We love the aquarium. I'm from New Orleans and have been going since I was a child. Now I have children and they love it just as I did.

Very exciting and educational facility. Definitely visit the budgie room!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Had great opportunities to interact with wildlife. Right near Riverwalk.

This is just a great place to take your family and have a day out downtown New Orleans

Was quite enjoyable the military discount was buy 1 get 1 free for tickets so well worth it for military

Not as good as it was before Katrina, but they are getting back to it. Plan to knock out half a day here at most. Glad to see they started including the IMAX ticket with the aquarium admission.

Was quite crowded and the food court was grossly over priced.

A beautiful place located in a very beautiful area.

A great alternative to the Quarter. Well presented exhibits, great imax theater. Limited food choices, eat before you go. Don't go on the weekend!

Part of the zoo membership, we took our little 1.5-year-old and he had a blast. It gets a little crowded and the food isn't much to write home about but the variety of aquatic beasts are good. There's a nice jungle setting in there too but the tree house was off limits!?

A great place to visit with baby kids! So many exhibits to view and interact with.

Nothing spectacular about this aquarium. It is the same as all other aquariums. Penguins were more difficult to see because the glass window was all dirty there. Very big fishes were interesting to watch.

Overpriced for what it is. Even really taking our time, we saw the whole thing in less that 50 minutes.

Love the aquarium! I ve been coming here since I was a kid. Now I bring my daughter every few months! We are members of Audubon Institute and it s WELL worth the investment, in my opinion.

Smaller aquarium but good rainy day activity for all.

It is a must visit in New Orleans. It is spectacular!

The location of the aquarium is great - right on the rviers edge. This aquarium has a good mix of habitats. It has a Mayan section with a walkway under the water. It has a Amazon forest, Mississippi River and Gulf of Mexico section. Very soon a shark pool will open that looks awesome. The Parakeet section is pretty fun as well. The only draw back is parking. There are a few paid lots. I recommend the lot adjacent to Canal Place.

It's ok for a small aquarium. It has a part where you can pet the little sting rays and a huge tank to watch sharks and sea turtles in. However, for the money, it's not that big, and there wasn't anything that I hadn't seen at another aquarium.

Kinda pricey for what you get. It took a little under a hour to get through the whole thing. I definitely believe its time for some updates and expansion.

Amazing visit to the aquaruim! We arrived right when they were opening to avoid the large crowds. We purchased our tickets thru TripShock for discounted tickets. Would definitely visit again.

Great aquarium.... the only reason not a 5 star is the jellyfish area is so small.

It was an aquarium. It had a movie theater that made it different then others. We enjoyed the family time.

My 2-year old had a great time. Easy choice for a day out on a hot summer day.

There's a few cool things about it, but its much smaller than most aquariums. Its worth it if you buy the combo of it and the zoo, but I wouldn't spend the money to just visit it. Would be great for kids 3-7yo. Not a lot of animals but educational.

Not crowded, quite large, good choice of exhibits, designer quality interiors. Completely satisfied with the time spent.

Overcrowded and overpriced. I have more fish in my backyard at home. Don't waste your time or money. Parking is a nighmare

They charge very expensive to enter, it would be very fair to pay $ 15 dollars per adult, and children up to 12 years old do not pay, as well as those of the third age!

Loved very much. Upgraded from when I attended decades ago. Thanks for the Taylor Student Award experience.

The kiddo loved it and we had a lot of fun. Perfect for a rainy day visit.

Really crowded in the shopping area not enough security to stop someine from snatching your children.

There was alot of construction so seemed like alot ot the exhibits were closed. Didnt seem fully worth the money.

Ok so beautiful place lovely enclosures. But watching a fish dying and floating around was kind of unpleasant. Then the sting ray feeding we werent able to get through the mass of screaming kids to see the rays as the tank is in the kid zone. We left without feeding them. Everything else was great and food was fairly affordable for a tourist stop

Very unique and interesting aquatic creatures to see. My children loved the shark tank, sea otters, jellyfish and sea horses the most.

Awesome Rainforest is nicely crafted. After that take a stroll on the Riverwalk which is right outside

Fun little aquarium! We did both the zoo and the aquarium while in NOLA. Was surprised that the aquarium is a bit small. Easy to get to via public transport. Fun fact: the zoo/aquarium offer a combo ticket. Very affordable and it gets you admission into both venues!

My goddaughter and son loved our visit here for Seal-a-bration! There was so much for them to do. My god daughter was really excited about the petting tank, while my son could have spent all day pretending to drive boats.

Check out the sting ray petting area! and the penguins section is great

I love a good aquarium. Every state I go to I visit there aquarium. This is one of my favorite.

The aquarium is wonderfully maintained, the exhibits are astounding and informative. We got to see the otter show which I think was my favorite part of the day. The parakeet sanctuary is also something you must experience. The aquarium has become one of my favorite parts of this wonderful city and I go back every couple of months.

I was disappointed for the money we spent. They need to add more exhibits.

Any time you can get to this place, do it! Could have sat there all day!

First time visiting since Katrina. Bird exhibit was the best thing at an aquarium...says alot!

Beautiful place well kept and an overall entertaining and educational experience

The Aquarium facing the Mississippi river deserves a one time visit. Although, I felt that tickets are bit overpriced. One can also purchase a combined ticked which allows the entry to insectarium and Butterfly garden located nearby. Although visiting insectarium was not worth it. The ticket also includes an entry to giant screen theater for one movie screeing where you can choose out of three movies running in parallel.

Great atmosphere! The animals and fish are amazing to see!

Buy your tickets at the door for the same price as on line and NOT pay the 5$ "convenience" fee!

Nice place to cool off from the heat and check out the beautiful creatures. Would have been 5 stars but upstairs was under construction.

Every time we come to the aquarium our experience is awesome! I highly suggest the season passes for all five places. Everyone always has a :-) and is very helpful, in the prices in the gift shop are very reasonable!! The exhibits are always very nice and well kept.

Gorgeous experience that captivated our toddlers. Want a membership so we can go regularly as a family.

Had so much fun watching the gulf feeding. Wish there was more interactive exhibits. Trips always seem so fast.
