Great staff, Wonderful lobby, the parking and arrival situation seemed a little chaotic just as an obstacle. Was happy to not have a car. Room was clean but looked a little worn around the edges. Would stay here again though!

I personally would never recommend this hotel to anybody, and I personally will never stay here again or any aloft in the future. So many things went wrong- I'll break them down.

Booking:
I had my wedding block held at this hotel. After several emails back and forth and securing my block we opened it up to my guests. Who then were told there was no block under my name to book a room. So my guests starting booking rooms at other hotels. Finally got that figured out and then I sent out an email asking about hosting a post wedding event at the hotel. My email got bounced back to me. I had to call several times to figure out what was going on and apparently the Sales Coordinator I was working with no longer worked there and nobody thought it was important to pass that information along to their current customers. And then this happened again....three more times. They went through three different Sales Coordinators without telling anybody in a period of six months. It was incredibly frustrating to get anything done when my emails were constantly getting bounced back and I would have to hunt down someone on the phone who didn't have answers for me.

I also tried to upgrade my own personal room to a bigger room to get ready in. When booking you aren't told there are different levels of room and on the website it doesn't even look like there are however a friend told me they had a room with an attached lounge type area. When trying to upgrade my room (as the Bride for my wedding night) they told me the room was available but I could not upgrade. What they wanted me to do was cancel my current room (which would have cost the same amount as it did to book it) and then book the bigger room. So essentially pay for two rooms and only have one. I had to speak to three different people and FINALLY someone called me back with massive attitude telling me I can upgrade and pay the difference. Thanks. Not to mention I am a SPG member.

The Stay:
Valet Parking. At this hotel you have to and it was $20+ a day. When we came back from our rehearsal dinner there was no valet to be found anywhere. We waited for 5 mins and then my husband locked our car and gave our keys to the front desk. Half an hour later I needed to get something from the car so I went down to valet and again...nobody was around. I asked the front desk for my keys and they had to hunt them down.. I went outside and saw my car was moved to halfway onto the sidewalk not in the valet parking lot. I checked to see if the car was locked and it wasn't. So I opened the door and started grabbing the things I needed. At this point the valet woman came over and asked me what I was doing. I asked why my car has been sitting in front of the hotel on the sidewalk unlocked for the last half hour. The woman snapped back at me that there was no way it was for half an hour to which I replied actually it was. Then she said "If you don't like it you can park your car yourself" She was incredibly inappropriate.

After the rehearsal dinner we all met back down in the lounge to have a drink at the bar. The bartender served everyone but me. One of my bridesmaids even made a comment to her that I was the Bride and tried to order me a drink..which was ignored. We were covering the entire parties bar bill that night which wasn't small by any means...you'd think I'd be able to get a drink myself. We left the bar.

My brother who wasn't able to book under the block (because they told him there wasn't one) parked his car in one of the two spots on the property. We checked countless times to make sure it was okay as he wasn't a guest at the hotel. They okayed it every time we check. Except he got literally yelled at the next day when he went to go get his car and they tried to stop him from leaving.

When you are getting married, or staying at a hotel for any reason...its just incredibly frustrating to have to deal with any of these things. And I didn't even have room to type up all of my frustrations. We stayed over the 10/01 weekend.

The staff was pleasant, and non intrusive. The valet guys were really exceptional and hard working!
If I did not read the reviews to find out that their was a parking fee of $25 I would have been disappointed. However, it is valet only. $25/night! (which in my opinion is way too expensive, but I guess it's why the room prices are so low.) I only stayed one night so I was okay with that. Don't leave valuables in the car because it will be parked outside in a lot across the street.
The rooms were beautiful! Hip, modern colors and decor, they made excellent use of space. The beds were VERY firm, so if you have back problems don't stay here! Pack a extra blanket and a pillow if you are a picky sleeper. (although their pillows were fluffy and extra soft) I was located at the end of the hall way so we did not have any "noise pollution" but I can understand the claimed complaints. The walls are paper thin and when I would walk to the elevator I could here some conversations crystal clear.
They had plenty of plugins for electronics, and even AV, USB and HDMI boxes for a ROKU or computer hook up! Which if your spending time in your room bring something because its just basic cable.
Their is a fridge in the room but the microwave & ice bag are in the lobby. The lobby is a pretty cool place to hang out, lots of seating, a nice bar, pool table and eating nook. The mini gym and the pool are tucked away and semi-private.
The biggest complaint I have, which kept them from a 5 star rating, is that the pool was REALLY cold. If your not swimming its no big deal, but I was with a excited beginning swimmer so it's mandatory! (Not a big pool but if your traveling for pool extravagance then your going to Wis Dells.)
Their is a breakfast area with snacks, and a chef in the morning but its pretty expensive so your better off bringing in your own snacks or planning on going out.
Everything is within walking distance (1-2 miles), so bring comfy shoes or plan on street parking. You have a beautiful skyline picture view if you just walk down the street.

