Finally after waiting forever for help, the lady wasn't concerned at all. She said come 15 mins before open next time.
Finally after waiting forever for help, the lady wasn't concerned at all. She said come 15 mins before open next time.
There was one man that had a black beanie on and he was helping me set up my new iPhone. I cant say how easy he made it and how much less of a problem it was then phone stores. I cant thank him enough. haha
It used to be that the consumer experience at an Apple Store was exceptional. Now it's like a version of Best Buy Purgatory. I mean in the past 4 visits to buy or get service at South Park and North Lake, it's been surprisingly poor. Conversely, the consumer experience at the Microsoft Store (down the hall at South Park where Apple Store used to be) over the past 2 or 3 visits has been exceptional. Last time I was there, they even served me a cold Diet Coke!
In this particular visit, I had an appointment with the Genius Bar. Upon checkin, I was discouraged from working with Genius Bar personnel because I have a software issue and GB is focused on hardware. So I spent 2.5 hours in the store on the phone with Apple Care trying to get an iPhone / iTunes sync problem fixed. Finally, the GB human came to help and, essentially, just told me to perform a restore from new to wipe the iPhone and start fresh. If the outcome was the only problem, it wouldn't be quite as bad. My rub on this is the condescending, indifferent attitude I pick up on from people at Apple these days.
I'm tellin' ya, Microsoft, Windows, Lenovo, and Android's Pixel are looking better every day.
I've found walk-in service at this store abysmal. While there are always people milling about toward the front of the store, I've never seen signage to indicate the check-in process. On this occasion, that left me to wander the store in search of a free clerk. By the time I determined that an employee was in fact taking names toward the front of the store for a waiting list, the line was 10 deep, so I walked. If you value your time, I advise against visiting this store without an appointment. If you have a phone issue, you'd be better off visiting your mobile carrier first. The solution here seems pretty simple, even if it may conflict with Apple's design aesthetic: Install signs and customer service lanes to explain the check-in process to customers.
Was so rude! Made me wait in line 20 mins after I had an appointment then told me I was not allowed to shop I had to wait in the line. I was in Miami and needed the same service they were fine with me walking around u till they were ready in Charlotte, they were rude do NOT go here. Unless you like to treated badly and talked down to.
If I could give zero stars I would
Had placed an order online and receive confirmation to pick up. Was only allowed a window of 2:30 PM to 3 PM. OK fine. Wanted to utilize curbside pick up.
My son was designated as the authorized person to pick up, and he was there at 2:30. Store was closed with a sign to use curbside pick up, never had these instructions on how until he got to the store.
He went down to curbside pick up, and while he was going down there I get a phone call from the store. They tell me we can t pick the order up today they are closed because of problems they had at another store.
I describe to them that my son is already there and was trying to pick up, but they did not care.
I asked to speak to the manager. He gets on the phone and tells me there s nothing he can do. Literally nothing. I asked Could he ship them to us, he said no.
I asked what could be done to help me out in this, because my son had spent an hour travel each way to pick these items up. They were to protect The new iPhone pros that we had purchased. He didn t care.
I told him cancel the order, he said he did not. I had to go online and figure it out myself is what he told me.
Ask to speak to his manager, and was blown off and given a number to call that says the office is closed.
What a total BS experience. Will never go to an Apple store again, and will give my business to non-Apple products and other stores.
In any other circumstance with any other store or manager, they would have found someway to help me, someway to make up for the significant inconvenience that they were causing, someway to take care of me to keep me as their customer. Apple does not Care at all about their customers.
Horrible horrible customer service
The guys there were super friendly and knew what they were doing. Very happy I decided to go to this location to get my phone fixed and replaced.
Minus 1,0000, WORST STORE EVER!!!!!! Rude people, you wait for hours, ridiculous price to pay for owning an Apple product.
Unhelpful staff that wasted hours of my time. Make an appointment or you're wasting your time. Also bring head phones to tune out the hundreds of ridiculous customers standing around listening to loud mobile devices.
