Valet lost our car key other than that good place to stay

Modern decor, attractive rooms and comfortable beds

Very clean and nice hotel overall. Bathroom could use some minor updates but otherwise very nice hotel.

Arrived here close to 4:00 PM and was informed that our room wasn't ready yet, it was getting it's final inspection. Hotel comped us drinks at the bar-nice touch. However, it seemed that there was an increase in guests due to a wedding but not an increase in staff so service was slow. Took about 15-20 minutes before the bartender could get to us. Had our drinks and about 45 minutes after arrival, checked on status of the room and still wasn't ready; came to get us from the bar about 5 minutes later. Got up to our room to drop off our luggage; room was nice and clean. Asked for a room with a view of the river, which we got but unfortunately, river is surrounded by parking lots so that's mainly what you see. There's also a bridge that goes over the river and you can hear people driving over it ALL.NIGHT.LONG. Can also hear people in the room's on either side and them walking around upstairs.

Staff was friendly but service was a bit slow. Since this was a last minute trip to Milwaukee, couldn't get to picky with the hotel but will definitely make sure to plan ahead next time and find a different hotel.

Newish hotel with nice rooms. Would allow us to check-in and be informed when our room was ready, instead we had to keep calling and ask.

Good service, but the room had a little wear and tear

Milwaukee was a great visit with excellent weather. Aloft is a great place to stay and very centrally located. Take the ferry, it's a good morning ride!!

I got married July 28,2018 . NEVER HAVE I EVER EXPERIENCED SUCH RACISM!! AND RACIAL PROFILING. MY GUEST HAD TO LEAVE AT 3AM DUE TO THE HOTEL HAVING BEDBUGS!!!

THE EVENT PLANNER WAS THE WORST ANGELA BOSWICK WAS HORRIBLE!! THEY HAD SECURITY WALKING THROUGH MY WEDDING LIKE WE WHERE CRIMINALS.WHEN MY UNCLE WHO WORKS FOR THE US GOVERNMENT ASKED THEM ,WHY WERE THEY WALKING THROUGH AND STANDING AROUND IN MY EVENT ? THEY STATED HOTEL MANAGEMENT ASKED THEM TO BE THERE . THEY ALSO STATED THEY HAVE NEVER HAD TO DO ANYTHING LIKE THIS BEFORE AT A WEDDING AND CONSIDERING WE WHERE BLACK PEOPLE THE HOTEL REQUESTED IT!!! ON TOP OF EVERYTHING WE PAID FOR OPEN BAR AND THEY CHARGED MY GUEST FOR DRINKS WHEN MY HUSBAND BROUGHT IT TO ANGELA BOSWICK ATTENTION SHE LIED AND SAID WE DID NOT HAVE OPEN BAR. MY HUSBAND THEN PULLED THE CONTRACT OUT. SHE LEFT OUT THE ROOM. WHEN SHE CAME BACK SHE TOLD THE BARTENDER TO WRITE DOWN EVERYTHING AND CUT MY GUEST OFF AT 500$ WHEN SHE HAD CHARGE THEM FOR DRINKS FOR TWO HOURS PRIOR. THE VALET WHERE RIPPING MY GUEST OFF AS WELL THEY TOLD MY MOTHER WHO IS A STOKE VICTIM THAT SHE HAD TO PAY 40$ CASH UP FRONT OR PARK DOWN THE STREET THEY CLAIM THEY DID NOT EXCEPT CREIDT OR DEBIT CARDS. WHEN A WHITE GUY WAS PAYING AT THE FRONT DESK WITH A DEBIT CARD FOR THE VALET!!! MY HUSBAND CALLED THE CORPORATE OFFICE AND MADE A COMPLAINT THEY NEVER GOT BACK WITH US WE ARE STILL WAITING ON A RESPONSE

The aloft brandy has not disappointed me yet! The hotel has a bar open in the evening, pool and fitness room open 24h and the location is great. The room was very clean and comfortable. Checkin was smooth and quick. When I head back to the area, I'll most definitely stay there again.

