I was introduced to Levi, a sales rep from AMP who worked with our family to get the security system setup and installed at our house. As this was something our family had been considering for some time, we decided to give it a try.

Levi was able to offer a great package and included a few additional items at a discount as well.
Dan, the installation tech who came to our place multiple times ensured that the items were installed and configured properly.
Everyone was professional, cordial, and ensured they were not rude in any way, and very considerate, and Dan ensured he cleaned up afterwards each time he had to come by, which he agreed to only upon our requests to install additional items.

I had been in the security market for some time so I certainly knew what I was getting into (for the most part), but for new customers, I always recommend doing your own research and always knowing your options.

Levi did include additional alarms to the package upon my additional request, though he did ask us to enter into contract first, given there was a 3-day trial period. Some people may not like that approach, but it worked out well for us, and we like the security system overall.

SCAM! Don't do it! Horrible company! Any positive reviews are most likely from the company itself. Technicians will do a shotty job installing and leave damage to your home, aside form not picking up after themselves. techs have no expertise or legitimate training. Same as hiring the teenager down street and just letting them do whatever. Once installed pray you never have any issues (unlikely), because in most areas they only have 1 part time technician with a highly limited availability to do maintenance and repairs.

I had the best Alarm Girl(Angela Green) and Technician (Edward Kern) from AMP Smart secure my home. Every security and safety concern I had from my elderly father to my teenage daughter was taken care of. The system is so simple to use my 8 yr old some has already mastered it. I'm so grateful for my AMP Smart team, they protect me just like family.

We love our AMP smart security system. We knew with our new addition to the family, we wanted to make sure the house was secure and detect when activity was happing around the house and the AMP system does just that. Our sales Rep Gary Bolen was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable and professional. He was able to answer all of my questions and give us a solution that fit our needs. I feel completely secure know with our system and recommend this company to anyone looking to protect there family!

4/28/19 I call AMP about a problem I was having with my alarm system. The tech that I spoke with was very uncaring and did not know much about the system. Feeling very disgusted I left a bad review. Today I called and spoke with Hunter and this young man was very knowledgeable and caring. He answered all of my questions and told me not to worry everything was find.. Today I feel safe. Hats off to Hunter for a job extremely well done. Thanks Hunter you rock.

Sam Kurhajec is so intuned! best choice we made. Customer service is amazing! I was hesitant at first because he came to my door but I felt that I could trust him. Alex did a great job at installing it as well. Ive had three other systems and amp has been by far the best system by a long shot. My doorbell camera is so cool. Kudos to Sam for making me get this.

I got a new security system set up today , thank you Chris Wisbey with AMP Smart !!! My car was broken into a couple weeks ago and hopefully will never have that problem again but if we do , we re secured ! I was also recommended to get the medical response (kinda like life alert) for mom & cameras for the house :)

The experience I had was very frustrating. Felt like no one cared....

I had someone call me and offer assistance. She was very nice to me. She just wanted to help, because this stuff can hurt new customers.

If you have a chance to give them a chance, I feel way more appreciated now then I did when I 1st got these guys. The stuff is working. We feel safer, and they helped me with all the issues I had. I do reccomend them because the equipment was never bad. Customer service was hard to deal with until this nice lady called me to help.

Some things they can fix like, the customer service of people that come to my home. People we get connected to when we need something. If they had 100 people like the person who called me. They wouldnt have issues.

Britain was very patient as we went through the process of reconnecting my doorbell camera to my new modem/router. After several attempts it was determined that I needed to contact my internet service. Instead of doing that I started from the beginning again and this time made sure my cellphone was connected to the proper wifi and started the process all over.... success!!! Thanks for your help with out your patient encouragement I may not have persevered.

I would like to thank Hunter Oredson for his exceptional customer service skills. His knowledge of the product he represent is outstanding.
In my years of dealing with customer service personnel, I ve never met anyone as dedicated as Hunter as far as helping a customer. He explained and walk me through any situation I was in. With his help I was able to order two surveillance cameras which I received today.
If I was to run into any problem with the installation, Hunter said to call him personally and he would help me solve any issue I would have.
If there were more people like Hunter Oredson, It would be a pleasure dealing with the business world. AMP I thank you for your Home security system, it much more enjoyable now thanks to Hunter I give him five stars. Thanks Hunter

Don't go with this company, the salesmen are full ...