Was very friendly and helped my bad gps issue on my iPhone! Was swapped out and sent on my way
This is a complete joke . They ask u to come by appointment and this is the line for my 15min time frame . Complete Joke , zero stars !!!!
My phone kept saying no service so I made an APPT. Brought it in and Robin helped me so much! She took me through every step and was very professional! I ve had a bad experience at Apple at north lake mall and they instantly told me i d Have to pay out of pocket and didn t even take a look at it to see what was wrong and South Park definitely always has the best customer service! We thought i d Had to pay for my iPhone to be replace, but she doubled check with her manager 2/3 times and instantly had my phone replaced at no charge! Turns out it was a hardware defect or something. We all know how bumming it can be to pay extra out of pocket, but she made sure of everything before we d continue on to the next step. Literally made sure 2/3 times! So thank you Robin! If you re reading this we need more sweet and professional people like you who actually cares and see what s wrong rather than taking your money! Definitely will be back at this location again!
They were very busy so I understand the wait. The Allie girl we bought the phones from in statesville hasn t helped one bit so we drove here and they were able to help us. It s a wait but worth it! DO NOT UPGRADE IN THAT STORE OR BUY ANYTHING IN THAT STORE!
Always fun to go in the Apple store and see what's new in the marketplace this store has it all
My last visit was amazing!
My husband and I purchased the leather iPhone 8 cases ($50 each) in late September. We LOVE them but were very displeased with how quickly they damaged/wore down after only a month. We couldn t exchange them sooner than 30 days because my husband was out of town for a month after. When we finally went in to exchange them, the rep said that the cases had a 1-year warranty on them but that she d allow one-time exchange in-store since we were dissatisfied with the product. We ended up choosing cheaper, more durable cases more suitable for everyday life, but eventually want to get the leather cases again to switch out occasionally. Overall, VERY pleased and satisfied with the customer service that day. Thanks, Apple!
Today was my first time visiting this location, and it will be my last. Very disappointed at my experience.
My last experience was not the best at all. Davis was good, Christian was ok but refused to assist and Jason was probably the worst manager I have ever come across. If I didn't have to go to this store I would never go again.
Customer service reps run around like chickens with their heads cut off. Habitually sold out of Airpods. How am I supposed to flex on everyone without Airpods?
I went in for a battery replacement. Afterwards phone crashed repeatedly, did not update battery life, and failed to backup without crashing. They gave me a "New" phone. The camera, flashlight, and bluetooth do not work. Im back at store now, wishing that I had never come here to begin with.
Great customer service. They replaced my iPad Mini 5, which was still under warranty, with a new one, due to a problem with the screen
This store is constantly inadequately staffed to provide customer service. You have 20 people to put you in line, but no one to actually help.
New to the area. Was unsure of what to expect at this store location. We were met with knowledgeable staff and short wait times. Would highly recommend this store and it s staff. We will be back!
I usually go in having an appointment. And both times I went, I was tended to fairly quickly after I was seated!!! Staff was very friendly ! And helpful!!
Bright and clean!! Everything you think it will be for an Apple store!
Tired of speaking to robots on the phone!! Let me speak to an actual person in sales already!! Horrible service
On February 12th we purchased a Mac Air at this store. I wrote a check and then realized I had been overcharged. I offered to write a second check but the Sales Associate, Katherine Darling, assured us that we would received a refund in the mail. We patiently waited; however, we started making inquires after 6 weeks. On more than one occasion, the store assured us that the matter had been escalated and we would hear from a manager. Our calls were not returned and the store hung up on us when we asked for the name of the general manager and/or regional manager. It is now April 8th and a manager finally called to advise that we could pick up the cash at the store today. Kudos to Liz. Apple may have a great product but their customer service does not meet those standards. Perhaps the next upgrade should be to improve their customer service skills.
Customer service is terrible at this place. Calling in and on hold for more than 30 minutes is not acceptable!!!
