Looks cool but it doesn't always function. Odd small annoying things like off kilter toilet seat to view into shower from the beds. The pool is a joke and it's small room is humid. Nice things: fun part of town, pool table.

Nice clean modern hotel. Walking distance to lots of restaurants. They have an app you can use as your room key, but I was disappointed to find you can only set it up on one phone. So if you want multiple keys you still have to get a physical one. I love the soap/shampoo dispensers in the shower. Probably a lot less wasteful than the tiny bottles. Free WiFi but it is fairly slow. Not unbearably slow, but slow enough to notice if you're downloading anything.

Really unhappy with the service her. They messed up the room I wanted; got a two queen room, instead got a king bed. To sleep 6 people...

Asked for a roll in bed they said they didn't have any so the sent up 2 comforters and two pillows to lay on the ground which would normally be ok but the ground was unreasonably hard.

Room smelled like feet. A/C worked very very poorly. Pool had cloudy and slightly green water.

If you like Aloft then you'll like this place! No parking that I am aware of, but I didn't have a car. Also, you don't really need it. It's right across the river from some great bars and restaurants.

It is a good central downtown Milwaukee location. There is no parking on site. So you either have to pay $27 to valet parking or park in a paid lot a few blocks away. The room was small in size, but bright and comfortable. My room faced the road and was quite loud throughout the evening and morning as cars drown over the bridge outside located right near the hotel. The room contained a safe which I thought was nice, but had no microwave. There is no restaurant onsite, but they do offer a 24 hour grab and go food and drink section located in the lobby. The lobby was very trendy and had time of seating and a small bar located off to the side.

Great location walking distance from a fun down town full of breweries and pubs. It was also a very spacious room with lots of space to spred out. Only Draw back was the lack of privacy in the bathroom aria

We used the Aloft Milwaukee for our Wedding Block. Angela was AMAZING to work with, she responded to all of our requests in a timely manner and was always so enjoyable to work with. She gave us multiple tours and adjusted our block whenever it was requested. Our guests all loved the location and the value! Thank you, Aloft Milwaukee!

I stayed at this hotel recently with my husband and kids. The only real perk was the location as it was easy to go out walking to explore Milwaukee. Our complaints were: showerhead speayed everywhere as there was buildup that prevented it from spraying down on you; the A/C wasn t working correctly because all the air was moist which made the sheets on beds and carpet feel moist as well; light in toilet/shower was not able to operate independent of the vanity light so the entire room was lit up anytime someone used the bathroom. My husband voiced his complaints upon checkout and nothing was done to compensate us.

I absolutely adored this hotel.

I absolutely adored this hotel.
The charm, the location and the service better than any luxury hotel I've stayed at a very long time. It's the hard working people who go the extra mile to make guests feel welcome really make me choose one hotel brand over another. I want to thank Brendan for making my business associates and my stay a 5-Star experience. Check-in was a breeze and using the App supersized the experience. The views from the room were utterly breath taking. Utterly.
After returning from a day of meetings, finding hand written notes just took the stay over the top. When in Milwaukee, this is the place to stay.

The amenities were nice. Pool, pool tables, and other games. Also their own little bar/lounge area. The rooms were super small and not very family friendly. We had to wait over and hour for our room even though we had a certain check in time. They kept saying 20 more minutes. If you re a single person or just a couple, it would be a nice place to stay. Not worth the price for the room but there are bars that are in walking distance.

The hotel staff was amazing but the valet service leaves alot to be desired. First they lost 2 sets of keys for our parties vehicles, 1 set they lost twice and a family member had to bring a spair set. Second they were using one of our parties vehicles to shuttle other valets to and from the parking lot. Third they lost multiple cars and parked them where some of the vehicles got parking tickets! Just avoid this hotel if you have a car.

I guess for $130/night, it was nice. The room was clean, valet was pleasant and front desk people were nice. The water pressure left a lot to be desired and our room had a nice view of everyone else's rooms, so it was best to keep the blinds closed. Breakfast was expensive and not included.

Staff is great. Front desk, bar tender, valet and cleaning crew are awesome. Blew up a testicle laughing at how cheaply the structure was built, but staff came through. They should be getting paid much more than they are for making the experience tolerable.

Having a drink, and went to front desk to have valet retrieve car, supposed in 10 to 15 minutes, BUT front desk said would order from valet, kept looking for car and after 30 minutes approached valet, key still locked, and said no one ordered, so another 20 minute wait for car - 50 minute total is not acceptable when $30 fee for valet

We liked the hotel in general, but our bathroom door was stuck open, and we didn't like the fact that there was no complimentary breakfast, nor microwave in each room. These were things that of course we could have found out online, but felt that they were pretty standard in hotels so hadn't looked into it. This review is more of a reflection of Aloft in general however, not this specific location.

The allure of Aloft properties for many SPG loyalists, like me, is a consistent experience. This Aloft is inconsistent in three disappointing ways:
1 - Low quality upkeep and specifically a very unpleasant, cheap, and chemical odor in each room. Additionally I had a broken television upon arrival for one stay.
2 - Noticeably low water pressure in the shower (Not isolated to just one room)
3 - Poor customer service. I informed the front desk of a broken television upon arrival and was informed the staff would send someone to fix. No one ever showed and when I followed up to complain after checking out the next morning, I still haven't heard back. And I reached out via both email and direct phone line to the manager.

