Ran into a bind when I discovered my newly purchased residence had no functioning AC. A low class organization selected by my warranty company had come out before I arrived and completely failed to fix the problem. On a Friday afternoon I reached out to Renee at Appleton Campbell and within less than two hours Davy was at the house providing a solution (the other company wanted me to wait until Monday which would have left me and my family in sweltering heat all weekend).

Davy was friendly, respectful and incredibly helpful. A potentially rough start to my new home ownership experience was quickly resolved. All around it was a great experience and I am highly impressed with this company. Thank you!

I wasn t getting equal water pressure throughout the house and WT came out and advised I get a new water softener system; the one I had wasn t doing what it was supposed to anymore...it was old! I asked a million questions and WT was very patient with me, answered every single one, which made me very comfortable and I really appreciated that. He s very knowledgeable and helpful and puts the customer at ease. Liam and Glenn assisted in the installation and did an excellent job. Professional and fun crew which made the experience a lot less stressful. Would highly recommend this company as I m very happy and pleased with my experience and the job was thorough and very well done!

Hot water heater blew and got it replaced same day. All techs that responded were more than courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. I ve worked with Appleton and Campbell before with other issues, and won t use anyone else in the future. A+++

Mike Loy did a great job repairing our master toilet and did a thorough job checking and rechecking work including closing garage etc upon leaving.

People are very polite and nice, but the service call was put off 2 days (without heat!) Now that we have the service contract I'm hoping that will change.

I had maintenace today on my Air Conditioning with Chris L. He did a wonderful job, explained everything, and told me what I needed to get fixed. I highly recommend A.C, for their excellent service.

Friday we had Johnathan and Danny out to our home to install a water right ONE filter. We had been having sediment pile up in in our shower head and Appleton Campbell was able to provide us with the proper diagnosis and up front pricing for the issue. We were super pleased with the professionalism and respect that Johnathan and Danny provided to our home and look forward to working with Appleton Campbell for many years to come!

Ethan arrived at the time stated. His appearance was professional as all techs have shown. He was thorough on his explanation of the inspection he was going to perform. After inspection he pointed out a couple of issues with our system. He explained the issues and pricing. I agreed to fixing the issues. He explained in details the work he was going to do. Work got done in a timely manner. No high pressure sales pitch. Just a young man who obviously takes pride in his work. You can find cheaper companies but you will not find better service/people.

Emailed Sunday night and got a call first thing monday morning and had Davy at my door in about 45 minutes. Davy was very informative and walked me through several options and recommendations.

Ronnie from Appleton Campbell came out to my house to determine why my furnace had stopped working. He was very polite and professional and listened to the symptoms and thoroughly went through the unit and identified the issue was with the controll board. I had told him the board had been replaced a couple of years ago by another company so he checked and found that it was still underwaranty.

From the initial assessment to the toilet install I was impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the crew. In a year or so I will have my second toilet replaced and I want these guys to do it.

For years we have depended on Appleton Campbell and their highly skilled technicians. We recommend them to all in the VA area. Bill Dooley highly skilled technician for our boiler and radiant heat system.

We recently had a blockage in our kitchen, Technician W.T. Settle, came out on a saturday quickly identified our plumbing system, and cleared blockage. Left work area absolutely spotless!!

Davy K. was great! He explained the issues concerning hot water heater and HVAC systems and presented the options available. We are new to the area and Appleton Campbell, so it was reassuring.

We needed a diagnostic check on our very old residential boiler and heating system. David Forney came out and gave us a comprehensive review as well as an estimate on a new one. He was professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We were very impressed with the entire interaction.

Doing my research found Appleton Campbell to be the best choice. Our experience confirmed this was the best decision. We work hard for our income and cannot afford to waste money in maintaining our home with poor workmanship or substandard material.

We had a need to replace our leaking water heater. Appleton Campbell was very helpful, professional, and the technician was very helpful! Are they cheap, no, but then again, their work and material (new water heater) is of much higher quality over big box or low quality competitors.

I spoke with Renee Davis about a noise in our furnace. She set an appointment up and Dave came to inspect our unit. It turns out the bearings are going bad in our blower motor causing the oscillation. While there he further inspected the complete furnace unit and air conditioner. He gave a complete report on both showing me the wear and tear on the burner and commenting on the great condition of the A/C unit. He had a new technician with him and was giving him(along with me) great insight into what he was looking at and why. The entire experience was on time, extremely professional and effective.

