Stayed here as a convenient location for shuttle service to Great Lakes Brew Fest. Only a few minutes away from the pickup location. Staff is friendly and the rooms were clean. This was the second year in a row staying here and plan on doing the same next year as well.

Our Go-to hotel in downtown MKE. Front desk check in was super friendly and personable. Our room is great. Beds are super comfortable! I love how close it is to everything downtown and how cozy the stay is. We will continue to stay here!!

Hotel is modern and rooms are nice most especially the suite, if available. The keyless entry system from cell phone only worked the first time and additional keys made didn't end up working so had to go back to front desk from room several times. Margarita in Valet is very professional and super helpful. The valance at top of curtains should be longer to block sun and light coming in from the top corners.

Great location, fancy atmosphere, spacious rooms but no privacy in these rooms. The sliding door to the bathroom leaves plenty open space. The parking here is a terrible. Before you book it know that they'll charge you 27 dollars to vallet park your car in a parking lot where it is very possible to for you to get dive bombed by birds. Still a good experience and a good place.

Everyone likes a weekend getaway even our dog. Room was big and a nice view of the river. We were upgraded due to a delay in getting our room ready. (There was a big wedding party checking in at the same time.) Location is great.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It's a quirky modern clean hotel very conveniently located to the water street night life area. The hotel bar is open quite late and the pool is 24hr. We didn't have much to do with the staff, but all interactions were pleasant and courteous.

it wasn't what I expected I did not stay myself, my parents stayed I took a look at their room which did look somewhat basic for all of the hoopla I had heard about aloft. their shower was leaking and they had to switch rooms but when they switched they gave them a smaller room. I didn't stay here myself so I can't say much else.

Friendly staff, great location. Across the street from the Bucks arena. Plenty of good restaurants and bars within walking distance. Rooms are modern and well lit with big windows. Can't go wrong staying here.

Overall my favorite place about this hotel was the w xyz bar. The bartender was very nice! We didn't know that you had to pay to park there. It was either on the street you could park, if you can find a spot, which wasn't super close. Or pay 27 overnight per night for vallet parking. Some vallet were nice and friendly, but there were some who were jerks. The pool was pretty cold sadly no hot tub! Make sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The sampoo and conditioner is mixed and its horrible! As well as the body wash. If you want pizza close by get Pizza Shuttle!

My review from 4 years ago was apparently removed by the wanks at Google who apparently listen to the crybaby liberals who run this terrible hotel. Here is my review again, and I will CONTINUE to re-post this every time you liberals DARE to remove it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: This place does NOT know how to properly host a corporate holiday party.... at all. The employees were completely clueless and actually SERVED SALADS TO EMPTY SEATS at our table *BEFORE* they served us! Are they mental? The food was sub-par and I would compare it to cafeteria food. And what is up with the terrible parking? If you want to get anywhere close to the place you have to spring for their valet services! There IS NO PARKING GARAGE NEARBY. What a joke.

They charged me a $50 Hold on my card then it took 3 days to be giving back to me which they did not tell me when I checked in. My 4 year old had a sleep over at the hotel for her birthday with 3 other small children so there was trash that I organized like (3Pizza boxes & empty cupcake rappers etc) & I cleaned all that up and put it in trash bags myself & set the bag which was 1 trash bag to the side for the cleaning service to get when they cleaned the room. No damages nor anything misplaced when we checked out but When they released my $50 I only received $19 and some change which means the rest was charged for the bag of trash I left and If I had known that they would charge me for taking out trash I could have cleaned the entire room & changed the sheets too even fixed the broken fridge they had that couldn t keep anything cold........ They only have a small in door pool NOT A SPA NOR JACUZZI & No parking due to it being down town I. The same area as the NEW BUCKS ARENA but They do offer $30 valet so yeah...... The Front desk staff were nice though so that s the only good thing....

The hotel was very hip and trendy. Lots of great activities in the lounge including a bar. Room was well appointed. My biggest complaint about the room was that the bathroom was on a sliding door that didn't use completely. Can be a privacy thing if you are sharing with a group of friends. The biggest complaint was the parking situation. It is valet only and they could not keep up. Could have been attributed to the concerts going on, but needs some help. My car never left the tiny lot and they were nice enough to take the $30 mandatory valet price off my bill. I would stay again if something could be done about parking.

Great location, plenty of self parking around so you don't have to spend $23 for valet. Rooms are big and clean. Sliding door to the toilet and shower would come off the tracks every time you used it. The light switches for the bathroom were at the entrance to the room and not in the bathroom, which is a ten foot walk, annoying.

