Bill Dooly your service technician came to provide scheduled maintenance on our HVAC at Drs. Woodside, Sentz & Associates. He found a problem with one of our units that would have deemed us without heating in our dental practice. He placed a service call for the required repair and within 2 hours, we were up and running with better quality parts than prior to the issue. We recently moved to Fauquier County and called Appleton Campbell to perform a check on the existing heating and cooling system. Chris, the technician that came to our house, was so knowledgeable and very patiently explained to us how our system worked and the problems that he identified. I was very impressed with him and will definitely use Appleton Campbell in the future.

Technician Chris did a thorough and professional job of descaling my instant-on hot water tank and checking/servicing the water softener system. No complaints, other than how everything today seems to cost too much. (From parts to service charges).

Bill Dooly was assigned to come out the day after we put a call in for a strange humming coming from our furnace. He was very attentive and polite and got the issue sorted out pretty fast amid the chaos that is my house

I can't say enough great things about Appleton Campbell. The customer service is incredible. Our central AC died and they installed window units to keep us comfortable until they could put in our new system. We waited only a week for that, and their technicians were fast and professional and did an incredible job. I'm super pleased!

Old HVAC system died- called and got appointment rather quick. Davey came and explained my options- no pressure from him. Picked the duct less system. Dave came out a couple of times just to make sure it was the right fit for room (very much appreciated that). Then install day. James K. and Jason W. arrived Monday am and started preparing for install ( a big hiccup occurred but not Appleton Campbell s doing) but these 2 guys went above and beyond to get it installed and running. Things rapped up Tuesday evening and within 30 minutes our freezing room was toasty!! I can thank all involved for a wonderful experience and job. Two thumbs up to James and Jason for a great job. We ve always had great experiences with Appleton Campbell. David Forney installed our new HVAC unit and also did the check a few months later. Super kind and knowledgeable, bonus points for being unphased my chaotic home and crazy kids.

Recently, had a plumbing issue in our home. We contacted several local companies, but no appointments were available until next week. We contacted Appleton Campbell, and were offered a same day appointment. Our technician, Larry, arrived on time, promptly gave a quote, and proceeded to fix our problem. The price structure was very reasonable, and if parts were needed, the company dispatched a courier to deliver it, maximizing efficiency. Larry was very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The standard and quality of work surpassed my expectations. Appleton Campbell has earned our business for life, and we recommend them without reservation.

Professional, Prompt Service On Very Short Notice

Extremely impressed with the Appleton Campbell team all the way from the customer service to the field technicians (W.T. & Carter). A very professional experience from beginning to end. We called late in the afternoon and were able to get service completed the same day. Prices were fair, technicians were extremely knowledgeable and polite, and had a great work ethic. This will be the first place I call, in the future, for any of my home maintenance and repair needs!

David Forney from Appleton-Campbell came to do our annual heating system maintenance. He was prompt, professional and made some suggestions on how we can improve our systems operation from season to season. We've been with A-C for many years and David is another example of the top notch professionals who work there.

Appleton Campbell installed a new AC system for me. They ran into complications and the install took much longer than anticipated. The team of Jay and Dylan were pleasant and professional, respectful of my home and garden plantings, and very communicative regarding the status of the project. They were very diligent in identifying the problem and finding a good solution. I also want to compliment their colleagues Jason, Jeff and Stacy for their assistance in completing the project.

The technical services provided by Appleton Campbell's representative, Mr. Bill Dooly, were performed in a highly capable and helpful manner. Appleton Campbell had previously made note of the fact that I am asthmatic, and Mr. Dooly brought to my attention a product (Air Knight Air Purification System - PX5) which I purchased and which has indeed been helpful in alleviating my condition. For this I am very appreciative.

Two days ago we had a semi-annual inspection done on our systems and the tech (David) found our main level furnace after 15 yrs had worn out and was not safe; it had a leak exhausting carbon monoxide. He immediately shut the system down and provided us with various options to replace. Process was simple and easy!!! Two days later we have a new, more efficient furnace and A/C system. The techs (Rodger S, Zach W, Seth A) did an outstanding job with the install, cleaning, and explanation of the system. Couldn't be happier with the service and keeping us safe!!! Thanks!!!

I'm very pleased with the team Appleton and Campbell sent to my house. It was clear from the introduction, Jason was the head of his team, and Justin and Seth were intently watching and listening to all of his experience. Appleton Campbell's service person was respectful, efficient, and knowledgeable. He installed 6 smoke detectors plus carbon monoxide detector in a timely manner. We are extremely pleased with the service we received from the initial contact, via the internet and text communication, through the completion of the project.

Danny was the service technician who came out today. He was very friendly, polite, and answered each one of my many questions with a very detailed answer. He made the tasks that we are facing not so daunting, and explained a wide array of options available to us. Will definitely recommend Appleton Campbell in the future. Also, Angela who works their call lines was very helpful and friendly. The company also offers a wide variety of financing options, which was a great benefit.

We were pleasantly surprised when Mr. Bill Dooly showed up promptly at 8am for our Service check. Mr. Dooly went straight to work and at the same time answering our questions, explaining everything in detail. He modified our AC settings to increase system efficiency. What GREAT service. We lost all water to our house around 4pm. Placed a call and they were very responsive. They had to come back the next day but they were completely ready for the task at hand. Again, GREAT service.

Mike M. came today on a super hot weekend to check our non working ac unit. He was extremely friendly, relaxed and not pushy or entitled in any way. I showed him our house and he found that we needed a capacitor for the outdoor ac pump. we singed up for a bi yearly system check. He checked the other equipment and found the condensate line was not draining. He fixed that and few other minor things. Mike was very professional and polite. I am a contractor in Fauquier County and highly recommend Appleton Campbell for any service work. I found the pricing very fair. Especially for a holiday weekend.