Don't go with this company, the salesmen are full of lies and the customer service is horrible.
Long story short I purchased a plan and only received/installed half of what I was promised.
Equipment didn't work like it was suppose to. Was told the equipment did a lot more than it actually does. Completely unsatisfied with the service and equipment.
I was told I had about a week to try it out and if I didn't like it I could cancel with no charge.
Tried calling the salesman to fix the problem, he never answered the phone or called me back. Tried calling customer service to cancel and they were rude and unhelpful and told me I would have to pay a cancellation fee. When asked to speak with someone else I was told there isn't anyone else I could speak with and all he could do is tell me the fee for canceling. Not to mention I was charged the wrong amount, almost double the price that was agreed upon.
Reporting this company to the Better business bureau and taking legal action if I don't get anyone to resolve this.

Amp Smart goes above and beyond with everything from sales, representatives, install techs, service techs, and even customer service! I am beyond pleased with my new Amp Smart panel and system! We upgraded from adt 4 months ago and have never looked back once! The options Amp has to offer as well as the brain function of their panel destroys the competition by far. I would recommend to anyone looking to update their current system or even someone on the open market looking for a new system!

We were approached by a salesmen who came to our door. He showed us the system and service which we happily agreed to signed the contract and set a installation date. To our surprise my husband was notified that his credit had been ran which was NEVER authorized or disclosed, we contacted the rep immediately (within 3 days) as well as AMP customer service. We asked to cancel the service as we were never advised that our credit was going to be ran, the customer service rep said they would submit a letter to the credit bureau to have the issue corrected and removed from my credit. In the mean time she will leave the ticket open until the problem was resolved, that was 3 months ago and my credit report still shows there inquiry. I am still getting charged for a system that I do not use. I have tried my best to reach out to customer service and upper management to get a refund however they refuse. Why would anyone want to deal with an UNTRUST WORTHY, DECIEVING company
We have both wasted our time and just want to return there system and want our money back for a service that wasn t used! We have left several messages and if we do not hear back we will be seeking legal help! Would not recommend this company

I'm a high school age kid who lives in a fairly safe suburb. After we got the AMP smart home installed I got the app on my phone. It is SO easy to use, the main panel is so nice and fancy, and it makes me feel so safe when I'm home alone. I would recommend getting amp to anyone who owns a home. Period. Dogs don't solve security problems, and neither do guns. However, amp does!

Do not go with this company. It is a very sketchy company in general. This young woman walked up and approached me and my husband while we were outside at 8:00 o clock at night. She asked to speak to both spouses about her company. We were nice enough to say we would listen to her spiel then we were going to turn her away. We usually do not listen to salesman or any of that. She asked to come in so she had something to write down on, that was fine, whatever. Well then she just so happened to have an almost dead cell-phone battery and asked to use a charger for her phone. I understand things happen but this was a woman representing a company and I would think you would have your phone charged. We let her charge her phone for a bit and listened to her spiel. She then says if we are eligible, (does not say how this is determined) , then we would qualify for this for $99 one time installation fee. She then starts calling people on her phone which keeps dying because she didn't have it charged, she finally reaches someone on the phone and says great you are eligible! We at this point, were waiting for her to leave but not sure what to tell her. All the sudden, these two men start knocking on our door. She says well actually a technician was able to come now and install the equipment. I never signed a contract or anything. These men start drilling holes into my walls and that's when my husband stopped them and said wait a second we didn't want this. They call the manager whom my husband speaks to. The manager still tries to sell this to my husband. Come to find out this is a five year plan and he tried to offer us a 3 year plan and even 2 weeks free. My husband said no please get these people out we are not interested. The saleswoman leaves and somehow gets picked up by the manager because she was just freely walking around the neighborhood. Few days later we thought everything was done, then on Memorial Day the fire department shows up at my house and states they have a reported fire from our panel. Again, we never installed anything. Tell me how the fire department showed up. Very livid with this company. I hope I do not see one of those salesman walking around again.

I have had problems since day one with this compan...

