I think they need to pay there idiot sales people to go back to school to read. I have 2 no trespassing signs up on my porch and a sign on my door stating no trespassing/solicitors. And they still come ringing my door bell and knocking on my door. They are not licensed by the BBB and are a bunch of scammers.

Cost is a little high monthly. But what I had an issue with is not knowing I had signed up for 5 year contract. When sold my home, had to pay hugh early termination fee!
I'm always a big skeptic when a "sales guy" knocks my door and offers the "best system available" for little to nothing to start. But what I can say is I consider myself tech savvy and had a previous incident with an inferior alarm that failed me and I was burglarized. So I did quite a bit of research into every company and soon realized the salesmen was not telling a lie. Some of the benefits found in their system are not offered at any other company! I contacted the sales rep (Damel Franklin) immediately and was installed the same day! Could not be more impressed with the technology and service of this company! I would personally recommend this company to anyone.
Such a great company to work for! They are very flexible and willing to work with you! They appreciate their employees and they are great at showing it! I have worked in the billing department for over a year now and I am still loving it! I've learned so much for this company and my opportunity while working here! Such a great job.
On 11/12/16 a salesman came to our door offering to show us his security system. Not long after his manager Grant came to the home also and we got a double sales pitch. We were promised a superior system to the one we had. The manager also promised us if anything didn't work with the new system that he would correct it and make it right. We were also told that if we were not happy that they would come back out to remove the system and reinstall our existing system. This did not happen. We called within three days to cancel once we found out that the thermostat and the garage door and the doorbell camera would not work correctly. When I asked to cancel and have my old system reinstalled I was told I had to call another number and make an appointment. I was very upset and nervous about being locked into a contract for many years and when I asked why the manager was making me call another number and if I was locked into a contract the manager accused me of insulting his integrity. Long story short, we had to call ADT to reinstall the old system costing us a 200.00 fee. When AMP installed their system, I asked for the old equipment and everything was given to me except for the transformer of the old system which cost even more money and time for the reinstall of the old system. I also had to make many phone calls to Guardian Protection Services notifying them to stop calling me and billing me. It is now 12/21/16 and I just received a bill from Guardian for $67.08 for monthly monitoring service for a system I no longer have.
The reps will sell you a service that works only intermittently depending on provider. Also, the technician for issues only works on Tuesdays during the day in the Metro Denver area. When the tech came by he didn't even fix the issue. I called him on his way to the next appointment he said he would come by on is way back and never showed up. I have been stood up twice on the Tuesday and a followup Saturday appt that never occurred. I've armed the system only a handful of times overnight where the false alarms did not wake me up and I had to call off the police. Now three months in on a system that doesn't work because it keeps reporting false alarms. It takes a tech up to two weeks to come out and only on Tuesdays! I tried to cancel again... Now I would owe $1200 in cancellation fees. Buyer beware!!!
This is Mark F. Chris F was amazing how he took the time to set up our system and explain how it works. We have a big house so he had to run to get it all done. Our salesman Kyle was also excellent. We could not have asked for two better men to get us set up. Both were five stars!!

The recent installation of the AMP-Smart home security system has created a learning curve on system features and how to operate those features. An events, now understood, caused a notification alert to be sent. A telephone called placed to AMP-Smart Technical services performed a system check and was able to determine the event causing the alarm. The tech-service technician (Shalene) in a very profession manner was able to cause of the alert and greatly increased the necessary operational procedures to most efficiently use the AMP-Smart security. A WELL DONE TO SHALENE.
Even though we were unable to solve the problem, Shayla stayed on the phone with me for about 2 1/1 hours. She was very patient with me and my lack of tech expertise. She is exceptional and provided superb customer service!!! I very much appreciated her kindness and assistance with my issues.
My husband and I are very grateful to have this security system. The people we worked with to get us set up answered all of our (many) questions and were very friendly.

So far, the system is great! Very user friendly with a simple interface. The phone app is incredibly convenient. Installation was fast and the techs were friendly and professional. As it is only a week since the system was installed, we are still familiarizing ourselves with its function and regular use and may update this review as we've had it longer. While we did grow to like and trust our sales person, Dylan, I would say that initially the sales tactics felt high pressure. He is very good at his job, to say the least. Also, the length of the contract at 60 months is a long time to be locked in and would suggest the company offer shorter term options. Overall, our experience has been a good one.