The security light on my property had to be replaced as it had died. I called Appleton Campbell to install a new light that I had purchased. Glenn was sent out the same day. He worked tirelessly in inclement weather and got the job done to perfection. The new security light works great. While the price seemed high, I am extremely satisfied with the outcome. These days you get what you pay for. I recommend Appleton Campbell to anyone needing electrical services.

Tim, Chris, Preston, and Ron provided outstanding service and support replacing water heater and expansion tank quickly and competently. I could not have asked for better service.

Appleton Campbell just did a complicated 2-day gas furnace/AC unit installation attached our home. It was, probably, the most professional and well-handled vendor experience I have ever had, particularly with some complications that occurred due to things found after the old system was removed. From the sales process to the pre-project staff to the office staff who alerted me each time the crew was heading to my home, to the on-site crew of Mike W., Danny R. and Jake A., the experience was A+. Even when the one issue was presented, they came up with a solution and I remained confident they would. They were extremely clean and neat, during and after they were done. I did getting three bids for this and they were slightly higher than the others, but I felt more comfortable and frankly, I believe I got my moneys worth as they also had to fabricate and redo a complicated return and vent line, and they also moved the gas line, refrigerant line and other conduits/poles/switches to a more convenient area than with my prior (similar but older) system. In short, I felt like the value was there. They also included a Home Savings Agreement for one year and left me with a consolidated notebook of all relevant documents. Cheapest is not always better, and with all they did, the pricing was very, very close. I've known AC for years in the community, but only used them on a couple of occasions. I've become a huge fan and will use them again (I have other systems!).

UPDATE: For some reason the above review didn't post from this past April. Sorry! Since then, a few weeks ago, we had Appleton Campbell come out to address an HVAC issue with an older system. Seth came out and was outstanding. Like all their staff, he was extremely professional and friendly. He answered my many questions patiently and addressed the issue successfully. I feel confident with all of their HVAC staff. I also want to compliment the office staff - they are outstanding, friendly, responsive and prompt and always update when someone is coming. I also had Appleton Campbell come this week to address an electrical issue and after one inconclusive visit, they sent Stacey who took care of the problem confidently and credited back the fee from the first visit. They always seem to backup their work and make things right. They are not the cheapest but have very professional, safe and confident staff. They schedule promptly as necessary (even moving around prior appointments, follow-up well, come when they are scheduled, back up their work and are exceedingly professional, Thanks AC!

We recently signed a service agreement with Appleton Campbell to cover HVAC electrical, and plumbing. I had the pleasure of working with Chris who came out to perform the initial HVAC check to prepare for the first inspection in the spring. First, he was a super nice guy, but was also very professional and helpful. He worked efficiently and carefully to check the units, he explained everything that was doing, and he patiently and thoroughly answered any question I had. Because of employees like Chris, we look forward to working with Appleton Campbell and feel confident that the systems in our house will always be well taken care of! Thank you!

Glenn came out to provide an estimate for removing existing light fixtures in my home and installing new ones. He arrived on time, was professional, provided a reasonable estimate, and was able to do one of the replacements at that time.

Thomas, Cory, and Zach came back a few days later to do the rest of the work. They were fantastic! They got to work as soon as they arrived and were neat and efficient. They listened to what I wanted and got the work done in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend Appleton Campbell!

Price is always a bit at the high end but worth it as I can always count on them doing the a great job and pushing through until it is done. For my latest work. I had a plumbing leak in the basement. I took steps to ensure that no further damage was done. I called and they had someone there the same day, even though the technician, Dale Beckett, arrived at 7 PM, he worked through until 9:45 to get it done. He cleaned up the mess and was on his way with a friendly attitude. I will pay a bit more to have folks I can count on in a pinch - generally, you get what you pay for.

Exceptional service from start to finish! Many thanks to all who helped when our furnace quit on a Friday afternoon. I already was prepped for a full HVAC replacement given the system was aging. They were able to dispatch a technician within 1 hour to work the estimate and arrange for space heater delivery within 2 hours. They worked throughout the weekend to arrange materials and then provided a flawless installation the following Monday.