The bed is amazing! Big soft pillows and a memory foam mattress. The room was very modern, and the shower is awesome! ( no tub) Plus it was very nice to have free valet parking downtown Milwaukee.

The hotel was great, modern and very accommodating. The valet is expensive and terrible. We called once to get our car and they stayed they had three people ahead of us and was going to take 30-40 minutes. The next morning I called 30 minutes before we left so we wouldn t have the same issue. Two guys were standing by the service and our car was no where to be found. 15 minutes later they finally brought our car...

New age hotel but reasonably priced. Not over the top service but solid for the price. Overall decent hotel but don't set your expectations high.

The service was really good and everyone was really nice and accomadating.

This was our first experience with the Aloft Hotels and I think unfortunately it may be our last. This is a modern hip hotel that had all the right ideas but lacked some of the execution. Personally speaking, this is a very small hotel, the lobby bar and breakfast area are all cramped next to each other. Everything is modern themed but you can tell once you get to the rooms that they tried to make this a higher than usual end hotel but cut some corners in the process. Rooms were not as pleasant as the pics posted online, cable box was falling from the tv and had wires exposed and hanging on the walls. We were promised a room with a view over the water when in fact it was a room with a view of a road near a bridge which I guess had water below it. (More like Main Street view!) Additionally they have odd hours for their bar and breakfast was not included. Parking was also a mess and was included in your bill already as an additional charge. They could not keep up, we constantly found ourselves late for events due to not having my car readily available. Overall this hotel had all the right ideas to make it great but didn t live up to the vision. Next time in the Milwaukee area I will likely try something a bit higher end. Overall our stay was enjoyable as we tried to stay active around the city as much as possible! The best aspect of this hotel is it s location as it s right next to Fiserv Forum and many other things to do downtown Milwaukee!

Attended social event in ball/dining room. Very modern decorations and quite upper-class feel to the place. Food tasted wonderful but with small portions. Good location and very nice outdoor area attached to ballroom.

It's a good size room if you're coming from a jail cell. Bad area and nothing like what the website shows at all. So disappointed in the hotel we left after 1 day. So much for our anniversary vacation. Lumpy beds and pillows were extremely flat.

Stopped in for drinks, the bartender was very nice and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was great, loved the lights inside the bar counter. Very busy, but nice, I would go again!

Outside street noise but i didn't request off so no other concerns staff was very good

Great atmosphere and convenient to downtown. There was a forgotten article of clothing that smelled like cigarettes in our non-smoking room when we got there. Some of the staff was friendly but some couldn't be bothered. Nice hotel, average experience.

Valet parking was extra but worth it. Great location. Friendly staff, nice room, yucky shower, but overall good stay.

Room was not clean at check in; there were mike&ikes on the floor next to the bed. There is no parking lot at this establishment. Be prepared to pay for the hotels valet parking at $27 / day. Middle aged SUPER hipster establishment. Hotel is non-traditional and trying so hard to be hip, that it was akward. The "restaurant" and "bar" are all part of the lobby when you walk in. The staff was notably super polite and friendly. Has great views of downtown .

I must say I had so much fun at this hotel. The service was wonderful every person there from the employees to the guest were very nice I would recommend this hotel to everyone

The hotel itself was ok. What upsets me is the valet parking. I paid $360 for two nights. Each time I wanted my car I wanted 30+ minutes to get it, which should never happen when you pay that much for valet.
When I went to checkout, I again, waited 30+ minutes for my car when I could see it sitting right outside the building. The man at the front desk asked every person waiting for their car what one they were waiting for but me. Its very shocking that a modern hotel would treat me differently because I m younger. Well guess what, all those older men and women who got their cars first (even when I was waiting longer) probably don t know how to write a review.
I usually wouldn t take the time to write a review, but as a broke college student who spent that much money (especially for a hotel that was a 20 minute walk from AMKE) I m pretty upset.
Don t waste your money on valet.

