American Installations was the most professional, customer friendly business that I have ever dealt with. Efficient, hard working, polite, considerate and clean. Every person I spoke to, (from my initial call to job completion), was an absolute pleasure to deal with.

We had American Installations come to our house to perform an Energy Audit. After meeting with the Energy Analyst, we decided to have them come back to make some necessary improvements to our house's weatherization needs. From the Energy Audit to the Installation, the staff at American Installations were very professional, and did a great job, (and saved us a ton of money)!

We would highly recommend anyone to give them a call!

Through the Mass Save website, I found American Installations and called for an energy assessment so I can get my attic insulation beefed-up. MassSave told me I could call an approved contractor myself and it may be quicker vs the current three month wait if coordinating through Mass Save directly. Oil heated, 1965 cape in West Springfield. My attic needing insulation is approx 37' long x 27' wide. Due to the slope of my roof there is no interior access, so the attic would have to be accessed via the exterior.

The woman who returned my call and was a bit brief with me insinuated they were disinterested and to call someone else, preferably go through Mass Save directly. I got the sense my project was too small for them. I was left speechless thinking they're doing work for a utility program (Mass Save), which has the intent of improving energy efficiency for homes and they don't want to help me, not even come out and take a look at my project or at the least offer to do an energy assessment and if they don't want the insulation project, so be it. So business must be really good where they can pick & choose projects.

American Installations has a very nice website, but their cold shoulder with my project was a major turn-off. I hope to speak with MassSave so they know the attitude of an "approved contractor".

From start to finish, the professionals at American Installations took excellent care of me! Jason, the inspection and planner, did a thorough inspection and found numerous areas to fix with foam, foam board and other insulation. Through the Mass Saves program it was so incredibly inexpensive that you can t pass it up. The installers were fantastic. They were careful around the house, laid down drop clothes, picked up, swept and vacuumed all the rooms they worked in. They also took the time to explain everything they were doing to make sure I knew and understood everything. I ve already noticed the furnace has not been on nearly as much with all the extra insulation and foam sealant.

They just finished the house I live in and will be working on my rental in a month. Can t wait to get that done and be energy efficient everywhere!

American Installation came to my house to air seal cellar and attic in 2018. The crew that came rushed through, they left insulation down in my cellar. They threw all their trash in my attic (spray foam cans) which are still up there and they left in such a hurry that they left the big spray foam gun kit behind and had to come back! Then months back I went into the attic to find mold all over the roof. I had two different contractors and a HERS rating company look at it and they all agree that the attic should never have been sealed without properly venting. I contacted American installations, spoke to both owners who are very unprofessional and should not own a business, they are denying that it is their fault yet even an employee of their company came back out to assess the house and stated he believes it it their fault and was supposed to go back and handle it with a manager. Full of excuses and false accusations on reasoning why the mold could have started. The house was built in 1975 I've owned it since 2011 and after 2018 when they were up in the attic the mold started.
They state in their response I was abusive to their staff.... No, just the owners who refuse to accept what they did! They also state that the house has poor ventilation, maybe it does but it worked until they sealed it. They came back to inspect a couple months ago to now find out the house needs more ventilation. Why would they seal up a house tighter if there was not enough ventilation beforehand? They did not inspect my house properly the first time!

I called MassSave for an energy audit and was connected with American Installations. We had a great experience with them, starting with the energy audit. We knew some of our issues-lacking insulation in the attic, needing new windows....but as a result of the audit, we found out there was a lot of heat escaping through our attic hatch.
We contracted with American Installations to do the work and they helped us through the process. In fact, they take care of everything!
Prompt and effective communication via phone and email (most convenient for me when I was working) with Wyatt and the rest of the team.
Our insulation and air sealing work went smoothly and we look forward to reaping the savings. And we'll be calling next year for the next stage of work to be done!

Not 100% happy with quality of work. The rubber sealing at the bottom of the doors were not evenly centered in the bracket. Had to remove them, adjust to where they should be then screw back into the door. Sealing around the doors did not match up to the color of the woodwork. House was FULL of dust when they left. Had to do a lot of cleaning to get the house back into order. If I had the chance to do it again, I would pass.

Just had our house energy assessment done by Lucasz S. He was on time and performed all checks. I never felt pressured to sign anything and he explained everything the company will be doing. Great guy! I even gave him my wifi password :) I will update this post after the company finishes the work. My appointment is in Feb.

The team that came to my home were professional, clean & knowledge. They were great about answering any questions and never stopped working. However, when they had to leave because leasttbasementhey had another another appointent, they vacuumed but did not put my belongs back against the walls, left all the lights in basement. I couldn't get to the one in workshop & ceiling tiles didn't go back up properly. I am two months out of surgery for a hip replacement & live alone. Unable to even push a couch back much less climb a ladder to put ceiling tiles back.