Kudos to Hailey, Ronnie, Luther, Travis, Roger, Zach and Justin for the team effort to keep my family warm and install a new system basically the next day given the weekend.

Awesome team from Dave K who made recommendations on heat pump systems to the awesome team of Roger, Dylan and Reid who installed the unit and explained everything to me and answered all my questions. I went with their best unit and after they went over the features I know I made the right choice. The team was courteous and very down to earth. This includes the staff I spoke to on the phone (I spoke to a few people but remember speaking to Renee D a few times). We have been using Appleton Campbell for years and have always had quick professional service. We greatly appreciate the fast response by Bill Dooley when our AC broke. He was very knowledgeable and professional, he quickly diagnosed the issue and patiently worked with to choose a new AC system. Our new system was installed quickly by Roger and Mike...they both were extremely polite and knowledgeable, staying late to ensure the system was working, work area was clean, and to give an overview of system use. Did I mention clean...the entire installation area is spotless. Thank you Bill, Roger, Mike, and Appleton for the great service.

Called Appleton to request emergency service for boiler failure on a very cold day. Within two hours Ethan arrive, analyzed the problem, had the part in his truck and was finished in a timely manner. The boiler was operational within four hours of my call. The price was right. I checked the wholesale price of the part. Ethan was the perfect technician: professional, courteous, and very informative about the whole process. I've signed up for their maintenance.

You can only have two of the three: fast, good, or cheap. This visit, as with most of Appleton Campbell service we've had, was fast and good. We would definitely rate the company 5 stars if they were more price competitive. The technician was exceptionally knowledgeable and equipped to do the job.

We had Appleton Campbell replace our 20+year old hot water heater. The two company technicians did an outstanding job of removing our old system and installing a new system. They were very professional and skilled individuals. They did a great job for us. We are repeat customers of Appleton Campbell and highly recommend them to anyone.

Follow up on the hot water heater: after a few days the newly installed hot water heater appeared to have a slow leak in its base. Contacted Appleton Campbell and asked if this was normal for the heater. They said not at all and immediately sent out a company plumber, Dale Beckett, to check out the unit. Dale did an outstanding job of finding that the leak was the result of a valve in the unit that had bad threating (which came from the manufacturer). The company immediately replaced the entire heater which works perfectly now. Appleton Campbell did an outstanding job of correcting a problem that was not their fault. Also, their plumber, Dale was very professional and competent and did an excellent job of identifying the problem.

Roger and Zach were on time, took great care of the inside house not to dirty anything. The install took almost all day but was done very professionally. They took their time explaining how the system worked and talked me through WiFi setup. I would recommend them for sure.

They know their stuff, not just out for a sale. They will be back twice in the next year (for free!) to check out our new system to make sure it is working perfectly. Appleton Cambell did a great job installing a new heat pump for us. They went the extra mile to get the necessary additional wiring run to the furnace and were able to do so without cutting any holes in the drywall. They were very professional and thorough.

He did a good job of presenting the work that needed done, what could be done in addition to that and the cost for each step.

Ethan was our technician. Our call wasn't remotely considered a priority, IMO. He came ~9PM on a Saturday. We would have been fine waiting till Monday. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was extremely pleased with Appleton Campbell's service. They kept us in the loop throughout the day.

Coldest day of the year and no heat!! Not Good!!! 20 minutes after placing a call Davy Kerns shows up and has us back in business in less than 30 minutes!! Can't put a price on service like that!!! Great attitude and quality craftsmanship!!

Appleton Campbell was the most professional, skilled, friendly, and efficient HVAC company I have ever encountered. I had a 30+ year old HVAC system. Rather than throw another $1000 into it for a temporary fix, I had the whole system replaced in the middle of the hot COVID summer of 2020. The installation techs, Roger and Zach (wearing masks in my presence) shrugged off the heat, and went into the crawl space of my house and accomplished major things from installing a new oil furnace, new Carrier heat pump, ran a new oil line, installed new duct work, and ran new wires to install a new thermostat upstairs ( which turned into a more difficult task than we all expected). These are True Professionals!
The total HVAC system replacement was expensive, but not out of line with an estimate I received from another company which proposed an inferior system, in my opinion.
The pain of the total cost was alleviated somewhat by using Appleton Campbell's relationship with Carrier to get 3 year, 0 percent, financing. I decided to spread the cost of this major home repair over the three years, and the monthly payments are reasonable.
From beginning to end, I had great professionalism and service from Appleton Campbell. It's obvious that the company takes pride in the skill and professionalism of its techs, and the friendliness and helpfulness of the individuals who answer the calls (e.g. Angela, Haley).
Appleton Campbell did a great job with my HVAC, and now I am considering them for my plumbing needs. Appleton Campbell is a first class company when it comes to hearing and air conditioning--i.e. HVAC. (I'll write another review if and when I use their Plumbing division).