Besides the room, everything else was horrible. I WILL NEVER COME BACK NOR RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TOO ANYONE ELSE!!!! For one I booked a room 2 weeks ago for last Sunday (as a gift). So my parents get there and the check in is fine and the room is fine. Meanwhile, the next morning at 7:25 am they are waken up to the desk clerk saying that the room isn't paid for and tried too charge them double. Need I tell you that it was booked weeks in advance and I have emails and a confirmation number proving that everything is paid for. (Disturbing the peace) Let's make since here....How would anybody get checked in and given keys too a room that's NOT paid for!? But then wait until 7:25 am to wake someone up out their sleep and say there's an issue? DOESN'T MAKE SINCE!
Last but not least, PARKING!!!!
THE CAR WAS BEING PARKED AND WHEN MY DAD COMES OUT TO RETRIEVE THE CAR...$30 WAS STOLEN OUT OF IT!!!!!!! The guy that parked the car was VERY careless of what happened. And when we took it too the staffing's attention, all we got in response was, "Oh we were iffy about this guy for a while"
My question is, "THEN WHY IS HE STILL WORKING HERERRRRRRRR!!!!?
At then end, the manager stated that the next time we come back, parking will be free with half off on the room. Need I tell you, " WE WILL NEVER COME BACK!" So then the next time we come back we would have to be on 10 toes and be over protective of our things when they are supposed too be safely taken care of? Smh!
Epic Fail!
By far worse customer service I've even had!!!

This hotel is next to the Milwaukee River and sits next to a bridge that makes an insane amount of noise every time a car drives over. You can hear everything in this hotel. Do not recommend!

Excellent stay at Aloft. My room was large and had great views. Love the large bathroom area. The best part is that it's on the river walk and an easy walk to downtown or just enjoying the river area

We had a great stay over the 4th of July weekend. Liked the funky style of the rooms and the location was perfect, just over the bridge from Water Street. The only hiccup really was the oarking/reception area out front. It's just too small and gets overcrowded very quickly. It is tough for the valets to manage. Otherwise, our stay was just about perfect.

First of all... we reserved and paid for a king suite, river view. 2 nights. The room we have is a regular room facing the street.
Pros and cons.

PROS
Great location, right on riverwalk
Friendly, knowledgeable staff
Pool open 24 hours
Nice exercise room
Very comfortable bed and pillows
Outdoor area with fireplace is the best feature
Dogs allowed with no fee

CONS
No parking area. Valet at $30.00 a day
No hot tub
No ice machines. Must go to lobby and ask for ice
No microwave in room. Was told you can ask for one
Mattress moves around on "bed" just sits on a slab
One hard back chair to sit on, otherwise have to sit on bed to watch smaller t.v.
Shower head is non removable and like a rain shower. Have fun getting soap/shampoo off of you
One small lamp in room and two lights above your bed which do not light up room. You have to go into bathroom area to turn on the other lights to see.
Prices are from $150.00 to $250.00. All depends what is going on in the area.
Valet personal is very limited. The poor guy was backed up 16 cars. Yes I counted. They need more valets during the weekend and check in/check out hours.

I spent most of my time in the outside area, just loved it. I see no reason to book there again though

Nice location on the river near the heart of down town. The room and staff were nice enough. Some of their pricing packages seemed a little misleading. Breakfast and bar were disappointing.

If you have like millions and you don't know where to spend than go to aloft otherwise don't make this mistake they are scams whatever you see online is totally different in person, they charge you double for every thing small bathroom no bathtubs small room ,here you go if you can get the same kinda room for 38$ than why would you pay 200$ a night? ???????hope you guys understanding now ,thank you

The problem is that my experience was on total opp...