Worst customer service ever! Tim Cook you should be ashamed on how your customers are being treated. #applehubris
It may be a minor point and it was 20 minutes till closing, but no one greeted me when I came in. Like I said, minor point, but I walk over to a group of associates and I have to wait until they finish their conversation before someone addresses me. I expected better from a company like Apple.
They broke my phone doing a battery replacement. What more can I say. Had to go to another Apple store in Durham to get the display fixed, and they couldn t fix it either. Ended up getting a replacement phone there.
You can t get in without an appointment, the security guards will turn you away. Obviously they have COVID guidelines/restrictions so you cannot enter the store to browse anything anymore; however, the appointment time doesn t even matter because you re gonna wait in their long line regardless if it is past your time that you chose.
For such an well-known technology company, they are incredibly inefficient at helping their customers. Do better, Apple.
I arrive 5 minutes early to my appointment and I still have to wait about 45 minutes. This is a regular occurrence in this particular location. If you are understaffed and can't keep your appointments then maybe you should hire more personnel.
I had the most frustrated and unpleased experience at this store.
I was very disappointed of the costumer services of apple at this store. Hope that no other person goes to what I did, and this review helps them to understand how frustrated could be.
I had a reservation at 7.30 pm on 11/29/18 to replace a phone's battery. But, I decided to go early around 5.30 pm after work to see if they can help me. When I arrived, they asked me to come back at 7.30 pm since they were too busy. I understood, so I asked them if I can leave my phone and come back in a later time. They told me that was not possible because a technician must be present.
Arrived again at 7.15 pm and they told me that I must wait 10 minutes before my appointment to check in. But he "got me" the guy at the front door with the computer said. Then, I wait and wait... It's now 7.55 pm and I have not words for anyone (no acknowledge). So, I asked another person to see how long I must wait. He told me " I got you" again and come back to me at 8.00 pm. Then, he told me, " you have to leave the phone and come back at 9.00 pm." I said: ok.
The mall was closing, and I decided to check in at 8.50 pm and wait for my phone. At this point, anyone acknowledge me and it's 9.30 pm. I asked another technician, what s happening? and they said: "they are working on it." This person, left and did not reported back to me. Finally, at 9.45 pm, a technician come back and handle me, my phone.
The mall was closed by this time and I am walking outside the mall in an empty parking lot at 10.00 pm. So afraid.
While I was waiting, I was observing the way some of the "technicians" were providing costumer services to their clients and I noticed that "Spanish individuals, like me, were not acknowledge." My intention with this review is not to claim "racism" because I don't feel less than anyone. I am a well-educated and knowledgeable individual but, this time, "I felt the difference"
I did not hear at any time of my long wait, I am sorry for the waiting, or any kind of other sympathetic word. I felt very disrespect as a client.
Well at least the store is open closer to normal. You can go in the store after being checked out. Still need an appointment . Took me maybe 5 minutes before talking to someone ( Genius Bar ) once they opened the doors
I have been trying to set an appointment at the store and the only way you can is online. The website continuously redirects me to use tech support via phone call. I have been redirected so many times I am overly frustrated. It finally had the 'set the appointment' appear (after I had been on that site and page several times..) it asked for my apple id and password and when I provided the next page was a tech page to call in to get assistance from someone waiting for my call now. Geeze... I hate to say I almost miss the Dell days talking to someone from India!!!!
I couldn t get through on their phones to make an appointment so I went to the store. I spoke with two different associates and was told they can t help me make an appointment. I will NEVER return to this store.
I just got my iPhone 6S Plus from AT&T Online Store on Thursday last week and I had not even put my personal information on it yet - I was still heavy on my iPhone 5S because I was being lazy to move stuff around. I had my phone between my elbow and midriff as I was locking the door and when I turned, the phone dropped.
As it dropped, my heart sank with it.
