Rooms need updating. Shower is dangerous getting out of. Not enough drawer/closet space. Beds are comfortable and they supply terrycloth robes. Small shampoos and amenities are of good quality. Reception nice but only one waiter working in nice bar overlooking canal. Not a great location as it is on the outskirts of the city. Prepare to walk quite a distance to trams.
Nice hotel, everything is neat and clean. Good service from the staff
The Apollo was a lovely place to stay on the outskirts of Amsterdam. Very comfortable room, excellent breakfast, helpful staff. About 15 minutes to the centre.
Beautiful and welcoming, all built on a canal on which it protrudes. Restaurant with access to the private dock. Ask for one of the charming rooms below the water level
Horrible experience and it's not even over yet. First overcharged for an extra cot because their single beds are the size you find in hostels. (Plus a lecture on "how it's done in Europe" where I've lived half my life.)
Then a room with air conditioning that doesn't work and at 9 pm no plan to fix it since maintenance is out for the night. "We can bring you a fan."
Combine with attitude and you have an unfortunate Marriott experience on the heels of one of the best just yesterday at L'Hermitage Gantois in Lille, France.
Nice..apart hotel ... friendly staff ... good food ... nice rooms ... soft bed ...
Beautiful hotel, spectacular decoration. It is not so far from the center if you contemplate taking a bike. The view to the canal very beautiful.
Great service and bar/cafe area. The rooms are clean and I liked the location.
Vibrant Hotel and Area. 10min walk towards centrum is full of bars n shops. The sun was out the whole weekend SPG Plat
This hotel was great. Location is not right in the centre, but close enough. And since I was there on business and had to go to the business district a couple times, it worked well. Dining room is absolutely gorgeous and we loved the breakfast buffet provided. I've noticed all the pillows in Amsterdam to be kinda weird and bumpy though and this hotel was no exception.
Terrible service and unwelcome staff. 3rd time I am staying here and always the same. Strongly recommend to choose another hotel.
Nice hotel. A bit far from city center but close to tram stop. GPS navigation can be misleading. Comfy and chic inside
Hotel is ok, but greatly depends on the room you get. I received a room on the first floor facing the parking lot and it left much to be desired.
Lovely place to stay, close to Amsterdam Zuid, great breakfast buffet quality and service.
Privileged location, quiet, very comfortable hotel.
Apollo hotel is a nice quiet hotel on the edge of Amsterdam old-south. Excellent location within walking distance of Rai and the center of Amsterdam. Very warm and cozy furnishings. Enjoy a cup of coffee and enjoy the view over the water or relax by the fireplace. Definitely worth checking out on Trivago.
Good location at a great price. Hotel staff was very friendly as well!
Very comfortable beds, plenty of room in the room & nice staff. Very neat and clean.
Great hotel with excellent service! the rooms are beautiful and very convenient.
Very near to all the attractions & the hotel itself is beautifully located on the canals.
In the summer they have a great terrace to enjoy the summer.
The hotel is good but the location is not the best. It's far from everything -- the tram, shopping center, the museum, and the canal.
Clean, well maintained, professionally operated. As with many hotels in Amsterdam, American English is readily spoken. A separately ventilated indoor smoking room is available. Guest elevators are very narrow, comfortably holding 2-3 people. Adequate shower water pressure, excellent shower water temperature.
Hotel staff is ABOVE average in their delivery of customer care and service, and appear genuine at all times. The physical location of the hotel is 30 minutes walking from Central Station, and all other attractions are closer than that (market, flower market, museums, canal tours, bike/scooter/car rentals. Shuttle service to Schiphol Airport is available.
Very pleasant stay. Despote the narrow elevators, I would rate this hotel higher than the available 5 stars, and look forward to staying here in the future.
Great location and super nice people at the hotel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a Starwood property
the service is generally kind of lacking - housekeeping didn't come one day, the concierges aren't particularly knowledgeable but the space is very nice. beautiful views of the harbor and canals. beautiful botanical walkway. nice living room lobby space. nice little fitness center that gets the job done
We were from August 6 to 12, 2019, confrotable, beautiful views from the cafeteria and restaurant to the jetty and the canal. Spacious rooms and good service.
