I was happy today when my new AMP Smart Alarm System was installed by two very professional, competent and courteous representatives. They explained everything fully, and left me with an easy to use yet new technology system. My home is safer with AMP Smart and that makes me happy!

I initially gave a rave 5 star review because the sales agent was so nice and the install was great but have since changed my review. The skybell does not work always, the sales agent misled me on the geo and how it works, the sales agent told me that video on the skybell recorded at night in color, which is not the case, and I was told by the sales agent that they would NOT run my credit for the service, but since they were not going to run it my monitoring fee would be a bit more each month.

I did not want any hard inquiries on my credit report for a security system and I specifically told the rep if that was the case, that I did not want the product. The sales agent just said go ahead and fill out the information but I will personally make sure that they don't run your credit, I even heard him tell someone on the phone not to run it. He assured me of this. AMP did run my credit and I'm still paying the higher amount. I called the agent and he said not to worry about it that it was a soft inquiry only but later found out that that was not the case and it had been reported to all three credit bureaus.

I'm still trying to get it removed off my credit report. When I called the company, I was told that running credit was required for every transaction and there was nothing they could do since I signed paperwork. I'm still waiting for resolution. It's not so much that a hard inquiry hit my credit as the fact that the sales agent was not honest with me and that this is taking so long to get this resolved. 2nd call now to AMP and 2nd to credit bureaus.

It's the point of the matter at this juncture. If you're going to sell a product there is no reason to mislead and take advantage of a customer.

With those couple points my interest rates went up... AMP at the very least encourage your people to be honest. It really does have a huge effect on people probably more than you realize.

Had I known that I was being taken advantage of and had a rep that was being unethical, I never would have purchased the system. I would love to cancel my monitoring all together considering what the rep told me was not accurate but since I signed a contract, I'm fairly certain they're going to stick it to me regardless of what the rep told me. Did I mention I had a home security system already installed before they came to my home... This seemed like such a great product but really it's not much more than what I already had and I'm paying almost $30 more a month. All they had to do was lower my rate back down and remove the information from my credit report from all three bureaus. Feel pretty shafted at this point and have lost faith in this company. They never told me about the cancellation policy. The rep however did tell me that if I ever had to move that I could cancel my contract then. Yet another misleading fact. Trust goes a long way.

We love our new security system! We were able to customize the features to create a system that fit our security needs and budget. Our sales rep Alek was very knowledgeable and helped us select exactly what we were looking for. We love that we can control everything from our Smartphones including arming our system on the go and receiving notifications about activity at our front door with the doorbell camera. The install was quick and professional. Alek and the install technician were able to answer our all our questions and made sure we understood how all the features worked. We had a few questions after install and customer service was able to easily answer our questions. The system has given us peace of mind.

Wish I could rate AMP Smart higher. My families experience with them has been fantastic. Angela the representative that came to our home was very friendly, and knowledgeable. She informed us that a house a few doors down had been ruined due to a fire and offered to upgrade our fire protection. Angela pointed out that our current protection monitoring services was not connected to the local emergency system which would cause a delay in emergency response time. She offered to upgrade our protection system to include fire, carbon monoxide, windoo pane and even a new video doorbell. All told the upgrades equaled to nearly $2000 but our monthly monitoring price would be less than what we were currently paying. Getting more protection for less was an offer we could not pass up especially with two kids in the house. AMP Smart was even able to install the new system the same day. David the technician was very kind and professional during the installation. Even though it took him longer than he expected, he still stayed long past his time to show us how to use the new panels and how to use the system on our smartphones. Angela stopped by the next day to follow up to ensure we were familiar with hiw to operate the new system. Angela also informed us that AMP Smart would work with us in canceling our outdated monitoring service with Brinks/Monitronics. When I informed Brinks/Monitronics that I wanted to cancel my services, I informed them of the services that AMP Smart upgraded me to and the price, they did not even offer anything to try to keep my business after nearly five years of using their services. Like I said in the beginning AMP Smart definitely deserves more than 5 stars. My family feels more secure than ever and that is something you cannot put a price on. Thank you AMP Smart, Angela and David.

Run, don't walk, away from AMP Smart home security. If you have an older home, their system will not be compatible, but their high pressure sales people will convince you to sign up. After signing, you will be locked into a 5 year contract which they will not reduce or waive for any reason. Their customer service department is slow and unresponsive, and their sales tactics are unethical and misleading. I chose to throw away money to get their system out of my home, rather than sticking with them as a company.

