I wish I could give zero stars! Calling for a debt that was paid YEARS ago! All they can say is, we work with the agency (Bayhealth) and they said you have a debt. Scams! Called Bayhealth and there is no such bill and never was! Will forward all information to my attorney!

if I could rate a 0 I would. First off don't call my house wanting to verify my address and name. Who the heck are you? There are too many dishonest people in the world. The stranger on the other end of my line then says I can't tell you this unless you first tell me this. Are you out of your mind lady? I guess we won't talk then. The world is not as trustworthy as it use to be. You must tell us who you are and why you are calling.

Converse Texas Neighborhood Medical clinic for emergencies, they will write off medical unpaid balances and will destroy your credit score for 7 years if not paid. This is the American way for not having enough insurance coverage. Don't use this facilities go to you county hospital.
Converse Texas is out of business (05/2020), building is for sale. They charged me $5,000.00 for (1) pill for food poison and the visit to their facility with a night nurse, my insurance paid some of it and they try to billed me later, did not paid them and they got my credit down by 200 points. This is how they keep working Americans down with low credit scores.

I have received a bill for $452. for a medical surgery. I have contacted them to let them know that I have insurance and I should not have gotten a bill. It has hit my credit report, because I should not have received this bill and never paid it. I need this removed from my credit report, but now when I call no one is answering. I need this balance removed from my report as my insurance has already paid it.

AMCOL uses scare tactics and threats to obtain debts from people who are willing to work with them to pay their bills. They were beyond rude over the phone and out of line. So frustrating for someone who is legitimately trying to pay off a hospital bill!

CROOKS! They showed up on my Credit Report (without any contact to me) lowering my score considerably. The bill that they are supposedly collecting I have never heard of. As it's medical and I never have medical procedures and I have never heard of the provider, I know it's not mine. My corporate attorney is starting a investigation into this as we speak!

I didn't even know who this company was, until I r...

I didn't even know who this company was, until I received a update from my credit monitoring company, that I had an account go into collections. I have never used a doctor outside of my network, and I am a disabled vet, so all of my bills get routed to the same insurance company, into the same office, and I am called every time I go to my doctor, by the same office, to make sure that it was me who went to the doctor so that they could verify my information and make the payment on my behalf, so I know that everything has been paid for, which lets me know that this company uses fraud, on top of harassment, and fear. I get a notification that my credit has been negatively impacted, because a bill from this company went to collections!! I have never received a letter, email, or phone call from this company... They just sent it to collections. So I'm going to find my Bad Ass lawyer who works for the DAV, get my congressman AND senator involved, and we're going to dismantle this company brick by brick, because they messed with the wrong one this time. I hope your company has great separation benefits, you're going to need them.

Not sure why but Jay Rickman Jr. the owner decided to kill himself a couple months ago. Very sneaky company from within. They have no problem lying to you, question it and you may just be fired. Communication is very lacking. If you work for them get a definite answer before you make your own decisions. Something is not right about the company. I caution all who go there. Underpaid if your in IT and everything usually ends up being that dept fault. If you move departments you have to wait another whole year in order to get a yearly review/bonus, does not mean you will even get paid extra for move in departments. Have people who I cannot believe are qualified to be in the positions they are in, but are family to the business, this is a family owned business.

Hey can you guys for once help your customers? Like seriously. I ve been trying to get a hold of you guys for months LITERALLY. There s this $500 bill on my credit bill that I was never aware of. I know where it s from but here s the problem. When you added this debt, I was out of work healing from a surgery. The knee surgery I had took me out of work for 2 months. This is January 2017. I m 21 at this time. Keep in mind many of us this age don t just have $500 to give away. But what bugs me is that you guys never even sent me a letter warning or call. I can t even pay the debt because to this day I don t even have a proper account number that I need to actually pay the debt. From the dates when this debt was reported you so much didn t even give me a period to pay the debt before putting it on my credit. If I m correct aren t most of these collection agencies suppose to give you a 30 day period to pay before adding it to your credit? Like my credit could be higher. I m 22 and trying to get a great life but this stupid thing had dropped me from 704 to a 653. I went from good to fair credit. I mean fair is average but let s be honest, the good credit will get you better deals as fair gives you something acceptable . I ve called all day, no one will return my calls. Can you people please contact me, I mean you had the energy to damage my credit before consulting me at least talk to me on the phone...