My alarm system went off while I was at work. I was contacted by AMP security and immediately left work to travel. Law Enforcement was contacted and we both arrived at the same time. Once the officer cleared the house, and after I contacted AMP Security back we found that the system was operating correctly, and that perhaps something set the system off, not internally but externally. AMP is great. Keep up the great work
Got a door to door visit from these people. Asked the agent Chris Wisbey to come back the next day. He showed up around when he said and we let him go over the whole spiel about the security devices and the company. I used to do sales so I understand how these things work and what to look for. He seemed fairly honest and knew what he was talking about.
So we did some research. The company has a sketchy past with selling their contracts to other security firms, shady sales practices, poor support and so on. Chris seemed pretty adamant that the company has made a turn around and to be honest some of the more recent reviews and articles appeared to confirm this. I'm a firm believer in giving new companies a shot, so we went with one of their setups. Please be aware there is an early contract termination fee If you read the fine print it's clearly labeled and is a standard practice for most companies that have contracts. I say this because that was one of the complaints we found with a one star rating. READ WHAT YOU SIGN, not their fault if you don't.
The installer was out that night, very knowledgeable, and had it done in no time. Wish I could remember his name. Walked us through the basics and left our old locks and thermostat here, as any good installer should do, verified with support that our equipment was communicating and off he went.
We've only had the system a day so far and I can tell you that the smart home features alone are great. I love the thermostat, the app is comprehensive and easy to navigate, the doorbell camera (I think all doorbell cameras are gimmicky) seems useful and I am sure will help ensure Amazon packages stay on the porch. Being able to unlock the doors remotely so people can check on the animals if we're gone is going to be useful. I just hope that the actual security is as wonderful as the experience we've had so far.
I will revisit and update this review in 3 to 6 months to ensure what I have reported remains accurate. Giving four stars because we really haven't had sufficient time to see lasting quality of the equipment or service. That's the only reason.
EXTREMELY UPSET WITH AMP. I got this system back in may as a "sponsor home" thought I was getting the best deal ever! Russell was my sells rep we were thinking about getting security cameras for a while because of issues we were having with our neighbors we specifically asked him how the recordings work because we've been researching and other places only allow a certain amount of space or video's so we were just going to do our own camera's and monitor our selves but he said no it's like a DVR once it's full it'll start recording over the old ones that we wouldn't need to worry so we thought this was awesome! exactly what we were looking for. I knew something was up when I looked at where the tech Cameron placed the camera's instead of high where they should be he put on just 6 feet up from the ground into my siding and the other 2 low as well I specifically told him where to put them and he didn't then placed my doorbell camera 12 inches above my normal doorbell so it hardly records anything because it's to high to see anything important but then just 11 days into my service my camera's were no longer recording I found out due to an altercation in front of my home I went to pull the recording for court if I was going to need it and found out it hasn't been recording for a few days when I contacted customer service they said oh no you only get 3,000 clips a month...... I live on a busy street so the cars passing my house took up all 3,000 clips in less than 11 days since then I have tried working with the company to have them come out and move my camera's (they wont replace/repair the damage their techs make to your siding BTW) a new tech had to come out 2 different times because even though he knew exactly what we were doing he didn't have the correct equipment the last time he came he said I don't have a tall enough ladder and asked us to provide him one we ended up borrowing a tall ladder so he could move the camera's and never heard back I have now been trying to cancel my service for the last couple weeks and I keep getting told I'll hear back from so and so within the next 1-3 business days but yet here we are still nothing 15 days after! and to top it all off my "very secure" sensors keep falling off my doors and windows!
I was very skeptical when they came to my door because of the prevalence of door to door scams, but listened anyway. I had A LOT of questions and researched the company reviews. After discussing the pros and cons with my husband, we decided to give AMP Smart a try. The installed equipment is good quality, the service employees are kind, knowledgeable and respectful and we were armed the very same night with minimal dust and drilling. It's way too early to give a thorough review, but we think this company is legit and the high tech security pad is easy to use and there is a smartphone app to use also. More to come later as we have more time to experience the service, customer service and billing process. UPDATE 10/3/18: We still love the service! Customer service is prompt. It was easy to assign a temporary code for our housesitter and was user friendly for her. I like how it reminds you through an app on your phone to turn the alarm on for the night. You forgot to turn your alarm on when you left for the store? No worries. Just arm it from wherever you are. We highly recommend AMP.

