We had my parents 50th anniversary party there this weekend and everything was perfect from the amazing food to the exceptional service!! Thank you Lori!! You were the best!!!

Nice atmosphere! Picky requests were handled without incident.

The Server was very courteous and professional..it was not his fault that the coffee was lukewarm and tasted like a paper coffee filter...the food was cold, tasteless and overpriced for the quality. Maybe it was just a bad evening, but, we won't go back...very dissapointed.

Rates are kind of expensive but over all not a bad course

Always a great time at every function I have attended there. A top notch staff and beautiful surroundings. Thanksgiving dinner threr was wonderful and delicious. As the only non-golfer in the family, the serene river views and impeccable grounds are tempting me to take up the sport of kings.

Just played on Friday, after playing Birdsfoot earlier. Very nice golf course and club. Tough enough with all the trees so pick the right tee box. Greens were great. Service was very good, will be back! Buffalo, NY

I love it here! The view, the grass, the river, EVERYTHING is beautiful here! When I come here it gives me the most peaceful yet rejuvenating feelings I could ever imagine.

Such a gorgeous course at a fair rate! Front 9 can be tricky.. Back 9 is a little more forgiving! Enjoy!

Nice golf course, difficult front 9 for amateurs. Good 19th hole (bar) with a friendly staff. Wider beer selection would do great.

Great Course, tight fairways. Makes you play smart golf. Every hole has a challenge with trees lining most fairways.

Went there for fund raiser. Great food good service. Nice atmosphere, I had a steak it was cooked to perfection. The vegetables where great. There was a large crowd and the staff was serving the tables with great accuracy. The country club is extremely nice looking. I would recommend it for any event someone was planning. It would be especially nice atmosphere for a wedding or reception.

The seafood salad is the best I have ever had, loaded with crab meat and large grilled shrimp

We had our 20th class reunion there and we had a fantastic time!

Way over priced for the very ordinary course. I would pay at most $20. The staff was very rude while checking in no personal customer service skills. The pace of play is like watching paint dry.

With respect to the restaurant, Lily's: My handful of lunch visits (all post-golf on a Saturday/Sunday) have been nothing but positive.

My recommendation: Try the chicken salad wrap!

I just ate here with my family for Easter lunch. The food was lukewarm and was not even as good as what they serve at my college dinning hall. The food was bland nothing special at all. I paid $32 for the buffet and it tasted like it was worth $5. I do not recommend their buffet. I cannot tell you what their individual meals would taste like during the normal week and I'd hope it would taste better. I recommend the Hill Crest Country Club in Lower Burrell for a holiday buffet. I ate their for Mother's Day and they had a much larger variety of food, It was hot, tasted good, and the servers were on top of their game.

Had my grandparent's 50th wedding anniversary celebration there with a large percentage of my family. Staff was great and let us come early to decorate and bring our own cake ans the food was so yummy!

The food is superb and the new owners are extra ordinary people. kind, warm and overall great hostess. The golf club is in Supreme Shape and the Greens are Magnificent

Don't waste your time. New owner is a tyrant and a bully to the staff. If you disagree with her she makes your life a living hell. Place could be great if she would let those she hires do their job

Have been there several times. Service was excellent, food was very good and the entertainment was lit. If you don't know, now you know. Make a trip to River Forest Golf Club in Freeport, and for those who don't know where it is, or say that's to far, google it and see it's just about a 20 minute drive after you get off the Highland Park bridge headed north on 28. Food was good, a little pricey, service was outstanding

Semiprivate club. Tight course. Only one water hole. Bunkers. Rolling terrain. Very fast greens. Nice clubhouse. Lots of trees. Good test of your game. UPDATE Under new ownership. Upgraded bar and dining. Course is in good shape. The greens are as fast as ever and a few are very challenging. Becoming more of a place for outings and dining. Met the new owner, very impressed. Committed to maintaining and upgrading.

I gave it four stars mainly because of the nice layout, other than hole number nine.
The condition of the course was a little better than fair, however did play with a local which said that there are new owners and he believes they are dedicated to making this the course that it once was 15 years ago.
Affordable round of golf $51 on a Saturday morning, everyone that worked there was very nice.

River Forest is a first class course to play. In addition, Tim Conroy and the guys in the pro shop, (Joe, Larry, Bill, et al) go out of their way to make sure you have wonderful golf experience. Then after the round the grill room has a tasty variety of food to tickle the taste buds.

We had a funeral luncheon here and Lori was absolutely on point from start to finish. She was very responsive to all emails and communication with our family. With very short notice, Lori offered menu options and room layout that perfectly fit our needs. She and her staff prepared a wonderful buffet and first rate customer service. I highly recommend RFCC for your next event!!!

Best public golf course that I have ever seen! The Landscape is breathtaking and the service was top notch! Also glad to hear of upcoming millennial events to attract younger crowds...Drone racing will definatly cater to that!

Beautiful course, very well kept. The greens where very challenging! Which is something that is hard to find on a public course. Definitely going to play here again.

Had a wonderful time love the golf course and the owners Andy and Jamie go above and beyond for the golfers look forward there will be big things happening here