About a month or two ago a nice gentleman named Matt with AMP Security came by my house and upgraded my alarm system. I love that I can turn the alarm on and off from anywhere using the easy app on my phone. I had an issue with the equipment and had a technician that was available very quickly come by to fix it, since then I have been very pleased with my experience. I will definitely be referring my friends and family to their service in the future.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I literally just had one of their salespersons come by and try to sell to me. They sound promising, but the second you do any independent research, their lies fall apart. They claim to have a positive BBB reputation, they have a horrendously bad reputation instead. They try to claim you will save money, insteadyou will spend it, and it will be a lot. In my case, the guy wanted me to sign a 60 MONTH contract for 55$ a months, AT LEAST. that is $3300 over 5 years.

The guy tried to sell me a new system by offering me a system with a "retail value" of $1250, that they would have supposedly covered because they wanted to "advertise" with their sign in my front yard. When they are valuing their equipment at hundreds of dollars for a single piece of equipment, you need to step back and start to wonder.

They claim that if you sign the contract, you have a several day grace period to back out. if you check the BBB reports, this claim isn't worth the air used to make them.

again, if you are reading this, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. These guys are as trustworthy as the guy trying to sell you a year's supply of frozen meats out of his van. AKA, not-at-all.

We had an existing plan with AMP for our alarm system. We were contacted that a representative would be coming to inspect our system to see if we would be eligible for an upgrade. We were told how to identify the representative in case there were scammers out. The representative came and was extremely polite. Reviewed our system and scheduled a free upgrade for the next week.

That next week, an installer came to our house who was equally as polite. The installer made quick work with the upgrade and spent most of his time highlighting the new features of the system.

I had never given much thought to the company servicing my alarm system, but after this excellent customer service, I will always remember AMP.

If I could list 0 stars I would. I have had this system for almost a year and it rarely ever works. The camera and the doorbell disconnect from my wifi all the time. I have had 2 incidents at my house where I needed video of what happened, but guess what? IT DIDNT RECORD! The customer service is just as good as the product, which is not saying alot. I wish their yellow vested door knocker never came to my door, but now I am stuck with a product that does not perform what you contractually sign up for! It is a joke and a scam! DONT SIGN UP EVER!!!!!

I am so glad I stopped myself and told the guy leave a card and come back. I was told all the usual. They saw my ADT sign (who we do use). I was told my neighbor got a system and my house being on the corner was a perfect home for them. I was promised all this extra stuff and yada yada. I Googled and the FIRST thing I read was it is a 60 month contract and the cancellation fee is huge. Plus as with all these people they don't do the monitoring. They sell you Guardian. Their base is 39.99 and they set a new rate and keep the difference. NO NO NO NO NO. No way am I locking into a 60 month contract for ANYTHING but a vehicle. THANK YOU GOOGLE!!!

Amp Smart rep, Tim, was very informative & explained system to me. He was very upfront & answered my questions honestly. I believed the monthly fee for service would be affordable. If I didn't like system within 3 days, they would pick it up & no holes to worry about since it is wireless. Liked that fact. Upon reading contract thoroughly, an early cancellation fee of $1850.00 will be charged. Should my income change over 5 yrs, I will be out $1850. Tim is a great rep for the company. The high cancellation fee is the deal breaker. The contract was on his phone & I was not able to read small print. I should have asked about cancellation fees prior to signing.

My family and I are so pleased with the security system from AMP Security. This is the perfect piece of mind my family needed while I'm at work or traveling. The new Skybell HD we received was amazing and gives me a way to monitor my home while I'm at work. The System that was provided was top of the line Honeywell equipment and we LOVE how everything is convenient to use for all ages. AMP is definitely a company I would refer to all of my friends. Raymond Chan was the representative that stopped by and he was very professional! I have never seen a young man with so much Joy for the company that he works. I highly recommend them for any future clients!

Sounded like a terrible a scam and the sales guy used scare tactics. Sales guy told me there have been break ins within a mile of my home. Of course he sounded scripted but we re a small town, we would know if there were multiple break ins . Tactics like that are disgusting. Just another company to add to the never ever list.

They were polite at first. But definitely were leaning towards the pushy side. I was honestly just trying to learn more about the company and was interested in comparing the

Personal information was written down. I told them I hadn t said yes. One of the salesman was upset for the time wasted and walked off extremely rude. I understand it s your job to sale and I was a missed customer. But I was honest from the start and told them I wasn t making any rational decisions. That man acted worse than a kid throwing a temper tantrum. It s definitely not a good look on the company and I definitely made a decision to keep my current company. The other man was polite and kind and I appreciate his time.

I ve had a lot of security system sales people come to my door. I usually turn them away, it s a little off putting. I ve been a little worried about things happening around our neighborhood lately. Sam with AMP showed up at the right time and was the most polite respectful salesperson to come to my house. He got the sale! The installer of the system, Cameron, was just as polite, respectful and explained the system well. Now just need to get used to all the features. Seems like a solid system.

