We were staying in the best suite of this hotel with spectacular views of the canal. Woke up to this view every morning of our stay here. Great breakfast. Nice staff at front desk but ruthless staff at the breakfast!

Charming hotel with a quirky vibe in one of Amsterdam's trendiest neighbourhoods. Easy to walk to the city centre. The rooms are well lit and spacious, definitely ask for a room with the canal view. The service could be slightly more efficient, but the staff are very pleasant.

Hotel is a bit dated, the gym is really not adequate even for the most basic workout. Not even a treadmill and weights go to 15kf.

Won't explain a 1 charge on my bill after a few emails which means it won't be accepted by my company expense system.

Also every laundry item is a separate line item which is more work for me to submit.

Restaurants were good but the lobby bar drastically understaffed on one day I was there. 20 minutes to get served. The rest of the time it was ok.

I just checked out due to the Virus scare that is sweeping across Europe. Since I requested for a 1 day cancellation I plead to allow me a refund for the extra day for obvious reasons. My request was declined and some guy behind the counter was quite rude about it.

All my other arrangements with hotels and airlines were granted for a penalty-free cancellation due to the threat of the rapidly spreading virus. Except this hotel. What a shame.

My wife and I stayed at the Apollo during our honeymoon and could not have had a more pleasant experience, the apollo is out of the way of the city but walking distance from De Pijp, the train and other areas. The hotel is quiet and nicely appointed with a beautiful plant lobby and a higher end restaurant. The staff welcomed us with a delicious congratulations dessert and we enjoyed our entire stay.

Not a great place for anyone that may have a hard time getting into & out of a high bathtub, the bathroom lights are linked with a sensor so if your in the shower/ bath your out of range of the sensor & the lights turn off, Dangerous! The full length mirror in the rooms can't be used because the hinge on the door prevents the closet door from opening & that's where the mirror is. The two restaurants on sight are good but very expensive & I'm pretty sure if your an American you'll be treated badly. That was my experience anyway. Enter @ your own risk!

I am very disappointed in my stay at this hotel and will never return again. I booked my hotel online for a room with double beds with a roll away bed to be included the last 2 days of my stay. However when I arrived, the room I received was incorrect as it had one queen bed. The hotel staff corrected it after convincing the error was not on my part. As I continued my stay at this hotel, housekeeping failed to clean the room properly. New towels were not replaced and dirty towels were still present. The bed was made but the pillows were on the floor. My luggage had been shifted in the room. The day before I needed my roll away bed, I called the front desk to confirm my request and was informed there were plenty of beds and it would not be and issue. However on the day I needed the bed, I was informed no roll away beds were available and my extra (PAID) guest could not stay in the room with us. I consulted with the hotel manager and he tried to rectify the issue. Finally upon check out, I was not given an itemized receipt and had to email the hotel to request one. When I got my receipt, I was incorrectly charged for a daily bike rental. My recommendation to any travelers, is to look elsewhere to stay. The room cleanliness is sub par, the hotel staff is unorganized and rude. Lastly, if you do choose to book with them, double check your receipt.

This is a great hotel on the harbour with amazing views from the top floor. The staff is very hospitable and friendly and helped me with a number of things throughout my stay in a prompt and courteous manner. They have two restaurants, one that is very French, while the other is a modern fusion of American and Asian dishes.

It is also across from a rowing club, so you can see people pulling out their boats to go for a cruise.

nice hotel, but unable reception staff. The fact that we had already paid the 6% hotel tax on the Internet, you did not understand after forenough on paper and you did not let us go before we paid her a second time. Unfortunately this has spoiled our stay.

I stayed at the Apollo Hotel in Amsterdam for a couple of days in September 2019. Overall my stay was pleasant. The check-in and check-out experience were quick. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast service was good. The fitness center had all the basic amenities as expected from a hotel of this class. It was roughly a 15-minute walk. Bicycles rental was available on-site to get a true Amsterdam experience. I would only caution against the internet. At times the internet was a little sluggish.

Great hotel
Close to town but far enough away to avoid noise

Great hotel located in a quiet neighbourhood away from the annoying loud tourists. The bedrooms are comfortable and clean. It has a stilish modern look without being too pompous. The staff is very helpful and the hotel is located close to the public transportation.

Rooms are comfortable and clean and staff are friendly and helpful. We saw someone get in trouble for smoking in the room and setting off the fire alarm, so don't do that! (They made it very clear in the room contract, so no excuses.) The bikes here are genuine Gazelles and worth the slight extra you might pay compared to dodgy cheap bike hire companies. There are renovations currently but they have not been disruptive. The hotel is in a good location with some great breakfast spots nearby.

Very good hotel. Big rooms with tee and coffee corner. Good breakfast but I would expect the scramble eggs to be fresh prepared not from the egg flour. Helping staff and very nice location by the channel. Good restaurants.

First time back since the renovations, and it looks good especially the seating area with all the plants. This is 4th of 5th time staying here and the best room so far with canal views staff I see are lovely. Will be be back for easter 2018

Not a very friendly welcome by a trainee member of staff. The room was not clean and had to be serviced before we came back. No information at all given on the hotel or services. Not what we are used to from the Marriott chain.
Location of the hotel is good, hence the 3 stars.

Avoid this hotel. Its really two hotels in one, the tower is modern and pretty nice and updated. The shorter building is very old, with cold rooms, non-working heat and broken furniture left over from the 80s/90s. Wyndham is obviously using this as a money maker since lots of conferences are held nearby. Service is horrible and is the classic "we don't care" European service (which most of Amsterdam is way better about this). Employees are nice at first, but are too lazy to help with even minor issues (like you know no heat in the rooms in the middle of winter).

Great hotel !! Especially very beautiful and hip decoration and furnishings at the reception and the hall to the elevator. The lifts are less modern, but yes! Nice rooms, nice shower (the shower in the bath is not very convenient). I think the breakfast buffet at the Harbor Club is mediocre (basic, not very vegan) but the nice man who works at breakfast makes up for a lot!