Had a wonderful stay at the Apollo Hotel Amsterdam. My daughter and I felt at home. Staff and service were great. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you to the management for sending our camera battery!!
Very bad service. I arrived very late and was told the hotel was overbooked although I had already paid for my room. I was told the only option was to get a room in a lower standard hotel outside the city.
When I explained that I would not be interested in that and would look for an alternative I was approached by a security guard who threatened me physically.
I was very surprised as I thought someone came over to apologize. Be very careful with this hotel. The staff acts impolite and intimidating.
The hotel has a good location but I will never come back.

Good hotel, quiet and good rooms, some of the rooms overlooking the canal. The service good.
Very nice hotel, I stayed there many times and I can suggest it for your next stay in Amsterdam
We spontaneously booked two nights in a deluxe room with breakfast. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Great hotel with a very stylish interior. We liked it so much that when we are back in Amsterdam we will want to stay here again :)
Great hotel all around.. Particularly loved the location
This ist a very good business hotel in Amsterdam. It is located Not too far from down town Amsterdam. The rooms are quite big and clean. I like that the Hotel provides water free of charge. The employees are very friendly and helpful. The rooms have aircondition and they are quiet.
We intended to stay here for our vacation but in the wake of the Marriott data breach discovered that our prepaid for reservation was probably stolen. After discussing my options with Marriott extensively, they recommended we cancel and request a refund, which I was assured is very likely in fraud cases. After roughly 20 calls between Marriott customer service and this hotel, they keep pointing fingers at each other to remedy the situation. I am leaving them 1 star because they have been just as unhelpful as Marriott despite one employee at the hotel promising to remedy the situation. Daphne has been especially unsympathetic in this ordeal and keeps pushing the issue down the line when it is the hotel that needs to issue a refund.
Got there the day of my reservation and they gave away our room claiming something happened in the hotel. Funny how we had to be transferred to another hotel for the night which was "close" (20 minute cab ride..not close) only to have to be transferred back the next morning because miraculously the issue only lasted one night. Like I said, they gave the room away. Would never ever recommend this spot and will be contacting Wyndham about this situation. Stay at The Bridge Hotel it's much better and closer to everything! (If I could give no stars I would.)
Very nice facilities, the staff was extremely service-minded. Especially the concierge made the stay worth every penny.
The cleaning of the room was spotless every day during our 3 days stay at the hotel. Bathroom was large and shower very cool.
The restaurants at the hotel served good food, but the prices was little higher than other nearby restaurants.
One of the worst experience I ever had in a SPG hotel.
I've requested in advance to check-in earlier at 9 am and they confirmed it was totally fine.
I've arrived at Apollo 9:30 am and the room was not ready as requested and they told me it would be ready at 12 pm.
I came back at Apollo at 4 pm and the room was not ready yet. It was finally ready at 5:30 pm instead.
Before checking out, I've checked my credit card statement and there were some transactions done to the Apollo Hotel without any reason. I've asked an explanation to them for these transactions and they said there was a mistake form their side "don't worry the money will be released soon".
Breakfast was ok, however most of the waiters are extremely rude.
Only the position is good: nice view if you have a room that overlooks the river.
Completely out of SPG standards.
The ambience is brilliant. The resturants elegant the food excusite.
Had a very pleasant stay at the Apollo Hotel Amsterdam, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel. The room has beautiful views over the harbor, was clean and spacious. Everything was well organized, the extensive breakfast. Compliments to the staff, which made our stay even better! :)
Lovely hotel with a fantastic suite and very professional staff.
Great view of the canal, small well put together rooms.
I booked a rewards night for my mum. The hotel staff was very friendly, upgraded her room, and left a personal note. The location is great for Amsterdam - parking was free, and you are within a 30 min walk of the main city centre.
