Rooms are in the midst of being renovated so odds are high that it'll improve over time. The lobby is a mess right now but now that SPG took over it could only get nicer.

Afgelopen weekend genoten van uw gastvrije hotel. Fijn ontvangst, mooie schone kamer, heerlijk ontbijt.
Very good hotel with fantastic view of the canals. Good location. Staff and service is extremely good. Highly recommended. Food outlets
Amazing hotel if your planning to stay in Amsterdam for a few days. The rooms are very nice and clean but a little cramped. The hotels lobby is also very nice. They have breakfast and dinner in the hotel but for an additional fee. You can also rent bikes from the hotel which is very convenient.
Great beds (California king). Strong shower. Great service. Good breakfast. Great location... beautiful!
Nice for the money we paid for it. Very convenient, although is more of a conference hotel.
Nice hotel, great staff, comfy beds. Not exactly in the center but at least in walking distance to the city center (20-30mins). Breakfast, late check-out, bike rentals pretty expensive.
Room is quite nice and clean. Robes, towel warmer and complimentary bottled water are all included. It took a couple tries to get a room that did not have a noisy fan, but I appreciate they were more than willing to accommodate. There are NO snacks available at the hotel after the restaurant kitchen closes, so if you get in late and need a snack after a long flight, make sure to get one at the airport or have one packed. There are USB ports near the desk for charging. The bathroom has a nice frosted glass door, nice fixtures and great water pressure. The location isn't steps away from any main attractions, but getting around by bike has been great. The bike rental is slightly more expensive than other places, but the bikes are very nice and well worth the price. The front desk and concierge have been helpful with all of our needs.
The bathrooms are amazing and the breakfast is out of this world!
Hotel location was ideal and I loved the ambience downstairs with the Harbour Club and all. My room still had a little trash in the coffee area which is the only reason this is 4 star and not 5 star review. The staff was really nice - I think they were understaffed for NYE which is not their faults.
Ideally located to attend events at the RAI, the hotel layout is nice but we were disappointed by:
- canceled airport shuttles without notice
- no heating during the night (that one is a classic but you would not expect this from a higher end hotel)
- periodic annoying mechanical noise in the room, the staff said it was water running in the pipes ...
Expensive from the outside hui inside pfui dirty wcs
Great hotel in a quieter part of Amsterdam. Short walk to the museums and the canal area.
Beautiful location with a very nice view, too beautiful rooms and loitering services
Good hotel. The only thing I didn t like was the rooms too small. I do not know how everything, but I got very dark. Small and dark room. But in general it is good there, a terrace with a beautiful view, not far from the stop, you can easily reach the center. Delicious, varied breakfast.
Good service, customer-friendly, beautiful rooms and a beautiful environment
An upmarket hotel with some flaws beginning to creep in...
Elevator fans not working...kettle in room faulty...electric iron faulty..
A/c switches of sometime during the night...summer heat can get awful.
Kettle and iron were attended to...
Could not get through to housekeeping on 2 occasions...request for change of room was not logged on the system as getting into the bathtub was awkward for a couple of "Not so young" couple..
Hamid....
The stuff is great
Quality Marriott Brand stay.
The staff: friendly and helpful
The rooms; super comfy , quality bed and linen
Bathroom: spacious. Quality mirrors
Shower pressure: 11/10
Con: thermostat is confusing to work. Never really figured it out until we checked out.
I absolutely recommend this hotel for your Amsterdam stay. Close to shops, the Apollo and much more
My room is great, with a beautiful waterfront view.
Nice hotel, but unfortunately a bit out of the way. The next tram is a good 15 min. If you do not mind, you have good maps here. Room top, breakfast a bit too expensive for the offer, environment very quiet.
Clean, fine, great breakfasts. Beautiful winter garden.
Easy going staff. Very relaxed and relaxing. Great views for breakfast
Good hotel, decent location, rooms recently refurbished. Small but usable gym. Sadly let down by the service at breakfast, over 20 minutes to get a coffee!
Nice hotel, mediocre service. Great restaurants with great service!
Best breakfast in Amsterdam for a hotel! The rooms are a bit "boring" compared to the rest of the hotel.
Rooms are convenient, breakfast is great. A bit far from the center, but if you're in town for business it doesn't matter much
The review refers expressly and exclusively to the nice, polite and competent doorman who welcomed us on Friday and said goodbye again on Sunday, July 5th. Be proud to have someone at the forefront who represents your hotel's face in this pleasant way.
Rather small hotel but has all the necessary amenities. A bit far from the city center by any public transport
Nice room with Harbor view. Breakfast was good but wish they had other egg options. Room temp was fine, I left the windows open.