And when it landed on the floor, the screen cracked right in the middle. My heart broke with it. And I went straight to the Apple Store and I had to wait for like 15 minutes since there was a big crowd in the store to get to my turn at the Genius Bar. The Genius took a look at my phone and said he would replace it. The process after that was very light especially since I had not put any data on the phone already by then. It took very little time and once it was done, I had a new phone! And I felt like my heart had been renewed too! I felt definitely very lively after that.
Thank you for your wonderful ways, Apple! You rock!
A few nights ago, my MacBook Pro decided to kick the bucket. Made an appointment with Genius Bar to see what was going on. I arrived early, expecting to be waiting for quite some time. Not only was I waited on before my appointment time, but the service was very fast and extremely friendly. Ended up needing a new hard drive so I walked around the mall for 30 minutes until it was complete. This location has the best staff. Absolutely love Apple not only because of their products but their associates as well. Definitely recommend this location for all your electronic needs!!
This store is not open! The worst customer service I ve ever had!
The staff at Apple is always prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. They have tons of customers but they work as fast as possible to meet everyone's needs in an orderly fashion.
Poor overall experience Great customer service to get you to buy the phone but once the phone is purchased, you are on your own.
There must be an incentive to sell the equipment! Their total attitude s change, you go to a back table where there is one representative trying to help 50 people so everybody is trying to get this one representative s attention.
That one representative running from person to person( she was overwhelmed). I finally ask is my phone done and ready? and she said yes, I end up leaving with my phone not working properly When I drove back (across town!)to the store the representative that sold me the phone saw me and said it was my fault! really!!she dropped me off at the back table and ran off. Do yourself a favor, go to another store!
Cordial and friendly. They've modernized the store to the point where there are no registers and it's hard to tell customers from staff. Lots of products to choose from.
Waited an hour and 20 minutes just get someone to tell me my ipad is out of warranty and $200 to get a refurbished replacement. Poor service.
I ve purchased most of my Apple products from this location through the years and everyone has always been helpful but Manny is THE BEST. He really helped me see the importance of understanding a number of iPhone features and what other features I should take advantage of. He also showed me some tricks on how to keep my 2015 MacBook healthy and in great working condition.
I had cracked my phone and got it replaced for $299 plus tax. The phone was brand new and out of the box and when i came home... The front camera wasn't working..like how??? Since it was new out of the box...
Management is completely incompetent. Sighted policy as the reason for his pitiful customer service. He was either unwilling or unable to define the reasoning behind the policy just that it exist for reasons unknown. The staff at Southpark has ensured my current apple products will be my last.
idk about how the service is there but in a few weeks i am going to upgrade to iPhone 4s to iPhone 6 i will get the six very soon but i was wondering should i go here to get it or order it from apple.I am not very patient with things in the mail and a lot of people sayed that it has horrible service and others not, so should i go there to get the 6 or should i order it.Also i am going to get some apple cases someone plz answer me??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
Not nice at all, i think they show what they filing with people! And its not Proffessional at all, i start hating apple
The staff was fair and professional the only downside was the wait time but I did get a chance to look at all the new products and was excited about a few things can t wait for Christmas
Very hectic here, but knowledgeable genius desk peeps. Helped me in a jam and I didn't even have an appointment. Thank you.
Fairly quick service to work with an associate, and my phone was fixed right away
Very nice even they they could not help with my problem
Great experience. Visited the Southpark store last week to get an Iphone battery replaced. Very busy - 3+ hour wait. So I scheduled an appointment for today with Jason (very helpful). Was immediately helped today the moment I walked in the store. Entire process took about as hour (as promised). Christian helped me today. Also very helpful. Overall great experience. Nice people who explain everything.Reasonable cost as well.
Nice customer service from the other people when walked in but the service guy didn t care for him at all
I had to called this place 4 times and they had me on hold for 15 minuets each time , tell someone answered the phone. Turns out the person who answered the phone was some tech guy from apple people ,who then had to transfer me to this store , when I finally got in tuch with the stuff member and told her about my Wait said cool this is a very unprofessional place.