My advice is not to work with these people. Go to the place where the bill originated and work with them. They are the ones that turned it over for collection and they will work with you. Collection Agencies are horrible. They're hired to collect debts for companies and could care less about anything on the other end of that and let me tell you that money doesn't satisfy these people. My second piece of advice? Block their calls. I'll have a bad credit report all day long rather than have these agencies ruin my day and my life with their relentless calling.

This company violated the Fair Credit Reporting Ac...

This company violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act over a $26 bill. LEGALLY, any collection agency is required BY LAW to contact you in writing so the consumer has the opportunity to verify the debt. The have to tell you who the original creditor is, the amount of the debt etc. The consumer has thirty days to respond to the collection agency's verification of debt letter. I never received a letter from them.
I did receive an alert on my credit report that a collection had been added. In that little stunt they violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. When companies do this consumers need to be aware of their rights. Consumers and sue the company for the legal violations AND defamation of character if the negative impact on your credit report prevents you from getting a job, or getting a mortgage.
Know your rights people! Do not let companies like AMCOL Systems Inc. ruin your credit report.
****Update**** June 18, 2018
Apparently somebody at AMCOL reads Google reviews! Within two weeks of my original post, this company was deleted from my credit reports. I never got around to sending them a letter directly (which saved me the fee to send it via certified mail). I guess they wisely decided, after review of their records and their failure to follow the law, it was in their best interest to remove the information from my credit reports.
Again, educate yourself about your consumer rights. Don't bury your head in the sand about debt. It opens the door to companies like this destroying your credit illegally.

This company will fail to validate alleged debts even when contacted during the initial 30 days of the dunning letter being sent to you. They will continuously report unverifiable negative information to the credit reporting agencies. Read your consumer rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act. Received a collection bill from AMCOL for a doctor...

Received a collection bill from AMCOL for a doctor bill I didn't even know about because I had moved. I only found out that I owed it because of a credit monitoring service I have. Once I knew about it I contacted AMCOL and paid the bill immediately. There is now a collection showing up on my credit report. I contacted AMCOL to see if they could get it removed. After being put on hold several times so that the person could speak with there manager, (who supposedly wasn't there), I was informed that there was nothing they could do. I argued the point that I had moved and didn't receive the notice. The person on the phone asked when I moved and I told her sometime in November of 2016. She said they mailed the notice in October and that I was past the 90 day window of receiving it and then paying it. So I asked " If I had said I moved in October could you fix the problem?" After stumbling with her words and basically saying yes, she then back tracked and said we have you recorded saying you said you moved in November. WOW!!!! This takes the cake of companies taking advantage of consumers, and not giving two cents how there actions effect everyday hard working people. So now because of a $100 doctors visit bill that I didn't even know about, I have a blemish on my credit report for 7 years. The credit system in this country is definitely in need of a major overhaul. Takes 2 minutes to make a mistake but 7 years to fix it..........not fair.

This company has called repeatedly saying I have a summons for court. However when asked if they can give me the county or information on said court they can t. After explaining the laws surrounding the Fair Credit Reporting Act and Fair Debt Collection Practices Act I was disrespected and hung up on. The company then proceeded to harass me by calling me numerous times back to back and hung up after I answered. These are all illegal practices which I am reporting to my local and state officials. To the company (if you read this) what you are doing is not only illegal, it is not the way to get someone to pay a bill.

I had a medical bill that slipped through the crack somehow. i pay my bills 100% on time as soon as I learned is was on my credit report i contacted them and offered to pay it. They told they we take it off my credit report. when I call back months later and talked with another representative they informed they do not do that and that's the reason the representative is no longer there is for giving bad information. Shouldn't the company stand behind what the clients are told. very bad customer service.

I received a collections letter for a bill I never received. I contacted the hospital myself and was told I had no accounts in collection and that they didn t do business with this company and gave me the name of the collection agency they actually use. I reported back to the collection agency and they told me they wouldn t do anything until they hear back from the hospital, which is impossible. They still tried to collect money from me. I informed them that I would be reporting them to the BBB and hung up. They have been reported.

