This aquarium is fun and had lots to look at. All the kids on the field trip had a great time. However it was pretty warm inside the day we went. I also think the price is a little high compared to our favorite aquarium in Chattanooga.

The aquarium was bigger than when I originally thought but was still very small when compared to the Atlanta aquarium. The biggest selection was of fish. There was way to many children, whose parents did not care what they did. It was very over priced for what they had inside.

So much to see and do! My (toddler) daughter's favorite part is watching the penguin show and touching the sting rays. My favorite part is the bird area and the frogs. We both love going in the summer to beat the NOLA heat! It's an easy streetcar ride away from much of the rest of the city (which is much cheaper and relaxing than driving).

If you need a place that is entertaining and out of the heat, this is the place to go! Lots of photo ops, easy to follow layout too. They have a "food court" if you get hungry and we got to pet the stingrays. A movie at the end made it complete. Great family fun.

This was a nice aquarium with a nice layout. There were parts of it under construction during our visit but it wasn't really noticeable or inconvenient. The penguins were fun to watch and the seahorses were very beautiful. The parakeet room was a surprise and probably my favorite. These little birds will land on your shoulders, your back, your clothes and just hang out with you. They really enjoyed hanging out all over my husband until a bird from the outside flew by and scared them all up into the tree.

this was so bad I traveled almost 2 hours away to not have full experience. some animals wasnt even at the aquarium. I am so disappointed. I would never come back it definitely wasn't worth the price. $26+ per person only to be here 20 minutes. I would want my money back

Very large and diverse aquarium. Small food court but good pizza. The tree top loop was a nice little walking tour. Beware the birds, they bite. The penguins were adorable and one name Elmer was very photogenic. If you like the water life I d recommend going here.

Disappointing visit to what acquaintances told me ...

Disappointing visit to what acquaintances told me was a must-see in New Orleans. We visited during COVID and the aquarium seemed clean and was not crowded due to timed entrance tickets. However, two major exhibits were closed and the remainder of the exhibits seemed to need an update. We literally made it through the entire facility in 30 minutes. It may be nice for younger kids, but not older elementary students, not so much. For $30.00 a piece I was expecting more.

Super beautiful and clean place to visit. If you're from out of town it's great on rainy days. Some of the exhibits are amazingly well done and others are just okay. I generally love seeing jellyfish but that was my least favorite. Not many in it which is fine but it's also just a exceptionally plain tank. The big main tank was wonderful with great species in it. Above they have viewing holes which the younger kids love to sit and watch thru. They have lots of feedings and viewings. Also do feed the birds, its a fun time and they'll land on you. Juat check your clothing afterwards. They have paper towels and soap to clean off. They're in the middle of building a new exhibit but it doesn't detract. You also get a free movie with your ticket. We saw the one about hurricane Katrina and it was very informative and well done. All in all a great place to visit with kids. Lots of photo opps too!

This aquarium had a cool area where you could take a staircase to a walking ledge and look down on everything in the lush rainforest area. It took us a short time to do the whole aquarium but if you read everything it would take you a while.

I think my issue is that I've been to much bigger aquariums that have spoiled me. It was ok. Had a big tank, lots of small tanks. Didnt' really see much interactive areas for kids (one small touch pool in the kids area) Didn't see anything for adults.

Well maintained and fat healthy specimens. They have chosen to limit the number of species so as to control the health of there keep. Visit here to witness how captive animals should be treated. You will love it.
