My husband made reservations for our anniversary! It was a first for both of us. We had the most incredible time, from the atmosphere to the servers and of course the delicious food! I highly recommend Angus Barn, whether you're celebrating something special or just craving a delicious, juicy steak!

I must say that whoever has not placed a 5 star rating to this place probably had some personal conflict. This is my very first time visiting this restaurant in the Raleigh area. The wife, brother in law and me were greeted and shown to our table in very polite and friendly way. Michael was our host for the night. Honestly Michael is probably one of the best hosts i have ever had in the countless of restaurants i have been at before. His knowledge, friendliness, and customer care is of upmost quality. I will not go into detail about all the food we got but i can give a 5/5 rating to the accuracy of our orders and taste of the food. Michael gave us enough time to choose what we wanted and everytime we had a question about something he would go into detail for our better understanding. I definately recommend this place to anyone.

Never disappoints. Steaks are always great, but we had soft shell crabs that were perfect also. The atmosphere is intriguing & cozy at the same time. Be sure to walk around the whole building to get the full experience.

The Angus Barn is *the* friendliest place to take your kids. I've been going to the Angus Barn for around 20 years now, and I had never realized this aspect of the establishment. For my wife's birthday, they invited my daughter back into one of their kitchens to decorate a cake any way she wanted to give to my wife. When she wasn't too happy with her hamburger steak, they brought her out a small filet instead: Amazing.

No matter the occasion, everyone in the area should experience the Angus Barn for themselves to understand the rich history and experience the impeccable service.

Food was good and atmosphere was festive. Unfortunately the overall experience left something to be desired however. The service was a bit slow, leaving our party of 4 waiting for our order to be taken, boxes for our leftovers, and the bill. The wait probably wouldn't have been as big a deal, had the seats been more comfortable. But after about 35 minutes it was uncomfortable to remain seated.
The food was good, but two of our orders were switched. Not a big deal, but I would have sent my steak back when it came out more rare than I care for. Also the server put waaay too much butter and sour cream in the baked potato. There ended up being more butter and sour cream than actual potato.
Not sure if there has been a change in the staff training or if I've just had bad luck the last 2 times I've been (last visit our reservation was forgotten after checking in at the desk and we waited over an hour for a table). Either way, my last two visits have led me to question whether I want to make the special trip again hoping that the next experience will be better.

Went for my wife's birthday. Whole family loved it. It was my father-in-law's and our kids first time going and they loved everything. The new enclosed porch on the front is awesome. I had the espresso rubbed filet and my wife said she would have had my dinner even though her prime rib was great as well.

So it's really pretty. But that's where it stops. Cheapest food you can get for two will be at least $100 (tip not included) and it's not worth the price, you can get better food in a more relaxed atmosphere for half the price. Also, the manager came out and went to every table except ours, judging that we were the youngest clients there. The waitress we had was the most awkward and up-sale service... Every time she asked if we wanted to add or try this or this without mentioning, by the way, it's all extra $$$. And even after we specifically asked for the check and thank you but no dessert, she brought out the dessert tray and described every single one in detail under the illumination of a spotlight flashlight.

Nice atmosphere. Very popular place in Raleigh for many years. I was upstairs in "The Turkey Lounge) with a small group of friends, this is my second visit in three months ( also upstairs) IF you go there do yourself a big favor and bring a coat, blanket, or plan to be very cold. When I was there in December a nice man at another table was given a blanket and felt badly for me and surrendered it to me! ( Nice gentleman)
Everyone around me either had a blanket, ( they ran out of them) but refused to turn the AIR Conditioning to a more comfortable setting. Apparently they are more concerned about their employees in the kitchen!

My wife and I ate at Angus Barn for the first time tonight and it definitely lived up to the hype. The staff has a great system in place in order to keep the restaurant clean during COVID-19. I want to brag especially on our waitress named Kirstie. She was PHENOMENAL and made our first time awesome. We got crab cakes as an appetizer, I got a ribeye and my wife got the chateaubriand and it was all very good!

This was a treat for my 73rd birthday from my daughter, and she could not have chosen better. The awe and excitement from the time we first drove in until we pulled back out of the drive were such a wonderful experience and created such a special life-event memory. The personnel were all friendly and welcoming, and made you feel like it was special to them to have you there. The lighting all over the grounds, the presentations as you entered the "barn", even the Ladies restroom was planned, arranged, quaint, and special! Our waitress was one of the best I've ever enjoyed anywhere! I only wish I could remember her name. She was experienced and knew her job, knew every item of the menu, how to make the occasion even more special and fun, laughed and answered our questions readily and made excellent suggestions, and I just cannot say enough about how much more she contributed to my very special birthday celebration event.

Quality experience!!! We arrived a bit earlier than our reservation, but were seated immediately! The food was amazing as expected, the service was phenomenal. Linda done everything within her power to ensure our first visit/ anniversary was the no less than the best! We will be back. 10 out of 10 recommend!

I went to this great restaurant back in 1979 when I worked for IBM and I was traveling on business. Great experience in eating a fine dinning. I always think of this place when people mention Raleigh NC

Went to Raleigh on business and was introduced to this staple. Excellent service! The filet was perfect and the wine selection is out of this world. The free cheese and crackers are a nice touch. If I ever find myself in Raleigh again i'll most certainly patronize this establishment.

