This company came in and removed my mother's current security system telling her that the company she had , was upgrading , and or going out of business .They replaced her system and had her sign electronically and did not give her any paper work then proceeded to draft money out of her bank account monthly . She is 82 yrs old , and was at home by herself at the time .. They really told her a bunch of lies and took out her current system and also notified that systems company and cancelled its service on their own . They talked alot of BS with her, but she wasnt aware of what they were actually doing .. This company should be watched

Customer service is awesome! They made sure my issue was resolved (even though it was a mishap on my part) The door cam wasn't working like it was supposed to after only a week of putting it in. They set up a date and a tech came out and fixed it. All it was the door cam had an update. The sales rep is awesome as well. I can contact him any time with a question or issue, and he helps get it resolved.

RUN if they knock on ur door. They were supposed to pay off our contract with protection one. Been 2 months and they are saying check should go out soon. Horrible.. Not to mention they have been put 4 timrs in two months.. Doorbell camera still does not work right. Horrible.. These guys are a scam

If I could give a lower rating I would. The sales guy completely ripped me off. My doorbell stops working all the time. Money has been taken out of the wrong card. System was put into my landlady s name under the word that it would easily be switched to my name. I explained my credit is not good but was told no problem at all. Now the system is in her name and I have to pay for it because I can t afford to pay off the contract. It s double the cost of other security systems I have spoke to on top of that. It takes 1-3 weeks for a tech to cone out and I just do not schedule things that far out. I m sick of this company!

UPDATE- Jason McRae contacted us and made everything right and reassured us that is not how AMP Smart does business! Definitely made us feel at ease with the whole situation!

Horrible! Never let these people into your home let alone do business with them. I had a bad feeling about the salesman from the minute they walked in. We never invited them in he said he was going to give us some pricing really quick and proceeded to make himself at home. Then after dragging it out he asked our address and my name to verify we were the home owners on his little "app". Handed me his phone to push a green button and a few minutes later I got a credit alert telling me they did a hard inquiry. I NEVER agreed to anything let alone did he even mention anything about pulling my credit. I never even gave him my social so how he did this is beyond me. I am so relieved that I did not sign his contract. We will be in touch with corporate about the shady salesman Jeromy. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

Worst company they give me a 4 years contract when I call to cancel 3 months before they tell me that my contract will finish on May and I will not pay any early termination fees when I contact them on May they never return my call until June and they tell me that my contract was automatically renewed for another 4 years and I have to pay 18000 dollars for termination fees

I signed up for AMP when a salesman came to our door. Initially, I was excited but started to feel sceptical about trying the company after I've read so many bad reviews plus the C rating from BBB... Turns out I had a right to be. We started having problems with it not even 24 hours after hook-up. When we called customer service, we found out the week trial period that we were promised is actually 3 days. Luckily, we were within 3 days and canceled immediately upon hearing about the deception from the sales rep. Unfortunately, 100% transparency doesn't seem to exist anymore. I was VERY pleased with the customer service rep who was knowledgeable and courteous, but I just can't bring myself to sign into a contract with a company who hooked me in with a lie from the very beginning.

Our security system dejected all of the sensors yesterday afternoon. I called my AMP Smart salesman, AJ Beard and he had the tech contact me. A new keypad was installed and all of the sensors reprogrammed and our cell phones paired. Everything is working as it should now. Thanks for all your help.

Had some issues to work through in getting my system set up correctly. Maile and Matt were both lifesavers. Maile spent a lot of time making sure my issues were addressed and resolved. Her personality and positivity are infectious.. Matt spent over an hour with me on the phone, testing my system, making sure I was aware of my options and then arranging the solution. They are both true assets to this company and a big reason I chose to stay with this company.

Theses guys are idiots! If there's any type of problem after hours, you are out of luck. They only support you from 7AM to 5PM Mountain time.

Plus, they trick you into a 5 year contract, which is unheard of in the industry. After two years of bad service, we tried to break the contract and they threatened legal action ... very customer-oriented, right?

Definitely a classless operation. Avoid at all costs ...