December 29th, with a prediction of the coldest weather of the year to come is NOT the time to discover that a burst water pipe has flooded your basement and stopped both heat and water. Despite the impending weekend/holiday, the weather, and the fact that I live off a dirt road some 30 miles from the nearest Appleton Campbell office, two repairmen were on the scene within an hour of my call. Both Tyler Fletcher (HVAC) and Danny Shoop (plumbing) were polite, efficient and extremely helpful. Danny, in particular, was a real hero, getting a couple of feet of freezing water pumped out of the basement that evening, and communicating with me by phone (I had left for warmer lodging) about the state of things and next steps to be taken. He even thought to take pictures for my insurance claim -- something I had not thought to do. I've used Appleton Campbell for several years now and have always found their service to be high quality -- but this emergency response was really more than anyone could expect, and I am very grateful for it.

Matthew M. performed a very thorough initial HVAC system check for me today. Upon completion of his inspection, Matthew explained that my eleven-year-old cooling system was in good working order; however, he advised me that my gas water heater needs repairs or replacement. Matthew carefully explained the options I had for repair/replacement of my water heater so that I could make an informed decision. I appreciated his advice and was very pleased with the service he provided.

My toilet cracked at the bottom and started leaking through the floor which leaked through the ceiling below. I called Appleton to come out and give me an estimate on a replacement. They came out today for the estimate and replaced the cracked toilet today. Tim K and Lee W were very professional and efficient. They took the old toilet out and cleaned up any mess left behind. Awesome job!

Recently we were in need of a plumber and an electrician. Mike Loy and Lester Morris arrived on time, both were professional and knowledgeable, made the repairs and gave us an estimate for other work we need done. Stacy Anns gave us estimates and explained in detail all needed repairs. I would not hesitate to recommend Appleton Campbell to neighbors and friends.

Based on a prior poor installation by Cropp Metcalfe the team of Mike Wright, David Forney, Danny Shoop and Josidih Shortridge diagnosed the problems & installed a new system for us.

Their professionalism and customer service was superb. After the installation I was debriefed on the installation, bluetooth programming of my new thermostat and what filters would need to be replace and the frequency.

I feel we are in good hands with this team and would highly recommend them for other future work such as electrical and plumbing.

David was very professional. He shared with me what was working and the probable life span of my AC unit which was much appreciated to allow me time and the awareness of what to come. I just recently had some standard electrical devices replaced by Shane, Cody, Cory and Dillon . Again very professional, easy to talk to and ask questions if needed. They were in and out within time frame and did a very neat job as well as cleaning up any left over residue. I am happy to be a customer of Appleton Campbell and will definitely use them for future jobs.

My experience today with Appleton Campbell was the best I've ever had with an HVAC service provider. Bill Dooly and Ed (sorry, forgot last name) responded to a call to check a burnt wire in the oil furnace unit in a property I have for sale (discovered by a home inspector) and diagnosed a potentially dangerous furnace fire situation that was missed by my previous service provider. They even noticed that the heat pump (dual-fuel system) was wired backwards and not blowing air in the correct direction, which they corrected. Their service was friendly, expert, and professional and left me feeling confident of the result. I will now switch the service contract at my residence to Appleton Campbell. I wish I had known of them sooner.

I called for an appointment to have someone come and evaluate my furnace needs and on the appointed day I called to confirm that they would be there... between 11 and 2. I was told yes I am on the schedule. By 1pm I was told that they were going to be an hour late.. then at 2 I was told possibly a few hours late. By 3 still no tech but another call telling me they may not come. At 3:30 the tech called and said they weren't coming at all. I had to take the day off, I lost a day's pay and vacation time and they could care less. I will go elsewhere. Beware if you are single and female. It appears they have no regard for your time or your schedule. I asked for a weekend appointment since they screwed up and I was told unless I was a current customer they wouldn't come out. Really bad customer service.

The tech, Eddie, was thorough and very polite. Did a great job and was very professional. I would not be at all concerned to have Eddie service my elderly parents' home - very trustworthy and good.

Appleton Campbell's tech Chris Lin conducted our system checkup this afternoon. He was extremely courteous and professional. He explained what he was going to do and how long it was going to take. Our one system is very new so there wasn't much to report, but he did report on our other system and made recommendations on how to control a possible mold issue that may be developing in the system. We were very satisfied with the service call.

I don t usually write reviews but in this case I felt it was the right thing to do. I have used the services of Appleton Campbell now for several years and there nothing bad to say .only great things. Renee Davis has been exceptional in getting the right service people out to my house for the correct job. A big shout out to all the service guys that have come out to work on my electrical, plumbing and heating and air-conditioning. The thing I like best is they give you one yes one price for a job and that is what you pay no matter how many hours it takes. They aren t the typical service company that comes in and tries to sell you upgrades or added equipment you don t need or can afford. However, they will recommend and explain other products but there is no pressure whatsoever to buy. One of the best products that was recommend and I eventually purchased was the air scrubber. I suffer from year round allergies and this has made such a huge difference in sleeping and breathing. When I finally decided I needed this product again Renee was so helpful .she had the serviceman bring 2 different types so he could explain both and be install the same day; this way I didn t have to take another day off work (big plus!!!!). I have purchased their maintenance agreement and I get a call every 6 months to have my systems checked this way if there is a potential issue then it can be caught before a bigger and more costly repair is needed. A big thank you to Appleton Campbell for providing such great service!

I urgently needed service for an AC unit that was not working. With temps outside in the upper 90's and humid for a few my outside unit quit working and our upstairs was heating up quickly. Davy came out right away and figure out the issue. I was back to cooling in no time!

He went above and beyond and went the extra mile! He was personable and professional and went over every problem in detail and developed a plan to repair everything.