Called out about a water heater that was flipping the breaker. The technician came out (Glenn) and was Extremely helpful in explaining the problem, as well as providing possible solutions. All in all I was very pleased with their service.

We had Michael Loy come to our home to take a look at why our water heater was leaking. He quickly found the problem and explained the possible solutions with wording that was easy to understand. He was very professional and personable.

Couldn t be easier. Appointment was 11-2 and Matt was ringing the doorbell at 1102. They send you a picture and trackers for their techs when they are on their way as well. Matt was super professional, diligent, and went WAY above what I expected. A simple install of a new outlet took 5 hours because of some issues (found out it was not his fault but he didn t just give up on the project) and did everything he could to make it work. Absolutely great quality and diligence on his part. We definitely recommend Appleton Campbell and Matt to anyone. If you are wondering: Matt gave us an upfront price before ever starting the work. He even had a parts guy run a part to our house. No inefficiency in their efforts. Cleanup was done like no work was ever performed. Bravo.

With an initial recommendation from Kenny, Kevin and Carter installed new sump pump system. All three knew their business and were very informative as to the new pump system. On top of that, they were very personable. Great job!

We have had 2 hot water heaters installed by them, new furnace and airconditioner installed. Always pleasant folks to work with. A little more pricey than others but always good to work with.

Very happy with my Appleton Campbell experience. My AC stopped cooling on Saturday evening and Chris the technician was there Sunday morning. The bad news was my 22 year old system was unrepairable. The good news was a crew was on site Tuesday morning and worked all day in 90+ heat to have me cool by Tuesday evening. The guys were in and out of the house all day and after they left there was no dirt or mess for me to clean up, they took care of it all. I have been an Appleton Campbell custom for years and they have always provides amazing service with professional techs. I placed a call in the morning and a technician was out before noon.David our tech was outstanding. He was on time, professional and answered every question in detail. He identified and fix the AC issue right away which meant a lot on a 90 degree day. The pricing is always fair and upfront and I would recommend Appleton to anyone needes HVAC service.

I had a routine furnace cleaning this week and my tech, David found damage that ultimately required a new furnace unit. He was punctual, polite, and extremely knowledgeable about the system and it s components. He walked me through my options and gave great advice for both my family s safety and best financial avenues towards the new unit. He was courteous, thorough, and followed all COVID safety guidelines which was very important. He was able to get me set up for an install in just 2 days time as I was on a major crunch with leaving the state. The gentlemen just left that installed the new unit and I couldn t be more pleased. Jason W and Micah L were my techs today and they were excellent. They also followed safe COVID protocol while we engaged. They were most thorough in laying drop liners from the entrance to the furnace. I did not have easy access but that did not deter them as they took it in stride and remained very polite and positive throughout the install. They worked very well together, and my new unit is absolutely perfect down to the new tank lines and ducts. They cleaned up everything, vacuumed and swept, definitely left my basement better than when they arrived! Lastly, after completion, Jason thoroughly broke down my new unit and how everything worked. We went over my new thermostat and all the paperwork, warranty, and safety guidelines with me and answered all my questions. I ve been an Appleton Campbell customer for a long time, and this is why. David, Jason, and Micah are the true excellence behind a company. This above and beyond customer service is a rarity these days in any business, and warrants such a lengthy review. I don t usually take the time to leave a review unless something is either extremely bad or really amazing. That being said, I m so very impressed with Appleton Campbell and our technician that came over today David Forney. He was above and beyond friendly, professional, fixed our non functioning AC no problem but most importantly what you look for in a service professional - honest and fair. We are new to the area and called Appleton Campbell because that s who the previous homeowners had used. They had their magnets it seemed all over the place. Now I understand why. We ll most definitely be downgrading the sears home warranty we just got without question will continue to use Appleton Campbell.