Top notch hotel. Walking distance to trams and cool breakfast spots. Its away from most of the hustle and bustle but several landmarks are walking distance. The hotel and restaurant staff are super friendly. There is an amazing view of the canal.
very disappointed..the price / quality ratio is zero..very bad slept..i woke up with excruciating pain in the neck and back..cushion too small and hard..bristles in the sink of the bathroom..brand I will not come back ..
Fantastic extravagantly furnished hotel with a beautiful harbor
Good hotel somewhat removed from the nerve center of Amsterdam but next to one of its canalee
Helpful concierge, comfortable rooms with beautiful views. Lobby furniture is also very nice.
Wyndham Apollo Amsterdam is an excellent hotel! I really loved my stay here! All the staff were efficient and very welcoming. This hotel is definitely the best in term of value for money, location and services! Highly recommended! We will be back!
Wonderful hotel! Affordable prices and great location. Understanding staff! Good service !!
Good hotel. Come here mainly in the conference rooms. These are well maintained and the catering is good.
Nice, modern hotel in convenience location. Room was very clean and staff were pleasant. Easy walk to the tram and local shops. The downside is that it's not really located near the night life and main action. If that's what you're looking for you might want to stay a bit further north.
Really good rooms and customer service. Location is pretty good too. Would recommend to others and stay again.
I have launched my book more business less hassle in the Harbor club of the Apollo Hotel. Fantastic welcome and top location.
Great hotel. Enjoyed from the first to the last minute !!
Good neighborhood, friendly staff, luxurious room, delicious breakfast.
We will definitely be back.
I can highly recommend the hotel if you are at a conference or exhibition at the RAI. If we walk, it takes you 15 minutes door to door to go to the conference center.
The hotel itself is clean and well maintained. The elevators are a bit old (hence slow) and do not expect too much from the gym. You have the essentials, but if you want to lift heavy or run (there is only one treadmill) you should look for alternative gyms. As for running, there are plenty of options around.
The hotel bar closes a bit early, so if you plan on a late evening meeting you should stay in town.
Great hotel for a business trip. It's a bit of a walk from the city center, but the rooms are very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff was friendly and helpful, and their lobby / greenhouse area was very tranquil.
A beautiful hotel with friendly staff. The decor is great and has an extraordinary touch. The breakfast buffet is good and adequate. Unfortunately, the hotel is not very central, the view of a marina compensated for it.
I also really like the restaurant as well as the hotel and I must say that the view enjoyed on a beautiful day is truly picturesque
Little pricy and walls are thin. Overall nice though and close to central part of town
Hotel well located near the tram breakfast with a lot of choice but much too expensive! Small room and annoying noise either cars or room overlooking the courtyard and the noise of the motors of the incessant ventilation !! I do not recommend for the price !.
cool rooms and good energy, I am looking forward to my next stay
Great hotel, great people at lobby. Looking forward to enjoying my stay here.
Modern luxury hotel. Clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly staff. Located just outside city center. Easy to travel to different areas of the city. Beautiful modern lobby and bar. Perfect place to meet friends before going out.
The hotel in terms of decoration is perfect, you have two restaurants very good kitchen! The service is excellent, the view of the rooms overlook a canal. The only counter is that from the center taxis do not go down from 20 to get to the hotel. Walking or cycling is the best option.
Horrible experience!! Room extremely hot. They did nothing to fix it. We left early as we were miserable. Took over 2 months to get any resolution. Still didnt get reimbursed for last night. Worst SPG experience EVER!!!
This is one of the worst hotels I stayed in in Amsterdam. It's not well suited for business travelers as it doesn't have good connections nearby. The hotel rooms are extremely tired with stained carpet and damaged lacquer on all furniture. When I arrived in my room there was nothing in the mini bar and the toilet has not been cleaned. I was also missing any coffee in the room though clearly they had a coffee station. Room service has abysmal menu with really nothing to order. No drinks on the menu so if you want to order wine it's an endless back and forth between reception and kitchen for what's available and at what price. They charge 10eur service fee which is more than half of most of the menu items and double the standard. For the price you pay there are many much nicer hotels that are better connected e.g. The Park Hotel nearby.