The problem is that my experience was on total opposites of the spectrum: awful and amazing. I had my wedding block (a handful of single king rooms and double queen rooms) and the people I spoke with at setting up the block were amazing. However, on multiple occasions (and I mean 6 or 7 times) when I had guests called to reserve a room in the block, the reservationist on the phone said that whatever they chose (lets say single king) they would say all that was available was the opposite (lets say two queens). But when I would call the block people they would say I had plenty of each left. This happened over and over, with whatever my guest was requesting. I understand that's a computer system problem but this problem persisted for a month or longer and really frustrated my guests. When the wedding weekend came I stopped in my dad's room and there were 3 slice marks on his comforter duvet cover (which by the way wasn't actually a duvet cover but just two sheets surrounding an exposed flattened feather comforter, come one its a swanky hotel get better linens). He's not the type to complain but this is a high end hotel people, not a pay-by-the-hour hotel where you expect to see stab marks on your sheets. Then when I went to my hotel room that I stayed in with my bridesmaids my pillow case was stained in some large black smudge, but the pillow had been turned over so it wasn't showing until I was about to go to sleep. Come one. The WORST part was throughout the year as I was planning my wedding I had mentioned as often as I could without being obnoxious that we were having our "after party" at the hotel bar (the "XYandZ bar, very cool by the way). I gave them a time we would be there (11pm on that Sunday night) and even asked for them to make sure there were enough bartenders available that night since it was a guaranteed 40-50 people. Even the week of the wedding I called to remind them we were coming and asked them to clean up the patio area before we came because the weekend before my fiance and I had come to check the place out and the patio area was trashed from a few bachelorette parties and I was assured yes, yes it would be ready for us. Fast forward to my wedding night, 11:30 pm my guests and I show up and the bartender, Elle, is cleaning up for the night. she's already informed my guests that she's closing for the night and that she had not been told of ANY of this after party stuff, and was off the clock. I asked to talk to a manager, she said there were none available. I begged her, my husband and I were freaking out thinking about taking our guests to freaking BUCKHEADS (remember I'm in a huge wedding gown) and out of the kindness of her heart she said she'd stay open for a while longer. SHE IS AWESOME. It was a rowdy crowd and she was such a trooper. She offered to stay until 2am and I told everyone last call was at 1pm and to tip her well. My overall review is this: all the crappy things I encountered were caused from people I couldn't see. But the people that were there that weekend, from the valet, to the front desk, to house keeping, to Elle the bartender, were amazing. It made it hard to write this review because I really do appreciate the people I encountered when I was there. They were all so amazing and honestly are the only reason why I would come back because I know even if the experience is not worth the price, the in-person customer service was excellent. I hope this review fixes the problems (they really all are easy fixes: better internal communication and more attention to bed linens) and makes this hotel better because it has the opportunity to be the best in the city.

The hotel is great unfortunately the second time I went wasn't a great experience. I got double charged on purpose by a lady name Stephanie. The customer service wasnt good as it was the first time.Where is Ray? He was very professional and his customer service skills were on point. Pool is a bit dirty and gym needs more hand sanitizer wipes.

Great location. Close to lots of excellent nightlife. The rooms aren't very sound proof so you can hear doors slamming all night. Parking is hard here, but they have unlimited in and out valet for $28 for a 24 hour period. Say hi to Sam, he's a good guy.

When we got to the hotel it seemed fine but as we entered the room we noticed it was cold. I tried BOTH heating systems none worked the unit blew cold air. We asked for an extra comforter at the front desk at check in as well (knowing most hotels don t change that only if is stained). We called and asked if we could move rooms due to no heat they said maintenance would come up in 10 minutes. (Is 11pm) we said ok. 20 min later no comforter no maintenance. On our way out to eat we reminded them again to two different staff members and said if the heat isn t fixed when we come back can we move rooms they said yes. Came back around 12:30 and it was still cold and we asked for the comforter again... nobody followed up about the heat or room move I know some staff may look at this review and roll their eyes but this is serious. People are tired at this time and if an issue is brought up it should be resolved. I m a manager at a different hotel in a different city in Wisconsin but wanted to try this one because the pictures looked decent. Stain on the mattress. Dirt and soap scum in the shower and bathroom floor. Mold inside sink there s a hole by faucet you can see it. The coffee machine in the room was dirty looked like it had coffee splash drops. The housekeepers do the minimum for what they get payed. No trash liner in any garbage so if I had a wet towel or on my period I would hate to throw it in a trash can for housekeeping to clean. Just the bare minimum. At checkout we just got the oh ok this is my maintenance guy here he ll fix it maintenance guy looked unprofessional wearing a hoodie as an uniform. All they could ve did was move us rooms when they saw us come back hey sorry we couldn t fix the heat we can help you guys move into a better room since Is freezing guy working at night had curly hair medium built. Maintenance was a guy with dreads and black hoodie with hair on it. And girl was nice but not very helpful

I was told there would be an incidental charge of 50 dollars placed on my debit card. The day of checkout, a 292.00 charge /hold was placed. The room was already paid for by my company. The hotel could not explain why the charge was so high and stated it usually comes off within 7-10 business days. So now I wait as the money is unavailable to me until then. Completely frustrating.

Asked for early check in, room was not available early which is fine they held our bags and we came back at 3 check in time. Our room still wasn't ready. We checked a few hours later still. That was a little frustrating. But the facility and the staff were great.

It feels artsy and modern, and the service was really nice. We had an issue with our TV remote, but it got fixed immediately. The pillows are weird, though, because they're really dense, but they unpuff a bit after you lie your head on them. Overall I really enjoyed my stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much. We came out to the Aloft for our 3yr wedding anniversary and we're instantly greeted by the staff. They offered vallet parking and when we checked in gave us free drink coupons! The main area is very nice, we even played Jenga and relaxed on the couches enjoying our free drink the rooms were very nice and the bed was comfy :) we even enjoyed the Riverview. Thank you!! We've built more memories!