Amazing location next to the main Street. Walking distance from major attraction sites and night life. The rooms were really clean and family friendly.

Hotel is in a good location, but you do have to pay for valet parking. Lobby was clean, however our room was a different story. The bed was not comfortable, or were the pillows. The view of the river was pretty, but very noisy. The bathroom door to the toilet was very odd (like a sliding door) and did NOT lend to privacy, so be comfortable with whomever is staying with you. Worst of all, our bathroom floor was STICKY and GROSS. We nicely told the girl in reservations that we'd be out so someone could come in to clean it and she said it would be done before we came back, but it was not. We got in very late at night and the hotel was booked, so switching rooms was not an option. We told the same girl at check out that it had not been cleaned and her reply was dismissively "sorry about that". This hotel it was not worth the price we paid. NEXT TIME I WOULD SPEND A FEW BUCKS EXTRA AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I loved the lobby area, it was really upscale classy. Jarred, the bartender was amazing! The drinks he made were delicious and he was really friendly.

Our room wasn't ready when we arrived. Came back an hour later and the room was supposed to be ready. Got to the room and the door was open, there was food on the counter and the bed wasn't made. They moved us to a room that didn't face the river. I changed my star to 2 from 1 because they are discounting our room.

I would stay here again. Great location in downtown Milwaukee Wisconsin.

Rooms were nice overall, but hallways did not smell pleasant, shower did not drain well due to pitching of the base, no indication of where to get ice in room, in hallways or by front desk staff initially. Parking was valet only and it took an hour for valet to bring us our car only after I reminded them that we requested it.

Quality, but you pay for it. Rooms were nice but small. Overall the hotel was wonderful. My lack of stars is for the forced valet parking, and slow valet service. Not the best location if you plan a lot of driving... you'll spend more time waiting for your car. They need to resolve their valet issues and they would get five stars.

Rooms are sleek and clean. Location is very convenient in downtown Milwaukee. Bathrooms don't have handles or locks which is kinda weird.

It's a great place to have an event! My group used the ballrooms on the first floor and it has a lot of space for a big amount of people

Just ok place for me and need to be improved a lot to achieve Marriott standards and lot of confusions while checking in on room allotments. Standard of the room are average

Got a same day cheap night on Priceline but you wouldn t have guessed by how well the staff treated me. Fitness center is a little small, but who uses that? Would definitely come back when I m not actually a local.

I was only there for one night but the rooms were beautiful and clean! It was nice to hear that our room was almost ready and that it just needed to be inspected, which means they care about cleanliness! The staff greeted us everytime we walked through the door!

Service at the Front Desk was ok,but in top of my reservation I had to pay 50.00 when I got there which priceline didn't said just Incas of damage?,once I got to my room the bathroom was super dirty,hair on the sink,it was super grumpy, the shower was moldy,there was water on the floor Idkbif it was toilet water or from a leak from the shower, the sheets on the bed they looked like someone was jumping on them, they had a funky smell,

Can't valet a truck and trailer, went back and forth with some VERY inappropriate valet employees, asked for managers number and was ignored. Pushed it further and went to the front desk for the valet managers number and received it, called and no answer. Valet sent pictures of my truck to her "boss" and when I finally got in contact with him, he was very short, had the "my way or the highway" mindset, didn't even try to park my truck when I stated I would pay for 2 spots. Was then told that would work, then minds changed. He was very disrespectful to me as a customer, didn't care that I paid for a room, basically told me to screw off and when I said I'm done with this hotel, he hung up. Was told my money would be refunded that night and it wasn't.

Very poor experience overall and was looking forward to the stay. Was very mislead. Oh and we didn't get the room we paid for either. "It was booked"

Don't plan on going back ever. Sad it worked the way it did my friends and I were excited.