Located on the riverfront on the north end of downtown. Trendy upbeat lobby and friendly staff. Seemed like a younger crowd stays there as opposed to the typical business traveler. Nice place to stay for the price.

Room was very nice, the bed was comfortable and pills fluffy. The shower needs more pressure, the walls are a bit thin and we couldn't find the ice machine. But all over it was a very nice stay.

Overall not a bad hotel, the rooms are a bit small for the average Midwestern hotel. It has a trendy look and is by most things in downtown. It is within walking distance of bars and restaurants. Also the rates are reasonable for downtown.

Like the modern decor of rooms and lounge, desk, etc. Each night (except night leading to checkout) of "going green" (declining service) brings a $5 certificate to use in any of the areas that have food or drinks. Our room faced a courtyard, so I'd ask for a city-facing room in the future. Walking distance to some great dining options.

The hotel itself was very nice, clean and update. But the staff was SO INCREDIBLY RUDE!! They literally harassed us. Just because we were a bachlorette party. We were not loud, nor disrespectful yet we were followed into the elevator by a lady working for the hotel and was told "this is your first warning" and we weren't doing anything wrong. Than we get a knock on our door telling us to "keep it down or leave" and we were already in bed with the lights out!!! So disrespectful!! Never going there again!!

We really enjoyed that it was literally a five minute walk to fiserv fourm. The view was lovely. But our tv did not work, they told us it would be fixed by the time we got back from our concert and it wasn't. Called down and they said they would send someone and never did... We also did not like that the bathroom sliding door would not shut all the way. It would shut at the very top but there was a good two inch gap at the bottom. Also did not like hearing a dog barking in the middle of the night from a nearby room. The room was pretty small. I definitely would not spend almost $200 for a room here again. Talked to the front desk and they comped our valet parking because the tv didnt work. Yes, you heard that right. You must use a valet for $30 or the parking lot down the road for $25

The rooms were just ok. The tv system is old and outdated for a hotel that is "trendy". They offer valet for 30$ a day or you can find parking across the street for 10$. Location is amazing, right across from the new bucks stadium being built. The sound proofing of the rooms to the outside is pretty awful. There is a lot of foot traffic for the bars and you can hear every drunk person walking by

Wonderful hotel. WXYZ (the bar) has a great happy hour. $3 drafts, $3 well coctails, $3.50 house wines from 5 to 7pm Sun-Thur. They also have a menu of $6 coctails all day. The staff is cool also.

This place is amazing top to bottom you have to come here and see what it has to offer.
Just wish front of Aloft was a little bigger for car traffic, and space for valet to there job without any issues of mobility.

The place is beautiful. My view from the room had beautiful buildings in the corners and construction in the middle but construction will be fine at some point and this will be a great view. Lots of windows and natural light. The room has a HDMI connection on the desk that connects to the TV in the room which is great for games or sharing a PowerPoint and testing your presentation. The room isn't large but the space is used well and it feels comfortable and everything has a spot.

Nice location and very helpful and welcoming staff. Greg checked us in and was so helpful in providing information. The corner room we had was nice but noisy from outside traffic on the bridge. Highly recommend asking for a room away from the bridge. The room was clean and the public areas were very nice.

It has been a long time since we stayed in a Hotel but I just wanted to let people know that from the people working the desk to the people who carried our bags to cleaning the room was one of the best service experiences I have ever had. They were so polite and when we would call down to the front desk to request anything, people working there would immediately bring our request right up. I do cleaning for a living and when I looked about the room and bathroom it was immaculate. I hope that this review makes your stay as pleasant as ours was because we drove from Pittsburgh, Pa and were very tired when we got there and it felt so warm walking in there being greeted by such a wonderful staff. I hope that managers are reading this as well because you have a wonderful staff and cleaning crew.

Our stay was pretty actually pretty decent. 130 dollars for two guests, friendly staff.

However, they're extremely cavalier with how they use your credit card on file. We ended up getting charged a $250 smoking fee (we don't smoke) that took 4 weeks and multiple calls to resolve. What should have been a relatively pleasant 1 day stay for $130 ended up being a 4 week ordeal that ended up costing us $380 for one night (they refused to reverse the charge).

At 10:00 on weekends this becomes ground zero of the Milwaukee party scene, so expect rowdy crowds and LOTS of noise until 3:30 AM, an hour after the bars close. If you can fall asleep to loud cars, yelling, and bass thumping you ll be good. Look elsewhere unless that s your thing.