I received a call and would not provide my personal information to the assclown in order to continue. If it's a medical bill, I know what I owe. It's a measly $20 that is on its way to the medical office it's owed. The rest of what I owed has been paid. If my medical insurance hasn't paid yet because of incompetent billing staff, oh well. I actually had an employee at a medical office tell me that they only bill the insurance as a courtesy and I should pay my "overdue" bill and get reimbursed after insurance pays. BWAHAHAHA That was for an appointment set up and paid for by the VA. I handed them the bill and never heard from that assclown again. Probably the same situation here. It's NOT the VA's fault. All of the billing info is provided. The civilian medical staff are failing to bill correctly!!!

BTW if this is for a VA ordered procedure and it ends up on my credit, AMCOL will be facing some serious repercussions.

They would much rather hit your credit with negative marks than collect money. Scum. Accused me of blocking their number and declining previous offers. All I wanted to do was pay them back. Small bill from an urgent care that went out of business turned into a headache by these clowns. They said they couldn't mail me anything for me to look at and would ask for payment in full 'right now'. I was in the car both times they got a hold of me and I said I would have to call back and I asked if they if they could send me something through the mail. They considered that declining payment and hit my credit. Real jerks. I asked them if they truly wanted to get their money or if they just enjoyed dinging peoples credit. It should be considered criminal. Both reps I spoke with had a combined IQ of 40.

Why is Amcol Systems, Inc no longer an Inc? Sec of State has them as Amcol Systems DBA Amcol Systems. A DBA is not a corporation. The $3.95 processing fee is a violation of federal law. Their failure to send an initial demand letter on small balance or attorney involved accounts is a violation of federal law. This is something everyone needs to report to the FTC. Their illegal tactics should be investigated by the feds.

Worse I have ever dealt with. I pay all of my bills. I received numerous calls, everyone ending in frustration, because they knowingly call me at work, ask for details about things that are irrelevant to the call and not providing enough details to substantiate the claim that I owed the amount. Out of frustration with their business practices I caved and paid them the 76 dollars and will take it up with the urgent care that couldn't get enough from my insurance company so they say. St. Vincents needs to find a better business partner. All of this could have been avoided if the people knew what to say to people and how to justify the claims. Horrible

This lady calls me and asks for my birthday, so in return, I ask the name of her company, b/c I had not been given that. So she tells me Amcol, and I ask what she is calling about, she then tells me I have to give her my b-day before she can give me any information. And so I then tell her I don't want any info on my account or anyone elses!!, But what I do want to know is what type of company they are, she then proceeded to tell me that was personal info and she could not give me that info until I verified my b-day!! I said I'm not asking about any personal information on any account, mine or otherwise, I just want to know what type of company you are. She gave me the same line about it being personal info that she could not give me. I told her it was unprofessional and unethical for her to not tell me the name of her company and what type of company it was. I have never in my life dealt with a company like this!! This absolutely ubsurd!! I'm not sure how I'm going to handle this but I'm sure I'm gonna have to involve an attorney!! And if someone posts an answer from this review, from this company, and it says here is our number and hours to contact us Im not gonna be happy!! Beyond Inept.

Beyond Inept.
If you receive a bill from them DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME THAT IT IS VALID. A long story below will explain.