We called our AMP Smart Rep. (Paul) after almost 3 years of being on the Guardian service , and he remembered us right away ! He was also A+ excellent in getting us the service we needed. He is the kind of "real people" who work for companies and who take care of their customers even years later. Thanks Paul keep up the great work.....you are an asset to AMP Smart.
The salesman was extremely pushy and a liar. He said my neighbors down the road had signed up- but they didn t. Only matters because it shows they lie to their customers. I lost my job a few months after signing up and tried to cancel but the cancel fee is over $1,000. They will not work with you in any way. They are rude and money hungry. They don t care that sometimes people go through hardships. I even had surgery (without insurance) they said I could send in my bill to avoid the cancel fee. Well my bill is over $25,000 and they said that wasn t enough reason to be exempt from the cancel fee. I even tried to cancel and make small monthly payments instead of paying the $1200 outright and they wouldn t agree to that either. I will tell anyone and everyone how horrible this company is.
AMP SMART, has the best products out right now, as long as the best prices. Great sales man, great customer service. Switching from vivint was one of the best decisions I have ever done.
We just upgraded our home security system with AMP smart! It was a super easy process and you can tell that they genuinely care about your experience with them. Dylan Brodigan and Timmy were extremely helpful in the whole process. They came for a follow up the next day and helped answer every one of our questions. Five stars and would definitely recommend AMP smart to anyone who is looking to get or upgrade their security system.
Was a great experience. The install went great I love the new system and that I can control it on my cell phone. I felt they were honest and not to pushy as most door to door salesman are...that is why I actually listened and am glad I did. Thank you
UPDATE: I am upgrading my review from 1 to 3 stars because of their cordialness in cancelling. I sent my Notice of Cancellation in on Sunday, they contacted me Monday around noon, finalized the cancellation, and I had a technician removing the security system by Wednesday.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: Man the salesman that came to our house was pushy. Sure he was an "excellent" salesman in his use of trying to control the room and conversation and I commend him for that, but man was it difficult to get my actual questions answered by him. He used the "sponsored home" gig as well and then proceeded to sprinkle what I would consider "hidden" costs throughout his pitch. He didn't really even give us any time to decide what we even wanted from a security system, let alone wanted one. I let him in initially because earlier in the week a salesman had stopped by and tried to come in, my wife rescheduled with him for Saturday when I was home. Low and behold, the Amp rep came at the time we expected the other guy, who I found out was actually a solar panel guy. My wife wasn't sure what type of salesman she had rescheduled with. Well anyway, I'm talking with the Amp guy and he said it would be a sponsored home but found out I would have to pay $64 a month plus $99 today for "activation", talk about " sponsorship", if they truly wanted us to be a sponsored home they would pay for everything, I was able talk them into waiving the $99 activation fee and getting the first two months free but even then, I would still be having to pay the remaining 4 years and 10 months. After numerous questions, finally found out there is a 4 day trial grace period, in which we can cancel the 5 YEAR contract with them. My wife liked the idea but I ain't paying no $64 a month for this overpriced service. Needless to say we will be cancelling with them on Monday. P.S. they broke our old doorbell when putting theirs on. At least them removing all their equipment will give me a good reason to fill the other screw and nail holes in our walls.
Caleb was very helpful explaining your amp system. I was not interested in buying your product, but because Caleb made your system so interesting to learn about and easy to operate I was intrigued to purchase it. He was very easy to work with and informative and was very accessible to me.

I had an issue with my door bell camera and had some questions about some of the settings on it. I used the online chat service and talked to two people because I accidentally hit the wrong button. Both were very polite and helpful. I chatted with Jaxson last and he walked my through everything I need help with and responded to everything I typed super fast. I had the unfortunate experience of having one of Amp Smart s salesman come to the house and it was one of the worst experiences of my life. He tried to get me to commit to a ridiculously high rate and then wouldn t leave the house. I had to grab his stuff off my coach and hand it to him and force him out the door. All of this took place after he tried to get my SSN and bank tracking number. In my opinion, if you have a great product, you shouldn t have to force it on someone. I suspect that most of the positive reviews on the company are generated and fake. Buyer beware!