I want to say thank you to American Insulation for the excellent job they did. From the initial energy audit done by Joe, to the work done by Dan and his crew. They were very professional and friendly. They did not hesitate to answer our questions, and they also explained what they would be doing at each process, from installing insulation in the basement, to installing insulation in the attic, weather proofing the doors. When they were done they also cleaned up the debris that was left after installing the insulation. I also notice that the house is warmer. Thanks for a great job.

This feels odd to say, but I always look forward to anyone from American Installations coming to our home. From the first energy assessment to the attic & basement work they did, they've been unfailingly polite, respectful, super friendly, and a joy to talk to. They were so patient answering all my questions about what they were doing (I had a lot). They knew their stuff, and things they didn't know they didn't pretend to, which I find admirable.
I also find the company admirable in general due to how attentive they are to their customers. Every time I have work done the office calls me to confirm and the workers call me when they're on their way. When I needed work done by an outside contractor, they set the work up for me and followed up with me periodically to see how the other company was treating us. I just feel really taken care of!
Now, I should actually address the work they do; I'll be honest, I don't know much about houses except how to occupy them, but it does feel warmer in here after they put the insulation in so I think they're also good at what they do. Wish more companies were like them & love using someone local!

Lukasz did an excellent job on our Mass Save home energy audit. He is a thorough professional and arrived on the dot for the appointment. As he was doing his job, I picked his brain over problems and potential projects in our home. He answered questions clearly and didn t shy away from saying I don't know when necessary. His knowledge and experience showed in his work as well. All-in-all, exudes confidence and trustworthiness. I d have no hesitation in recommending Lukasz and American Installations.

UPDATE: In response to the reply from the business - at no point have they tried to call me to talk about what happened. I have no reason to lie about my experience, and you can see from my review history, I'm not one to just go around giving low star reviews to places without thought. My original review stands.

We were using the incentive program to help with some insulation issues in our home. They had someone come to create the initial quote. When the workers came, they tried to get us to agree to thousands of dollars of additional work outside of the initial contract we signed, and would not perform the work contracted unless we agreed to the additional work. We tried to contact American Installations about it, and they said their "workers don't do that". I called Columbia Gas' incentive program immediately to let them know about the situation, because it was coming off like a scam. They connected us with a verified contractor through them who gave us an accurate quote and contract, and have me filing a formal report with their fraud department.

If you are looking for someone to work with using the Mass Save program, do not use this company. Call your gas company directly and work with the provider they can verify will do the process legally and correctly.

I gave an additional star because while I had to ask three times via email and phone for a refund of my initial deposit, they did refund my deposit.

We are extremely happy with American Installations and all the work they performed for us. Courteous and friendly crew, explained everything they were doing, and then got on with it. They accomplished a lot in the short time they were here! We highly recommend them. Many thanks to all the young men who worked on our job for us.

They were on time, did the job and were very friendly. Even though seem to be very forgetful as they forgot the paperwork that they apparently need to submit for a refund from the masssave program. They schedule a time to do a quick retest to do new paperwork but they never came or told me they weren't coming. I am assuming they found the paperwork. Now I was going to let that go but then today I found they had forgotten to put back the light from the attic. That is the 4th thing they forgot to do when they did the job. Also I recommended them to a family member they weren't too happy with the person that did the audit. I just can't justify giving 5 stars with that many mistakes.

They're are the best energy efficiency company in U.S....trust me are the best...

Wyatt pretty much nailed the estimates down to the penny in the initial assessment. Adam and crew performed the dirty works with all effort to seal the gaps and holes in the attic and basement. In fact, the basement is now warmer than before. Appreciate for the excellent works, and looking forward for savings in the electric bill :)

My wife and I were very happy with our experience with American Installations. They were very professional and clear re. what they did and what the cost would be.. They did what they said and answered all questions along with sticking their quote of cost adjusting it only after explanation.
They were timely and did exactly what they said. They showed up when stated and finished on time with a great clean up each day.

Had American Installations insulate my mudroom which was built on top of a deck. It wasn't easy to get to, with many obstacles in the way. If i had known how cold it would be in the mudroom i would have done this prior to finishing the room, but the installers were gracious about it. Worked in the non ideal conditions with under 3 ft of room under the deck and did a great job!. They cleaned up after themselves and I'm very happy with the work and how much warmer my mudroom is now. Definitely will recommend them to everyone.

American Installations is an excellent company. From start to finish I was pleased with the office workers and every one of the guys in the crews and the crew chiefs. I was a crew chief for about a year and a half, and a crew member for a half of a year before that. I no longer work there, but am still thankful for all they taught me and the opportunities provided.

Lucas was an extremely knowledgeable and professional AI Rep. He came on time, was very thorough with his energy audit, took the time to explain to me where our energy/heat issues were, and saved me almost $6k with the free and discounted services through our gas and energy companies. Even the small amount I will pay will be recouped in less than 1.5 years of energy bill reduction. I am very pleased with this program and Lucas. Great job. I will be letting everyone know. It is free money and a warmer house! I also want to note it is Thanksgiving Eve and still Lucas took his time to be thorough and conscientious. Much appreciated!

