Aloft Downtown Milwaukee Reviews

Stayed here for the weekend and wasn't disappointed. Valet was quick and easy as was check in - our room was clean and comfortable, we were facing the river and there is a bridge with a metal grate that you can hear as cars drive over it - it seemed loud at first but we got used to it. The room next to us had an issue with a sink valve that was causing it to whistle at a high pitch, we called the front desk and Joe from maintenance came right up, diagnosed the issue and put in a fix. The next day we noticed the whistle had returned so Joe ended up replacing the part that was causing the problem and the whistling stopped completely for the remainder of our trip. The front desk staff were awesome, they worked together fluidly so even when there was a line of people they helped us quickly. They held our bags after we checked out so we could finish our tour of the city. The location is great, it's directly on the River Walk and is a short walk to all the neighborhoods and sites.

Wasn't very clean, did not like how the shower head was so low, not sure if it was just my room or common.

We've stayed there twice now. Great view of the river if you're lucky enough to get a room on that side. Rooms are adequate.

I went therw for the valet service before a bucks game. Wonderful service got me out fast after the game.

A very nice hotel in the downtown area,pet friendly,has a pool,event rooms that are rentable,enjoy the xyz bar & also has great staff !!!

Great hotel, friendly staff, upscale and modern environment. Mattresses aren't the most comfortable to sleep on, however.

Dog friendly, 2 sided fireplace on patio, great bar, nice black out roller shades for sleeping, and they have Bliss amenities!

It is a horrible place during the stay there my belongings were lost from the room, until today they have not been recovered, the treatment is the worst with the client, I do not advise anyone to stay in that hotel.

Great service, decent on most levels, but the layout of this hotel chain is so idiotic I can't help but give 3 stars. Who needs a damn window between the beds and the shower? Why have a bathroom with no lock? No drawers. ... well at least that means there's no bibles, but STILL, this is nuts. I blame myself for not looking up floor plans.

The hotel is clean and nice. We were at the end of a hallway and could not hear any of our neighbors at night. Our room had a nice view of the river. The staff are extremely friendly.

However, our AC unit had an issue where it'd loudly grind to a halt which kept us up at night. It was either be very hot or periodically get woken up by the AC. The staff was able to fix the issue after we checked out.

This was my first stay at this Aloft and second overall. The property carries that 'youthful vibe' and everyone is very pleasant and accommodating. I didn't love some of the very dark paint and decor, but I get it's part of the schtick. The bartender was very friendly and helpful. Rooms are comfortable, simple and effective.

Didn't actually go there just stood by it waiting for aj bombers.

Unusually friendly staff..they are all great..the rooms are usually nice and it's all on the river...it's a 5 star for sure...

I have read the reviews and I swear everyone who complains about the noise must be on crack! (you know what I mean) We took our grandson with us since they had a seriously low price for this SPG hotel we decided to give it a try. So many More

Excellent hotel, well located. For Brazilian breakfast the breakfast is not to be desired, they use a system of tickets that you use in the convenience store of the hotel. Parking only "valet parking" at $ 30 per day. Cross the bridge and stop in the parking lot for $ 12 two days but only accept credit card.

Everything is so nice, clean,and helpful staff. But they need quieter air system..very noisy all night

Really nice clean room. Close to downtown and Milwaukee school of engineering. Lobby is really nive with a bar and pool table and really nice seating areas. Receptionists were friendly.

Staff were a bit disorganized. Room supposed to be hip but really just cheap.

I stayed at the Aloft over the 4th of July weekend for three nights. A few hours after I left I realized that i had left an article of clothing at the hotel. I called immediately, shared my room number and a description of the item. Ultimately, I share blame for leaving the item behind. However, I am assigning a one star review to this hotel because they are a national chain that deals with this use case likley on a daily basis and the inability to within hours of a guest leaving successfully retrieve that guest's lost items from an established process/chain of custody is simply unacceptable in this day and age.

Great stay that just misses the mark. While Aloft provides a great atmosphere that aligns with comfortability and style, the dark theme for the hotel is somewhat off putting. The darker features of the drapes, carpet and hallways suggest a feel different than a hotel. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay at Aloft.

I ran into Aloft the other night to take a peek at the school prom my school threw. I wasn't there long, but the place was packed! From room to room, there were people everywhere and it seemed like everyone was having a pleasant evening. The space seemed a bit cramped, but that is to be expected in a downtown city hotel. It was very hard to find a parking spot to run in. I didn't want to valet park!

Aloft was phenomenal. The atmosphere was great the staff was super friendly and helpful. Its right downtown and right next to just about everything!

Everything about this hotel seems cheap, except for the price.

Upon arrival, you pull into a circle drive that has about one car s clearance to drive through. Your car HAS to be valet parked ($30). I guess you can go find parking elsewhere but I expect to be able to park AT the hotel.

Once you get in, welcome to concrete floors and ikea furniture. There are trendy dog bowls full of water everywhere as well.

A gentleman in line with me (who I didn t know) asked is this a youth hostile? .