The door to door salesman tricked me into changing my service to their company. I was currently with a security company called monotronics. The salesman told me that the company was being bought out because they couldn't reach a deal to go to a 4G network from 3G. I ended up signing a contract by being decieved. Needless to say, I would not reccomend this company. I also requested to freeze services due to a move, they agreed but continied to charge me. I AM NOW GETTING A LAWYER INVOLVED.
Added the AMP Smart system to my home about 6 months ago. My wife actually uses it now, the doorbell cam is amazing and love getting the notifications to arm my system and lock my doors outside our geofence. APP has worked great and love the new setup.
Before you buy must note that you Are in a contract for 5 years. I asked the representative profusely if I would be locked in a contract he told me no, no contracts at all. However the company uses the term agreement as contract, which I can understand, but when you ask someone if your in a contract they say no and then do no proceed to tell you there agreement is the same as contract. Either way I m very disappointed in the shady levels this company works. I would really appreciate it if someone can help me understand why the rep did not continue to inform me I am locked...in an agreement, had many many chances to correct me when I said to the others in the room that we have 30days to cancel, when asked if I could cancel at anytime passed the trial I was told yes.
I am correcting my previous bad review. After my negative review, I was contacted by Jason McRae and he worked very hard to address my frustrations with the system. He did have Karlie call me and pinpoint the issue that was happening and we were able to resolve it. At this point I am happy with my system and the secondary response that I received. My hope is they will work on the first line response so that things don't have to come to a negative review before they are addressed and fixed. Thanks to all who worked with me.

Sales rep Nick was nice and seemed to care a great deal about a customers needs and wants. The installation was smooth and the tech was nice. I do like the system and the app however I wish I had some more paper work other than a brochure. Ive only had the system for a week. I will leave another review after having the system for a few months
Dylan came by the house yesterday and knocked on the door. He wanted to show me information regarding security for my home. He was not pushy or overwhelming with a high pressure sale. He simply reviewed the product AMP SMART and the areas that would be covered which include all access doors, broken window monitoring, fire detection, and a camera with night vision for back yard security! It also has a key pad with police fire and ambulance features with TWO WAY COMMUNICATION which allows you to talk to someone immediately through the key pad. You also have access by cell phone with notifications sent to your phone! You can also have multiple user ID codes so you know when and who try to access your system. There are a lot more features with this system! And the cost for the system is very reasonable! I have been thinking about a system and to me this was the answer to what I was looking for! Thank you Dylan! I also want to Thank Alex who installed the system. Really nice guy, explained everything thing he was doing and how everything worked. He installed the system in just over an hour! Great so far would like to see them call every now and then to check that we are still here rather than us checking in with them on emergencies only. My battery was totally dead and I had no clue. So now I will be call them when the clocks are moved in the fall and spring so I will know if my battery is still alive and kicking. Otherwise no problems.
Two sales men came to my home Tuesday evening for about 2hours agreed to set up services instead of going with ADT. Services were to be installed the next day 1/13/2016 between 5:00 to 7:00 pm no call no show. Called there customer service several times today only to find that a technician didn't come to my house because an installation fee was not paid only because I was offered it for free, I had to sign several documents showing that my only up front cost was my first month of service. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone as this was very unprofessional and time consuming to only find that what I was offered was not in fact true. I will be having ADT installed this Saturday. Best to stick with a company I know all about. Think twice before allowing these sales men into your home only to mislead you.
Best decision I ve ever made! The sales person, Angela was terrific! The alarm package was more than I anticipated. The techs were wonderful and the monthly price was reasonable. The technology is second to none. Can t say enough great things about this company!!!
We recently had an issue with our alarm being set off by our dog. We contacted Emily a service representative at AMP Smart security. Emily was very patient with me, took a Normas amount of time and work through not only that problem but other questions I had about our panel and her security system. She spent nearly an hour with me on the phone answering every question I had satisfactorily and helping me troubleshoot some other issues that I wasn t even aware of on my panel. She was awesome, her knowledge of the system and patience was just what I needed. Thank you Emily !
I've had am amp security system for a few years now and am so glad I upgraded to the AMP smart automation. Thank Goodness for my AMP smart system. The cameras have been life savers as my husband is battling dementia. Its so nice to be able to keep tabs on him from my smart phone when I am in the garden or just in my sewing room. I rely on the door chimes and alerts to see when he goes in and out of the house. It allows me just a little bit more freedom and peace of mind. Before he got sick, I trusted him to protect the house. It's nice to know that I have a system that protects us both now. Thanks AMP smart