What a great bargain having them come into my house. They replaced all the light bulbs and weatherized and it cost me nothing. They were professional, courteous and knowledgeable.

Excellent, I have used American Installers in the past and would definitely use them again in the future. They recently did a whole house blown in insulation. Their staff provided an exceptional experience from start to completion of work. They are always professional, courteous, and pay particular attention to detail. The quality of work was excellent. The job was completed on time. The workers always arrived on time and the job site was always cleaned up at the end of every day. Any problems or concerns were addressed in a timely professional manner and were followed through until resolved. Overall an excellent experience.

Pretty funny that you leave a review and they contact you within a hour. But they can t even make a follow up call to reinsure the cancellation was received. But the only message you received was a marking robot to call for a service instead of a cancellation voicemail. They are more concerned about cutting the ineligible to make room for someone else.

The energy audit and work we had done was all handled very professionally. The entire process was explained through every phase and completed as agreed. We saved a bunch of money through the Mass Save program and should on our bills going forward. Great Job American Installations!

I am a happy customer. My home is now sealed up and more energy efficient. Based on my experience, I give American Installation four out of five stars. The path to get here had a couple bumps but everything was addressed to my complete satisfaction. We all make mistakes. What mattered to me was how American Installation responded to my feedback. They responded quickly. They took responsibility. They apologized for the misses. The sent in the A-team and they fixed the issues. They used it as an opportunity to train team members and learn. But I also don't want to lose track of the fact that 90% of the work had been done well to begin with. And when they had some extra foam insulation they added a couple inches more than they needed to in the attic. They didn't have to do that but they did and my family and I will benefit from that for years to come. Thanks, American Installation! - The "Christmas Tree Lights" house.

I never called this place or contacted them. One of my friends had a meeting with them and they asked him to name 3 people who might be interested. I was one of the people he mentioned. This was about 2 years ago. They called me and I told them I am not interested. They still call me frequently even after I've told them repeatedly I am not interested. I ended up blocking their number and I still see they are trying to call me.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Everyone was polite, so it's unfortunate that 1 lazy, careless employee ruined this experience. After they left my home I swept up 8 tiny nails from my hallway where they were working, and 6 more from my front steps. I stepped on a nail, but was grateful my toddler didn't step on it, or worse, swallow it. Extremely disgusted in the carelessness shown

We are very happy with the work done by American Installations. They are honest and hard working people After their insulation work, our house much more comfortable this winter, and we used about half as much oil as last year.

I would highly recommend American Installations! My experience with them was nothing but positive. All the staff, from Wyatt who came in to do the initial assessment, to Amanda who helped with all the scheduling to get the work completed, and finally Eddie and his amazing crew who did the actual work. We have a very large house and they had to spend a few days here, but they were professional, neat, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure that the job was done right!! I can't say enough about everyone involved. It is rare to have a company now a days where you have such a positive experience every step of the way!

Terrible company. I worked here for a bit of time, got injured on the job, and got fired for it. First, it's illegal to fire someone for an injury on the job, so that shows the class of these people, and they are lucky I don't plan on suing them like my friends and family are telling me too. Two, I was trained to do things half ass, as I later discovered. Three, yes the employees are professional for the most part in front of the customer but behind closed doors. Ridiculous and immature. Would not recommend to anyone.

A fabulous result at THE RED HOUSE with American Installations. Thru Mass Saves, they are the top. When they measured my house it was practically a sieve with the equivalent of 10 open windows. A crew of five worked for five hours. At the end, the house measured the equivalent of one open window. Cost to me, $210. Goodby to that killer $610 electric bill. My wholehearted recommendation should you have them work on your house may give me a small cash credit.For the contact info message me. Mention my name.

I want to say thank you to American Insulation for the excellent job they did. Dan and his crew were very professional and friendly and the work was very well done. They took great care in protecting my furniture and they left my house at least as clean as it was before they arrived (probably cleaner). I am very pleased with their work and would recommend them without any reservations.

This was a great experience. Everyone involved - from the Audit specialist, to the work professionals who did the actual work, to the people in the office who kept us up to date with the process - were wonderful to work with. I would definitely recommend American Installations for your weatherization work. I'm almost looking forward to the cold weather so that I can see how much money I'll be saving!!

Had our Mass Save energy assessment and weatherization project done by American Installations. We are new homeowners and don't have much to draw from for comparison, but we are fully satisfied with the work that has been done and hope our home will benefit from the improvements in the long run. We especially appreciated their level of customer service regarding communication (confirmation phone calls and working patiently with us as we needed to reschedule at the last moment, called when team was on the way, they notified us of opportunities to reschedule for earlier, etc.). The team we had in our home for weatherization/insulation were all hard-working, courteous, and professional young men, and we appreciated their independence and ability to keep the noise/distractions down on the day of the project so we could go about our business. We also used American Installations to get a quote for installing mini-splits for heat/AC, and although we decided against the project for now, that free consultation appointment was very informative. Thank you!
