The aquarium it self was decent , other than some animals clearly needed more room. Also there was a giant lack of staff stopping non stop banging on glass and tanks from children. I felt extremely bad for the animals/fish.
This was a really fun trip. Definitely great to visit if you have children with you. We walked from our hotel on canal st but parking is readily available and lyft/Uber is abundant. The whole visit was about three hours and that was with the short imax style movie that is highly recommended. Plenty of places to eat nearby after and the mall is a short walk from there.
Not bad at all! I see that they're adding more to the aquarium so that's promising. I found the ticket prices for admission to be a tad bit high based off what you're getting.
Awesome experience! I will definitely be coming again.
You definitely get your money worth. Especially if you get the zoo/aquarium pass
Awesome! I'm really loving it! Papa John's sausage personal pan. Great came out hot as hell! Always great pizza.a busy place.
This place was a little small for the price, but overall a very good time. Could probably make it through in 2-3hours, but our admission included a ticket to one of the 3D films showing in the aquriums theater which was about another 25mins long. Good for kids and clean for what it was. There's Papa John's inside and I'd highly recommend feeding the Parakeets near the food court. They're sweet and will fly right up and land on you!
The Audubon Aquarium is not pre-Katria quality but still worth the visit. Education stands so youngsters can learn to respect our aquatic friends.
Excellent exhibits including peguins.modern comfortable facility.
Beautiful! I think this is the biggest aquarium I've been to! I like that there's a gift shop and family photos available for purchase
Great place to visit! We spent around 4 hours exploring here. We got there around 1230p. We were able to see the fish fed in the large aquarium, had time to eat lunch, then watch the otters eat, then feed the sting rays, and finish with the penguin feeding. It was perfectly timed! Very knowledgeable staff!!
Been visiting since I was a child on school field trips; I liked it way back when, and still find myself enjoying it as I now take my 4 kids. The Mayan display is still a fave, while the cute lil penguins are a "must". It seemed bigger when I was a child, but still a fun place to explore, especially with your kids or with the heart of a child.
Great place to visit for young and old. Lots of beautiful exhibits, and the animals are well taken care of.
Great exhibits! Loved the otters, penquins and parakeets.
One of the best aquariums in the country! Gets a little pricey for a family though.
Fun for the family and a nice change of pace from the French Quarter. It wasn't overcrowded and the food options weren't busy at all for a late lunch.
Pretty fun, kid friendly location just down town. Get the audobon package and you can visit all three locations as many times as you wish throughiut the year.
Aquarium was nice but what I liked was the theater. Great visit for my family
Good place to spend time with the family and learn about and see animals you wouldn't normally. How often can you hand feed a stingray (for example)?
Great staff... the children learned a lot from the staff during our visit.
My first instinct is to say not worth how much they charge to get in. But it's just ok. Couple of things I liked but that's. Maybe worth for kiddos to experience it.
Can get a little crowded and seems a little short, but overall it's worth the price of admission. Great selection of fish and other animals.
We had a great time at the aquarium - not every exhibit was open because of COVID but on 90 plus degree days this is a great place to cool off and bring the kids for a relaxing afternoon. We will be back!
If you can't get tickets for half price or better, pass and do something else.
I think it's pretty, but to Charge 30 bucks for a 2 hour tour.. no thanks.
Beautiful aquarium, very well organized, where the marine and aquatic world of the Americas is made accessible and attractive to children, with a series of interactive and colorful activities designed especially for them. Really interesting and informative.
I would give it 5 stars but i believe its overpriced for its size
Great way to beat the summer heat! A good time for adults and kids both. Convenient to the trolly and parking.
Very nice aquarium. Great viewing areas and very roomy. Great way to escape the heat or rain when in New Orleans.
This is a great Aquarium. But it is not super huge. It will only take you a couple of hours at most. It does not come close to the Monterey Bay aquarium, but is better than the one in Long Beach, CA.
An amazing must see for anyone visiting the downtown New Orleans area
Super friendly staff and overall family friendly environment! Will definitely come back again.
I would rate it a 3.8. Cool inside, very clean, layed out well. Cool exhibits. Just thought it was a little small for $29.
Just a bummer they had so much renovation going on.
A wonderful family friendly attraction as always. Lots of nice exhibits and educational information. Kids love the stingray petting pool, feeding the birds and watching the penguins.
Unbelievable All three generations loved it. Loved New Orleans. Louisiana beatiful.
Great family friendly New Orleans attraction you can stay at for hours! We keep coming back and are always satisfied
This is likely the best aquarium I have been to! It also provides bags full of sensory items (kooshes, headphones, etc) to improve the experience of those with Sensory Processing Disorder or ASD!
Very good experiences here for the family! We only done the aquarium due to time, but it was more than enough! Ice cream break was perfect and enjoyed by all! Lots of photo ops and the animals were beautiful and very clean experience!
Loved the aquarium and all the exhibits! The massive shark aquarium was incredible and I spent at least 20 minutes standing there marveling at the size and quantity of the fish on display. The sculptures made from ocean trash we're also amazing. The penguin display was my favorite, though. I would definitely come back here on my next visit. The only thing that seemed to be lacking was the otter display. There wasn't much to it and the glass was a bit dirty.
Expensive and there were alot of exhibits closed. They really should discount a little per closed exhibit
It was just too small that you can explore the whole area for just an hour. You need to go out for the giant 3D theater which is included in your aquarium ticket.
i found it to be over priced right down to the gifted shop.
This is simply the best place to be on a hot day if you want to get out to do something. I personally come here with my family about 1 a month, twice if my wife is off during the week. It never gets old!!
It's OK , it's honestly pretty small. You can walk through in less than an hour. Not much to look at. You get more out of going to the zoo, and you don't have to pay for parking.
Bright New building. Great big screen theater. Awesome exhibits.
It was cool but I was expecting a lil more....some areas were under construction
Beautiful attractions with beautiful exhibits. I compare it to the Shed Aquarium in Chicago with cheaper admission. Absolutely loved it.
If you are in New Orleans, it is definitely worth a visit. The prices are high, but were else can you see a white alligator? The exhibits are located along a path so you have a chance to see everything during your visit. There are regular feedings during visiting hours and there is a ray pet area.
My family enjoyed themselves and there was so much to do!
The experience was fun but having been to 2 much better Aquariums I was dissappointed for the price we paid...Also waited 1 hour for pizza at the resturant inside that could not get our order correct for our starving and fussy kids. Generally the customer service of Downtown New Orleans Sucked EVERYWHERE.
The kids had a blast. You have to do the feed the stingrays area. My kids thought it was amazing
Exhibits were great. Lots of explanations and info.
When we visited several middle-school aged groups visited. They were brought in and turned loose with positively no supervision. Our grandchildren (aged 2 and 4) were playing in an area limited to age 4 and below. The middle-aged kids would run in and push the little ones down. We had to stand at the entrance to allow the little ones to play.
Has gone down hill from years past. Not worth the price of admission
Good moving pace through the exhibits. You could move as quickly or pace yourself. Good amount of fish and other things to see.