If you're an SPG member, there are unfortunately no great options in Milwaukee until the Westin opens. So, until then I recommend staying at the Kimpton Jouneyman instead.

The rooms were ok except the door to the bathroom left about 6 inches of space when you try to shut it. In some rooms you can see strait in to the shower from your room. But the rest of the room is very nice. Also the second day our key cards though we put them no where near our phones stoped working. Then we had 1 key for 3 people. The hotel cleaning service was very nice and did a pretty good job, but one lady was going to let me and my friend in a room with out knowing if it was ours. Overall though the hotel was very accommodating for my group.

The welcome Jay gave us on a busy weekend with a full lobby was 100% !
Rooms are modern but not garish. Great bench instead of lugging out a typical luggage rack from the closet. I love the sustainable shower toiletries. Chance for a view of downtown.

We typically love the aloft hotel chain but this experience was horrible! While the staff were pleasant the following experiences soured our stay.

1. This location only has approximately 5 parking spots so you are forced to use their $30 valet or try and find street parking.

2. Upon check in you need to provide a credit card for incidentals. We were never advised they would hold $50 for 7-10 business days (????) until it is released. We've stayed in other locations and this was never the case. Veve never informed us when asking for the card nor is this posted anywhere including the receipt.

3. The bathroom wasn't clean. The toilet and sink was still dirty upon check in. Additionally, the grout and the shower floor are in serious need of a deep clean. Lastly the walls were caked with dust.

Avoid this hotel

Modern look. Very friendly staff, Jay at the valet is great. Spacious bathroom area, but the door to the bathroom is a sliding door that does not close all the way, and the shower heads provide no water pressure. Comfortable beds and pillows. Reasonable priced and dog friendly.

First and foremost this place is very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby is inviting and open. It has a Modern feel to it. The room was very clean as well. Now for the loss of a Star, there are only two light switches at the entrance so the bathroom light will be on to where if someone was trying to sleep could be distribed. There wasn't a light in the shower area so it was kind of dark in the shower but there is a large frosted window that allows light to come in. The shower handle was loose and the worst part of this room and I would think that it was consistent with the other rooms was the door that separates the toilet and the sink area, it is a sliding door that does not seal so that there is a gap at either end of the door to allow any noise coming from the toilet area to the rest of the room. Other than that I didn't hear any other noise from any other guests. Great stay and would stay again except I would find my only parking and save the $27.00 it costs to park your car which was not included in the price of the hotel.

Renovated guest rooms were nice, but the hallway noise was unbearably bad at times. Guests walking by woke us up multiple times throughout the night. Valet parking was easy, it was unlimited in and out.

Very bad experience. I travel for work and always stay at hotels of the Marriott group. The rooms are OK, except for the A/C / heater which is terribly loud. The windows are poorly isolated so you can hear a very annoying noise every time a car passes by. More annoying, on my 1st night someone was throwing a party in their room (on a Monday night...) and on the 2nd night someone was banging on my door at 3 AM.
Last but not least breakfast options are terrible. Would not recommend at all.

The valet service was wonderful. All the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I always love the look of aloft hotels, but this one needed a better tile installer. Otherwise it was great!

They charged me a $50 Hold on my card then it took 3 days to be giving back to me which they did not tell me when I checked in. My 4 year old had a sleep over at the hotel for her birthday with 3 other small children so there was trash that I organized like (3Pizza boxes & empty cupcake rappers etc) & I cleaned all that up and put it in trash bags myself & set the bag which was 1 trash bag to the side for the cleaning service to get when they cleaned the room. No damages nor anything misplaced when we checked out but When they released my $50 I only received $19 and some change which means the rest was charged for the bag of trash I left and If I had known that they would charge me for taking out trash I could have cleaned the entire room & changed the sheets too even fixed the broken fridge they had that couldn t keep anything cold........ They only have a small in door pool NOT A SPA NOR JACUZZI & No parking due to it being down town I. The same area as the NEW BUCKS ARENA but They do offer $30 valet so yeah...... The Front desk staff were nice though so that s the only good thing....

Very good hotel close to the Bucks arena and downtown access. Well appointed and nice studio style rooms. A.C. was a little hard to control but bed was comfy and staff was good. Prices for serve yourself food items was high. Plenty of local eateries nearby.

The hotel is located right downtown, a perfect spot for seeing a show at the Pabst Theater. The room was modern, clean and very comfortable. We'd definitely stay there again and highly recommend it.

The shower and tiled bathroom floor looked like they needed a deep clean. The shower didn't drain well. The (king bed) room didn't have a real closet - more like a cabinet in the bathroom. The ironing board was so old that it had visible stains and caused more wrinkles than rid of them. The service was not great. If you are on a business trip and want an after work cocktail - go to a nearby pub instead. The hotel bartender was MIA all night and any time a patron wanted a drink, the front desk had to go find the bartender to help. When I finally did get my beer ordered, the bartender gave me the wrong one. Overall - very cheap feeling place. You can hear everything in the room (road noise, footsteps above, doors creaking open, vacuuming, plumbing, etc).
