Josh Cole Review of AMCOL Systems

This company violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act over a $700 bill. LEGALLY, any collection agency is required BY LAW to contact you in writing so the consumer has the opportunity to verify the debt. They have to tell you who the original creditor is, the amount of the debt etc. The consumer has thirty days to respond to the collection agency's verification of debt letter. I never received a letter from them.
They violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act and the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. When companies do this consumers need to be aware of their rights. Consumers and sue the company for the legal violations AND defamation of character if the negative impact on your credit report prevents you from getting a job, or getting a mortgage.
Know your rights people! Do not let companies like AMCOL Systems Inc. ruin your credit report.