They failed to change the sheets over 3 days. There was a stain at the top which was noticeable. I even pulled the sheets off the bed. If they still used them. On Thursday they failed to bring soap and shampoo so I ran out. On Friday they just forgot to clean.
Needs better attention to detail.
Front desk staff was excellent.
Apparently only polite from an advanced age.
Too bad, looks very good and is clean.
Good concept of hotel with lobby and on the other side the Harbor Club
We had a great stay! Loved the style and furniture in the lobby (bar)
Room OK, slight cleaning problem with the cleaning staff.
The location is perfect if you don't want to stay in the crowd and is very close to the city center, my room was clean and cozy. staff really polite.
Very nice hotel. Close to the main city attractions. I would choose it anytime again.
Stay was very good, rooms clean, luxurious and had a nice view over the canals. Beds slept fine and breakfast was great!
Ver very worst service...
No drinking water in room... Lot of problems in rooms also.. we have informed ... And still not yet offered water... Almost 8 hrs gone.. We have blocked this hotel for 3 days... Oh my god... How do we stay another 2 days... This is group booking... Otherwise I'll cancel & will be stayed @ other hotel...
Hotel is amazing is pretty cool and walking distance to everything
We had an extremely plesent stay at Apollo mid of June. The hotel location at the canal is really beautiful and the standard of the house is high.
Especially the service of Claire v. d. H. at the reception has to be highlighted. She went out of her way to make our stay an outstanding experience. Thank you very much!
A great hotel, close to Amsterdam Zuid train station. Very good service, clean rooms and a good location. Take tram 5, which is a close 10min walk and you're in the center of the city.
Had a great stay. The location is great - you can moor by boat and have lunch at the Harbor Club. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and the breakfast good. Nothing but praise for the rooms.
Pros: Great hotel. Friendly staff. Very helpful for excusions and travel arrangements. Wonderful breakfast. Cons: Breakfast was the same menu for the 8 days I was there.
We had a wonderful weekend at the Apollo hotel. The suite was luxurious, dinner at the Harbor Club was very tasty and the staff very friendly. We can recommend this hotel to everyone!
Service was really good and room was really nice with a good view.
Great place, nice good and excellent service. The design is a bit overwhelming.
Location is good not great. Rooms are small, but beds are great. Bathrooms are fantastic. Very clean. Super cool common area.
Hotel very nice and clean. Not in the centre but taking bus n. 5 you will need only 5 min for the centre. Starbucks will save you spending 25 euros for the breakfast..
The hotel is great but not very big. The personnel made a couple of mistakes with our reservation and preferences.
Was able to get a lot of work done in restaurant / lobby area overlooking the water
Great looking hotel with a nice view at the canal with professionals working here. Very close to the RAI. Great breakfast.
Very good choice of wine, small but well made dinner menu. Good service.
Super polite and professional staff! Spotless rooms and bathrooms. Delicious breakfast!
Wonderful, luxurious hotel. Good breakfast, good rooms and friendly staff.
It's OK. Location not so good. Breakfast regarding the location top - service is almost catastrophic. We had to clear our own table. Egg dishes cold etc. Had an old room - clean and in order. Reception also in order.
Impeccable hotel, best in life! Photo of the night view. Hotel next to the canal
One night for 2 with breakfast and parking 338euro. Is a word and I think you can expect something. We expected mold around the bathtub, hair from the predecessor around the toilet as provisionally patched doors with silver tape. Service in the Harbor Club so unfriendly and verpeilt that you think you are in the wrong movie.
Before booking here, I would like to think twice about it, too bad, it was the first time I've been together for my wife and myself for 5 years
Under remodeling, not that great. Doesn't live up to SPG name.
Out of the center but well located and with excellent public transport system is well resolved. Two excellent restaurants, good room, good hotel.
Pretty bad service. Rooms aren't in good condition. If you're lucky - great view.
Been going dam for 20yrs. No doubt the worst hotel I ever stayed in. Avoid at all costs. Staff rude, rooms dirty, food/drink very expensive.
Nice for the services of the rai Amsterdam ... they incorporate river boat to go to the rai
It's not as central as you might think and you need to get one of the regular trams out or walk a solid 40 minutes from the central railway station. Views over the canal are beautiful. Room was excellent and very clean. Staff also excellent. Quiet and very close to the conference centre. I recommend it for value .
Clean, modern, and easy access to tourist locations.
Hotel without too many pretensions, convenient for the tram a few meters away, quiet area, out of the chaos near the rikmuseum (I don't remember how to spell it) clean but small room for a family of 3 people, breakfast aside I believe on the 12 euro buffet provided. Polite and friendly staff.
Nice atmosphere ... Very beautiful and quiet place .... Clean, good breakfast ....