Blake did an KILLER job installing my new security system, I love my new smart door lock! He is even returning to install more cameras once I get WiFi. I highly recommend going with AMP Smart and hopefully you'll have Blake as your technician!
The alarm itself works well should the door be opened while set. The video door bell is a joke. Should someone come in the door the alarm will go off but NO Video of who it is!! We are consistantly having to factory reset it often. It doesn't always record. I have had porch pirates pick up packages and guess what my camera was down again!! The hardware is unreliable. It has been replaced and they still can't figure out why it is happening. A looonnnggggggg 5 yr contract. We bought a back up system because of the unreliability.
These guys are horrible. Please don't sign a contract, no matter what your salesperson says. It cost me almost $1,000 to get out of a contract after 4 years with them just to get away from their company. Think about spending almost $3,000 for $100 of equipment and a 5 year contract. I was told one thing but they delivered another.
AMP has the best customer service I ve ever experienced. They are quick to respond and will not quit till your problem is solved. Every representative is very knowledgeable about the system and easily guides you through troubleshooting.
Here in Colorado, I have to start by saying the sales reps were awesome and the guy who did the installation and repairs was very nice and pleasent to have in the house, that said...
Be warned that the state of Wisconsin has taken governmental action (you can see this on the BBB web site) because of some of their practices.

I feel this company should be labeled as a scam. From day one the system didn t work properly. When the system finally stopped working altogether it took a week to get a hold of someone and then another week for someone to come out. The guy who came out was a really nice gentleman he was also the one who installed the system so I have no ill will against him but the company knew the main panel needed to be replaced and they did not authorize him to replace it. That same day after he left the system started acting up again I called and wait on hold for 20 minutes and then decided to press one to get a call back because I had to leave to get stuff done; the prompts didn t work properly. A while after that I got a call from someone monitoring the system saying that they noticed that the system wasn t working properly I m like yes it hasn t been working properly since the day you were supposed to fix it and before that. The first day they came out to fix it I couldn t do work so I missed getting paid that day and now again I had to schedule another day for them to come out. It was going to take a week for them to get someone out to fix the system again and then come that day the guy shows up two hours late; So in the timeframe they were supposed to be there:10 to 2 they came out at 4. Come to find out the guy was told about the job the night before. I had already been on the phone with customer service an hour after he was supposed to be there and told them I want to cancel my service and they said that they would have to have customer loyalty call me back. When I made the appointment for them to come out a second time to fix the system I told him if it wasn t fixed I was gonna cancel the service; so they knew what was going on. An hour after that phone call when the guy showed up I had him go ahead and remove the system. A week later no one called me back so I finally called them back and they re like basically there was no reason for them to call me back because The service has been canceled. I said this is not over, I expect a refund for the month the system didn t work and I was told they wouldn t give me a refund since they didn t charge me a cancellation fee. At this time I asked to speak with a supervisor but there wasn t one there and I proceed to tell them, this is nothing but a scam you gave me a system that did not work from the first day I had to waste two days not being able to get stuff done waiting for someone to come over to fix the system which should ve been fixed properly the first time. I was told I got a good deal on the system so I should be happy and I asked the lady, are you happy when you get a cheap car and it breaks the next day even though you got a good deal on it? By the end of the conversation I was threatening to call the Better Business Bureau, the media, and anyone else who would listen. The call ended with me hanging up and 30 minutes later me getting a call back saying they would refund that month. I guess they already have enough bad publicity they don t want me going after them in the public.