I took my daughter to a doctor's office in June/July of 2017 when we went on vacation to Hilton Head. For the sake of round numbers, we will say the bill was $125.00. I forgot to pay the bill until December 2017.
The bill got reported to AMCOL for collections in January 2018 (after I'd paid). I never received any notice that the bill was sent to collections or that anything further had happened.
In May, 2018, AMCOL placed a derogatory mark on my credit for a "missed" payment/delinquent account.
In June 2018, we received our first call about the outstanding balance. When I called them back, they said I had a delinquent balance of $150 and proceeded to state that "they can accept payment over the phone." I think most people would have just paid then and there. Instead, I told them that I'd never received written notice as to the debt owed, which is required by the FDCPA, so I told them they needed to send me a written statement of the debt owed. I also advised them that it is a violation of Federal Law (FDCPA) to report against credit without such a written notice so they needed to remove the mark from my credit before I filed a claim against them (and the very contritely did so).
When I received the invoice in the mail (because apparently they don't realize that there are faster ways to send things in the 21st century), the invoice was two pages. The first was a cover letter stating the debt owed was $150 ($25 as a collection fee). Again, I think most people would have just paid the bill then and there. However, The second page was the actual invoice from the doctor's office showing where I'd made the payment of $125. I verified this against my bank statements. However, when I called AMCOL, they needed me to send them a copy of the invoice they sent me, because apparently they can't even access their own systems. For good measure, I sent them a copy of my bank statement (redacted) showing when the payment was made. They said they'd investigate. I asked them to call me back when the investigation was complete. This was all in about July 2018. They said "well, you'll only receive a call back if there is a problem."
Fast forward to months after July 2018, when I've not been contacted again. I assume it is all taken care of. Makes sense, right?
Wrong.
In February 2019, I receive another bill, stating there is an outstanding bill of $25.00. The $25.00 is attributable to the collections fee for the account... you know, the one that never should have been sent to collections. I then have to advise them that they have documentation in their system showing the amounts are not owed. Apparently they found the documents, because on the phone they finally state that they are making the adjustment to my account to zero it out.
I'm now praying that they did their job correctly (finally) so that I don't have to deal with this any more. It is asinine that I'm dealing with their ineptitude over a year after I paid a bill.

Again, DO NOT ASSUME THE INVOICE IS CORRECT. Check your records.

Absolute scam. This company is bringing my credit score down 100+ points over the difference of $10.00. I have disputed this negative mark on my credit report 3 times now with TransUnion. They still will not take it off. I called and they said "due to company policy we cannot take this off your report." I explained that this was reported incorrectly and asked for it to be taken off since the amount was so small. The lady on the phone said it was "my decision to take so long to pay" and that she could not help me.

It really stinks to know that there are places out there that make no effort to contact you about an outstanding debt of $25 after 5 years of never knowing about because the whole payment was not in full. I do hope they realize that things like this can really hurt a credit score and alter the lives of people in their 20s trying to purchase homes. It is pretty sad and I do hope people watch out for places like this.

Called today to set up a payment plan again because my wallet had been stolen. I had already paid them 1600 dollars on a 6000 medical bill. They immediately hit my credit report as a no pay. When I talked to them they wanted me to pay the full balance which I obviously couldn't. She then offered a lower balance of about 3800 dollars but again, couldn't pay that amount right now. She was really nice up to that point and then started getting a little aggrivated. I asked if they could take it off my credit if I resume the 210 dollar payment arrangement and she said only when it's paid in full. She informed me that it will be on my report for 7 years so I informed her that it will take me about that to pay it off. I asked if I could pay it online and I was told only if I made a 2000 dollar payment.... I asked her why they would refuse to accept payment over no payment at all? No reasonable explanation was given of course. I told her that I would just mail in payments and she said that was fine because they couldn't refuse payment..... That's odd, you just refused to allow me to pay online? I then asked how much was already paid on the bill and how much the original balance was, took her awhile to find that information out. I told her that I wanted a detailed report of the charges and a receipt of what was already paid. She refused to send me a copy of payments already made and said that since I'm not on a payment plan anymore, they don't have to do that. Remember, they never sent me a receipt for the 1600 that was already paid so why start now. It's illegal for them to do this and it's all because they are hoping records are not kept so they can charge you more. She said she would put me down as a REFUSAL TO PAY which is not the case, she's doing this so I they can keep reporting on my credit as no payment. The funny thing is that I will be sending detailed documentation to both the state and the credit reporting agencies about payments made. She even tired to shame me by saying " The hospital provided services in good faith that you would pay your part." haha, the hospital already got paid 60,000 dollars from insurance and how funny is it that they can offer a few thousand off your bill if you make a full payment today, get out of here with that trash. AMCOL is just another preditory debt collection agency.

I had no idea it even existed....And the urgent care/ER I went to was the only one open around me at the time and doesn't exist anymore...absolutely ridiculous......No warnings, nothing. As a single parent, my budget is already tight and barely hanging on, and instead of working with me the lowest they could do for $2000 bill was still more than I could afford monthly as i continued to tell them I had 10 dollars to my name...$10....but instead they wanted their money that I don't have...