A shame the neighborhood really does ruin a decent hotel.

I was booked into this hotel by my company, but my plan is to check out in the morning to find a hotel staffed by and designed for adult humans.
The rooms are small and lusicrously designed. (A window into the shower from the tiny bedroom?) No closet and no drawers make it impossible to settle in, one s only option is to scatter your suitcase s contents as neatly as possible across the single 4 x2 counter in the corner above cheap in-wall A/C unit. The design aesthetic seems to be 1960 s Star Trek crossed with a eurotrash sensibility.
The bed linens are sandpaper consisting of a top sheet, thin comforter, long stands of straight black hair, topped by another top sheet. The one chair in the room is a flimsy unibody office roller. The bathroom area, again no drawers, features and an idiotic standalone bowl atop a counter design for the sink that adds to the low rent CB2 look of the whole place.
The shower has pump dispensers, a la a gym locker room. The bathroom has no ventilation. No microwave and a refrigerator the size of a lunchbox crammed in under the sink await you in this bleak bore of a motel masquerading as a hotel.
The view out the window is of a series of construction trailers being stored in the lot adjacent.
Down in the lobby I was asked for cigarettes by the pimp (not an assumption, his prostitutes were at the bar) who was playing pool to the overly loud sound of Top 40 hits. At the bar, two seperate meth heads decked, in the dead of winter, in socks and sandals argued over who be talkin at them before one of them finally engaged the services of one of the ladies of the night. This was followed by one of the hotel employees coming over to eat their Chinese food with their friends while their puppy that had been brought to visit peed on the lobby rug.
The two stars I alotted to the hotel is for the fact that it is indeed indoors and and does indeed have what seems to be a working smoke detector.

These comments are not particular to the Milw location, but are definitely applicable to it: The construction of the hotel is such that sound travels easily from floor to floor and hall to room. The windows are not sufficiently covered do light comes in quite easily. Darkness is not an option. The fan/air conditioner had one setting, loud. (Actually, high). It's a hotel for the young or very drunk, those who can pass out, rather than fall asleep.

Double charged us for taxes & told us we d be refunded 3 weeks ago. I ve called multiple times & there is never a manager on duty. Manager doesn t call back after I ve requested it multiple times.

All great until it was time to go. We called down for the valet to get the car ready. When we got down to the front, we still endd up waiting for 30 minutes because they could not find the valet person to go get our car. he must have been sleeping somewhere. They tried to call him on the radio with no response. Luckily security went and found him. We almost lost our chance to catch the ferry across the lake to Michigan.

Great! Clean modem hotel, not noisy, friendly staff. A word of caution! Their current parking situation is valet only (I believe that's while they're waiting on parking construction to be complete).

Stayed here one night. Pretty impressive. Very clean, and modern amenities. The room was amazing.I've stayed in quite a few hotels over the years. This one is pretty high on my list of favorites. Great location. I have raved about our stay to everyone I know and showed them the pictures and they all couldn't believe it. If you are debating on staying here,do it. And get the valet,it's worth it as parking is across the river. And Old World 3rd St. Is awesome. Lots of great places close by.

Pool, both kinds..., a bar, games, on the river to easily walk around, fairly priced. I didn't buy their breakfast. Seems everyone complains about paying for it. Honestly, I've only had a few good hotel breakfasts. You're always better trying out what the town has to offer or bringing your own banana. Everything is very modern. I had no issues with the room. A vibrating bed for a quarter is the only improvement to be made.

Modern digs with tech conveniences in the downtown area. Not many breakfast options in the area but food is available for purchase. Comfortable beds but walls were thin. Earplugs are provided for free. Hookups tho tv included for cmp and video game systems.

The hotel is lovely and the staff is very professional and friendly. They did everything to make us feel welcome and comfortable. The room we had was great, it was clean, modern and comfortable. Would come back again!

This location was perfect for events at the Pabst Theatre as it was essentially directly connected to it. All parking seemed to be valet, at least the overnight one that we did ($30). The service was fantastic and accommodating. The gentleman at the front desk even allowed us to borrow a sharpie overnight, as minor and random as that may seem. The room we stayed in seemed very modern. The door key was RFID instead of mag steps; tall ceilings; shower/toilet area was behind essentially a sliding wall by the sink; and even the lowering curtains were stylish. The only negatives were that I couldn't find any USB ports to charge from; the selection of channels on the TV were very limited (~50. No GSN =( ); and the sliding wall to the bathroom area didn't seem to be closable all the way. People couldn't see into the bathroom though, and I'm not completely certain whether a lock existed or not.