I have had problems since day one with this company. While they were setting it up they called their dispatch and told them to put a freeze on the system since they were testing the different doors and windows to make sure they all worked independently. Less than half an hour later there s a knock on my door. My street is blocked off by a fire truck, ambulance and police cars who say they re getting a silent alarm from my residence. I was so annoyed that I miscalculated the days and called the company on the morning of day 4 to cancel. I was told I missed the 3 day cancellation period. I was told my options were to sell the house or sell the system to a family member who didn t have one. Even after selling the house they re saying I still owe them thousands of dollars. I never armed the thing in fear of having a repeat incident. The camera never worked, which I called on every 3 weeks like clockwork. They kept saying I d have to pay for someone to come and look at it. They finally said they would wave the fee and that a technician would be out, which never happened. I had the system for years and wouldn t recommend it to anyone.

AMP Smart has been one of my favorite places to work thus far! The team leads and managers really care about their employees and their customers that it makes it such an enjoyable place to work at. I gained so many skills and experiences working at this place. Instead of only being trained in one specific task, I was trained in three: customer service, technical support, and scheduling. Not only did this better equip me to handle phone calls, but it also cut down the time for customers who were waiting to speak with an agent. Everyone who worked here, worked as a team in unison. If you didn t know or have the answers a customer was looking for, everyone was always so willing to help you find a solution. If you ve heard awful things about working at a call center, this company does not fall into any of those stereotypes! This is truly a great company to have worked for.

I don't recommend any company that signs me up takes my $ but wont respond when I reach out. Service is trash! On hold now my 3 call endless hold.

The customer service rep, Hunter was nice and he waited patiently while I had to prepare and then email a document to him. He gave good customer service. I also dealt with a rep named Brenna who was nice.But my overall view of AMP is a poor one. I'm very sad that I have been paying for an alarm system that hasn't worked correctly since the day it was installed. The whole process was disheartening. I want to cancel AMP and send back their faulty equipment and amicably part ways. Brenna and Hunter are the only 2 reasons for the 2 stars.

I love our AMPSmart! I have two young children and I am so grateful for the peace of mind and conveniences it provides. I love our doorbell camera and I love that I can access it through my phone literally anywhere in the world. Gary Bolen was very helpful and designed an amazing system specific to our needs. He answered all of our questions and was very nice. Dave Luman was also very neat and timely with installing our system. He made sure to show us how to properly use our AMPSmart system.

Do not purchase! Horrible equipment and very expensive!! For the money I paid could ve went to a more reputable company and spent a little more for a good product! Had less than a year cameras work when they want to, tried for a week to get a tech out, first time customer service never called me back, 2 nd time had me on hold then call disconnected, 3rd call they get me a service date a week out! It s been a month for our equipment to work! We do not have time to stay on the phone each time to reboot the system we have JOBS!! I don t care how awesome your sales rep is the equipment doesn t work!!! The cameras are garbage they can t be far away from your router and we have a mesh network so trust me we are very tech savvy and have tried everything! They need better equipment so cameras pick up signal !! 2500.00 and nothing works! Plus a 5 year contract! Take my advise go to sams club they have better cameras more up to speed and modern! Shameful stealing hard working people money! Ohh let s not for the 35.00 tech fee with a month of non working cameras paying my monthly service On time! and no alarm system but yet I have to pay for a tech!!

True to his word, Jason took the time to reach out and to listen patiently to all my concerns. He assured me that the feedback I gave was noted and would be passed on to the sales reps. I appreciated his willingness to listen and will choose to give him the benefit of the doubt on this. I hope sales reps will take note: stick to the truth. AMP has good equipment and excellent customer service, so use those as selling points rather than misleading the customers on the "great deal" that they "can't pass up".

I still recommend doing your research and make sure that AMP is the right company for you before agreeing to anything.

Customer Service: 5 stars
Quality of Equipment: 4 stars
Sales Experience: 2 stars
Overall: 3.5 stars (I'll mark 4 since Jason went above and beyond)

TLDR: Do your research before agreeing to anything and don't let them pressure you. The system itself is fine, but I probably wouldn't enter into such a long contract at such a high rate if I could do it over again.

We purchased the system a month ago and I have mixed feelings about AMP.