Customer service is horrible. You pay a monthly fee for a service that works on and off. I hate this service!! I have had it a couple of years now and I CANNOT WAIT to get rid of them my system has not worked correctly since never and I refuse to give these crooks another dime to fix something that I have to pay for every month, yetI don't trust this system to do anything more than run me out of my email because it's filling it up daily with alerts literally every few seconds with a least 10-20 alerts because obviously something is malfunctioning. I called customer service and the ladl says oh yes I see that instructs me to turn the sensitivity down... guess what even that feature was malfunctioning!! I can't deal with them customer service almost causes me a coronary event from anger. I sit on the phone too long and not one issue is resolved other than the frustration of having to create a whole new email to actually receive the emails I need. Such a nightmare can we as consumers trust any of these companies with such terrible customer service???!!! Maybe it's worth talking to a regulatory agency to see if some type of class action proceeding could be initiated against this company the dissatisfaction and issues are all so similar tgat I don't see how they're getting away with this.

AMP SMART has been the best investment my husband and I ever made. The peace of mind we have when we leave our house to when we are sleeping at night doesn't compare to anything else! Gary Bolen and Dave Luman were extremely helpful when it came to instalation and answering any questions we had. We feel safe and we know our home is safe. One evening our dog opened the door that we hadn't locked. The alarm immediately began to sound and woke us both up out of bed. We felt alarmed at first but then thankful we knew something was going on. Thankfully it wasn't a bad situation but if it would have been we would have been prepared and had back up on a way.

I spent the last of my money on traveling down to Florida from Pennsylvania to work for this company. After driving that 1,000 miles I had to use my personal car daily to drive all the other reps to and from the work field. I was hardly compensated 1/10th of what was necessary to do that. I had to have family and friends send me money just to keep driving other guys to and from work. Working for them was miserable. They would motivate you to work your hardest and even when you would give it 110% they would send out messages saying that nobody was working because nothing was being produced. While the product may be great and the services quality, I would not support a company that treats their employees like animals. I gave it my all for the 4 weeks i was there and in return spent most days eating only half a pack of Ramen because i would split it with another coworker who was also starving. Please consider that there is more to a company then a salesman at your door with a good smile and a great product before using this company. I lost time and hundreds of dollars just to be treated poorly.

On a busy Saturday I had a knock at the door and as I went to open it, noticed 2 young men standing there. I was just finishing up dinner for my 2 young daughters and getting ready for bath time and very matter of fact told them to "get to whatever their selling because I'm busy". They got right into it and I decided to do the "free" trial period. The installation was quick and the tech was thorough and made sure everything was working perfectly!
I texted both the marketing and tech guys for different reasons and got immediate responses! I was more than skeptical as the guys approached my home, but am beyond pleased that I heard them out!
Amazing security system and I highly recommend AmpSmart to everyone!

Horrible company to deal with. Out dated technology. They contract "technicians" to come out that aren't always helpful. But most important the service is a rip off. Too many web based options available you can do yourself for less with better technology.

To be transparent, I wasn t too thrilled about having to wait almost a week and half to speak with the loyalty department about potentially cancelling our service. Not a fan of that tactic. That s the three star rating. BUT, once we had the convo it went well and we were able to renegotiate and come to better terms and I appreciated them working with us in that capacity. Following the call, we also had a tech come out and free of charge and help with a few issues we were having. He was kind, professional, and went above and beyond for us. THAT was greatly appreciated. My tech service was 5 stars.

System does not work as it should. The cameras were fine in the beginning but now the doorbell camera only records when the doorbell is activated and the backyard camera only records when the system is armed. I am very disappointed with this system that I am locked into a 5 year contract with.

I was in a 5 year contract with this Alarm security company, wanted a change because this company is the WORST by far to do business with. As my 5 year contract near end. I have contacted the customer service department continuously to discuss what is needed once my contract end, only was told that I must send them a termination letter in order to avoid renewal of another 1 year contract, the customer service person made it seem as if this termination letter must be sent to them before your contact end date, in which my contract end date is (May 26, 2020), they have received my termination letter and also my email of request to terminate my contract within 7 days before the end date. So I received a call from their Loyalty department to inform me that I had to send the termination letter 30 days before the contract end date, and that my contract automatically renewed on April 26, 2020 for another 1 year. Sadly I have already had installation done for a different alarm security company on the 16th of May, and AMP Smart was contacted by me on that same day, and again as I spoke to customer service, no one still told me my contract had already renewed, just told me to send the termination letter, inwhich I sent immediately on the 18th of May, people be aware this Company is a SCAM, and will set you up in anyway to force you to stay with their company ... HORRIBLE PLACE TO DO BUSINESS WITH.. DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE SUCKED INTO DOING BUSINESS WITH THEM , THEY ARE CROOKS !!!

Never buy a security system from this company! The sales rep did not tell me I was signing a 5 YEAR contract and they want me to pay $1200 for an early termination fee. This is outrageous the system it's self can be bought on Amazon! The customer service is not friendly and are not there to help you.