Awesome swanky place. Could use work on sound proofing for outside road noise.

I ve stayed here a few times now so here we go -

Cons

- Outside noise level will keep ya up, even if you think you re a heavy sleeper
- The rooms are always 100 degrees when you get into them because they turn the air off. Literally took almost 3 hours to cool it down.
- Very little to no parking
- I couldn t get anyone to answer me on the chat via the Marriott app.
- Food options are quite horrible

Great location in the downtown river area. Clean rooms updated hotel. Staff was marginally friendly. It's a nice updated, clean minimalistic hotel in a great location.

free pool, nice atmosphere with professional staff that made me feel at home.

Wedding Reception

My husband and I got married in May, in Minnesota, and we decided to do a Wedding Reception for the Fall in Milwaukee (home to both my hubby & i) for multiple reasons, i.e. saving money, flexibility of having guests who weren't able to attend the Wedding in Minnesota to be able to join in celebration in Milwaukee, etc!

I've been working with Angela B., Sales Coordinator at Aloft Milwaukee, since January of this year. She's absolutely great! For many months, we've been in contact about the various details of our reception, and I just have to say that she's made this planning experience not only personal to my husband and I but also very smooth and stress-free.

If you're planning an event or need an awesome venue, go with Aloft Milwaukee Downtown. And if you need a great sales Coordinator that provides exceptional customer service, ask for Angela Bostwick. :) -J

This is the best hotel i have ever been to. The only thing that could make it better would be a free complentary breakfast. That would make it great. But the valet prices are pretty high. But overall it is a great experience and it is for sure the most likely to win awards in the Milwaukee location. Definitely a wonderful experience and it is definitely worth it!

Great downtown location. Staff is very friendly. You can earn bonus spg points if you reject maid service. Staff is very friendly and helpful. There is no ice machines - you have to call and ask for it.

Room was cold about 60 degrees ,not a pleasent arrival. Lobby has a very industrial feel - not warm at all. Valet parking was less than impressive service. Probably would choose a differant marriott property for my next visit to MKE.

I love all Marriot hotels and the Aloft in Milwaukee was front and center to some crazy nightlife! We stayed here for a wedding we attended just a couple blocks away and this hotel was rocking! Yes it was loud and dog friendly but the partying quieted-down and we all got some good sleep! I absolutely

Valet parking was said to be 30 dollars, but other lots are nearby and cheaper. The hotel itself was nice, and the guy at the counter was pleasant.

I ll start with the positives: at check in the front desk was very friendly and at checkout they were friendly and quick.

Now the negatives. This place seems understaffed. It took 10 minutes just to charge a few drinks to my room. The selection of drinks is rather disappointing too. Our room was dirty and (literally) falling apart. The bathroom door was not level so never had a full sense of privacy. There was food on the floor from the previous guest and the nightstand had a disguising stain on it. The bathroom floor was also fairly dirty with random foot prints and grime. The internet was fairly slow as well.

Also keep in mind that this is near Water Street so expect it to be noisy when the bars start letting out at night.

I was excited for my stay here but was incredibly disappointed. I will not be staying here in the future.

It was a good stay during my conference trip. They offered a grab and go snack credit for no cleaning service for the day.

A hotel designed to minimize guest comfort. The rooms are uncomfortable and uninviting. Thin walls, dirty carpet, poor layout. No parking.

This is a nice hotel with a modern flair. Walkable to many things, including Brady St. and Old World Third St. activities. The rooms could use a little decoration to not look so bland, and many have only a view of the inside courtyard. Pool is nice, but could use cleaning. Staff were friendly. Parking is non-existent, and valet is quite expensive for the area. Plan on street parking or finding another local lot to save money.

Just here for a conference. Not the best venue for that, but Ok for a smaller meeting.

Hotel was very nice, the pillows were not comfortable for me, but that was the only real negative. The TV remote didn't work, but they brought up an brand new one in under 5 minutes.