I m a vegetarian who indulges once or twice a year. Food was great and plentiful. Staff was wonderful and not pushy at all. They also gave us a tour of the kitchens and facilities. Super cool!

Update: grilled veggies are
Good and the strawberry sorbet is awesome and plenty for sharing.

The Angus Barn is an event. Pulling into the property feels special. I have traditions with friends to meet up at the Turkey Lounge for drinks, a little bit of food, and catch up while the piano player serenades us. I love the wedge salad, french onion soup, and chocolate chess pie. And if course a glass of wine or cocktail. Service is always excellent.

Any time we go to the Angus Barn everything is spectacular. We were in the Pavilion tonight for an event that included dinner. Even though the staff was serving dozens of people, the food was cooked to perfection! Angus Barn is an absolute treasure in Raleigh.

We mistakenly arrived 20 minutes early for our reservation. We were still seated immediately at a nice table. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. The server was very friendly and we wanted for nothing. All and all a great experience.

Fantastic steakhouse menu. Location is beautiful, a rustic barn filled with character. Menu is very pricey, but all items are worth the money. The service is great. Recommend making a reservation, as there is usually a crowd there.

My husband and I had a fabulous dinner tonight at Angus Barn! The service was excellent from the moment we talked in. Meal started out with house made cheese with crackers and veggies. Then soup and salad. The French onion soup was delicious! For our main course we had tonight s special which was filet mignon with mushroom and brandy gravy and graters chive mash potatoes. The best part of our meal was dessert! We went with the Chococlate Chess Pie, which was absolutely delicious!

The Angus Barn is my favorite place to celebrate special occasions. We went to celebrate my one year anniversary of my liver transplant and my " re-birth day'!
Thank you Angus Barn for your wonderful food and incomparable service!

Hands down the best steak I've had in the triangle area. The atmosphere has a cosy country home feel despite being able to hold hundreds of people. They pride themselves in their service and it shows in every aspect of your meal. Make sure you have the home made cheese spread and crackers (provided free in the lobby while waiting on a reservation, and at your table), and don't forget to grab an apple on your way out for good luck. The tour of the restaurant and wine cellar of thousands of bottles is a great way to finish a meal as well.

It's a great space and is worth seeing! I frequent the Wild Turkey Lounge and enjoy it every time. However, a recent trip to the restaurant proper left me underwhelmed. The quality of both the food and service was not worth the cost. The steaks were good though.

Great atmosphere. The service is on point. I didn't enjoy all of my food for how much it costs, but there are a lot of options. If you're ever there ask your waiter/waitress/ hostess for a tour!

Sadly, service is not what it used to be in the main dining area. Not sure what has changed with the servers but the decline is very noticeable and is causing several people I know who have been going there for decades to not return. It's a shame.

Not very impressed with the Easter Brunch. The venue is beautifully landscaped and the service was outstanding from the time we were greeted at the door to our departure, especially our server Fernando who was extremely attentive. The food however was lacking in flavor and creativity. There needed to be a shift in the menu at some point and more options. At that price point, an afternoon brunch menus should include at least one chicken dish and a nice pasta station instead of the two omelet stations. Fresh fruit and more veggie options should also take the place of the many starches they were offering. I ve heard great reviews in regard to the ala carte but would recommend some tweaking in the buffet.

Had reservations at 8:30. We got there around 7 to hang at bar and have drinks ahead of time. We were finally seated around 8:45. As we walked in we were told to remove our hats, but no one ever offered to take my coat. If you are going to try and be a top end restaurant and tell me what to do, then do it properly! After being seated for an hour and 15 minutes we finally received our food. The food was delicious but not worth the trouble and price.

This is a very expensive Cracker Barrel. No! There are lots of better places to spend $100 for comfort food. We had a very salty hamburger with a decent wedge salad for $100. Lots of pretentious people wandering around trying to look important and wealthy.

My partner and his mother share a birthday and have come to Angus Barn every year for the past 10+ years to celebrate. Last year (Dec. 2019) was a bit of a disappointment, our server rushed our meal and the food quality was a bit lacking. This year, even with covid-19, was an amazing experience. Our server, Stephanie (who had super cute glasses) was exceptional throughout. She was super nice, paced everything really well and made the experience really enjoyable. The restaurant could have done a bit more to space out guests but all on all we had a great time!

Vegan at the Steakhouse! Yes, you have read correctly! We had a corporate event at the Angus Barn and they were very happy to accommodate me! They prepared a platter of grilled vegetables for me. They were absolutely AMAZING! Everyone else (the meat eaters) raved about the food as well! Thank you Angus Barn!

It's the Angus Barn. Best steak I've ever had. And there is a reason why their chocolate chess pie is world famous. It is NOT cheap, but you can expect to have a darn good meal. Best saved for special occasions. Making a reservation for celebrating special events brings out their true hospitality. Went for my father's birthday, and they make a special pound cake just for us, on the house

Despite the wait and crowd, this place is an excellent experience. Even waiting had snacks that were excellent, with a good choice of drinks.

I'd recommend this place if you are looking for an upscale meal and can get reservations.