I received an iphone 12 for xmas and attempted to import my 5K+ photos from iphone 7 to my computer. After realizing it was deleting them from the phone and not saving them, I called support. Support was unable to properly assist and suggested I go to the Apple Store. The associate who we spoke with said they could not help and to call support. After I informed her support sent me there, she said there was nothing they could do nor did she attempt to provide any solution. I have no plans to pay for icloud space to retrieve my own photos yet that was the only solution she had. Needless to say, I gave her the iphone 12 and got my money back. Such horrible service and Apple is more concerned with themselves than the customer. Such a waste of 4 hours of my time. I will be purchasing a Samsung now!
Just wanted to give a shout out to Robert and Tim who assisted my wife and I the other day. Both of them spent time with us to make sure we were well-informed and provided with the enough information to make a good decision. I will add that we were there during a very busy time of day, but we never felt rushed. Kudos.
Make an appointment for the genius bar or you may be waiting for over an hour
I bought an Iphone 4, my first Apple product 7 months ago. The way they manufacture the product lends itself to cracking, ask any owner, so I had to have my screen replaced, by an Authorized Repair store. I have had the worst experience with this product, it shuts off unexpectedly, loses the signal and drops calls on a regular basis, and last thing is the display totally died. Took it in to this location today and was treated rudely by 2 different Apple Employees, saying the repair center used a non-apple product, they don't suggest replacing the screen (of course they would rather you pay $399 to them instead) and telling me they couldn't help. When I asked for help getting my contacts off they said yes it backs it up. Oh, so I can just bring my Galaxy in when I get it and you can load them? "IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY, IT HAS TO BE AN APPLE PRODUCT." Then turned his back and walked away. This to a Cox Employee who has influence on whether we change from Blackberry to Apple or Samsung. Great job Apple, you not only lost a customer for life you assured I will let everyone I talk to know, I let no less that 8 Cox Employees today know how I was treated and how I feel about your products.
I came for my iPhone and the issue was battery drained quickly. The person ran their diagonal so the verdict was nothing is wrong with the battery. They refused to change the battery and asked me to reset the phone as try and see if it improves. I found it hard to believe that they couldn t tell what was wrong with the iPhone. Also they would charge me for battery. A phone that i paid for $800 now a year later i have issue they don t know what s wrong! It s insane I would pay for every single service. Phone is little over a year old only. I expect better from apple.
I have been waiting for three weeks for word from the apple store that my I phone 6 battery is in and come by to install it.I think it is a little long and an e mail saying it was delayed would certainty be appreciated.
Poor Management - I purchased a brand new iPhone XR from this Apple Store. Within a few hours of leaving the store it rebooted and wouldn t connect to cellular service again. After troubleshooting with BestBuy GeekSquad (Apple approved partner) they informed me that my phone had a bad cell chip and recommended that I return it to the Apple store. I followed their guidance and took it back to the store. Apple agreed to let me return it (since it was 1 day old) but refused to replace my screen protector (which was 3rd party). I requested to speak with the manager and asked him to make it right by putting a new screen protector on my phone. After all, they acknowledged the phone they sold me was faulty. He was less than helpful....and must have missed the Customer Service portion of his training....because he would not provide me with a replacement screen protector. I will try to buy online in the future and steer clear of this store until they have a mgmt change.
Ive bought most of my Apple devices here and the place is little crowded all the times(because it s Apple )
Why does Apple make it so difficult to make an appointment at the Genius Bar? My volume bottom is stuck and I can t seem to get to the screen to make an apppointment. I got on a chat and that moron couldn t make me an appointment unless i pay $5. I ve never had to do that before.

1 hour to check in, 30 minutes waiting after checking in, 2 hours to change the battery which they did not do and wanted us to buy another replacement phone because of some other damage, my 6S works fine, just the battery needs a charge more often, I am a Apple user but will not go back to this store, the staff is not very friendly and we dealt with 5 unhappy people from Apple just to replace a battery which never happened, stay away from this mismanaged Apple Store.