I never received the bill they called about, I asked them to send me a original bill so I would understand what the bill was regarding. They indicated they would request the original bill. Over a year later, I never got the bill. Instead I got a "negative remark on my credit. Amcol would rather hit your credit with negative marks than collect money.

TRASH. They removed a medical bill account from my credit and placed it back on within a weeks time. I exploded on the representative who tried to play me like a chump. HORRIBLE customer service.

This company sent my bills/statements to the wrong address for 13 months. I had no idea I owed anything until I saw them on my credit. I can't be expected to pay a bill if I'm never told about it.

Horrible customer service skills over the phone, probably give them very low training before they are thrown to the shark's on the phone! Honestly I don't think I ever had a worse customer service experience over the phone with a company that is in the US. They have two stars i wonder why.

Terrible experience dealing with them. Just call your hospital directly (the account number AMCOL gave me wasn't even a real account number). I called my hospital and was offered reasonable payment plans, and they even helped me find what my real account number is.

The lady that answered was very rude and would not provide me any information about the company. She insisted on getting my personal information, which I would not provide without knowing what type of company they were. The lady kept stating that she could not give me any information without my personal info, all I wanted to know was what type of organization it was. She even hung up in my face.

Showing up on my credit report. My insurance paid the healthcare facility but they sent it to collections already. So now I have to dispute it with this company and all the reviews say that contacting them is a horrible experience. Wonderful /s.

I have a collection for $235 from two years ago which I paid in full and they reported it again on my credit in March so that it didn t fall off of my credit report. Don t pay them because they will make sure it stays on your credit either way.

I got a call saying I owed a debt of $300 to a doctors office and the woman on the phone demanded I pay her immediately or she would keep calling me. Called the doctor after I hung up and they got 1 number wrong in my insurance card, I owed $8. Paid the $8 and the woman called me again, I made her aware I paid what I owed and she said I didn't and demanded once again I give her my card number.

Two days later the account "in collection" went from $300 on my credit report to $0. That doesn't really help me because the damage is done and it's still on my credit, it's just on my credit as paid. Not blaming this entire situation on them, it's a mixture of both parties. The woman that called me multiple times just happened to be extremely rude and demanding.

Not sure as to why this place would place an amount owed as a chargeoff. This is a collection for heavens sake from a medical bill, it should not be hitting my credit as hard as it is for no reason. I will make sure I getting this taken care of one way or another. My accounts with St. V are all up to date.

UPDATE: So today I called and spoke to "TATUM" to find out why it the invalid debt was still showing on my credit report, when my original call months ago I confirmed that once the debt was satisfied that it would be REMOVED from my credit report. She explained that the debt was just paid on the 24 of May 2019, not knowing that I sent in the explanation of benefits showing that it was paid back in Oct 2016. Why lie????? and I then requested a letter stating that the debt was satisfied . Overall this was the worst experience I've ever had dealing with a company who screwed from the beginning! I hope you all get investigated and put out of business!

Working with them has been an absolute nightmare. Besides the laborious mumbo jumbo collector script about an attempt to collect the debt, they ask for more information about me every freakin time I call, but never seem to have an update on my case. This erroneous record has negatively impacted my life and caused me to overpay for insurance, auto loans since it was been on my credit report. My biggest issue is their process to review my explanation of benefits directly from insurance company indicating I did in fact owe them NOTHING!

Ive been calling the past week to make a payment on my bill that was due TODAY and now im late on a payment because they arent calling me back or answering. Before i would be able to call them and get an immediate response. I was happy they were able to work with me making small payments for a 7000 medical bill and but if i cant get through to make a payment then why should i bother calling them if there's nobody going to answer my calls or even call me back after leave multiple messages.

Edit. They stopped taking payments from me the last 3 months and i cant get through to their answering service or anything. I'll be trying to contact them again this week and hopefully i can get that back on track.

What I don't like most is that you can't seem to make a payment on-line, which would be faster you would think.Making a payment over the phone cost me a extra 10.00, mailing a check like I did last time, you don"t know when the check has been cashed until you look at your bank statement. I want to see my balance and my payments, in which I have not recieved anything in the mail lately for what
I've paid and what my balance would be after. I'll just be happy when I'm done!!!
