Best food experience of our lives so far. We celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary and we did the captain's table. Private experience. It was amazing. We will defiantly be back. Can't wait to try that huge tomahawk..

Went here with my girlfriend for our anniversary and it was great! Really good steak and even better service! The ambiance was also really nice. We went for dinner but I want to go back during the day to take in the surrounding area to the restaurant as well!

Hands down my most favorite restuarant in the world. The food is amazingly good. I have to starve myself before going so I can savor every bite! Amazing separate venue for special events/business functions. The customer service at all points of contact is textbook stellar. If you are ever within an hour of Raleigh, NC, this is a must do! P.S. Don't forget to stop in to the Wild Turkey Bar & Lounge.

Just meh.. I know everyone raves about the Angus Barn and this will sound sacrilegious, but for the price, the food seems like it comes off a conveyor belt. If you want a great steak, go elsewhere, if you want the full Angus Barn experience, save up and head here. Service was great and the ambiance is very unique... but for the price, I wanted the steak to be much better.

A Raleigh establishment that serves great steaks and offers a rustic atmosphere inside an old barn exterior. Come early and grab a drink and some snacks in the Wild Turkey lounge upstairs.

It was a fantastic experience. We made last minute reservations on the day of our wedding. We were so well received when we arrived, it us made feel like we were more than another table. Everyone made time to congratulate us on top of their time honored tradition. The food was fantastic and the service was impeccable. After enjoying our delicious feast we were offered a tour of the restaurant. The whole experience was so intimate and personal it made my new husband and I feel even more special. This was much more than a dinner it was an experience all on its own. I highly recommend them to everyone and anyone.
I especially want to thank Dennis, Stephen, and Judy for all of the efforts and special touches they added for us...everything was phenomenal!!
We will be back!

The atmosphere here and service is by far the highlight. So good! The food and drink options are excellent. We sat in the meatlocker, even though I don't smoke. Such a cool experience! Will definitely be going again.

What can I say, it's the Angus Barn. Amazing food. After the dinner our server took us on a tour of the building. Great night. Booked a reservation for Valentine's Day can't wait!

Amazing food, wonderful atmosphere and incredible service! Family surprised me with dinner there for my 40th birthday and even though they were busy, all the staff (especially Bud - our waiter) made me feel like the most important person in the restaurant!

Angus Barn was a great option for my friend's birthday. He got his gigantic steak everyone had a great time. Would be nice if they had slightly cheaper options but I guess that's not why you come here. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was neato.

Not up to their usual standards tonight. Went for an early dinner at 4 (usually what we do here), upstairs in the Wild Turkey Lounge where we usually eat. First, no stout or porter or cider on tap. Ordered a $20 Mead expecting a larger than a beer bottle, not. Thank goodness she asked if we still wanted it prior to opening, and it took 20 minutes to find it. Ordered prime rib Oscar like I usually do, medium rare. The waitress says I can't have it that way because they don't make hollandaise until 5:30. Nearly an hour later, we finally got our food and the steaks were luke warm at best. Might rethink my next trip up here from Fayetteville.

Service was good, however the food was not. $258 dollars later, I was soo disappointed. The steak was full of water from the veggies. The croutons in the salad were stale, my steak was bland and unseasoned. It was just not a good experience for me. We were celebrating a very special occasion and it just was not memorable.

Love visiting the Barn. Love the uniqueness of the place. Love that everyone gets cheese and crackers and it is some of the best cheese out there. I'd visit just for the cheese. Steaks and food is really good too. I love the crab claws. I sometimes think for the price that you might be able to do slightly (this is not a complaint), but when factoring in the overall experience I'm never bothered by the price.

We have been going to the Angus Barn a couple times a year for the last 25 years and there are many very good reasons this restaurant has been around decades before we even discovered it's existence. They care about the customer. They care about quality. They care about the establishment and the ambience they want to project. Never once have they deviated and over the years they've only ever tried to make the customer's experience even better.

Now don't get me wrong. This is a STEAKhouse. You will not find frou frou dishes nor will you find an overly large menu selection. You will find various cuts of yummy beef, lobster, shrimp, crab, ribs, and a chicken here or there. Their side selection though is more varied and unique to that of a typical steakhouse. You can have your french fry side or go for something a little better like steamed veggies or creamed spinach or creamy mashed potatoes, et cetera. Just give me the spinach salad with poppy seed dressing and i'm in love.

My favorite time of year to go is around Christmas. (They hire Mrs. Claus to do the decorations and she just falls on the place with a vengeance. Like how dare they don't decorate like this all year!) The only thing I recommend when deciding to go for a weekend dinner or just about anytime around and a little after Christmas is to make a reservation! For Christmas or Valentine's day, make your reservation months in advance.

There are several other amenities and areas of this restaurant that I'll leave for you to discover for the sake of limiting the length of this review. I seriously doubt you will be disappointed and if so you are just impossible to please and you can tell it to the walls of celebraties in the place who have been.

Juicy

Highly recommend the Chefs Table which is a table for two in the actual working, busy and hot kitchen. Fun to watch and interact with the kitchen staff (they might even give you a taste of what they are fixing). You receive 5 formal courses of the Chefs choice along with wine pairings all for a fixed price. Took my wife there for her birthday and we really enjoyed it.

It was okay. We went for my brother s birthday. We made the reservation back in August because we knew it gets really busy during the holidays. We had a party of nine. We were seated right away. Mom ordered the pesto chicken. She said it was okay, but wouldn t order it again. I ordered a steak that was good for the first few minutes but continued to cook on the plate and ended up dry. My husband really enjoyed his steak. He said it was perfect. My brother ordered his steak medium. It came out very rare. He sent it back. It came out sizzling on the plate like fajitas at a Mexican restaurant. We heard it coming. When he poured A1 on the plate, it splattered off because of how hot the plate was. The steak was charred and well done. He was offered a free dessert for the hassle. So we paid for a $40 steak that no one ate. They charge $14 for kids chicken tenders. Not sure why it is necessary to charge that much but I guess if you can, you do. Our waitress was very good. It was our first and last visit. There are so many restaurants in this area with really tasty food. There was nothing special about this place except the name. It wasn t horrible, it was just okay.