This system can do pretty much everything except make you breakfast (and I wouldn't be surprised if that weren't already an update in the making). Anthony and Corey were awesome. They installed the system, cleaned up and took the time to explain all the features that came with my new smart home, and that is a TON of features.
The ability to lock my door, turn down the thermostat and turn off my lights from my phone is the best feeling in the world.
No longer will I sit at work wondering if I remembered to lock my door, I can do it all from the comfort of my desk.
I've always wanted a smart home and I am thrilled to finally have one!

pros - better maintenance better coverage
excellent salesmen and service techs
better response seems to be a better and advanced system.
both salesman and service techs answered all questions and explained in detail the system and costs.

cons- shocked when two men showed up at house and was knocking on my door calling my name out. Suspicious of third man sitting in car supposed to be manager .
during discussion of system unaware that the service techs were being scheduled to come immediately for which I was not prepared.

all in all with sales talk and installation it took about 4+ hours when finished tech left a clean work area and both tech and salesman are given a A+ grade.. There was a total of two salesmen and two techs which all were neat, polite, and informative.

Everything went well. From the lead salesman, Austin through the installation technician, Ryan, all went fairly smoothly. There was only one compatibility glitch with the doorbell cam dealing with an HD doorbell. We were able to resolve the issue with another cam placement indoors giving us the opportunity and flexibility to install exterior cams later. I have and will recommend AMP to others. Tim W.

Mark M was great. He took his time in presenting AMP Smart. Not pushy like most. It was easy to see he backed what he was presenting. As well as the techs who came to install my system ( Aivon, Edward). They both were very friendly but carried themselves very professionally. Both made sure I understood how to work the system and showed me the avenues to take if I forgot. Each made me comfortable knowing about the use before leaving. Both took on the extra mile while cleaning up behind themselves. Leaving no mess behind for me. My experience was a positive one from the moment Mark entered my home until Aivon and Edward left. Thank you guys for now making me feel safe in my home.

Very pleased with both the service and the equipment. I've been wanting to install a security system for some time now, but out of sight out of mind. I hadn't ever gotten around to doing it. The representative was knowledgeable and efficient. the system was installed quickly by courteous technicians and is so easy to use. I was worried it would take a lot of time to learn the system but it is quite user friendly. Overall, very pleased and happy to have finally gotten this done.

The entire experience was incredible from start to finish. Both the Joey (rep) and Cory (tech) were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. The entire process less time than we thought. We were not looking to change our system but after talking with Joey and seeing the possible improvements, we decided to take a chance. Boy.......are we glad we did!!!! The system is awesome and the features are tremendous. The upgrading of technology is really pretty cool. We would recommend to anyone to take a look at this system. In addition to the installation, it was followed up by a drop by visit to check that everything was working correctly and that we were satisfied with the product. Very impressive!!!!!

When the product was sold to me the salesman, Calen, stated we would have a state of the art fire alarm that would alert the fire department at the slightest sign of heat. He claimed that the alarm could detect any significant change of heat within 10 degrees. He entered our house in order to inspect based on the safety of our pets due to the fact that they would be unsafe if a fire were to occur and we only had audio fire alarms. However, when our power went out tonight and we had to light our house with candle, every single one of our fire alarms went off EXCEPT the one Calen promised would save our pets. Every alarm EXCEPT the one we play 65.99 a month for. It makes me seriously concerned for the safety of our pets, which is the ONLY reason we signed up with AMP in the first place.

AMP Smart failed to disclose or request my permission to do a hard credit check as a result my credit score was negatively impacted. Since when do you need a credit check for a 75$ a month security system when you're selling to someone in a home thats worth $450k. I am quite unimpressed. That's the thing with door to door salesmen, they cant ever be upfront and honest and they dont care about the consumer base at all.

Horrible. Asked them to either freeze my account or close. There is a 3 yr contract, that I just found out about. If I pay it off then they'll cancel it. To freeze the account, they want my financial info. Sara refused to let me talk to a supervisor. Husband disabled and I'm off due to Covid-19.
Everyone should know how unreasonable this company is.

Hunter from AMP Smart was very helpful!!

He walked me through how to change the batteries on two of the sensors in my house and how to fix our indoor camera because it wasn't connecting probably to our WiFi. He was very patient and his instructions were clear, effective, and easy to follow. Everything is now working properly!

Thanks a ton for your help Hunter! Keep up the great work!!!

Also AMP Smart is a great alarm service! Their dispatch gets in contact with you right away via email and phone as soon as an alarm goes off at your house. They make sure you're okay and contacts the authorities as well to check on the house while your away and the alarm is going off.

Their app is very easy to use and has a lot of features that are very useful-- i.e. adjusting your heat, arming/disarming your home, and checking your camera all can be done remotely on your smartphone.