Once in the room, you have module construction at its finest. IKEA shelves, bed, everything. The door to your bathroom is a sliding closet door. The closet where you hang clothes has a curtain.

Im a fan of SPG, and use it as often as possible, but I ll steer clear of all aLoft spots in the future, just in case they are like this. (And yes, I ve stayed at much nicer ones before.)

My husband and I had date night and exploring our own city good time

Only used Aloft for the valet parking for a Bucks game. Lobby was very nice. Cool bar area and welcoming employees. Would like to try to stay at the hotel some time.

Great place with excellent customer service and contemporary atmosphere

One of my very favorite hotels to visit. Clean, contemporary design, friendly staff, fun events, delicious food and drinks. Whats not to love?

Great location. Heavy doors that were hard to keep from slamming. No separate bathroom light. Comfortable bed. Great view.

Stayed one night, room was good, seevice was excellent. Only real knock is the beds were too firm for my taste

Really enjoyed this hotel. Small room but we'll appointed. Staff was very friendly. Great location as well. Only downside is lack of parking and street noise on lower floors.

I have stayed here 3 times on business and it was great. The location is convenient and the rooms are very modern and well done. Parking is the only issue as it's valet or street but the valet team is very good so don't worry about it.

I enjoyed Aloft Milwaukee. I wasn't too excited about listening to the Packer game in the lobby. I wanted peace and quiet. I like the toiletries the bed was nice and the decor was acceptable. Thank you

Friendly staff, clean and well maintained space. We were hoping for a city view, but checked in late and understand it wasn't guaranteed.

Very nice hotel. Had a problem with the electronic lock, staff did all they could to remedy the problem. My only issue, our room was on the second floor and traffic noise was easily heard.

Staff is very friendly. Had enjoyable experience. Valet was extremely busy but there was a game at the time. Was not charged for valet cause of wait. Our bartender was very friendly and great. Overall we enjoyed it and will stay again.

They are nothing but professional and accommodating. Best customer service and relations. We requested an early check in and arrived super early. No rooms were ready however they went out of their way to ensure our room (that had to be pet friendly as well) was first priority so that we could safely house our dog while we were at the celtics game. Job well done Aloft.

First good things the lobby is nicely decorated ultramodern the rooms are decorated modern is well. The staff was very helpful and friendly when we checked in now for the bad part parking is $25 there is no on-site parking valet only.there is no door to the bathroom it just slides and it does not close fully there are no hooks for towels to hang on. No complementary coffee no microwave in the room walls are very thin noise is heard from the hallway as well as the street.

If I could give it zero starts, I absolutely would. First, I booked my room for 2 nights online, in advance. I show up to check in and their systems are down . My reservations aren t showing up in the system at all, had to wait 20 minutes, and when it did show up, the booking was wrong. Instead of changing it to suit the 2 nights I needed, they suggested I just add another night. Stating they re unable to change an already booked room. So I was like whatever, I ll book the room an extra night. So I had a room booked for a total of THREE nights. The first night was fine, and I called the following morning to make sure the online booking was still in place, and I still had the room for the following three nights. I was told everything was fine, and I was able to stay. Fast forward 6 hours, they call me and tell me I need to check out, stating, you were supposed to checkout at noon and that room is no longer available. The hotel is fully booked and we cannot extend your stay. We need you to checkout. After one night, they forced me to checkout. ONE NIGHT. It s a god awful establishment and I would not ever recommend staying there. Plenty of other hotels that are MUCH nicer.

The hotel amenities seem nice enough. Knocked a star off because parts of the hotel are being remodeled and planning of construction seemed weak.

Absolutely loved this place until my last visit. Need some better night time security. I'll definitely try them again though.

Nice, comfortable hotel in a great location. No frills but it doesn't feel cheap. You can tell whoever designed it was trying so, so hard to appeal to Millennials, but I did like it, so mission accomplished? Liked the pet friendly policies and easy going vibe.

It was great! They went out of their way to make sure that our Bike's were taken care of and kept them safe! Very biker friendly, the staff was amazing!

Location is very close to the fiserv forum, the bar at 9:00 p.m. was busy and a few dogs walked by since they're pet friendly. Room was clean, urban feel.

Nice atmosphere with euro feel. Many pay-as-you-go food options, some hot off the grill for breakfast and some in the cooler all day. Great complementary coffee in the morning. Fun contemporary room.

Beautiful hotel with beautiful architecture and structure totally awesome

Everything was clean and very modern. I think maybe a bit too modern for my taste. Glass shower door is opaque but attached to the main room. Room was a square as opposed to the traditional rectangular hotel room. Just kind of threw me for a loop. Also would have preferred underground parking or a structure.

For the price and location this hotel can't be beat!! Staff is friendly amd helpful, and really works hard to esure your stay is welcoming. It's located right next to all the hot areas of downtown Milwaukee too. Full service cocktail lounge and 24 hour pool area. They also have a billards table that's free! Valet parking, grab-n-go snacks, as well as hot appetizers, and a hot breakfast served in the morning. Very easy to rack up points for any SPG member as well.