The sales tactics are enticing but awful. I'm sorry to say I fell for it. The salesman way oversold the system. He made it sound like they were cutting us a great deal because we would be a "model home" for the neighborhood. I've wanted to install a security system in our home, so I was hesitant to pass on this "opportunity". Only to find out later that it was the standard offer and is way more expensive than the competition! He valued the "free" equipment they were including at over $3,000, but on the final invoice it turned out much less than that, which was frankly dishonest. He also omitted several important details, such as the exorbitantly high cancellation fees, and encouraged me to rush through the contract. The whole process was very rushed, with the implication that this was a one-time opportunity. All of this causes me a lot of stress, especially since I'm now locked into a five year contract with these people! (way too long of a contract btw)

Generally, the equipment itself seems good. The only problem I suspect is that the doorbell doesn't seem to be capturing all motion it should.

My customer service interactions have also been generally been positive, although I have been waiting a while for some documentation I was promised regarding the contract.

I have an AMP Security alarm. I've been very pleased with my experience. My representative was very helpful with answering my questions. I love the home automation (thermostat, doorbell, cameras) my wife loves the security. I never felt pressured from AMP it was the best experience I've ever had with a door to door person. When the technician arrived to install my home automation equipment (which I was really excited about) he was very friendly and very knowledgable. He took the time to explain everything so my wife and I felt very comfortable with our new home automation system. I recommend AMP Security to everyone I know.

David Taylor sold me the system was so nice and friendly and Chris F. installed our system and made sure to walk me through everything! He answered all my questions and was the absolutely best technician I've ever welcomed into my home. When he left I felt like I was saying goodbye to a friend not another stranger! If you go with this company reccomend Chris for installation he will make sure everything is working properly with you and that you are knowledgeable!

Overall I was happy with the sales team and especially Taylor who set me up through the chat. I am leaving this review mainly because of how impressed I was with Jonathan Hughes who installed our system. He went the extra mile and did incredible work. He was also very friendly and I never felt like there was a stranger in my home. I normally don t leave reviews but Jonathan should be recognized for his hard work.

I had been looking at some home security items online for a while and couldn't decide! Then, lo and behold, comes a knock on my door. David Jeys sat in my house and listened to all my crazy questions and left me with an amazing security system the same day!! I accidentally set off the alarm one day and they were calling me within seconds. Product and service have been exceptional so far! Highly recommend these guys!!

After a few instances where my vehicle was broken into, and a shattered window I started doing some research on getting a security system.

I looked into a few companies such as adt and was not happy with a lot of there reviews and also how there customer service was not reliable. I ended up putting it off until a young gentlemen stopped at my door informing me how they were doing some work in the neighborhood. Our sales rep Sam Kurhajec from amp smart sat down with me and went over some options without pushing me into any decision I felt that Sam was very legitimate and knew what he was doing. I couldn't be happier with the service that amp has provided me. The equipment is excellent and the wireless system that I can use on my phone makes me feel so much more secure. Great company in every aspect. Wouldn't have this system without Sam

This is the worse company in human history, and it has the evilest salesman! He wondered around, knocked on every door and he would promise you many things, but everything single thing is a lie! He said if you buy our system, you will get 15$ off each month from AAA for home insurance, but it turns out to be 15$ a year! He defamed other security company and said others are all more expensive and not as good as them, and it turns out they are the worst, worst service, highest price. After the installation, for sure he will disappear forever, you can never reach his phone any more. Can I really trust the AMP security company, which is full of lies and dishonest, could actually protect our home? Several neighbors get cheated, and almost all of us are the first time user of security system, otherwise we will not be fooled and deceived by them!

Told employees that they basically lived in a "homeless shelter", as well as told employees they were not working if they didn't run someone's credit, gave all grown adults a 10pm curfew and controlled 25-50 year olds lives, I left a negative environment to try to better my life, and was thrown into a company where alot of employees were drinking and doing drugs regularly. This is an unacceptable work environment and the fact that they expect 100 percent effort when they give a negative work environment is absolutely a backwards way of thinking. Get it together and start treating your employees as humans instead of "betting" on your employees like dogs at a race tack. 6 days a week 12 hours a day door to door without any breaks, how is that realistic, and tell your employees to "die trying".... Real great for company morale.
