A place unique to Raleigh, Angus Barn is an incredibly warm, welcoming, fun environment with some of the best steaks around. The atmosphere is truly wonderful and service is second to none.

The service is always perfect here. PERFECT. It took me a few tries to find a cut of steak I liked. I usually go for ribeye, but I like the filet here the best. The salad and relish/cheese courses are actually my favorite. I'd steer clear of the seafood.

Great staff, great atmosphere, great food. Ask for the tour.

We had a great time, the food was good and the atmosphere was nice. If you like vintage furniture this is a great place to come visit. The cigar lounge was nice. You must ask to be escorted to the cigar lounge. So If you are into Cigars, please ask to go the the lounge because Angus Barn has quite the selection.

I had a very pleasant time at the Angus Barn. Have been in the area for about 18 years and finally made it to the Angus Barn.
When I first pulled up I was amazed to see just how big it is and how many cars are in the parking lot. Going inside they had a bar with a lot of people milling around and a music performer singing and playing a guitar. we go inside let them know we had a reservation and was shortly seated. The Angus Barn has an open seating and type of environment. There are no boosts just tables next to each other in a large room. It was all very neat if a little cluttered.
I had the salmon and the birthday girl had a steak wrapped in bacon. They both arrived pretty quickly and were delicious. I had heard from a number of people that the Angus Barn was not worth the price. I can honestly say that the food was definitely worth the price. We had a very friendly and very knowledgeable waitress that was there to answer any questions that we had and kept my water glass filled at all times. We had a very enjoyable experience and loved the friendly atmosphere. I will definitely be returning in the near future and a recommend the establishment to anyone who who enjoys steaks or seafood.

Pretentious & over priced, you'll get a better steak at home. But you can complain and they will give you your meal for free, that's your best option here, but make sure you leave a tip. Tipping is not a river in China.

The place to ben for a top world excellent steak. In the weekend you must reserve, excellent Quality but not that cheap. When i go to North Carolina for work I go there are least 2 times dring my 3 weeks stay. Even when I am alone, I still go there and eat at the bar. Even the soup is superb.

We have had the pleasure of attending several weddings here. The staff is hands down the best we've worked with and the food is outstanding.

Fantastic! The food was delicious. It was a special occasion so I reserved the chef's table. Our waiter name was Todd..he was kind, knowledgeable, and us feel so comfortable.

Dinner was excellent. We had a party of 9 people at the wild turkey lounge and even though the party was so large our drinks never ran dry and the service was excellent. We spent 3.5 hours sitting with our family and enjoying both our food and the atmosphere.

TL:DR SERVICE AND FOOD EXCELENT. WORTH EVERY PENNY

Christmas atmosphere was great; overpriced for the quality of steak served.

Beautiful to visit during Christmas time, but always very busy. I love the atmosphere more than the food, but I still always enjoy dinner.

The food is always excellent but very pricey. I never been a fan of the barn decor but I do enjoy the lights in the barn rafters upstairs. The Christmas decorations are absolutely amazing.

The Angus Barn's reputation proceeds it but the Barn does not live up to expectations. The atmosphere is great but the food is par at best.

What can be said about this long time institution? It literally is a huge barn on a sprawling property near the RDU airport. Excellent steaks and salad, and a large selection on wine. There is a Pavillion on the property for LARGE events. No surprise this restaurant is known nationally. Not to be missed.

Cheese and crackers were on the table waiting for us! (I made a reservation). Very cool place to explore. Try reserving a table upstairs for a more intimate setting/live piano music.

Food was great. Service was good. Have no clue why they started using defective, paper straws. Next time I'm bringing my own straw.

We went for my niece's graduation party and it was fantastic. The food and services were second to none.

60 year old restaurant with a wonderful history and great atmosphere. Servers were cheerful and on the spot. Most importantly.....the prime rib and salad were the best ever! Truly a must stop whenever I'm in Raleigh.

From the outside, an unassuming cute barn exterior restaurant. On the I side you are met with a debonair tuxedoed mate's. Great steak and seafood. Expansive inside, but still feels cozy!

This place sells satisfaction. I had a great time here. The food along with the service was extraordinary. While the prices are high the return is well worth it. I would definitely recommend a visit especially if it's for a special occasion.

First time coming, fantastic dinner and service. Excellent explanation of the menu and our server Jeffrey was possibly the best server I've had anywhere. Definitely going back.

Fantastic evening out with my wife. Dinner, service and atmosphere is over the top. I can't wait to go again. I tried a new beer that have on draft and it was amazing. Our server took time out to Google the beer to see if I could purchase it in a local store. That's great service. The food is even better. I had a tremendous ribeye and my wife got the Filet Migon which came wrapped in bacon. We had Blueberry cobbler and Creme Brulee for dinner. Both were fantastic. Thank you again for a wonderful evening.

A true bucket list must. A bit of a wait because so popular. Fine dining experience even more so during holidays.
12-14-2016. Great time with family today. Daniel served us well. One note, the appetizer ribs were too tart with no sweetness. But overall, the helper elf-youth made it special. Decorations inside and out. Excellent ribeye with garlic butter. The most perfect thing was the complimentary gingerbread cookies that were given in the waiting area.

12-21-2017: Cousin Betty would ve been proud at the level of service and personable care given by Bud. I don t know where to start. Just say, AB ought to be on everyone s bucket list. Calling weeks or months in advance is recommended for prime time holidays.

12-22-2019: Fun time with family. Excellent Christmas decorations. Food and wine enjoyed and Daniel served us well, smart and humorous.

