not be able to participate. We had no idea and it was never mentioned nor written on anything. We couldn't wait to feed the stingrays only to learn that they "sold out" of stingray food long before we made it to the touch tank, which was 30 minutes prior to feeding times
Buy the zoo+aquarium+insectarium package if you can ($45) compared to $30 for just the aquarium. Lots of strange and impressive fish. Would be fun for little kids
Open area, plenty of seating area. It also has a ferry to Algiers.
Always a positive experience. Well presented in kid friendly perspective. Loved the otters and parakeets. Kids play area under construction.
Small aquarium for the price. Takes less than 30 minutes to see and nearby parking cost $20 plus an hr.
For the love of all that is good, do not miss the Parakeet Point. Come for the fish, stay for the parakeets.
The animals were great....employees in concessions and gift shop were not....the aquarium had trash on the floor and the bathroom on second floor was a mess...for the price of admission I would rather watch the animals on animal planet... At least i know my house is clean and can use the bathroom with tissue
Very cool place to explore and learn about sea life.
The touch tanks and giant "The Gulf of Mexico" tanks are awesome.
This place never gets old and they always have something new to see.
This had some really cool stuff but seemed pretty pricy for as short as it is. Was also somewhat unorganized
Jellyfish, penguins, exotic frogs, and everything in between. See if you can find the owl!
My family and I really enjoyed this aquarium. We have been to two others, Atlanta and Chattanooga, and this one is just as nice as those. We liked the flow of it and didn't feel rushed. We also didn't feel overwhelmed or that our kids had sensory overload. We liked the fact that we could see it all in a few hours and not feel like we missed anything.
This place is on the small side but really nice. I loved the parakeet exhibit the most as you can feed them! Use tripshock to buy your discounted ticket!
We actually visited this aquarium to pass some time before we had to leave. We thought it would be just an average mall aquarium. We were very mistaken.
This aquarium has been very well thought out with the open forest areas and the aviary. Perfect way to spend half a day.
Absolutely beautiful, just wish that they would have let us know when we bought the aquarium/ zoo day pass that they were so far from each other. But the aquarium is amazing, I feel I love with the show of sting rays.
Quality aquarium with wide range of exhibits. Sometimes feels more like an amusement park than a center for learning, which isn't really my style. Can get super crowded. Love the tunnel and the huge viewing windows.
Wonderful educational exhibits that entertain all ages! I would definitely go again!
This is an amazing aquarium to visit. I got to see someone in scuba gear feeding the fish while I was there. The only thing I didn't like was that they had an option online to meet penguins but I couldn't meet them. I wish they would inform the public why certain dates were unavailable. When I visited the aquarium it was mating season for penguins.
So-so... their map of the US spelled Pittsburgh wrong.
Great place to visit, spent a few hours in here.. Food could be better but that's it
While not huge, it was a nice sized aquarium. They have a set up that allows you to flow from area to area. Nice variety. Staff was friendly &helpful.
After seeing the zoo we were very excited for the aquarium... I think this would have been a more enjoyable experience if we had gone at a later time in the day. We went at opening and many school groups accompanied our entrance. There wasn't much choice but to go backwards through the aquarium to avoid being side by side throughout the experience, which was fine. From the outside I definitely expected it to be a lot larger than it was all in all it took us about 40 minutes to get through and we were shocked that was it. We even checked the map to make sure we didn't miss something. Nothing special, fun for the kids I'm sure, if I could go back I wouldn't have wasted the ticket.
It was overpriced for an aquarium. IMO Ripley's believe it or not Aquariums are nicer and less money. I wouldn't go again.
This place was full of fun and our kids enjoyed fully.
Beautiful Aquarium I loved seeing all the different sea life. The Owl was a nice touch
A great aquarium. Every local has cherished memories here. No whale shark like Atlanta though... hah... I love the aquarium, however, they could use some new/exciting exhibits.
Great place to learn about nature and aquatic creatures.
My daughter and I enjoyed the aquarium yet the price does not match the size. Nothing there different other than you can feed some birds with some bird food they glued to a stick. The sticks cost $3 a stick.
Came in time to view the penguin feeding, loved the parakeet area.
Fabulous! A parakeet got into my husband's pocket! That was funny
Loved the art made from ocean trash. Really mind opening.
Great place for kids to learn about sea creatures and with mine Zoo membership I can get in free with 2 adults and 4 Kids you save a lot of money to answer the Zoo membership is very much worth it. I truly recommend a Zoo membership you and your kids are a babysitter can go as many times as you want for a year for free.
Love going to the aquarium, felt like it was lacking a little though. They kept up with cleanliness though, had a little guy walking around holding a sign to wear your mask too.
So god I love the bridge part me and my family are loving it!
Nice aquarium. A bit on the small side and in the middle of renovating the shark area, bit we still had fun. My significant otter liked it.
I love aquariums! This was a good one overall, but not necessarily worth the ticket price (we had the New Orleans power pass which included admission to the aquarium). It would be a great place for small kids to explore. I enjoyed seeing the cute penguins and otters (try to go at feeding time), touching the sting rays, and watching an albino alligator. We happened by the shark tank at feeding time which was great to watch!
I feel like any time I go to New Orleans in general I'm getting swindled. This place is no different. An OK attraction, but after "discounted" parking and just the aquarium entrance fees it ran me 120-140 for family of 3. It was just an OK aquarium. We walked the whole thing in 30min.
We took our one-year-old son for his first visit to the aquarium, and he loved it! He was able to get up close and see the fish and other animals, and in some areas we had the chance to let him roam and play. At the end of our trip, we visited the guest shop and I was pleased that they had items for his age group and a variety of items at different price points. I can't wait to visit again!
Everyone is very professional and friendly working together. The goal us to make the guests feel very special and well cared for.
Must go if you have little ones! I opted for the family package, and would recommend to anyone that lives in the city. The package includes unlimited pass for all Audubon facilities for the year
Loved it! So easy to walk through, so much to see and so enteraining for all ages! Will be coming again!
A must stop when visiting new Orleans. The exhibits are great and informative
Wonderful aquarium! Would definitely go again. Have been twice already, always enjoyed it. Friendly staff, good location.
Great place to hang a few hours
Very well done
The building is clean and most of the exhibits were nice (other than the empty seahorse tanks), but I hardly got to enjoy any of it due to hoards of barely supervised children and yelling parents. My husband and I came here for our honeymoon, and of course we expected it to be crowded, but the sheer amount of people jammed into this building made it impossible to enjoy most of the exhibits or even eat.
Love this place.Great aquarium right in the water front of the Mississippi River. I really thought the seahorses were great!
This aquarium seems more kid-oriented than I was expecting, but it's a cute little aquarium and we had fun.
Great for kids, lots of interesting info on local aquatic wildlife. A little pricey for how much is there, but nice none the less. Do NOT park in the surface lot next door, it cost us $39 to park. Could have walked 100ft more and only paid $20 in the parking garage.
Not the largest aquarium, but well maintained and a decent variety of critters to look at. No sky diving is allowed on the premises.
I thought the museum was okay! I was expecting more of it. I really enjoyed the Mayan section of the aquarium.
Petting the stingrays was fun, and the Maya exhibit is very well done.
The staff from Audubon Aquarium was top notch. The ticket entrance included a 3D movie of your choice and Sherman upon determining that my wife was suffering from an acute plantar fasciitis guided us to the top of the theatre via an elevator and provided my wife a wheel chair for the aquarium part of this great experience. Btw the aquarium was very enjoyable. Loved the experience.