Whenever I call customer service or their 24 hour alarm hotline, I have always spoken to a rep that is friendly and helpful. Not once have i had any bad experience with a rep.

Thanks for all that you do AMP Smart! Pls continue to help others the way you do and please continue to help keep everyone safe! Thank you!!

Have gotten false alarms and system won't work from our phones. Supposed to do an upgrade on Saturday the 22 and never showed up called today and rescheduled for tonight at 6 no show again. Makes me feel secure when you don't show up for your own products!!!

... Within 15 minutes of posting my frustration in the following review, I was contacted by the Director of AMP Security. Jason was right on it! He was able to correct the past mistakes, and gave great effort to make it RIGHT!! Thank you, Great Effort!!! Changing my edit from 1 star to 5

Expecting adequate support and security service is far from what you get. 60 month contract with the ability to transfer terms to new owners if you sell is absolutely the hardest to do. After 3 months of assuming a residency and agreeing to assume the remaining 40 month contract has left me unable to access my home through AMP Smart...not so smart systems. The account is still residing with the previous owner even though I have docusigned both credit check and contract terms. When calling into customer service, the ever so polite phone techs, are miss informed and have no power or ability to escalate. How is that for security? AMP Security claims they are always in contact with their equipment... until they are not...when your locked out and have provided the secure passcode... you still must call a locksmith. To good to be true... well it gets better, with each and every interaction, employees fail to escalate, and notate. If you value your time and sanity keep searching for a better Secuirty solution! ...

Dylan & his team were a wealth of knowledge during our process to switch from Simplisafe to AMP. As you know, there are many things to consider when selecting the technology that protects your home and family 24/7.

Reliability - Simplisafe was not reliable and often disconnected from dispatch. AMP's LTE connectivity ensures 24/7 connectivity and reliability.

Interoperability - integrates with our other smart home devices, such as Nest, Alexa & Ring (although we opted for the AMP camera doorbell), and all can be controlled from a central application.

Tablet/Panel Controls - the touch screen control panel allows you to talk back via your smart doorbell. In the event of an emergency, the monitoring company will actually talk to you via the control panel to make sure everything is OK. The talkback feature was a big selling point.

User Experience - the devices and controls are intuitive and easy to navigate.

Quick Process from End to End - the entire process took a couple hours from start to finish, including installation. Dylan and Reed gave us a fantastic introduction to and demo of the product, and the tech, Alex, was out there right as we were finishing up. Took him about an hour to install the whole system and train us on how to use it.

We haven't been customers long, but we can already tell AMP will be our long-term security solution.

Super excited about our new AMP Smart security system that includes the door bell camera, smart thermostat, night vision cameras all accessed by our smart phones. Really impressed with the quality, innovation and service this company provides. Installation was quick and coordinated. Our representative Dylan Brodigan was professional and returned twice after we went live to answer any additional questions that we might have. We are extremely satisfied and would highly recommend!

I'm very upset by this company. Both the "marketing guy" and tech were great guys. We even fed them dinner because they were fun to talk to and felt like good friends. Unfortunately, this company is shady and hides all their costs through different wording. The "marketing guy" claims not to be a salesman and that the salesman are coming later in the summer. He claimed this was an opportunity because our yard was pretty for us to market their business in exchange for free equipment. In reality, you pay for the equipment through their loan financing option that I didn't even want to be a part of. In the end, this company is the same price as every other company just wording it by monthly payments instead of up front equipment fee. I wouldn't even be upset about paying the same as other security companies but the fact that they made me believe I was getting everything free and was helping them out by marketing for them when I'm paying the same as every other company, as well as my marketing guy really being the regular summer salesman in disguise which he later revealed through disclosing his commission on each sale... Clearly he couldn't give all these marketing sales to everyone on the street right? Which he gave the same pitch to every neighbor... Including my good friend. It is infuriating. Also, not exaggerating at all, less than 2 minutes after they left from installing the equipment (I tried to catch him down the street because it happened so quickly) the sensor fell off the door after shutting it once. It would not go back on. I'm so frustrated that this company made me feel stupid by their "special deals" and hidden words and meaning and had me waste an entire night entertaining their honest and reliable company. I have never left a negative review for someone but I'm fully disappointed and frustrated.

I have to say I have had other Security companies in the past, and by far Amp Smart is by far the best company Ive had. The customer service is 5 stars always trying to help me when I need anything. Jason the Director of Customer Service deserves a raise. He has never not been available, Id recommend this company to my family and friends.