Very unique restaurant with great food and a larger than expected wine list. You must experience this wonderful place.

It's a little pricy but the food and wine selection is excellent. The staff is attentive and parking is plentiful. Holiday decorations are beautiful.

You have to book ahead here, but it's well worth it. The ambiance is amazing. There is so much to see here (and not just the food)! The service is always exceptional, and the food is wonderful. We'd never had the ribs before this visit, and they were delicious. They also have a country store inside if you just want to pick up a souvenir or crock of cheese. If you need a special occasion meal, this is the place for it.

Was visiting family in Raleigh for the holidays and was planning on doing a proposal while in town. My brother recommend Angus Barn. After doing some research on the place I decided to make the reservation. I was super impressed with the hospitality and cozy atmosphere. Our waiter Jeff was super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. The food was excellent, and reasonably priced for the quality. Great portion sizes as well. I had told the restaurant I was doing a proposal when making the reservation and they went above and beyond. They recorded the proposal for us, gave us glasses of champagne, and gave me a table in a quiet corner of the dinning room. Several waiters also stopped by to congratulate us on the big night. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

This is one fine establishment. The size, the grandeur, the history...and the food! The service is top notch for this area. You can t go wrong with the chefs specials, make sure you get the cheese and crackers as well as the olive/pickles tray to start. The wine selection is mind boggling, and might take a while to make a selection. The ribs appetizer is a must if you re prepared to deal with multiple courses. Can t go wrong with the steak, but their seafood is delicious as well.

This is the fourth time that I have came to the Angus Barn, and every time the service is better and better. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is wonderful and there's a taste for everyone. A must-do for anyone within 100 miles.

Great decore, great waiting staff and service! Food is NOT exceptional but the price is VERY high. Also, it gets so loud that you have to yell at each other to chat.

I had heard about the "Captains Table" and decided to book it. Brian was our chef and the food was outstanding. I watched him make the food, asked all the Chef questions I could and was served a wine to complement every dish. We had several others who served us "Joel, Huck" and an outstanding women who's name I can not remember at this time.

Everyone I spoke to seemed as if they loved working there. The people are what makes this restaurant the best.

It is not a cheap place to eat because you pay for quality. The food was delicious and there was a large amount of it. We had a nice time.

This place is amazing at Christmas. Decorations are everywhere, just beautiful. The food is great and the staff treats you extra special. I was impressed by the facilities. The upstairs bar called the Wild Turkey lounge. The wine cellar is fabulous and vast. The steaks delish and they cater and have river front banquet/event facilities.

Their food has really gone down hill. Especially for the price you pay, I do not plan on eating here again. If you are looking for good steak there are a ton of places around. One I would suggest is sitti in Raleigh

If you have something to celebrate, this is the place! If you appreciate a unique dining experience or simply relaxing with friends, family or coworkers, this is the place! This is our family gathering place as the "Go To" for all of our special times, from graduations, weddings and birthdays to other serious life events. A truly exquisite and comfortable environment where you are treated like honored guest and family. An additional plus to the Angus Barn experience, ask about the tour of their magnificent establishment! Everyone, including the children, will love the tour! One of my favorite steaks. Just as good as the big name steak houses but better prices and friendly people.

Definitely an impressive place to take someone for the first time. My most recent visit was on a Monday night, so maybe they were a bit off their game. I had a piece of shell in my crab cake, the wedge salad was swimming in blue cheese dressing, and the salmon was sort of blah and almost over-done. Like I said, perhaps just a bad night as I will certainly go back if the opportunity arises.

I just decided to go have some primerib. It was good with great taste. Along with the different types of cheese and crackers. With a glass of the house melot. I decided to sit on the back deck nice evening the road noise was a bit loud george our server was very attentive. Id come back again.

Good food. Unique atmosphere, but not a 0lacr I would want to go 9n a regular basis. A little pricey, but tons of food.

The ribeye and prime rib, superb. Both cooked to perfection and seemed to melt in our mouths. The taste is like no other. Haven't had a better meal since my last visit to the Angus Barn. We each had creamed spinach and shared the mushrooms. As we had a birthday, we received a beautiful lemon pound cake topped with strawberry and whipped cream - to take out as we couldn't possibly eat another bite. Our server, Bobby, was attentive and very service was timely. We had no need to ask for anything.
For COVID-19, beautiful decorated with fabric cover screens between tables/areas for social distancing, masks worn at all times by staff and guests (until eating). The pre-dinner cheese was plentiful and as delicious as always as was the relish tray.

Wild Turkey lounge is a great place to eat and grab a drink. Place gets very busy. Ribs are amazing!

Incredible steakhouse. Everyone must eat here at least once if you're ever near the area. The meat is incredible and the service is outstanding. It has such an incredible vibe that will make you feel like you're part of a big community gathering.

Always a pleasure to dine at the Angus Barn. Most comprehensive wine cellar east of the Mississippi. Delightfully relaxing and elegant ambiance.

The service was great, the owners truly appreciates military service members. The food was great.

Went for hubby's b-day w/three teens. Had reservation. Service was excellent, atmosphere superb, waiter the perfect combination of attentive but not overbearing. Prices were high, but the amount of food they gave was staggering! Took most home we couldn't finish and will have at least two more meals from it. Presented w/a b-day cake as a lovely surprise! My son ordered a hamburger and it was literally the largest hamburger I have ever seen - made two more meals.

Best steakhouse I've been to by far. Wild turkey bar and cigar lounge really separates it from the competition