So, the products are really cool, but the staff are not very knowledgeable. I guess I don't expect them to be engineers, but they should know the products very well.
Bryan was so helpful and got me what I need nice ans fast. He s the best !!
Small wait due to a poorly timed visit (iPhone 11 release day). Staff took great care of us, got my daughter a loaner phone while hers was being repaired. Explained how the process was going to work and what to expect. Called us back to notify us when the phone was returned.
Apple has become like the airlines. They can treat customers horribly as there is not much one can do. Worst customer service at this Apple Southpark store that I can ever remember anywhere. Well...my next phone will be a Samsung.
Taking more than 3 hours (overall) on a normal weekday to get a new iPhone and I m still waiting.. better to just come and experience the devices here and do everything online. Would not recommend my friends to visit this store if they ever want to purchase a device.
Wess Pasour in one of the managers in the store worst customer service ever i know this won't matter to none of that store worker but I won't buy any apple products any more
No matter how many people they staff, they are always slammed. This is the only Apple Store in the area and while it started out small, its outgrown its roots.
We went today to get our iPhone fixed but was encouraged to sign up for an appointment online and come back at a later time.
If you need help, book it online before you visit to save yourself time waiting.
Called this store to ask about refurbished ipods after waiting over 15 minutes for the Lenox Square store to even bother to answer the phone, even though I was the next call in line. Gal who answered the phone was quick, efficient and businesslike. Next time this store gets a call first.....
Nice staff and helpful to assist. Have helped me a couple of times with my iPhone cable that seems to die every few weeks
This was by far my worst experience with Apple! I went to my carrier to get my screen repair for my iPhone 12 Pro. My carrier advised me to take the phone to the Apple store to get repair because I had Apple Care. So I take the phone to the Apple store to get repair, they tell me the only thing that needs to be fixed is the screen, but unfortunately they didn't have that screen in stock at their location. They were able to set me up with an appointment at another Apple location (30 minutes) to get the screen repair. I drove to the location, dropped the phone off for repair at 6pm, and was told the phone would be fixed by 8pm. I returned to the location at 8pm only to be told that there was in error in the repair process and the phone would have to be shipped off for repairs. This was a huge inconvenience for me. Then get a call 5 days later that my phone is fixed and ready to be picked up. I go to the store a day later to retrieve my phone and head to work. After arriving to my office, I notice the phone is missing the SIM card. I alert the Apple store in SouthPark that they returned my phone to me without a SIM card (again another inconvenience). They told me they could send another SIM card to me overnight. I voiced my my frustrations to the store who then offered me a phone case or a wireless charger for my inconvenience and then I voiced my frustration to Apple support who offered to rectify the situation, not even the refund of $31 that was charge to fix the phone screen. I am in the customer service business and we pride ourselves on making sure the customer had the best experience possible. In this situation, I had a horrible experience and I was offered a phone case or a wireless charger. My advice, don't trust your repairs with this location and don't waste your time trying to voice your frustration to this Apple store if they make a mistake with your device or Apple support. It will be disregarded!
Don t be fooled by greetings and look of the store, one of the worst & slowest service came across in recent times. Customer s time is irrelevant in this store. Had 2 queries, one on battery replacement and other on purchase of new iPhone(XS/8). Reached store at around 1:35PM. After 4hrs 15 min wait, I was told that battery cannot replaced due to some liquid found inside. Fine, but why 4 hrs 15 min. Being such a big company and paying highest price in mobile segment, don t they have quicker way to identify if it can be serviced based on the query and inform customers.
On 2nd query to purchase a new iPhone (XS), sales person took 1hr 30 even to approach me to see what I was looking for. No wonder why iPhone sales are dropping. planning to purchase android phone instead.
I would have given 0 if had an option.
Female tech. handling
multiple customers resulting in excessive wait time and no focus on reason for my personal visit to the store. She failed to place the order for equipment which was never received in spite of my follow up phone calls. Disappointed!
